I’m new to the state of Minnesota; I’m originally from California. Broke my phone at work. Got this place recommended and they did not disappoint. The manager at the Woodbury Gophermods, Tanner, assisted me efficiently and quickly. Highly recommend this place if you need your phone fixed. My first ever review written goes to Gophermods for their excellent origination story coming from the University of Minnesota and their efficient handiwork.

These people are amazing! I REALLY COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE. I brought them a phone to fix that was older, dead and wouldnt charge. There was a lot of unknowns going on with my phone. They kept in touch with me as the situation changed. My phone soon became a priority to them so they could get it back to me as soon as possible. It ended up not being worth it to fix in the end, but they transferred all my data to a new phone and made some adjustments per my request.After a couple days of working on it, I was afraid of the bill. They were more than reasonable. They are not only very knowledgeable in their work, they have outstanding customer service. I dont why you would ever go anywhere else for your electronic needs. In an era where good customer service seems to be a thing of the past....this was a wonderful experience.You will not be disappointed.

My phones charging port stopped working and I was afraid I would need to get a new phone. Stopped here and they fixed it in two minutes free of charge (it just needed cleaning). Owen was very helpful.

Something was stuck in my charging port on my iPhone. Went to the Woodbury location for repair. Mike had me out the door in 2 minutes! Great place for repairs. Highly recommend Gopher mods. I’ve used them since they opened at the U of MN. I’ve always been pleased with their service.

Great service!! I was in and out less then 5 minutes for drop of and pick up. I needed a battery replacement for an iphone 6. Both the rep who helped me were very helpful and was able to answer any questions that I had. Definitely going back!

Had a deeply shattered screen; folks here got my phone in for service, ran a quick 8-point diagnostics test during check in, replaced the screen with ease and got it back to me within a couple hours. All this for a decent price, too. Loved the enthusiasm and attitude of everyone I interacted with, as well. Highly recommend anyone looking to get their MM devices fixed up to bring them here.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I’ve been using them since 2014 when they were a tiny one-store new business. The service is phenomenal, and quality of the work is second to none.My daughter’s iPad needed repairs for shattered glass and a nonfunctional home button. We no longer live in Minnesota, and our attempts at finding a quality repair shop have been less than successful, so we brought her iPad along on a trip home. They were able to repair the glass and home button, apply a glass screen protector, and replace the battery for well below what I expected to pay for the glass and home button alone. I trust them to be honest, prompt, and reliable. There is no reason to go anywhere else.

Highly Recommended!! Excellent Customer Service and very professional. Really impressed! I thought I had damaged my phone after dropping. No visible damage but seemed to be completely dead. Took to first shop...didnt get good feeling. They said I needed new screen & battery for ~ $175 or buy new phone for $1200. Took to GopherMods...they did actual diagnostics and verified nothing wrong at all...battery just needed charging. Tech said they like checking things out thoroughly first before proceeding with anything more drastic. Total Cost: $0. (I did purchase phone case with just to not feel guilty for taking up their time with what ended up being a non-issue.)

Stopped in here with my iPad not functioning. They did a quick diagnosis and ended up doing a reset for me, all for no charge. Great service and I will definitely come back and would recommend them.

I thought I needed a major repair on my iPad, but the technician took a quick look at it and made the repair on the spot, and didn’t charge me a thing. The lightning power cable had come apart in the power socket and it looked like the whole socket needed replacing. But he carefully took a tweezers and removed the broken parts and gave the IPad back to me good as new. I highly recommend this wonderful company.

I cracked my screen on my surface pro 7. There also was damage to the frame/housing. Some places wouldnt even try replacing glass with cracked housing. I Called multiple places and cheapest place around.Honestly I will forever come here because they fixed it fast. Were super helpful and honest. The technicians at Gophermods in Woodbury were professional and patient. They explained and quoted me worst case scenario for my repair, and in the end, they were able to fix my iPad mini for even less than their best case scenario. Had Gophermods replace a cracked iPad screen. Tech performed detailed testing on the final result and found a problem which was then corrected. Happy they are so thorough with quality testing.

I brought in my cracked screen protector that I bought from them one and a half years ago. The gentleman took my phone, brought it back in less than five minutes with a brand new screen protector for zero dollars. There is nothing better than free. I cannot recommend this service more highly.

Weve brought in both phones and laptops. The service has been excellent and reasonably priced. I recently brought in a phone and Emma was able to fix the problem in less than 5 minutes at no charge.

We had an excellent experience. They were friendly, thorough and cheaper. On the phone they asked all the right questions and checked to see if they could get what we needed before scheduling a date for repair, so efficient.

I visited this place after my phone screen randomly started showing lines. I purchased the warranty along with the screen repair. A couple days after receiving my “fixed” phone, I noticed that the screen was not fully attached to my phone. I brought it in and got it repaired once again. Again, the phone screen was not adhered correctly, but I hadn’t noticed until I was out of town. Since I didn’t come in for about a week after calling (because I was out of town) they claimed I didn’t come in when the issue started, and they used up my warranty I had bought. I didnt purchase another warranty because I don’t plan on going back. A month or two after the most recent repairs phone randomly started showing lines again. I am not going back because I am not going to pay ONCE AGAIN for their mistake.

Owen was awesome! I was fighting two bears, a competitive weight lifter, and 1997 Honda civic hatchback in a WWE cage match style fight when I cracked the screen of my IPhone XR. I came in, got helped right away by Owen (who has awesome hair) and he explained everything perfectly and was very professional. It costed me a little above 200 to get my cracked screen fixed, I did get a screen protector and the warranty. Without the those two, it would have cost me around 150 (my advice, get the warranty). I then proceeded to leave the store when the two bears that lost to me in the cage match showed up for a rematch. But because I also spent my day practicing eatting briskets and ribs for contest, I was to tired to fight the bears. That was when Owen popped out the store and went Super Saiyan. He then proceeded to defeat both the bears and win over their bear girlfriends with the fight. But during that fight, Owen also went above and beyond and he washed and waxed my car while fighting the bears. Did I also mention that he also change the oil and the coolant while fighting in Super Saiyan form (DIDNT EVEN USE ANY TOOLS!). Then told me that I can take credit for the fight because he knows how much beatings bears in fights means to me.Overall, 11/10, great customer service, great timing, for sure more efficient then going through with a phone carriers insurance plan.I will be sure to break my phone every week so that I may come back for service.

I am happy with the service I received- my screen is fixed, but I put in a request on your website stating that I had an iPad mini 4 with a cracked screen and was quoted $89 over email to replace the screen. I came into your shop to get this service and was told it was $180. This is obviously a huge discrepancy. It was very disappointing that not only was this quote not honored, but there was no middle ground.Based on your work, I would recommend you to my friends and family, but because of this huge difference in pricing, I would not recommend your services to anyone. I’m still confused about the discrepancy in pricing and feel I was ripped off. I will be posting this to other review sites for your company and am happy to provide my email quote I received, which I showed your representative when I dropped off my device and was told it was wrong.

While Gopher Mods were unable to successfully replace the cracked screen on my husbands phone it wasnt due to lack of effort. The staff treated me fairly and did everything in their power to overcome a couple vendor defective screens with no luck. I would definitely recommend them. Professional and very courteous.

I had a laptop problem I could not resolve. Gophermods Woodbury took my call on the 1st try (no back and forth phone tag) and then got back to me within 24 hours with an assessment of the problem. They were fast, responsive and fairly priced. I talked to several different people and all were easy to talk with and knowledgeable. We are lucky to have Gophermods in Woodbury, and I won’t trust my technology needs to anyone else now that I found them.

Great service, awesome people !My iPhone X had a water damage which caused dead screen. First they charged 19$ as diagnostic fee (which is comparatively less compared to other repair shops) and also this value goes towards the final repair bill. The screen replacement cost was 199$ plus tax . They replaced the screen and I cant see any difference in the original and replacement. The workmanship is excellent. They also have a nice tracking portal in which you can see your repair status and also can comment anything that you want your tech to know.Lastly, people working here are great and welcoming. They always seem willing to help and do the best they can to restore the phone. They were not able to repair the logic board issue for my phone’s camera module and they were honest about it that they don’t have the required expertise and training to do that work . Repair time for screen replacement was about 3 hours (probably because of some pending orders before me )This is the best mobile repair shop in this area, considering the price and experience from the initial inquiry to the final repaired product delivery. They meticulously check the phone and repair it with great workmanship.p.s They have one year warranty on the screen replacement as well.

Cracked my Ipad pretty bad and I called in the morning when they opened. They were able to get me in quick and had the screen repaired within two hours! Much cheaper then best buy or the apple store (i forgot to buy the warranty) and the worker was extremely helpful with all the questions and information both on the phone and in person!

Have always bought our electronics here and have always been very happy with results.They have always been straight up and honest with me as to whether the electronic was worth trying to fix or not.

If you are looking for a cheap, and fast fix this; is the place. However the prices they offer, reflect the quality youll receive. Although out of their control, it took them about a month before they were able to get the screen for my specific phone, an iPhone 11 pro. The process of getting it fixed once they have the screen was very easy, very nice workers, and very timely. It wasnt till I got home where I realized the screen they used was not of the quality it was originally. Its hyper sensitive, and gets disabled in my pocket by touching my leg through the fabric, a problem that I have never had in the 7 years of owning an iPhone. Overall, I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a quality replacement, however it was the cheapest I found in the twin cities, so I guess you get what you pay for.

I spent over 8 hours with Apple regarding fixing an iPhone screen. I was then directed to a few iPhone repair stores in my area. I went to several and none of them had the correct screen or wanted an outrageous price to help. I went to Gophermods and my problem was sorted out within 2 hours! Contacted two local tech repair shops for a replacement on a MacBook Air that was not functioning correctly due to something being spilled on it (used by one of my kids). GopherMods came back with a price more than 50% lower than the competitor, and a recommendation from a neighbor who works for a school district and they send some of their repairs there. We were told that the parts would take a week to get in and it would be after Christmas that the laptop would be fixed. The parts came in early and we had it back before the holiday, which was a great surprise. Everything works like new, including the backlight on the keyboard which had been out for about 6 months. I went in and they said that it would be done in an hour over the phone. I left my there with the idea there going to replace the charging dock and battery. It not only took 3 hours but I had to call them to check if my phone was ready, when they said they would call me once the phone was repaired. After that I was using my phone and my volume button stopped working properly and it would randomly glitch and open random youtube videos. Now the store is closed for the day and I have to deal with this till tomorrow and have them repair my phone all over again. At this point I just want my phone fixed properly and my money back from this horrible experience.

They were able to take my computer and work on it within a couple of days. Keeping informed as they progressed, although they couldn’t fix as the computer was toast. They explained clearly the issue and gave me options. I highly recommend as they also helped with a glitch in the set up of a new computer.
