I worked out at Golds from Sept until they shutdown in March. They did nothing to my knowledge to fight to reopen like my other gym. Once the governor allowed them to reopen they mandated masks which was not recommended or enforced while working out. They billed me after the gym was closed in March and billed me for a yearly fee even though my account was frozen. They did not take care of me as a client. I decided to quit Golds and move on.

Awesome gym. Staff are helpful, facility is clean. No weird smells. Locker rooms are luxurious. Pool is always clean. Nothing bad here. Mackenzie Conrad was my guide and she was what won me over to this gym. She was a real person that took the time to get in detail what Im looking for and tailored what Golds could do for me. Go get some work done!

I have had my wallet and car keys stolen out of locker with a padlock on it on two separate occasions. Obviously, this is not the fault of Golds Gym and the staff handled the situation very professionally. However, on both occasions, the responding police officers informed the manager (in my presence) to install closed circuit television cameras. The one officer explained that, even just one at the front entrance would be a significant deterrent and improve the odds that the police would catch the culprit. That same officer explained to me that he has urged the manager to do this on a number of other occasions, without success. One final note, on both occasions, I was by no means the only this effected; the thief(s) broke into multiple lockers. On a different note, the Sunday morning lifeguard at the swimming pool spends the majority of his time sitting at a table, playing with his phone and listening to music with his headphone on. There is an elderly man with a pace maker who always swims at the same time that I do. Clearly, this man is at a reasonably high risk for a cardiac event. He could be laying on the bottom of the pool for 15 minutes before this lifeguard might happen to glance up from his game or movie (or whatever he finds so engaging on his phone). Because the lifeguard has headphones on, he wouldnt even hear sounds of struggle. Ive brought this concern up to the assistant manager at the front desk on more than one occasion and have been politely dismissed. She said that the lifeguard are not her department and that there was little she could do.Im not sure why management seems to lack concern for the basic safety and security of their customers.

Ill admit, my rating comes from about 5 minutes of experience with this gym, but thats about all the time I want to spend there. I went to go swim with a friend who is a member - but they wouldnt let her bring a guest without charging $11 for a day pass. So fine, I paid my $11 and signed the waiver, and headed to the pool. (No welcome, or heres the rules, or would you like a tour or nothing, by the way, just give us your money and good bye. Some service.) After getting changed in the locker room, I nearly slipped 3 times on the way to the pool because they chose to use slick tiles on the floors instead of something sensible, and Im incredibly lucky I didnt fall and hurt myself. (Hence their fees and waivers, Im sure.) When I got to the pool area, it was already 8pm but the pool was still packed with no place to swim, so I went back to the front desk and asked for a refund on my pass... which they couldnt give me. So enjoy your $11, Golds Gym, thats all youll ever be getting out of me. I was considering buying a membership (thus my reason for going as a guest) but this place is not worth a second chance. Ill find another place to do my water exercises.

Golds Gym is a TRAP!!! - they asked me why I want to cancel my renewal - cant cancel the actual contract...unless you die...or pretty close...heres my response: I recently experienced low levels of customer service - my calls werent returned numerous times, although promised otherwise at the gym level. But I will be done with Golds Gym as soon as my agreement expires, because your policies do not allow the flexibility my family and I need, and have received previously from other Gyms (LA Fitness, for example). Through my recent experience I have come to realize that your agreement is, for lack of a better description - a trap. It is ridiculous to be trapped in a fitness club/gym agreement like that and not to be able to at least take one member off it (my wife in this case), because she changed jobs and her commute does not allow us to utilize your gym as well as in the first 3 months when we signed. A one time penalty of some sort is more acceptable than having absolutely no way out and having to pay money for nothing. The only way out seems to be complete relocation, physical damage like dismemberment of some kind (and proof from a doctor) or death. You know it, and you are guilty of it, otherwise you would have a decent customer service department and an easy way for a customer to reach that department for help - like a 1800 number on your website. Instead your reps at the Gym (Mark who signed me) are afraid to return customers calls. So it seems the scheme works well, once the customer is trapped in your agreement, Golds Gym hides behind a partnership with a collection agency/finance department and cares not a bit about customer service...sorry, but it must feel bad to work for such company. Please confirm my contract is cancelled and the exact date that will be effective - no renewal please!Thank you!

We really enjoy this gym! The equipment is in great condition. There are so many different spaces in the gym which helps me mix up my workouts. The kids club is really big & lots of activities. The classes & instructors are motivational and challenging. I am big fan of the cinema room too! I do agree with other reviews that the swimming pool tiles are super slippery & the womens lockers room could use an update.

Friendly, helpful staff who usually greet clients and wish them well. Trainers to suit different workout styles & goals, including dietary advice, regular weighing, the pinch test etc. The 25 meter pool, large hot-tub, & a fun childrens mini-pool with fountain, are appealing options, but could be better cleaned/maintained. Large, clean changing rooms, with many showers and lockers of different sizes are convenient.

One of the best Golds Gym around. Their sauna/steam room and pool are great, and they offer classes for the pool as well as a variety of workout classes. This place looks nice but I would stay clear! Been with them for over a year and at my year point they raised my fees by close to half of what I was originally paying and also did not tell me when I signed up that there is a random $60 dollar yearly fee. Customer service is awful, when you try and cancel the membership they will continue to charge you and also make you pay the yearly fee all over again even though you canceled a couple months prior. I tried to talk to the so call general manager and he just laughed and said that I dont know why we do it this way but there is nothing we can do about those charges. I would recommend going to 24 hour fitness down the road! No hassle with them and you know what you are paying for.

It’s getting a 2, still can’t swim during the week there after work, the people teaching swim class are always screaming. Pretty hard to zen out in sauna with a guy yelling the entire time. It’s a weekend gym only if you want to relax and swim. Ps women’s bathroom still doesn’t have an extractor. Bring your own bag for your wet swimming suit.

Incredible price / value. They have everything I could ever dream of using for a workout. Wide variety of classes. Nice big pool and the locker rooms are fine. Staff is always friendly and they have child care available. On the downside parking can be difficult and gym can congested at peak times. Equipment is spread across three floors in a difficult to grock fashion, so you must enjoy climbing stairs to workout here.

My biggest complaint is just the hours, and that the swimming pool is almost always booked for swim meets.Overall I like it; I like the steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi, I like the free classes, I like that is broken up into different levels and rooms so that not everything is in a big open warehouse, and they always have up-to-date machines. But the price is high, and I actually have had times I wanted to go, but they were closed.

Its a pretty good gym. Ive been going for over 6 months, now. I mostly use the free weights section, which is small but decent, considering the target audience is mainly tech company employees. They do have solid trainers, as well. Key critiques: The mens locker room smells all the time, there should be fewer cardio machines, more free weight equipment, and there absolutely needs to be platforms+bumper plates for Olympic lifting. Also, there needs to be better ventilation in the gym; there is rust on much of the equipment likely due to the pool... thats not a critique, but a sad-face seeing such nice, underused equipment get rusty.

I love Golds Gym Woodinville! And to think that I almost didnt go check it out after reading all the negative reviews on the internet... Well, Im so glad I did.I really like EVERYTHING about the gym so far. It is very clean, the cardio equipment is top notch, and the staff have always been super friendly, positive, and non-pushy (is that even a word?). I havent tried out any of the group fitness classes yet but from what I hear from the chatter in the changing rooms they seem to be great.I decided to work with a personal trainer and want to give a shout out to Alex Walker. He does an amazing job and I have improved greatly in a short period of time. It is challenging but a lot of fun at the same time. The pool and the steam room are two other things that I enjoy tremendously. So, if youre looking for a gym, give Golds Gym in Woodinville a try. Youll be glad you did.

This gym is great. I go in 5 or 6 times per week for weight training. The facilities are always top-notch, the equipment is generally clean, and the flow of fellow gym-goers is usually steady enough that it never feels packed. The trainers are nice enough (Ive gotten to know a few of them through conversation), and the assistance staff are pretty down to earth (never rude).A few years ago, Golds Gym Woodinville had very sub-par management which, paired with their once-ludicrous pricing schemes, forced me to reluctantly switch over to the 24-Hour Fitness Bothell temporarily (which I ended hating even more... but thats another story for another time). Fed up with both gyms & their managements, I returned from university this summer (2016) and decided to come back to Golds Gym Woodinville because I enjoyed the facilities so much, despite the terrible management & prices.Lo and behold, the old management was replaced by Darrel Stockett. Hesitant upon my enrollment to the club after my previous experiences, Darrel proved to be an outstanding person to work with. He is beyond friendly (in an industry where most managers can be very shady), and is always willing to work with prospective members by customizing a personalized membership plan that suits their needs. Darrel has revitalized my damaged trust in gym managers, and has made me feel proud to be a member of this club. I will most definitely not be switching to another gym anytime soon!

Very Poor Management! They treat the public very bad! I went here back in October 2018, and After being in there for half hour waiting to speak with someone, then 10 minutes with the managers, and they gave me an attitude both on the phone, and in person! While speaking with peoplepby the name of Ashley and head mgr Ryan in person, their attitude was pretty much, get the hell out of here! Yeah yeah whatever. Thats exactly how their tone was towards me.Overall, I can see why this gym doesnt have a lot of members (as I observed). Very unclean - went there and bathrooms were so unclean and not stocked), Terrible people skills/public relations, which results in not to getting everyone, especially customers (knowing customers are your profit) or people who apply for a position here, which can result in losing business, and no money going out of business like the other Golds gyms that went out of business! In conclusion, I myself would never recommend anyone to apply for either a position or a membership here.

Beware of their dubious schemes. I was not told about annual membership fees when I joined. After using the gym for few months, I cancelled my membership. They need 1 month notice so ended up paying for an extra month without using their services. Then the manager, Ryan Ching talked me into freezing the account for 3 months instead of cancelling. After a month of being in freeze, I emailed to cancel my account (almost 2 month before the freeze ends and account due for charge). I was surprised to see a charge even after my account was cancelled. I called Ryan Ching and left multiple voice messages. He never called back. I also sent emails and finally he responded to emails but was very rude and after a month of complaining has still not issued a refund.

I used to go here and it was an okay place to go. Since then some things have changed.1. The locker room is often soggy.2. They charge me an extra $6/visit on top of my membership dues so I can take my toddler to the tiny wading pool. Since hes so young I have to stay with him, so its not like were paying for someone else to watch him.3. They charge $15/visit for me to bring a guest.Ive been a Golds member for so many years but now Im regretting not getting a YMCA membership where theyre a little more family friendly.

After prepaying for the swimming lessons it took over 1.5 months and more than 10 calls/followups to even schedule lessons all the while we were wasting membership fees. Golds Gym Woodinville is terrible. Flat out terrible. It is not a very user friendly gym they have all of their machines and workout equipment jampacked in there. There is also no basketball courts, raquetball, or anything like that that you may have fun doing. Also trying to cancel your membership is impossible. i have now tried to cancel three times sending three different emails and calls and speaking to in person. They use a third party billing company and good luck getting ahold of them. My on hold time was 36 minutes. Golds Gym does not care at all about their customers and living situations changing. It wouldnt be too bad if they were all Golds gym but each golds gym belongs to different franchises so every single golds gym holds a different membership. I would never recommend this gym to anybody. LA Fitness is way better or any community gym. On top of that you cannot store your stuff in their lockers without being charged extra. They will cut your lock and donate your stuff. Definently the worst gym i have ever gone to. On a plus note the customer service of their staff is descent but Golds gym buisness sucks. DO NOT JOIN.
