Went for a water aerobics class. Great instructor. Had a good workout. I will be going there from now on. Do not like evening classes. This place has morning classes. Yea me.

The facility needs major adjustments in the child watch area. I am considering canceling my membership over the apparent lack of attention child watch receives. There are no cameras to watch the children and workers. One worker is expected to oversee 10 kids at once that are various stages of development (newborns, babies, toddlers, and kids). There are no toys, just things to climb on. The infant area is smashed behind the counter. The YMCA child watch center blows this one out of the park and I’m beginning to think is worth the extra money over the sake of my kids being watched effectively. Even the child watch workers here talk about how it’s stressful and they underpaid. I complained to the front desk that there should be a minimum of 2 workers and all I was told is that front desk can help if need be, but the child watch worker implied that doesn’t really happen.

Great gym with huge range of free weights, machine and cable and other amenities

The Woodhaven location is far cleaner than the Plymouth location. Also, the employees show up on time to ensure the building is open at 5 am.

Been going here for quite some time now. Staff is very friendly, machinery/weights maintained pretty well, and the revive juice bar has awesome smoothies. Just beware the lock rooms will give you PTSD, old men have no shame.

Staff is so worried about masks that they forget to keep the gym well kept, trash in front of business to equipment thats been broken and never fixed. bummer to see them going out of business.

Decent equipment, great classes and cycling, good hours, decent showers, nice pool and friendly staff...on the flip side they could use hair dryers, its too hot for me, they need better air conditioning/circulation...it smells and they really dont have an area available for after workout stretching.

The Woodhaven La Fitness is the second cleanest location in the State of Michigan only trailing behind its nearby location in Plymouth. The staff is professional, friendly, and courteous maintaining a very clean and professional atmosphere.

I have been a member for four years and loved it. Told people to go there. Well that all changed today when my son and husband were interested in joining so we all 3 went up there today and they would not give my husband and son a free pass for the day to see if they enjoyed it. They told them they each could pay $15 to use the gym for the day. Are you serious??? I have gotten my friend a free pass for the day. Both my neighbors have had free passes. My one neighbor had a free pass for two weeks. I’m wondering is it because of them being males and not females so that’s why they wouldnt give them one. None the less I’m taking my business else where. In fact we went to planet and talked to them and it’ll be way cheaper and basically the same stuff they will need. Thanks for lowering my monthly gym membership La!!!!!

Very dirty. Carpet is stinky machines are old and unkept.

Building is clean for the most part, showers need some cleaning. When you ask for something things get done but something as simple as routine cleaning should be done without a prompt. Need spin-dry machines for bathing suit after pool use. The staff are very friendly and most helpful. Classes are included in the membership and personal trainers are also available for an additional fee. Membership fees are very reasonable, especially if you catch one of the deals they randomly have in club😉 I definitely recommend this club if you live close by. Ask for Brendan when you sign up.

I love this gym. I used to have a membership near my previous condo residents in Woodhaven off of West & Hall Rd. I love the fact that they have plenty of machines and equipment available all of the time. I also like they have a full basketball court, pool, hot tub, sauna and racket ball. The staff of always nice and friendly. And the protein smoothies for pre work out or after work out are great as well.

Its priced higher than others because of the amenities like pool, hot tub, racquetball courts, basketball courts, spinning room and child care. The TVs are built into the machines but often dont work well or struggle to get a signal. Headphone ports on many of the machines dont work. The carpeted floors hold odors so it always smells like a mens locker room.

This place would be great if they would clean it better in the locker area and showers. Would like to see them watch over the pool area better. Groups of men hang out there from 4 pm until whenever so you cant get into the hot tub. Strange men in pool area.

Love this place. It looks big and Colosseum like. But it has lots of space, is very clean, good lighting and tons of amenities. I do not usually have to wait for equipment or machines.

I really didnt enjoy my membership at this location. I would hope other locations are better. Here, they are not friendly and are very unhelpful. After they get your money, they could care less about the services. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I left and joined Planet Fitness. Much better atmosphere.

Casual atmosphere... Lots of equipment and cardio, no strict dress code, and never have felt uncomfortable...I came from planet fitness, and this is a better fit for me.

Though the place does have a lot of equipment and amenities, I was visiting for the day just to see how I liked it. The trial days cost was an outrageous $30, and the front desk associate that was helping us took a very long time because he was too busy having to scan members in, all while a lady was at her desk litterally twirling her hair and wasnt at all helpful or engaging customers. Customer service was terrible.

Very busy at 5pm. Place was clean. Staff was nice. I dont like the sales pressure from the staff asking if I know others that would like to join.

I would give them no stars if possible. We went in to check out the facilities and the salesman was so incredibly pushy that he turn us off immediately. He would not provide the information we were looking for without joining.

The LA fitness in Woodhaven is your standard LA fitness the classes are taught very well and are at decent times where my wife and I can go to them. Luckily we have healthways which lets us join pretty much any gym For a low-cost and it came with our health insurance. So I would suggest if you like belonging to a ton of gyms look into this, since it is nice to go to any gym if you are running errands or traveling.

Clean & well maintained for the most part. They need a new music play list though and some of the members need to wear deodorant and wash their gym clothes for the sake of those around. Holy moly

The gym is a good gym if you can be here before 4pm till 9 or 10 PM. They dont have enough equipment for everyone whos here during peak hours. They also have a major problem being able to open on time its not uncommon for them to open a hour late especially on weekends

The facility is okay and has most of things you need. LA fitness is extremely expensive to join and to leave. You have to pay big penalty for leaving early for any reason. The staff will lie and say anything in the beginning to get you to sign. But if you want to end service they make you pay and pay big. Read the fine print. They will get you. Their personal training program is horrible and expensive. I dont like the way they talk about you behind your back. Think twice about joining LA Fitness. maybe gold Gym is better if you just want a simple work out.

He is very respectable, cares about the people who comes in, and has a good knowledge of fitness, when I came in he greeted me and my family with a smile, and made me and my family feel like a home away from home, showed us around the club which was great. Overall good Management, good people, I recommend Mario. hes great

They been dropping the ball 2nd time within the month on a Sunday gym was not open at 8 am. I left at 817 still no was there . Needless to say I have another gym membership at Anytime fitness so I went there. It’s smaller but at least I don’t have to wait in the Parking lot and wonder when the doors will be open.

The equipment they have is great however the equipment is starting to get dirty. You can see sweat marks on the machines, they should make sure their equipment is cleaned more often for this gym who tries to say its a very clean gym. The staff person, Sam is always so friendly and welcoming to members. As for some of the other staff, theyre not rude but theyre not sociable either. Also some of the male staff there try to hit on females and its very unprofessional along with wrong.

Customer service skills are terrible. If you dont have a membership they treat you like a step child. With a very nonchalant attitude towards the customer. They need more training on proper skills

Decent gym, has everything you could want in a convenient location. The place is clean. But it closes at 11pm where most other gyms in the area are 24 hr or close at 12. Opening hours is 5am now .It also costs $100 initiation and 29 a month which is way more than any other gym in the area.. its also super crowded after 5pm and alot of the older gym goers are super Rude.

Good selection of equipment, employee was rude. Front receptionist refused to let us work out without paying for a day pass because we allegedly didnt have a multi-club membership, which we in fact do, as we use multiple clubs frequently. Wasnt willing to help solve the problem, and instead told us to go to our home club to sort it out. Wont be using this location again.

I’ve been coming here for years and this is one of the biggest, well kept LAs in the country. I’ve been to dozens across the US. Some of the others I’ve been to have been dirty, weights everywhere, poor customer service, etc. This location has always been clean, the staff are professional, and there are plenty of weights and machines to choose from.

Ive had a membership here for close too 2 years, and i have to say this place use to be well maintained and now this place is absolutely filthy. You dont ever see anyone cleaning off the machines, you can see sweat marks on every piece of machine. They never clean out the cup holders which leaves pieces of gum and other nasty things. For as many people that go to this facility hire a 3rd party cleaning crew to come in twice a week.

Ive been going here for a couple of years and I love it. Its clean and the staff is friendly. Would recommend this gym. The gym includes a sauna, pool, hot tub, aerobics room (with classes such as zumba and yoga), racquetball courts, basketball court (volleyball on Wednesday nights), personal training, and cycling room.

The gym itself is nice but membership is oversubscribed. You can never use the equipment you want without having to wait forever.

I’m a big fan of la fitness and have been a member for over two years, but having a job and college on top of that makes it hard to find workout time, the gyms hours are honestly embarrassing, the gym should be 24 hours or at least open longer than 8 on a weekend, the hours honestly suck, especially when you can’t even workout in that 4-8pm span because it’s overcrowded, all in all need longer hours oh and a deadlift platform would be nice

Good gym and clean but is waayyy over crowded. They need to expand it by 60000 square feet to accommodate the amount of members they recruit. It doesnt help that if they get your phone number they will call you every day until you join or die.

Forget doing cardio for the first hour and a half of them opening in the morning during the winter months. The heat is on so hot and high that you can smell it and feel it blowing on your face! Its so hot it there that you feel like your suffocating while trying to workout! Horrible!

Very nice looking gym. Too many people just sitting on equipment and not enough bars for all the benches there are. It can be a pain getting to the gym during certain times due to traffic and constructions.

This was the best health club purchase I have ever made. No pressure tactics to join.Update. This was the worst purchase I ever made. Be prepared for a lot of bait and switch as well as shady contracts followed by outright lies. Keep notes of everything that happens because dealing with corporate is no better. They continued to hound me for money they said I owed them months after my membership ended.

They have been charging my credit card for 3 months now for my membership as well as another persons. I have called 3 times and still nobody will call me back or fix the issue. The management team said they would call me back a week ago and still no call and every time I call them they say a manager isnt in.

Gym is good for the most part, but is oversold. If you go at prime time during the week, it will be difficult to find a machine to use. Furthermore, most of the floor space in this gym is dedicated to things like racket ball, bikes, a pool, basketball court, and locker rooms...which is good if you like all that stuff, but I bought my memebership to workout. It would be nice if they had more workout machines since there is often not enough so you will find that you need to add 30+ minutes on to your workout. Machines that are broken down generally take a long time to fix (3+ weeks in many cases). Locker rooms are generally really clean which is nice and they do have a kids center which is nice if you have kids. All in all, if you are going to have no limit on how many people you sign up for your gym, you need to have enough floor space and equipment to accommodate those people.

The manager matt was very nice and helpful found the best deal for me. The facility was very clean the staff was helpful.

Woodhaven is newer and very clean. Great equipment. Staff are friendly. If you’re looking to join a gym, I would strongly recommend. Some the other locations are not as nice.

One of the nicest LA Fitness gyms Ive been to. Including the ones I used to go to in LA and Beverly Hills. Equipment is out of order from time to time but nothing that doesnt occur in the normal course of business.

This place used to get 4 stars from me but it is 3 stars and falling. This isnt a condemnation of the facility, I just think LA Fitness is dead set on ruining their company with their fast food approach (cooperate mindset to selling fitness.)They are overcrowding this gym as they do every other La Fitness in America. They are really lucky the people that attend this gym have etiquette for the most part compared to other La Fitness locations. Why do people take basketball so seriously?Unfortunately because of the monopolies of fitness this is the current and future culture of fitness in America. It makes me really sad as we are loosing our communities and individuality because this cooperate mindset.I know this is WAY to deep for a LA Fitness review but if you are a serious longtime gym goer you can relate.I dont like the staff. I am not greeted with any sort of welcome or even eye contact but they feel comfortable telling me to leave.La Fitness is garbageIT IS TOO HOT IN THERE! TURN ON THE DEHUMIDIFIERS!!!

They have all types of equipment youll need but have fun waiting in line for that machine since no matter what time i go its always packed. The sales representatives their never stop coming after you no matter how many times you tell them you dont want that upgraded membership and to put a few phone numbers down of people who would possibly join so they can call them 3 to 4 times a day receiving the same answer as ever time they call, no. Lastly the mens locker room is starting to look nasty since i think not a single locker has ever been cleaned more that a few times since they opened.

Went there today first thing in the morning and the locker rooms were completely filthy, weights were misplaced and a seat was even missing from a machine.I dont know what happens in the evenings there but they need to step up their game. Many members go out of their way to go to the Woodhaven location to avoid that mess that is common at the Allen park gym.

I have been a member since the doors have been open & have met many of my close friends from the gym. We motivate one another and are always looking for new ideas to switch up our work out. However once you start working out together they begin to harass you & claim one is coaching or training the other & then revoke your membership. Two close friends have recently had their membership revoked recently. When you try to talk to the staff for answers they claim to not know or are rude and arrogant. Multiple calls to cooperate & emails have all been un answered. Would never recommend this discriminating gym to anyone.
