I have been attending Alfa Counseling in Worthington for over a year now and it has been nothing but wonderful. The lobby and different rooms are modern and professional, COVID conscious, and welcoming staff. Would recommend anyone to this practice.
Just a terrible place. I have actually had to go here twice in the past year or two and have had an awful experience each time. While the service staff are great One of the main practitioners Dr.Mia Hall is one of the worst / most unorganized therapists I have ever interacted with. Every time I have visited Alfa I myself been forced to follow up and request contact or action items that were assigned to me. Hopefully I will never have to return to this therapist or this organization ever again. Sometimes a review is just a kneejerk reaction to one poor experience, this poor service however has occurred during every interaction. I would check psychology today for other far more organized mental health professionals.
While I cannot speak negatively on the clinical aspect of Alfa, their business practices are less than professional. My first issue with their practices was the irregularity in when a balance would show on my account and when they would charge the card, sometimes it was $20, sometimes it was $170. My biggest battle has been since March, they promised us to refund us our deposit since we were not utilizing their services any longer, over and over again we were told that the refund will be processed within the week, we are now in October and have not received our refund. We have called and left multiple voicemails in the last month and at this point we are just not receiving a callback. Well the refund is only around $200, and these uncertain times it’s not in good taste to hold on to other peoples money, especially when they are obviously struggling with mental health challenges.
