This is the best fitness spa I have ever visited. From the second I walked in the door I was greeted with fantastic customer service, especially from Jack. I would pay so much more than the fantastic membership price to attend this establishment. If it weren’t for the kindness of young gentlemen like Jack, I don’t believe I would be able to survive in this cruel world.

I don’t know if it’s a gym issue or people issue but the fact yoga is only offered in the mornings now, no evening classes, is very disappointing. Alisha that used to do cycle and yoga was my favorite and is no longer there. So many have gone since the plandemic.

Resent returned back after a year off because of this C19 virus.They seem to be doing a good job keeping the place clean and its real nice to be back too.Downloaded the app recently and the only reason for four stars not five is the app does not show busy times and quiet times like others offer.This would help so much in scheduling especially now when trying to avoid crowds and all.

Had an excellent workout experience thanks entirely to the incredibly attentive employees. I will be buying a membership immediately and possibly dedicate my life to this establishment. Jack Carruth in particular deserves a raise, a promotion, and ideally a location named after him.

Sauna session for today was good ending for the workout. Water in swimming pool was warm and there was also jacuzzi with hot water but bubbles didnt work this time.I enjoyed working out here, the zonal separations of machines is well done.

The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is well taken care of. Outside of that they have a good assortment of equipment that is equally maintained. The locker rooms (at least the mens) is also cleanly. All around Im happy with my membership.

I’ve been going to this location for years, I go at the same time every day. This morning I was just berated and humiliated in front of the whole gym by one of the trainers, Tanner. He screamed at me to get off the treadmill in the downstairs area so an older man could use it. He continued to yell very loudly and wouldn’t let me say a word. I’ve never been so humiliated. That is not how you treat a loyal customer. I left shaking and in tears. I’ve spoken with the manager and will be calling corporate to file a complaint. But what I’m most upset about is now I don’t feel comfortable at my gym where I enjoy working out and feel safe taking my baby. I felt very threatened by this man, like he wanted to cause a scene and fight with me.

Unfortunately the only thing I have against the gym is the front desk. The main manager who’s been there for a while, NEVER smiles, NEVER greets the people, and of course the old gentleman that works that as well, follows the “leader” on the same footsteps, and all the other receptionists trained by him as well. It’s sad because it’s the first impact of the clientele, but for those who can pass the “rudeness” and don’t turn away their business right away because of the first impression and bypass the old grinch and ugly, the unfriendly greeting, it’s an awesome gym.

I personally love this gym. My only complaint is in regards to the women’s locker room - the showers definitely need better cleaning

Gym was great. Joined today. Had a very rude sales guy who signed me up. Doesnt aeem to have any patience whth the older folks. Maybe Silver Sneaker doesnt give him his commission. Anyway cant let a rude sales guy ruin your first day.

Very clean equipment.

Was on a guest pass. Day 1. Sunday morning. As a competitor we were posing fully dressed and someone complained. We werent bothering anyone, being loud or anything. Was asked to leave cause members were complaining. Not our fault we are dedicated and work on our health and wellness to get punished by your facility.Wont be rejoining and neither will my team.

Ive been a member of LA fitness for a few years. I just moved closer to this area so townlake is the closest gym to go to. It seems dirty. Theres very few sanitary stations, which makes me uncomfortable. And not to mention, its literally carpet. The equipment is pretty old too. Not like the new ones at all... And its not really a cheap gym membership for the quality put in this one.

I too have watched this place deteriorate over the last years. Machines, bars, nothing ever gets fixed. The staff only cares about people who buy personal trainers. The place is dirty with used paper towels everywhere, the same spills, hair etc. for weeks. One day in the spring when it was nice out the air was so stale you could barely breathe so I asked if we could just get some fresh air in and the answer was no, it is controlled from California. Really???The locker rooms are disgusting due to carpet which has been in there for years. It smells like.... Well if you still feel like taking a stroll with a sales rep then ask to see... I mean smell the locker room. Good luck to you L.A.

After paying for this membership for 10+ years. I want to bring a friend(that might turn into a customer) and they tell me my guest has to pay $15.00. All we wanted to do was get in the pool and hot tub. I dont want to give it a one star

Most people were Very Nice & I got a 5 day guest pass to check things out but we went to the 5:45 Zumba class and there were only four of us in there me, my sister and our friend can Not dance and are awful at keeping up but We TRIED and laughed and thought we were doing okay for OUR FIRST ZUMBA CLASS but no At the end it was Very unnecessary of the instructor to tell us Three specifically, that “there are other instructors who are probably more our pace and style” You were rude and made us feel really Unconfident When we were Just trying to have a fun night working out and dancing You should reconsider your Job. Don’t work with people you’re suppose to motivate if you want to pick who’s in your class. Definitely won’t be back in that class.

They stopped providing hair dryers for the ladies dressing room b/c people keep stealing them. sad, but why not install hardwired in like in hotels?

Been coming here for a year and a half and really cant complain much. Front desk staff could be friendlier, yes (there a few exceptions) and clean-up during peak times could be a little more thorough but the facility itself is maintained well, the bathrooms and showers are clean and never crowded, and Ive only ever seen two ellipticals out of service the entire time Ive been a member and I go between two and four times a week.

During the past few weeks this facility has turned into a ridiculous environment. The manager began to lock certain equipments, such as, kettlebells, and dumbbells, just because some people would not put them back into place. I understand the frustration to have to carry weights around back to their specific spot, because I (as a client) had to do it before, but I dont have a problem with that, Im there to work out anyways. Now, seeing the equipment I pay to have access to being locked in a box is ridiculous, it gets even worse when asking the employees to give me access to it, they simply say they havent got access to the combination... Comedy show.

Called today to get the cycle schedule and was hung up on. I called back and the person who stated that they were the manager said he did not hear me talking. So I said then you need to give me an apology. I then ask who was the general manager. He stated that he do not have a gm at this time and then he tells me that he is the GM. I pray not with the rudeness he gave. I can see why this location have a 3.5, they are rude.

Great gym to workout at but my lock was cut and my wallet was stolen out of my locker along with the guys locker next to mine. Turns out that it’s a known fact that la fitness gyms are systematically being broken into all over the place because they don’t have security cameras, and they give out 14 day free passes like candy. I blame la fitness for not caring about their customers enough to find a solution. The wade green la fitness was robbed a few hours before town lake was hit and no measures were taken to prevent it from happening at this location.

Nice equipment as you would expect. But try to avoid peak hours unless you plan to wait for a machine or bench. Especially if you do chest in Mondays.

Roswell location is great. Alot of fans and air movement. Hardly ever a time you have to wait for a specific machine. Staff are friendly and professional. Trainers arent just there to train, theyre there to make relationships with their clients.

This is a beautiful facility. Its has everything. The only thing missing is a smoothy bar.

LA Fitness as a whole is a nice, super spacious gym chain. Tons of equipment, and lots of space so you dont feel like youre right up under one another. The TowneLake location used to be fabulous, with such a friendly and welcoming staff. I have been a member for almost 10 years. But over the last couple of years, things have changed SO much. The staff is so snotty and rude... even checking you in feels like a chore for them. I cant wait for One Life to open this year, so i can be done with LA.

The gym is wonderful however the staff could really use a lesson in customer service. They are very disrespectful and one employee makes me so uncomfortable because he stares so hard that I dont even want to make eye contact with him

I hate this gym. Raped me on personal trainer sessions. Those cost me over $5k with very misleading sales tactics. Tried to give them to sister in law and they would not let her use them. Imagine paying $800/mo and then cannot even do what you want with them. The higher ups are even worse. I highly recommend checking out Orange Theory instead. Stay away from this place and not just this one, ALL OF THEM.

It has everything you need. All amenities are decent. I cant complain.

I just got a membership, Love the gym, saw other people cancelling today, staff was nice and helpful, I have been here before about a year ago as a guest (with a friend every week) and the place is even better now, they have boxing bags, a pool, locker room (with showers), basketball court, and even a child care center for parents who have kids so they can work out while their kids play. All in all would suggest going here

This place is typical of gyms = practically impossible to cancel. The Manager, Matt, has a serious attitude problem and couldnt care less about the customer experience. Theyre continuing to charge us after we cancelled. Charges are being disputed at my bank - definitely wont be getting any more business from us.

I signed my daughter up for a membership for her sixteenth birthday and signed up for sessions with a Personal Certified Trainer. The Trainer would either cancel, not respond to her request for sessions or not show up all together. Eventually the Trainer quit. The sessions were still being deducted from my account and piling up. I reached to get a resolve, get her reassigned and now I;m told that they have no Certified Personal Trainer, only a Master Trainer and I have to pay more fees in order for her to work with her/him. This has been a complete mess!!! Every solution I was offered has been one that results in ME spending more money. So you are asking me to invest more money and I have not even gotten the service Im paying for??? I would say DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. It is obvious they do not care about their client, its about how they can get more money.

This place has a variety of gym equipments. Most of the staff are friendly. I use the lap pool a lot and it is clean. Chlorine level are checked routinely and I go in the middle of the day and it is usually not busy

Managers are horrible they talk to you like youre a nobody and continue to charge you when you cancel your membership! When I went to cancel my membership they made me wait so they can charge me for another month it is awful specially the short ugly one with glasses that sits in the back they seriously need to recycle their staff and get more respectful staff that will treat the customer with some respect and be helpful bc they are useless and be careful about your money they charge you for anything and theyre thieves

Outdated, disgusting, and often broken equipment, front desk is always being hit on by some douche, 1 out of the 4 water fountains actually give cool water, and the sales staff are some of the least motivated looking bunch I have ever seen in a gym. If it wasnt for this gym being a short drive from my house Id gladly leave, but LA Fitness understands they have the widest selection of equipment in the area (whether its working or not) so why compete right? Hopefully Lifetime decides to open a gym closer to Towne Lake or even Acworth area so the management at this gym can see what it feels like to actually compete for business instead of getting away with sub par equipment and cleanliness. $60 a month for a membership at Lifetime is more than a bargain compared to $34 a month here. If you can make the extra drive to a better gym or even a better run LA Fitness, I would strongly encourage it. Cheers!

Only go early morning on weekdays, the lady at the counter is very friendly. Other than that, the receptionists are lazy & rude. Nice gym with good freeweight equipment tho!

Was nice when it opened, but the owner has made little investment in keeping it up. All the machines are original and are starting to break and are not getting fixed/replaced despite me reporting them to the front desk. It took three tries to find a treadmill that worked yesterday. Compared to other LA Fitnesses that Ive visited, this place is a dump. It needs an overhaul bad.

Ive always liked LA Fitness but when I moved to town and checked this location out, I was quickly turned off. Associated lacked the sincere service you get in most locations and the worst was the smell in the locker room. We will say it smelled unsanitary. Only visited 3 times on a guest pass but would not recommend based on these issues.

Many of the machines need maintenance. A great workout can be had, but you need to be creative.

I joined several years ago and enjoyed it. Quit going about 2 years ago to go to a pricier group training gym. Wanted to have a place to go in between training sessions and decided to go back to LA Fitness because it is reasonably priced so joined again.First thing I noticed is that equipment wasnt fully functioning...fans broken on treadmill, etc. Also there wasnt anything to clean the machines with. If I go back I will be carrying sanitation wipes.However, the biggest turn off was the personal trainer. I decided to take them up on their offer of a free personal training session...naive me. I thought I was going to be taught how to use equipment etc but instead I was the victim of a ridiculous fitness test designed to tear you down and make you feel inadequate physically. It was all part of a high pressure sales tactic. They had me do a 3 minute step up test but it wasnt step up, it was static jumps on to a bench then compared the results to a national step up chart. They are NOT the same thing. Then they had me do several other tests and compare me to some ficticious national chart and of course I was at the bottom at almost everything. I am NOT in bad shape. I work out more than any 55 year old women I know and do hard core workouts at the other gym. So I went home and compared my results to the real national averages according to LiveStrong and found i was in the top 10-25%, not the bottom 25%.The high pressure, tear you down selling technique was a real turn off. I was pressured by their trainer for 2.5 hours. I have been in sales all my life and am very successful at it. High pressure isnt something that sits well with me. I dont even want to go back in there because it was so unpleasant.If you join, do not do the training session unless you have already determined you want a trainer and if you have, then just save yourself the beat down and just sign up and dont subject yourself to their ridiculous high pressure sales presentation.

Equipment needs to be better maintained two times out of 5, I was on a machine that didnt work properly.

My regular mor morning health club stop. Good value compared to other clubs in the area. I like that it has a pool.

I only go because I got a membership through the company I work for. Overcrowded, horrible customer service, and overpriced services.I would much rather go somewhere else, and even debating canceling my membership through work ($10 a month) to go back to bodyplex.

Be careful with Demetrius, over the phone he will tell you one thing, but when you are there, ready to sign up it will be a completely different story with higher price and hidden revolving additional fees.

Just your typical LA Fitness. It has two levels and three big group fitness rooms. If you are a powerlifter or actually squat to depth this LA fitness is not optimal as the rack safeties are way too high. I really like round plates though. Great for deadlifts. Good functioning cardio equipment too. Overall it is a very clean gym with the exception of water fountains, they have pink mold all over them and I have never seen anyone clean them. :(

Im from out of state and have worked out at LA FItness all over the country...Ive never been in one with ONE rope for all cable machines, ONE stack of medicine balls (missing 2 of the 5) and NO kettle bells...and a few fairly flat yoga balls...adequate cardio equipment, but really drops the ball on the other standard equipment that the rest of the exercise community uses...

Not as busy as most of the other LA Fitness in the area. Has alot of variety of machines, cables, and free weights with a very spacious floorplan.

The woodstock location has all the facilities you would need in a gym. The gym however is very neglected. The mens locker rooms are always moldy, shower soap receptackles are often empty or broken, concrete in pool and jacuzzi area is peeling but worst issue is with the Equipment; as old as the gym and outdated compared to other neighbouring LA Fitness locations. It takes a long time to fix broken stuff at this location.

I walked into LA Fitness to cancel my membership in September, and they continued to charge me for two months. When I called to get the matter resolved, no one could help me after 5pm so I called the next morning. The manager said he would not give me a refund. Why? Because theres no proof you cancelled your membership. How is that my problem? Why do I get charged an extra $60 for a gym I havent gone to in two months because your employees arent competent enough to know how to properly cancel a membership? Ridiculous. Will tell everyone I know NOT to go here.

Horrible Customer Service starting at their management level. Everything is a fee. Fee for this fee for that. Wouldnt even help a charity program in the area that was trying to teach special needs kids a few swimming lessons without charging each kid a $15 daily charge for usage.Canceled my membership on the spot.The manager Matt, had an attitude and completely withdrawn and uncaring. Needs to have a lesson in customer service. He really does not like his job.
