Mechanics Hall is a beautiful historical and unique venue. The team at Mechanics Hall go above and beyond to make sure that you have a great experience. I highly recommend exploring Mechanics Hall for any of your rental hall needs.
Looks a bit old fashioned but cute. Acoustics is good. Parking is not bad even though no lot of its own.
There is not a better place to host an event, recording session, or enjoy a performance. A cultural and historical non profit venue thats world renowned. Staff work very hard to provide great customer service with a personal touch.
One of the acoustically best concert halls in the world, Yo-Yo Ma on April 7, 2019 to a packed house. Not a bad seat in the house. All floors and restrooms are accessible except the balconies. Accessible entrance and paid parking lot in back of building, but arrive at least 45 minutes early to get a parking spot.
Mechanics Hall is an amazing building that connects the past to the present. It is very much a grand hall that can seat hundreds, and us used for a wide variety of functions. We were there attending Burns Night, complete with the Worcester Kilties playing pipes, and a full multi course meal being served. The hall itself is amazing, considering it is on the third floor. Its truly a massive open space, with paintings on every wall, and wonderful details in the ceiling. It is worth a visit !
Old fashion with state of the art features!!! Love it!!!!
This magnificent and historical concert hall is world renowned for its acoustics. We enjoy the free Brown Bag concerts in the late Fall and in March. They offer programming year round. Check out their website. Parking can be tricky.
They say this is one of the best acoustic buildings in the world. They arent lying. The sound is unbelievable. You have to experience it.Id love to see some accapella groups there. Also please turn off the mic. This building is its own mic.
Something about watching a live play that brings spirit back into an story. Great place. Serves alchohol, and food. Little on the pricey side. Still an elegant looking place, but you loose that when you see the people selling things at the top of the stairs. There is plenty of room to have a gift store. Not take up a hall to set up a table to sell things.
The acoustic properties of this venue are world class. Charles Dickens read live here, YO-YO Ma, and many others have performed here. Truly a historic venue with top notch sound. Not a bad seat in the house. Parking is fairly limited like any downtown city venue.
The Hall light magnificent with its old world charm and there is not a bad view from anywhere. My only critique, which cant really be helped due to the age and style of the building - is seating access on the side balconies - the legroom is tight and, depending on where your seat is, you may have to squeeze past several dozen people.
Great place to see a concert. The hall had been beautifully maintained, the staff was polite and helpful. The organ sounds fabulous. Will have to check back to see if there are any regularly scheduled organ performances!
If you have a chance to see something we are especially some kind of Symphony Orchestra you should absolutely do it. Mechanics Hall is well known for its tremendous quality of Acoustics in the hall. It is an attractive enough place, but really the key differentiator for this is the quality of sound when listening to a concert. It is better than Symphony Hall better than most of the major Halls that you have heard of. Well maybe not as prestigious or as beautiful its about the sound and this has it 100%.
A beautiful old space. There should be more signs directing people to the bathrooms though. It was confusing to figure out which direction to go to get to the nearest bathroom. I came for a New Citizen Naturalization Ceremony. The hall can accommodate a lot of people. It was July and the temperature was comfortable, not too cold from too much AC either. Bathrooms were clean and seating was comfortable. A pretty historical venue with a lot of old paintings and ornate trim.
Gorgeous venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy to get to. Plenty of reasonably priced parking garages close by.
My wife and I won tickets to see the Halloween concert that the New England Orchestra was putting on at Mechanics hall...and wow was I impressed. The venue was beautiful, the sound was amazing, they offered alcoholic beverages and water, and even had a small concession for snacks set up.The decor was beautiful. I will try and attend more future shows because this experience was so enjoyable, I wish it was weekly.
Just saw Boston Brass!! What an Amazing concert!!! Jose, a trumpet player was the most talented trumpet player Ive ever seen and Chris, the French horn player was stunning. South High School band was utterly amazing as well. Congratulations to everyone! Loved every minute of it!
It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful this venue is. It is a perfect place to see a performance. It is a great size and the acoustics are incredible. I highly recommend it.
Very nice space. Very friendly. Beautiful architecture. Excellent space to hold your event.
Wonderful atmosphere...great acoustics especially for an organ concert- love to see and hear this great organ played..Please continue offering the Brown bag noontime concerts..
The room was set up amazing. Very enjoyable/ memorable even with Marco. Great fun raiser for the church. Hope the Hall has many more of these events. Loved getting dress up and seeing everyone smiling.
I attended a fundraiser here. Very versatile venue space. Architectural details are amazing. Truly a Worcester treasure! Not too much street parking available, but ample parking in lots nearby.
Beautiful place to attend live events/concerts. Its a must for people to visit and see a show. Also has a great amount of views of all the amazing art work thats all over the area that kid located in. I really recommend this to anyone who likes live shows/events and plays. Also great art all around the area.
This beautiful hall has wonderful acoustics! Located right in downtown Worcester, its easy to park on the street (although you could be in for a hilly hike). There is lots of balcony seating and floor seating. I dont believe there is elevator access to the balcony, however. Ive been there for a graduation and multiple orchestra concerts. My son also played in the smaller Washburn Hall on the second floor, which is lovely as well.
The Staff are curtious and friendly. The room is clean and nice. Enough Parking lot. The location is good. The breakfast is delicious. The hotel accommodation price is affordable.
Beautiful venue with halls appropriate for many event types. Been to four completely different events, in all we were comfortable (good HVAC) and could hear well (good acoustics). Restrooms were quite clean and well kept. Get there early - there are places to park nearby, but they fill up quickly.
It was awsome. The view was so cool.vbut it is was smaller than i imagined. But after that it was Great.
Located in Worcester, MA. Great place for concerts and beautiful architecture!! They play a lot of classical music here with orchestra arrangements. I saw Joshua Bell a well known violinist and another performer who is a well known saxophone player.
Beautiful building with friendly staff. Sound for a horn basedNew Orleans jazz group was so over reinforced, loud, and muddy that it prohibited comprehension of even vocal patter in between songs. We were compelled to leave at the intermission, as did a number of other patrons, who complained of similar reaction. My sense is that this is a nice ambiance for minimally reinforced acoustic venues, and I look forward to an opportunity to return to confirm this opinion.
Beautiful building. Great place for a wedding. A part of Worcester for over 100 years and the architecture shows it.
Very beautiful and spacious !! Educated people who work there! Without doubt I will return in some other event!
A lovely venue with beautiful woodworking. The balcony is expansive with a good view of the stage and the floor below.. I believe they have facilities to prepare food there.
One of my favorite places to hear music. Stunning acoustics, beautifully maintained, friendly staff.
Wonderful place to enjoy a concert. The acoustics are always good.
It was a nice place to see the concert especially during the holidays so you can listen to the traditional Christmas songs and the music they played, it was beautiful
Brown Bag concert series with Navy band & Worcester County Choral was terrific. Part of a free concert series that runs during the spring & fall. Will definitely attend again.
Different experience was 😁 to see people of far away lands very neat pl 💘 it
Food is meh, but the venue is beautiful. Parking is a bit tricky. Arrive early for parking
Attended two concerts here and both were outstanding. The acoustics in this hall are great. Our seats in the balcony were better than the floor. Go here for quality performances.
Best Beatles concert I have ever experienced. Sad there was a low attendance.not sure if it was not advertised properly or tickets to expensive.Of course mechanism hall always perfect acoustic.
When I had a gig there, the food was amazing and it was very beautiful inside. The whole Jazz Band ate salads, and chicken😍. It was delicious
This is a beautiful place. Impeccably maintained. Not what I expected from a not so nice older city, Worcester. Parking nearby was fine.
Great place for a graduation! GPS has some trouble finding it and parking is rough. Once youve settled in its wonderful!
What a beautiful Jewel in heart of Worcester. Majestic in every way. A great place to see a live music performance. Lots of free parking and paid parking in the area. Lighting in the outside areas of the facility could be better.
Amazing pre-Civil War architecture in excellent condition. Remarkably wonderful acoustics. A first-class venue that ennobles Worcester and all of of Massachusetts.
Visually and acoustically fantastic concert space, among some of the best in the world.
Awesome teather space, easy parking at decent rates.👍💯
Absolutely beautiful. Treat yourself to a show here if you have the chance. The Christmas pops were excellent and the free concerts are so incredible youll feel like you paid a hundred bucks. This place is a jewel in the city.
Saw Yo Yo Ma. Extraordinary! He shared that a few months before he chose Mechanics Hall for a new recording of Bach because of its “world class acoustics”. Highly recommend this venue.
Nice place, great history. Staff was definitely a bit off. No coat check set up for event I was at. Carried coat everywhere.
It is truly a treat to attend a concert here.
We hold three events there. Elegant venue. Outstanding staff!
Beautiful Theater. Would definitely come back for another show. Amazing architecture in this place.
I was a maid of honor at two weddings here and it was beautiful! Very accommodating staff and lovely venue! Waitress was a little sassy and presumptuous with the wedding party, but we brushed it off and had a good time!
This hall was very beautiful. It is full of red velvet staircases and has beautiful mirrors. The bands that play here are also very talented.
This is an historic building at which numerous events have taken place. The location is in downtown Worcester. There is a parking lot nearby and on-street parking is available if you can find an empty spot. There is a lot of walking to get to the main event room. While there is an elevator, it is located at the rear of the building and requires a long walk from the front entrance and negotiating stairs, difficult for me because of an ankle injury. There is a rear entrance at the same level of the elevators, but who generally enters at the rear? The hall is beautiful, surrounded by paintings of local historic figures. it reminded me of Symphony Hall in Boston, only smaller. The acoustics were fine for the event I attended, an awards ceremony for Worcester State University students.
My first time there to see the MICCA Gold Medal Showcase. It is a great venue.
Beautiful renaissance revival-style concert hall from Worcesters industrial heyday. Great variety of performers.
Nice venue for concerts and events. Very good renovation
The place is beautiful and for 2 years in a row now 80s night been epic! This year was way better though
Gorgeous concert hall. Performing and spectating here are both memorable experiences.
Very beautiful but comfortable place we enjoyed
Very nice, beautiful, big, nicely decorated, great sound for shows. Staff is very friendly.
Great accoustics. Comfortable. Wouldnt be so good for dance performances since the seating we experienced was not raked, so the view would not be great.
Enjoyed matt frasier show at mechanics hallThe seating was on point.
One of the best hall around in Massachusetts.
Best ever. Cameron Carpenter and the touring organ never sounded better. Thank you Music Worcester for bringing us the best of the best.
Mechanics Hall is beautiful and historic, right in the city centre and the acoustics are to die for. The staff are extremely professional and polite.Theyve always got a wide variety of events too which is great.
Very nice building. Beautiful ceiling. Very clean.
