This may be the worst company I have ever dealt with. My HOA contracted for a once a year bulk pickup. Have had my items curbside for 2 days. No pickup. They will not respond to the HOA - many of my neighbors are in the same boat. I will be pushing my neighbors and HOA for a new company to work with.
Weekly trash pickup is not reliable. They miss pickups frequently. Calling to report a missed pickup is difficult due to 20+ min hold times. When reporting missed pickup, they reschedule a pick up but then never show. Their excuse is always the same “dispatch moved the missed pickup day.” WM bought the last two companies we had been using, immediately raised the fee, then dropped the level /reliability of service. Customer service people are polite and try to help resolve the issue, but seem to be unable to effect any sort of resolution. If you have a choice stay away from WM for your weekly trash service.
I have scheduled for couches to be picked up for a month. I have had an appointment scheduled 6 times. WM never shows up. One scheduled time they marked the job as completed even though WM never showed up. I had to start the process all over again and create a new ticket. I was put on hold for 2 hours while WM scheduled a pickup. They never came back. This company is extremely frustrating to deal with.
I am 37 years old and this is by far the worst trash service I have ever experienced. They show up late or not all consistently and when they do take the trash, they always leave trash left in bin. They missed my trash the last three out of four weeks and I called to make a third complaint. The assured me they would be by that day or the next day as latest to get the trash. I am now on hold four the fourth time because surprise, they didnt show up. Worst Service Ever, they are scammers and a fraudulent trash service! Stay away if you can, they are simply the worst!
Great brand and corporate initiatives...but you gotta pickup the trash if you want a good review. Ive never had a trash company that just didnt pickup my trash. Upon returning from vacation last weekend, our trash was still full. I called and requested service and was told IF they came back to pickup the trash that they missed, that it would be 48-72 hours later. Thats when the next trash pickup is, so that doesnt satisfy me at all. I pay the bill, you take the trash. Simple concept.
As a new customer WM did not pick up our trash for three weeks. I called 4 times and was promised each time they would come out the next day. They didnt show up for 3 weeks. The trash was finally picked up last week, but the recycling has been at the curb for 4 weeks and has still not been taken. I also called about recycling 4 times and they promised to pick it up...it still sits there. I would give them zero starts if I could.
Trash is literally piling up at my house because Waste Management still hasn’t delivered my trash or recycling. They have a monopoly in my area, since recently buying out their competition. Terrible service, they do not value their customers, writing to my HOA to discuss at our next meeting moving to a private service company because of Waste Management’s incompetence of simply delivering a trash and recycling bin when they promised.
WM has removed my small recycle bin without notice at least six times. I called customer service each time. The last time I called, CS told me we can’t use them anymore. Living in a townhouse community, we have a very small 1 car garage. I am 1 person who pays for weekly service. I use my own garbage container because it fits in my garage and I had to stop recycling. I only put my trash out 2 times a month. Every week, when I walk my dog in the neighborhood on collection day, I see trash in the streets. I hate that they have a monopoly in my area, and I believe from the owner, all the way down to most of the lowest paid employees, they just don’t care. I’ve been thinking about cancelling my pick up and taking my trash to a dumpster myself.

I upgraded the review (to a generous) 4 stars mainly because of the way corporate handled this and how quickly they jumped on it. Sad corporate had to get involved as the local office wont help and dialing their 1-800 line goes nowhere. I came here looking for a local number for residential trash pickup and it always routed through the mainline. Weve only had the service for 2.5 months now and they have missed MORE pickups than actually performing pickups as supposed to. This is truly a shame and makes WM look like a company that does not care. This local branch is an absolutely abysmal representation of the corporate office; if you are reading this something needs to change with the residential pickup. Most of the negative reviews here are around this issue so I hope something happens soon else we will have no problem paying MORE for a different reliable service. WM is truly a joke.... a sad joke. I thought I was actually going to see a decent rating and good reviews and came to the conclusion I am not the only one. I wonder how this branch is still open.
Weekly residential waste removal is a necessity. But, this company doesnt seem to be able to stand by their scheduled pickup day. They dont react promptly when I call to report the skipped pickup. This means trash I set out on Sunday night for a Monday pickup stays at the curb until Wednesday. Its not making me or my neighbors happy. The feral cats and other critters do seem to appreciate having extra time to rummage through my trash bags, though. So, theres that.
Waste Management has purchased the last two companies I have used for household trash service. On both occasions the service went from great to horrible in the first couple of weeks. I have been on hold for over an hour and twenty minute (no lie) trying to cancel this service.The absolute worst customer service imaginable. Why would they care when they have bought all the competition.
This is the second time that they come to my neighborhood and totally forget to pick up the trash. so I need to call back them and be on the customer service line for few minutes and explain the story, then they come and pick it up.
Customer Service is not responsive to any inquiries about service problems. My residential pickup was scheduled for 6/24/2021. No pickup. 6/25/2021 No pickup. I sent an email on 6/25/2021, no response. On 6/26/2021 a general email to all customers in my area that pickup would be 6/26/2021, 6/26/2021 came and went, no pickup. Sent an email on 6/28/2021 after holding on the phone for 38 minutes to no avail and no response to email. No pickup. 6/29/2021 no pickup. 6/30/2021 still no response from WM. What gives!
I cant believe this company is publicly traded. There is no management whatsoever. They just take 2 weeks off from picking up your garbage and offer nothing. Completely incompetent CEO level down. Hope you go out of business.
At my service location my trash pickup is never consistent. I can never count on the day, much less the TIME, of pickup. Almost EVERY time either my trash or my recycling bin(s) sit out on the street for 48 hours or more. Sometimes they never come and I have to drag the full cans back into the garage and wait a week for the next pick up. I would NOT recommend this company.

We are moving. I tried to cancel my service. I called and the phone prompts do not work. Apparently, you can’t cancelService online only by phone. I tried by message and the chat room told me they would address my issue and have someone call me. This was a week ago. I still haven’t heard from anyone. Can someone call me????
If they only answered emails/phone calls or actually picked up the trash as fast as they leave their stock google replies...Former Advanced Disposal customer. 3 missed pickups and 3 weeks of trash piling up. Multiple 40 minute hold times to reach customer service.. Useless virtual chat. Customer service if you reach them, are friendly and apologetic, but might as well just promise you a trip to the moon, as nothing they put as priority ever happens or gets resolved. . Today was transferred to Priority care and then promptly hung up on without a call back. Pathetic!!!
I have called several times and they say each time they will pick the recycling up next week. Well next week has not happened and now the can is full. They will not honor the service I paid for and I do not recommend using waste management!!!! Very poor service!
Used them for trash service. Constant rate hikes; charge late fees even though the bill has NO due date shown; and now say that theyll begin charging $75 for cart removal fee when you cancel your service if not canceled by 10/31/21. Canceling when the end of the stmt paid thru date comes, since they dont bother to refund or prorate your service when youve already paid. WIth Covid affecting my household income, I have no desire to use a money hungry corporation like WM that is clearly NOT impacted by Covid, and has no concern or thought for what customers are going thru right now. They are the only household utility/service that continues to charge late fees! Ive been the last home on a 26 house street to switch my trash service from WM, but Im doing it now! Good riddance!!
Waste Management (Woodstock Ga.) has FAILED on providing me the service they promise to provide on several occasion. FAILED FAILED FAILED!! This company do not pick up trash on the schedule day(s) nor do the pick up after you call them and discuss an alternate pick up day In my opinion this is not be truthful to your customer. Customers are paying for a service that is not being provided there is no excuse for service like this. Im canceling my service. I also have Cycle Works trash service they pick up on time every week.
You simply cant get ahold of customer service. Truly no one is available, any time of the day.Order new containers for my new house, but still waiting... I heard they are bad but didnt realize they are awful.

We were informed that our apartment community would not get trash picked up for another month due to a driver shortage at Waste Management and their inability to get someone out here. This is very very unacceptable. Thats 300 homes without trash service for a month!
The drivers will not pick up my recycling even though I pay for the service. They are often late for regular garbage collection and sometimes dont show up at all. Customer service is not responsive and dont seem to care about solving my problem. I wound up canceling the recycling service altogether. I am not happy about this.
I’ve had waste management now for five months. I changed from my last trash service provider because I kept getting missed pick ups. With waste management I have had six missed pick ups in the five months since I’ve had them. I’m the very first home in my subdivision in the truck has to pass by my house three times before they leave the subdivision. When I try to call and put on a hold with an outrageous wait time. And then when I finally get to speak to somebody, They say it’ll be 24 hours before my trash will be picked up. I don’t understand what the problem is. Everyone else’s trash gets picked up, do I have to put my cans in the middle of the road for them to see it? I might have to go to another service provider. Waste management is terrible!
If I could leave no starts I would. Missed pickup 5 times in 3 months. Takes an hour to connect with someone. Then try to charge 75 dollars to come back even though they screwed up. This business should be shut down. Even stopped by the office and they couldnt care less.
They have not shown up at my house for the past 2 weeks even though I am paying them. My garbage is so full animals are starting to raid it and scatter debris over everyones lawn. I have been on the phone the last hour. This is my second call due to the receptionist claiming she couldnt hear me. After this call, I am calling the city to file a sanitation complaint.
Waste Management has turned into a dishonest unreliable company. I had them collecting my residential trash and recycling until August. They began to miss my pickups and I spent a lot of time on hold reporting and complaining about these missed pickups. Someone would even report the pickups were made even though they were not. I cancelled my service with them, received a $50 credit back to my card and then they sent me late invoices for the $50 they credited plus a $5 late fee. The last one threatened collections and an attorney. After reaching out through their chat, someone had to review my original phone call and then adjusted the refund amount so that now I supposedly owe about $8. This company sucks!

Literally the worst trash company I’ve ever been forced into dealing with. We had Advanced Disposal- and they were fabulous, then they were bought out by Waste and it has been the absolute worst. So incredibly unprofessional.
Customer service sucks. Our trash at a business has not been emptied in 2 weeks . We have called several times and they still have not came to empty our trash cans. I also just called again and was waiting to speak with the person over this and spent 30 mins on hold of my lunch hour and never got to talk to anyone else.
Waste Management is the worst service ever. Every time I ask for lawn bags to be picked up, they leave them on the curb. After 5 phone calls and numerous email with the company they claim theyre going to take them next week. Guess what, theyre still there. Absolutely useless, looking for a new service provider. The people that work there picking up the trash find every reason not to do their job. Garbage service. If I could rate them a fraction I would. Very disappointed.

We have called 3 times for pickup after they did not pick up for our regular service we still have no resolution. Our trash has been waiting for 5 days on the curb. Downtown Woodstock needs to reconsider their contract with Waste Management and allow a reputable company to service this area because Waste Management is not it!
Lack of pick-up on pick-up days, leaving the bin in the middle of the driveway after emptying it when they did come where no one could pull into the driveway without getting out to move the bin, not responsive with customer service inquiries, automated phone voicemail advised their hours were from 7:30-5 - called at 4:40 & the automated message said they were already closed. 30 min wait time if you ever have a question. In general, would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Good day.

I have called Waste Management 5 times in the last month and sat on hold for over an hour each time. I only actually talked to a representative TWO TIMES and my issue is still not resolved. I have no trash cans, service still has not been set up, and there is no end in sight. This is absolutely ridiculous.
All these bad reviews so felt I needed to offer my own experience. Just moved to Woodstock, had their service about 4 months now and Ive been very pleased. The two cans they delivered to me were clean, perfect working order, and I like how the recycle can has a different color lid so no confusion (for the 13 year old who walks in a fog) and they are always on time. Only once did some trash fall out and was left on the road but overall, theyve been spot on and billing has been as expected. Called with a question and the girl I spoke to was very professional and polite. I have had no negative experiences.
The Waste Management crews are outstanding! They always do a great job and rarely if ever leave anything behind. Always friendly and are careful as they drive through our residential neighborhood.
Had an issue early this year but they have finally got the schedule correct.Basically they didnt communicate the schedule change. My pick up day is Thursday for both recycle and trash and you are not getting the recycle until Friday. What is going on?

Horrible service...They missed our Trash Monday morning ( was out since Sunday night) and we called and they said they would pick up by Wednesday...Trash still sitting by the side of the road in downtown Woodstock. Unacceptable!!!!
We produce more recycling than trash so I think you should have a driver and container assist on your recycling trucks. SO MUCH material is wasted in your landfills when your trash trucks pick up the cardboard boxes, etc intended for the recycling. It’s drives me crazy!
The week of Christmas we watched the WM truck drive by our house, turn around in our cul de sac, a and the proceed to drive by with picking up our trash.After reaching out to customer service, we were told they would get someone out within 1-2 business days. Those days came and went with no trash pick up.The week of Christmas our trash was picked up but while collecting they broke off the wheel (which had been working 100% before they picked it up that day.) They even laid the wheel next to the barrel out of the street.When I called to say I was unhappy and was interesting in canceling, no one tried to make anything right. They just said, no problem your account is cancelled and it will be $75 for us to come collect the barrel. I have asked to speak with a manager and never received a call back. Definitely would not recommend, even if they were the cheapest option. You’ll get what you pay for.

I have been waiting for them to pick up a couch for 3 days. They had a fake excuse why they couldn’t do it the first day, marked it picked up the second day (when it wasn’t) and now I’m waiting again. The woman laughed on the phone when I said I needed it to be gone by today. Horrible service.

Horrible service. Would give a negative star if I could. Cans repeatedly left open each week even while raining. 99% of the time cans are left in the middle of the driveway so we have to get out and move them to get into the driveway. This has been reported over and over and nothing changes. Just cancelled my service. Oh yeah and they dont offer refunds in my area for the remining period I have already paid for. Going with a local company that appreciates the business.
We have had service for a month with them now and our street has already been skipped 2 times for the weekly pickup. When I call the service representative states that their system shows pickup happened, meaning someone marked the work done without picking up a single can on our street. Absolutely rediculous.Update - turns out our route had been tagged onto another drivers route which was pretty far from our street. This was why it was skipped often. The CS rep I spoke to the first time worked a couple weeks to get our street moved to a different driver on a different day and we have not had an issue since.

Can was not delivered. Even after the 15 business days. Called customer service to schedule, because of inconvenience, to pick up our trash. The truck never arrived to pick up on both the scheduled and second scheduled date.

Worst customer service experience!!!! Called for bulk item pickup a week in advance and was confirmed. The day before and the day of I called to confirm pickup would occur by 6PM on my normal trash pickup day. Was told it was confirmed.Waste Management never showed up.... Sent email later that night to [email protected] to express my dissatisfaction with service. I found out only later that the request was delayed but as a matter of policy some dispatcher updated the ticket but didnt call me (the customer).Called again the following day and escalated to a supervisor. I was told the pickup would happen that day.. I called in again and spoke with another person and this was confirmed. At 6:07 PM (remember that customer service shuts down at 5PM), I find out that the case was updated with another delay and no ETA and no phone call.. I sent another email to [email protected] (no response).So now it is Monday (4 days after the original scheduled pickup) with no pickup from Waste Management.
I do Not recommend waste management. The drivers are always picking up trash extremely late even at 7pm. They also on multiple occasions miss recycling pick up. The drivers that pick up our trash always liter trash everywhere and tip cans all over the place and even leave them in the middle of the road. We have also had an incident where they have physical thrown our trash can away and never bothered to notify us.
Do not use Waste Management of Woodstock. They do not honor the contract you pay for. They will not pick up the trash on your scheduled day for pick-up. Calling them does nothing as they also do not follow through with what they say theyre going to do on the phone. Trying to get a supervisor on the line is almost impossible and they also do not do what they say they will do. They say We dont know why your trash isnt being picked up which is inexcusable. DO NOT GET SERVICE WITH WASTE MANAGEMENT.
They did not pick up my trash on my regular day of Tuesday. I called first thing Wednesday and was told it would be picked up that day...nope. I call again on Thursday. Told the same thing. Nope. Call again on Friday. Same thing = no trash pick up. Trash has piled up...it’s Tuesday again...still no trash pick up! It should not take multiple attempts to have them do a service I am paying for!
The trucks always come when they are supposed to and I can only tell due to the lids of the canisters not being closed anymore. There is never any mess left behind.
I guess we should have checked the reviews before we hired them for service. We moved here from out of state and WM was the only option and always provided service. In the month weve been in our new home - WM 1. didnt deliver the trash cans on time, and for the next 3 weeks has not picked up the trash on the scheduled day. Weve called and talked to ever level of management and customer service. Last week they finally came on Tuesday in a trash truck. Today a man came in a pick up truck to get our trash. As you can imagine our trash if FULL and FULL of maggots - its summer. I actually feel bad for the guy that came to pick up the trash. This is honestly the most pathetic service Ive received from any business.
The rating says it all. Im sure like most people, one star rating was because it wont let you choose zero stars. We rented a house in Woodstock and the trash bins were already there so we just went with their service. They were fine for the most part. We let them know we were moving and the owner would go back to receiving the invoice. They picked up the bin and charged us almost $90!!!! We called and no one answered so I sent the bill back with a letter, they responded with a past due balance. Even if you have to pay a little more for service somewhere else, GO somewhere else!!
A did not pick up recycle for 10 months, despite paying for the service. Took 6 months to recieve credit. Missed pickup and I called in daily recently. Told they would be there same day, never came til next scheduled pick up. Handlers claimed trash wasnt at curb... Wasted many hours on phone with cs. Terrible company, really poor handling. CS was friendly each time, so points for that.
Terrible service. Trash collection is skipped for many weeks, currently skipped for 7 weeks straight. I have tried to cancel my service over the phone and on there website and they will not cancel. Billing is at random intervals and the price is wildly expensive and no warning before it changes. I have filled fraud reports with my bank to try and stop there auto pay draws from my bank account. I am going to have to get a new credit card number as they keep stealing money.
Its a shame that we dont have another choice for waste pickup in Woodstock. We moved into our new house in mid-May. Its now the beginning of August, and my garbage has yet to be picked up on my regular pick-up day. Every week, Ive been consigned to call about a missed pickup, with a promise from the company that it will be retrieved, only to discover that once again my day has been missed. Week after week I continue to call. The request has been escalated, Ive spoken to managers, Ive emailed, Ive given them verbal directions to my home--which is not hard to find, by the way. I can literally see Main Street from my front window. If you have a choice, choose another company. ANY other company.The owner responded to this post and asked me to send a copy of it to Waste Management customer service. My full name is on this post. After multiple calls to the office, I do feel like its now WMs responsibility to reach out to me. Ive done everything I can do. And Id also like to note that as Im writing this, ON A FRIDAY (my assigned pickup day), again my trash has not been collected. I guess Ill have to call anyway...otherwise Im in for (yet) another weekend of rotting garbage. When will this ever end?Update 8/8/2020--So yes, I called on Friday and was assured that if someone didnt retrieve the trash that afternoon, then the company would send someone out for a special pickup on Saturday. No one came. On Friday or on Saturday. On Monday, 8/10, I again called the office. By the end of the day, the trash was picked up BUT NOT THE RECYCLING. Ill update this again if I am missed yet again on this weeks trash day.Update 8/24/2020--Missed again the week of 8/14. Called about missed pickup. Trash was retrieved on Monday, 8/17. In an effort to be pro-active I called Waste Management on. Thursday, 8/20 to verify that the trash AND the recycling would both be picked up on 8/21. The agent assured me that the work order was submitted. The trash was picked up. The recycling was once again MISSED. Furthermore, I have no confidence that a truck would have visited my house at all, were it not for my phone call on Thursday.Truly, I am dumbfounded. How is it possible that a company can have a monopoly on an area and be THIS BAD at their job? I just want my trash picked up. I should not have to call EVERY.SINGLE.WEEK. to ensure that its done. And besides, even when I do call, theres only a 50/50 chance that the garbage will be picked up at all. I have NEVER had my recycling collected.(I am going to copy and paste this message and send it to WMCARES per the request of the owner three weeks ago.) If this problem isnt solved this week, I will be requesting an in-person meeting with management.
WM routinely misses our trash/recycle pick up and when we call they supposedly put in a pick up order but it never happens. We will be leaving WM soon. Very disappointed in the lack of services!
Your garbage men that pick my garbage up every week have completely destroyed my garbage can. This actually happened months ago with the top of the can. They continue to throw it around and not empty it complete or pick up my boxes. Its incredibly disrespectful and Im switching services. Ive been paying MORE to go with a name I thought I should trust but Im over the hype.
If you call these people you will be on hold more than 30 mins after sitting on hold 30 mins the customer service Rep named “Shandra “. Was so rude and actually yelled at me when I ask to speak to her manager she hung up on me..... literally the rudest person I have ever spoke too. This “Shandra lady should be fired I have never been spoke to so bad by a company I am in shock by how rude this lady was and it’s a damn shame it takes a 30+ min hold time to get someone on the phone.
They sent out a letter that said recycling would be picked up every other week. They havent picked it up on time ever since they started this and Ive had to call every time just to get the recycling picked up. Last time I requested a supervisor call back that was 2 weeks ago. No one returned my call and the rep on the phone was very unprofessional. She left me on hold for a long time hoping I would hang up. The neighborhood looks trashy because of them. Ill have to call them for the 3rd or 4th time now.
Great trash disposal and recycling service. Customer service is efficient and professional. The trucks are always on time and have never damaged the bins on return. The price is definitely affordable. Great company.
This review is in regard to the truck drivers who are pulling out from the Waste Management location / yard in the morning.Quite frequently your drivers disregard cross traffic (and safety) and pull out in front of cars traveling down Main Street. Personally Ive had to slam on the brakes to avoid t-boning a WM truck on numerous occasions and have seen other instances happen to other cars. Its dangerous and completely disregards safety. It will be a question of when not if an accident occurs.
UNBELIEVABLY TERRIBLE!!! I have never had four different employees from the same company commit that something will happen and it didnt happen... until I encountered Waste Management.Trash was delayed a day because of Christmas and there was a little more than usual due to gifts. We had 5 bags of trash outside of the full trashcan. Waste Management picked up the 5 outside bags, but did not empty the trashcan.When my wife called to explain the situation, the rep she spoke with told her they will only pick up 8 total bags of trash, which includes the bags inside the trashcan. This is not Waste Managements policy as in have had the same issue with them before. They will pick up 8 bags outside of the trashcan and the full trashcan without additional charge.After my wife told me about her experience... I called, spoke with another representative, they confirmed the last representative was incorrect and assured me that the trash would be picked up the same day.A couple of hours later, the representative who made the false statement called my wife back, admitted her mistake to my wife and also assured the trash would be picked up the same day.The trash was not picked up the same day.My wife called the next morning and was told the ticket one of the previous reps created technically gave them an additional day to pick up the trash and assured it would be picked up.When 5pm rolled around and the trash had still not been picked up, I called and asked to speak with a manager. The manager stated they had until 7pm and assured me it was on the drivers route.The trash still has not been picked up a day later. Waste Management... you can go ahead and pick up your trash can next time you actually make it by our house.If you have another trash option than Waste Management, please save yourself the pain and go with the other provider.
Just had to write my THIRD email to support about a missed pickup. Both times I was promised pick up by 6pm the next day. Well, guess what? Still sitting at the curb. Really living up to your company mission statement of putting the customer at the center of everything you do and aspire to delight them every day.
It almost feels that they have a “hidden” introductory price. After talking to a few of my newly moved in neighbors, they started paying the same amount as I did 2 years ago. However, from 60-70$, the price slowly increased going up to 98$ plus for every 3 months (same service). 2018-2020. 2 cans (1 regular trash and 1 recycling bin). In less than 2 years, my bill nearly doubled. That’s way too much of a price increase. Will make a switch either to Bossman or Santek soon.
Faster, clean
I am in the Wyngate Towne Lake area and we have always had excellent service so my experience totally different. We have had the same 2 guys pick up our trash on Fox Glen Drive and they are awesome. Always smiling and conscientious. I have also had WM at another location and service was always great too. I don’t consider my bill high when I divide it by the number of times my garbage is collected each quarter.
Terrible service
I was just hung up on trying to set up new service! Claiming they couldnt hear me, I should have have considered the reviews. Not having any luck finding a trash service with a good rating in this area.
The worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They missed my trash pick up for two weeks. After my fourth call to customer service, the rep said they never pick up on the weekends & that since the other rep never logged my calls she called me a liar as well. After demanding a mgr, one called me back 6 hours later. Promised he would fix the situation. He did by coming to my house in a pick-up truck & hand loaded the bags into the bed. Kudos! I emailed corporate to say thanks & what a great job he did by fixing the situation.....only to find out that he then cancelled my service completely due to safety concerns for the driver on a busy road. Mind you, I’ve been a customer nearly 8 years @ the same house. Coincidence? Also, at least once a year I would have to email corporate to get trash picked up so not like this was the first time I’ve had a problem. Bright side, now I won’t have to pay for their stupid cancellation fees.
They’re ok but the trucks are the loudest of all the companies out here.
After 15 years of loyalty to this company, with two different house, the bill keeps increasing. I called to see if could match competitor that is in our neighborhood same time, same day every week and Waste Management would not. There is a $30 difference in the two services per quarter and the EXACT same service. Waste Management would not match or come close AND then when I cancelled they told me there is a $75 charge to pick up THEIR CANS! This is absolutely ridiculous. I was told it was for them to stay competitive. Competitive alright, pricing themselves right out of the market! Good Riddance!!!! And I bet you wont see a response to this review from them. They know how bad they are!!!

Just moved into a home and realized they skipped my trash (I let it go because obviously they couldn’t have known) so I Called and scheduled a pick up for myself, this was suppose to be on the day of or the next day... do you know it’s been 5 days since and now my trash is over-flowing???
GO ELSEWHERE! If youre like me, you recognize the franchise name Waste Management as being reputable from where you used to live. THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE. Waste Management Woodstock is a horribly run residential trash removal service.I submitted formal complaints each time my trash was missed. On the third time, I was given a service ticket number and written guarantee by their customer service representatives that my trash would be picked up by the end of business on a Friday. My normal pick-up was scheduled for Tuesdays. Youll never believe it, but they didnt pick up my trash as they had promised in writing they would! Worse off, when I wrote them back to request a cancellation of my service and site their default, the representative disputed my claim and said that the ticket had been fulfilled and my trash had been picked up as planned. This was incorrect! My trash sat out for more than 8 days before finally being picked up. The management and staff at this branch of Waste Management have no idea what they are doing. I recommend the city of Woodstock conduct a formal review of their relationship with this company and ending their franchise agreement with them due to the consistently poor and unsatisfactory service by this company on a wide spread basis.
The scheduled pickup for our neighborhood in Canton is Tues. Multiple neighbors have called all week to find out why they didnt pickup. I called twice on Friday and was lied to both times about not already receiving calls. The supervisor was incredibly rude and stated it would be the next Mon and there would be no credit given to anyone for their missed pickup.
Missed recycling for 3 weeks.Still have not replaced recycling bin after 3 weeks of emails. They broke it. Never get refund when ask for it when they miss pickup.We are seniors. They are rude to us. Hang up after we are call 31 and get to number 3 or so.Speed through the neighborhood.They should lose their license to operate in GA.
Went over a month without them picking up our trash or recycling. Finally spoke with a competent human on the phone who took the time to have a conversation and she informed me of the notes on our account (set up by a previous tenant).Now that they are actually providing their promised services, I come home to the cans turned over in the street and trash and/or recycling scattered throughout the street.If I failed to do my job at work, I wouldn’t have a job anymore. Pure laziness and nothing but aggravation from this company.Do your job.
Horrible unless you like inconvenience and wasting time/money! We have had them for 2 years and recently there have been several times in 2 months that I had to call because of missed pickups for either trash or recycle. This last time #4! (I know shame on you once, shame on me twice - I should have known!) I called over the weekend because the recycle was not picked up again last Monday and they said their driver noted there was no recycle bin out. We put them both out at the same time and its still sitting there! There is a constant falsifying of documentation by the drivers and from reading other reviews, this is normal (sad!). The rep over the weekend noted that they will be there this Monday for sure... Today is Tuesday - still sitting there!I called to cancel because I am not getting the service I am paying for - They are charging $75 to cancel a service that if they came and did their job I would NOT be cancelling! Oh and they will not refund the remainder of the quarter because there is a no refund policy because you are in contract for the duration of the timeframe. I asked the supervisor - that is great that I am in a contract but so are you to provide the services I am CONTRACTED for and should not have to call every other week to have my trash picked up - he did not seem to care and was less than empathetic. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY BEFORE YOU GO THROUGH THE SAME STRESS- Really? We now have to stress over garbage pickup?! Come on Waste Management - Get your stuff together!
Much more expensive and late then Cycle Works. Price starts low and creeps up.
Look elsewhere for service... With temps in the 90s, Im still waiting for pick up from a week ago. Daily promises, but nothing gets done. Dont do business with this company, since you cant contact anyone from the local office -- youll be directed to a call center in Illinois. If I could rate no stars, I would. Dont waste your time with this company.
Just switched from Santek to WM, because all my life in California we had WM and they were solid! Not so here in Woodstock. I ordered trash pick up, paid, in full for 3 months and they arent off to a very good start. Christmas week...no show. The next week, also a holiday, New Years week...no show. Pick up day is Thurs. I was told holidays run a day behind so I expected pick up on Fri. When I called they said they would be there Sat. Well that came and went, as did Sunday. I called Monday morning and they said it would be picked up by 7pm or....at the very latest noon on Tues. Its Wed. and no ones trash in my neighborhood has been picked up. Just called again and the nice lady on the phone has let me know it will be picked up on Thurs. as scheduled and she will give me a credit for last week (which I wont see until March when I sign up for another 3 months...NOT!) If they dont pick it up I will be cancelling and going with Cycle Works. Kinda wish I had done that anyways.
I have had there service for years, my whole neighborhood has we are in the city limits of Woodstock and it mandatory. I have never had a problem and I call every couple of months for large furniture items to be picked up and they do it and never complain and everything is gone.
