I have been working out here ever since I was 16 years old, and I never had one problem with this place. I grew relationships with staff as they were here and my life changed personally because of them. The staff there are amazing group of people who greet you with a smile!Cassie and Ray especially are two whome I known for a long time as friends and as a member there. They are excellent people who make me smile when I come in the gym and as I leave. Everyone here that works meant alot to me and they have made positive impacts on my life! This is why I still come here.The gym is also clean, the members are happy here! I love the gym and the staff. Good job guys! :)

Great Planet Fitness to workout at during the age of COVID. Everytime I have gone to workout, 1 or 2 staff members are cleaning the gym top to bottom. It doesnt matter of I am there at 6am or noon or even 10pm; the staff keeps the gym looking great.I have been a member at several other Planet Fitness in metro Detroit and this one stands out.

I feel safe in this gym, which says so much given the pandemic. It is clean and the ability to clean on your own is comforting. The crowd meter on the app is a great tool, as well.

I use Flat Rock community center to work out usually.I recently went to Fort Myers Florida for a wedding and googled gyms near by Planet Fitness popped up. A short 20 minutes.The Fort meyers staff was SUPER friendly and very informative. Loved the gym. Worked out for free for a week.Came back to Michigan and wanted to continue using that gym until I met the staff in Woodhaven. I have met 2 staff members. I used a free day pass to check out the gym. The guy that checked me in may have said 3 words to me. That was weird but whatever. I came in today to pay for the black card membership. She informed me that I could not use my debit card for the membership and I would need to bring routing numbers and bank account number. I said well I did not bring that could I have a day pass and I will bring that info tomorrow and pay for the year.She was rude. Would not work with me. Wanted $20 to work out for a hour. Asked if that would go toward the membership I will be purchasing tomorrow she said no.Soi will take my business elsewhere

I’m guessing the new black card guest thing is jk response to COVID tracing or it’s just from corporate trying to be more tech savvy. However that process of going with someone who has a black card. Having them download the app, having to do multiple steps to refer their guest, then the guest having to download the app and doMultiple steps, then the guest needing to have a picture taken. How do you expect a boomer to do this without raging? I know it’s most likely not this locations fault and it’s a corporate thing but they should pass on the message to corporate to simplify the process. I miss the old way where all I had to do was give my phone number and that was it, way simpler.

I got all kinds of gains from coming here. (they also have the breakfast)

The temperature is never right. Always too warm. Wearing mask while working out is just ridiculous!!! I know there just doing what they were told but it makes me want to not even go.

This location has so many old machines. Machines frequently breaking down with lengthy repair times. Very few stair climbers. I have been there since they reopened after being shut down for COVID and I notice they have two stair climbers right next to each other and rather than moving one away from the other they just block one for use.Rules change with no communication. Their lack of flexibility really makes me want to find a different gym. :(

The staff is kind and friendly. The place is really large and they keep it clean. I like it that they have a large variety of equipment and at least 2 of each. I know you cant expect much when you pay only 10 dollars a month but it would be good if there was someone on the floor guiding people on how to perform exercises correctly.

This is a great Planet Fitness location. No two are alike and this one, hands down, is one of the best youll ever visit. Its clean, staff are friendly and there are tons and tons of equipment in here. Much more than most.Enjoyed visiting here while in the area on work, and will make a point about stopping in again whenever Im around.

Management is awesome, the gym is kept very clean. I did recently cancel my membership for personal reasons, but management was able to make an exception on their rule of the annual fee by waiving it for me. I was grateful that they were willing to listen and provide great service even though I was no longer a member. I would still recommend 100% for anybody looking for a gym to come here. This is the most well kept Planet Fitness in the downriver area in my opinion.

I work out here with my girlfriend several times a week and the staff is pretty friendly and the area is clean. They have a lot of different services you can use as well with a black pass card, including discounts at some local businesses. Also allows you to bring a guest to work out with you.

Great perks with the black card membership. Trainers are very helpful. Very clean. They offer a ton of classes. The hydro massage is amazing. I also love the total body enhancement. Tanning beds are well kept and the room is maintained at a good temperature. Friendly staff. Lots of choices on equipment, with instructions on most machines.

It really is a judgment free zone! It is very organized equipment wise, there is a ton of machines, nice staff! I always get a good vibe going there! The locker rooms are sanitary just like all the machines and free weights. There are a lot of lockers and stalls. There is also a GNC right next door!

Good very nice friendly staff. More equipment then what Fitness USA used have. No one is having to stand in line to wait for a machine or be threatened by some if you was on a machine more then 5 or 10 minutes

I come here every morning on the way to work. I wish they would take the time to train their employees how to clean properly. The bathrooms and showers are usually dirty. It seems like every time they get someone that does a good job, they dont stay around long.The girls on the night shift were doing a great job, but then they hired a new guy and the cleaning went downhill. The showers are back to having black mold in the corners. That seems to be the norm for this place.

Decent gym, has good amenities for what you pay for. I like it because its big and it has a lot if room, Im a wheelchair user so its great for me. Its wheelchair friendly in that sense but there are no machines or equipment for people in wheelchairs. I just make it work also having a partner helps

Dont have a a banking error with the planet fitness in Woodhaven MI!!! I was over charged on my bank account and talked to the manager on the phone and was told that there was only one charge and to bring in a bank statement. When I came in the next day to prove my charges she called in sick and the staff looked up my account and seen the over charge (manager straight me lied) gave me the number to billing which just redirected me back to the gym to talk to management again??? EXTRA money is taken out of my account and Im getting the run around and lied too??? Im DEFINITELY going to cancel my membership!!!! After I get my money back!!!!!

Fast check in! Clean locker rooms ! Clean Amenities! Everytime I come in it’s a staff member out cleaning, wiping things down, refilling sanitizer. I appreciate that as it’s flu season and I don’t want it . No issues

Quite large and lots of equipment but the locker room needs cleaning and broken toilet, hand dryer and lockers fixed. My Pf in crossville TN is smaller but locker room very clean and the staff is amazing.

Ill just say I havent experienced any of the problems listed in other reviews. Place is perfectly clean, taken care of, and staff seems hardworking, welcoming and helpful. Wonderfully built facility with every detail you could want in a gym.

Brother Brother Brother. The equipment here is pretty solid for the price, but there were a few too many members checking out my equipment for comfort. Add in sales tactics last seen in a Cairo rug market (or a used Yugo dealer) and Planet Fitness drops to three stars. An inadequate ventilation system in the dumbbell area (I thought I was experiencing a Sarin gas attack) and two stars it is.

Great fitness center located in Woodhaven, MI.Michael, the trainer, is a fabulous instructor and makes the 360 half hour classes a great way to workout.Michael’s knowledge and dedication to each member really makes working out a very positive experience.Each 360 class is challenging and never boring.Michael makes sure each 360 class addresses the individual’s goals and abilities.I highly recommend this Planet Fitness due mainly to Michael’s professional approach to fitness and his extensive experience with training all levels of fitness.

The staff is always friendly and do their job. The place is always clean, friendly, and hour tick by without knowing it. The showers are usually being cleaned when I come in so I get a clean shower when I am done working out. I come after peak times so this might be different at 5pm.

Its probably just me, but its always cold in here. Breeze from the fans make cardio area chilly and never feels like heat is on in the locker room. Other than that its a great place. Just wish it were a tad warmer. Dont think they realize how chilly the fans make it

Wow. I visited this Pf location because I was in the area and the layout and classes are completely different from my home club. The staff was friendly. The womens bathroom is amazing. I look forward to visiting when I am in the area again and trying some.of the classes.

Absolutely ridiculous with their lame tanning rules. They have no authority to tell a person that it needs to be over a certain time until hey can tan again or that they need eye protection. Yeah someone could have it. Doesnt mean theyll use it. The repercussions is on the individual not the company. They need to quit trying to control people so much. I have never been to another tanning facility in my life with such ridiculous rules. They dont seem to enforce any other rules. Especially the clothing rules. Worst facility. Used to be much cleaner as well. So much dust and overflowing trash cans

Food is awful, the dumbells are unseasoned and taste of old sweat, the treadmills leave much to be desired, there are often old, naked bald men, who are only hairless on the top of their heads, nothing like the culinary experience that is Jees top 5, when Jee was a young girl her mother taught her all about cooking thai food and shes brought this divine experience to us humble fools of downriver, she is the new messiah and i dedicate my life to her food and her iced tea, all of my lifts are for Jee, she is the best restaurant owner in the world, if she asked id give her my first born child.

One of the larger planet fitness I seen. The employees were nice and helpful since I was visiting out of state was helpful. Went here several times and it was not to busy.

I am beyond disgusted with this place! I cancelled my membership by my 1 year deadline and they keep charging me. First, the twenty something girl I tried to cancel with the first time told me I could only cancel on the exact date of my one year end date. I knew she was wrong and insisted she double check. She insisted thst was right, rolled her eyes and acted as if I was an imbecile. The manager was not in. I went again a couple days later and signed a cancellation form with a different employee who seemed equally confused about the cancellation policy. She said she was newer and had to get someone to help her. She said, Youre all set. And when I asked her for my copy of the paperwork she said she needed the copy I signed. I told her I wanted a copy and she got flustered and said it would be emailed to me. It never was. I called after a couple days to be sure my membership had been cancelled because they never sent me a copy and because both employees I dealt with seemed completely incompetent. They assured me that my membership was cancelled. I JUST GOT CHARGED AGAIN! I will be in on Tuesday and I will be getting my money back. I am waiting to hear back from the general manager, Anna. David said she would be in at 2 p.m. today. I have already left three messages for her. Funny that every time I call there isnt a manager in and they never call back. I have a feeling she will today. Its time to flag my account.

For 7yrs Ive been a member with Planet Fitness & management showed their lack of care with a customers concerns about what the rules & regulations are. For 7 years of carrying a light flat Nike bag on my back that holds my personal property & other needs for my workout...never has anyone had an issue with me carrying my bag around on my back during my workouts. On July 12th just after 12am (midnight) I was approached by a front desk worker who tells me I cant have my bag. (Does it cause a distraction? No! Does it ever get in the way of there peoples workout? No! Is it a safety hazard? No!) To avoid conflict I leave as requested. I go into the location later in the day to speak with someone about their rules & nobody seemed to be able to provide me that information. (Manager) Josh had no answer for why his employee asked me to leave besides a bunch of ummms. The other manager Anna gave me an attitude with body language and showed poor customer service. How is a customer suppose to follow your rules if You cant present what your rules are??? I plan to take my complaint to the highest authority & a 3rd party official involving the matter.(note: If Planet Fitness cant insure my property nor take responsibility for theft or vandalism then I will not leave my property unattended under the care of their lockers)

Apparently its ok for their team member to throw their hands up and yell at customers. Never going here again. Terrible franchise. Terrible staff. Full of lazy ppl sitting on machines keeping them from being used by ppl actually trying to better themselves.

After nearly two years of being a black member (20$ a month) and utilizing the services afforded with it, I had decided my use of the extra services simply wasnt worth the price any more as I rarely did anything other than the regular gym activities. So I am well beyond the year contract, and upon requesting to down grade to a regular membership I am informed that I will have to pay 39.99$ to change my membership. To me this is punishment, gouging, and outright ludicrous, to do to someone unless they are still within their contractual window of obligation to pay the set fee they agreed too. Even when informed that this price may change tomorrow June 5th of 2017, I have a feeling it either wont change or there will still be a fee. If however that does change, I will remove my review. Now Im curious if there is a fee for canceling a membership all together even after the contracts obligation....

So far so good. Not too busy and if it happens to be, there are multiples of many machines.
