The woman at the front desk was the only nice part of this experience. I made an appt for my 7 year old son and Ken, the stylist did not say anything to him… did not even acknowledge him. He was not friendly and did not cut his hair well at all. I felt as if we were bothering him.It’s chopped way too short. I specifically told him (Ken) where the cowlick was and he did not listen, it is now sticking straight up. He did a hard part and did a very thick un-even line. We are will not be coming back and now I need to find someoene to fix this .

Nadine did a fantastic job. I havent been to a barber in years until my cut at Roosters. They know mens hair better than salons. Ive only been there once, but Ill definitely be a repeat customer. Might even try the straight edge shave.

Scheduled a week in advanced, got a call from Roosters saying the stylist I selected no longer works for them. I got an appointment with KEN instead. All I was in for was a beard trim. I wanted it cleaned up and trimmed and to remain full looking. When I was done my beard was thin, so thin you could see through to my skin. Look like a high school kid going through puberty. Not only did I leave unpleased, but he knicked me 3 times with the straight edge razor. I asked my girlfriend who was with how it looked, she didn’t say much, but she told me I had blood on my face. He let me get out of the chair with blood on my face and neck. He didn’t even talk at all during the time I was there. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, WILL NEVER GO TO ROOSTERS AGAINEdit: I ALSO WAS ATTENDING A WEDDING DAY OF! So it was nice to be there with cuts on my face

I have been going to Ken for about 6 months now. Prior to Ken, my wife cut my hair for 15 years as she was an Aveda trained stylist but went to pursue another career 10 years ago. As her back and neck started to have issues, we agreed it was time. I picked Roosters as it was close to my home and I chose Ken by chance. I should have purchased a lottery ticket that day because I hit big. The fade/clipper game Ken performs is amazing. My wife, being a stylist is very picky and has given her blessing. Beyond the cut, the wash with scalp massage makes my body melt into the chair only to receive a steam towel and use a magical scalp device that Im convinced was designed by hair stylists to get more tips... I dont care, take my money!

This place is doing what they can they already have a good setup as far as distancing but also require masks inside but will adjust them so they do not affect the haircut

I always have Sarah as my barber, I highly recommend her. Great conversations and always a consistent cut. Ive been to many different barbers before, all who say Asian hair is difficult to cut. Sarah has never had any issues when cutting my hair. Ive never had any complaints and my wife always loves my cuts when I get home. Sarah has performed a couple of different style which were all very successful. Weve done fohawks, side parts, and general clean ups with all different types of fades. They all turned out great. Also, the included shampoo and wash at the end feel great!

My stylist does an excellent job of consistently cutting my hair in the same style each time I visit her. I love the fact that I can easily schedule my appointment with her online. The cost is definitely worth the results. Gone are the days of walk in to lower end hair cut shop where I get a different stylist each time and ultimately a different hair style each time.

I’m always very happy when I go in for my monthly haircut. The price isn’t the lowest but when it comes to how long it takes, how it’s done, and offered amenities (like the either hot or cold towels and head massage during shampoo.). Overall this place is awesome with nice people that do great work. Very recommended.

I love going here, I am very picky on hair cuts especially pricey ones but the stylists here are great. You are pampered, if you keep the same stylist the remember you, know what you want and care. Nicole N you have always made me feel comfortable and cared for. I totally recommend this place to anyone. All staff are engaged and are aware of all patrons in the facility. Free beverages are always a plus.

As always, the staff is friendly and helpful. Even during the COVID times, they are very polite. Ken is the best!

Very good attention to detail. This is not about getting you in and out as quickly as possible. It is about the experience too. Always relaxing. The 30 min goes by too quick. It is a nice respite from work and the craziness of life.

A welcome change from most guy focused hair cut places. My wife had been bugging me for the last few days to get a hair cut. Part of the reason I didn’t want to get one was because of the amount of time it takes. A 15 minute hair cut really takes 45-60 minutes when you figure in the amount of time you end up waiting to see your hair stylist. Not here!I really liked the fact that you can schedule an actual time to get your hair cut. What a time saver! When I arrived I spent only a minute or two before I sat down for my hair cut. The stylist was friendly. We chatted most the time but I also some of the guys not talking which seemed to be fine.My haircut looked great and the hot towel/scalp massage was nice too.I paid $33 with tax. Adding tip I got out of there for $40. For sure not cheap for a guy’s haircut but I appreciate the precision haircut and the no hassle. I’ll be back!!

You can get the same (similar /edit here) mens haircut almost anywhere else for half the cost. Prices start at $50-$60. They dont advertise their prices.Edit based on response below. I did not mean to mislead others by the price estimate above. I was recalling to the best of my recollection after visiting the salon with my spouse. For anyone like me who likes to have an idea of what the charge is for services provided is why I wanted to add an estimated price point.

You get what you pay for. This was the best haircut I have had in a very long time. Treat yourself to the upgraded cut and get the razor finish. I will definitely be coming back.Edit: third time back and the straight blade game strong with these folks. Definitely my barber shop and will continue to spread the word!

I appreciate the skill of my stylist, Sarah, and when we met she was very attentive to learning how I like my hair. As a result she remembers me and does a perfect job every time.

My local haircut joint decided to suddenly stop opening on Sundays with no notice other than a sign posted on a door. I remembered passing by Roosters and decided to give it a shot. It appears that the stylists act as the cashiers/appt makers there(so one had to stop to help me). I asked if itd be possible to be seen and she dismissively asked, So I take it you didnt make an appointment then. I thought Duh lady., and kept myself from rolling my eyes. They were able to get me in a hour and a half later. I was impressed at how professional they are. My stylist was Carmen and she kept the conversation upbeat and interesting. She was intuitive to what I wanted done which impressed me I really didnt have to direct at all and just answered her questions. Plus she was really nice! Haircuts are a little more spendy here but if you budget ahead and make an appointment you should have a good experience. Just knocked off one star for the not so great first impression and greeting being a walk-in. It was worth though overall.

If you care how you look then come here. I used to go to cost cutters and similar places for cheap prices and I got what I paid for. A bad cut and not a well done cleaning job leaving me driving home itch and getting pricked down my back. But if you come here you get a great cut, good conversation, your own booth, a wash with a warm towel on your face and a neck shave. Just be sure to make the experience better by bringing in a photo on your phone, arrive early otherwise your messing up their schedule and be sure to tip them. Ive been coming here for a year now and I always get what I ask for.

My husband and I decided that he should start going to a barber shop regularly instead of completing his hair cuts at home or through a family friend (great decision, btw). We chose Roosters in Woodbury based on location and reviews, and are so happy that we did.He has seen Samantha both times, and noted a few things:- The staff seem close and have a good time together. Having this close knit community of barbers is welcoming and heightens the experience.- Samantha doesnt overwhelm him with chatter or questions, but does seem genuinely interested in him as a customer.- She didnt seem hesitant at all to cut his hair and he felt as though she knew what she was doing.My thoughts:- Because Asian hair grows and feels differently, we have always steered away from non-Asian barbers/stylists due to seeing the damage that can be done. We have not had this experience with Samantha. Shes great!- Weve tried two different cuts and shes done excellent on both, as well as told my husband that she would help him with styling as his hair grew in. He couldnt be in better hands.Again, we are so glad that we found Roosters. We will continue to come here as long as possible.(Weve always scheduled through their online scheduling system. Generally we schedule for at least a day or more ahead and have found that this works great for us. My husband has always been seen quickly and there isnt a wait time.)

I went here because I didnt trust myself not to ruin my beard. Instead, I paid $20 to have them ruin it for me! Nichole Z must never have trimmed a beard before. She cut it way too short, and it was uneven! She supposedly used a straight razor to clean up the edges, but once I got home I realized she missed most of it. I could literally grab the hairs she missed with my fingers. I ended up just shaving the whole thing off and starting over. Thanks for wasting 6 months of beard growth. If you like your beard, dont go here!Update: The manager, Ken, called me and refunded my money. His commitment to customer service if obvious. Once my beard grows back, I will be happy to give them another shot, as long as it is someone with a lot of experience, like Ken.

Ive been visiting this Roosters location for a few years and receive exceptional service. I primarily go in for the club cut, but occasionally treat myself to the full service gentlemans choice (full beard shave and haircut).Treat yourself someday to a straight edge razor shave - they are delightful! Its old school barber service (hot towel facial, straight edge razor treatment, etc) meets modern day grooming for men (shampoo/condition, scalp massage, scented oil, hair blown dry and styled). They are friendly, efficient and offer nice little touches like complimentary water/soda in the waiting area and free in between cut neck trims. Barber/stylist Ken is great and is my go guy. The occasional trim by others is also spot on. Prices seem to rise each year, but I continue to go out of my way to receive their services. Each experience at Roosters is quite relaxing and pleasing, which keeps me loyal.

I have been coming to the Roosters in Woodbury for about 6 months and I can definitely recommend it. I set an appointment online which is really convenient. I always go to Cameron, who is really good. I have also gone to Samantha who is great as well. They do a great cut, they can also do a razer shave. Then you get a nice hair wash and a head massage with a warm towel. There was one time that I was not satisfied with my haircut and came back in the next day and they did everything to make it right. Great place to go to, I recommend. PS: they have lacroix in the fridge which I can appreciate!

You get what you pay for! Ken gave my 10 year old son an amazing haircut. I really didn’t even have to tell him anything beforehand or have him go back and “fix” or blend anything afterwards like I have to do at a lot of other places. My son was also beaming at himself in the mirror and had only great things to say about the experience. Now I’m trying to get my hubby to go to Ken, too. He always likes to run over to Great Clips, and he gets more bad haircuts than good in my opinion. This is definitely our new go-to place for a quality haircut!

AVOID!Made an appointment - between a new baby and work - free time isnt so free - went in at scheduled time and waited 10 minutes past my appointment only to have a walk in who came in after me get seen by my stylist first. I went for a shave, because I wanted to be pampered. I got a great shave and an awesome facial and massage. They are closed Sundays, so thats disappointing since I usually have busy work weeks, but Im going to go back when its time for a haircut and do the haircut-shave combo.I went back and the hair cut was a great experience too. The combo deal is the best deal at $48.

I had reviewed Roosters before but am amending my review based on my most recent experience. Although I have had good service in the past, I will not be back.I made an appointment online days before. When I got to Roosters, the stylist behind the host desk appeared to be working on something. After several minutes, she sat back in her chair and it became apparent she was only reading email on her phone. I approached the desk and asked if this is where I check in. She exclaimed, Oh, I didnt see you come in. I gave her my name and appointment time, only to find out my appointment was with her to which I had indicated I had made an appointment with another stylist. They pointed out that their system was indicating my appointment was made with the stylist behind the desk and I could wait for 1.5 hours to get in with the stylist that I intended to make an appointment with...or get in right away with the stylist that didnt even notice me enter because they were too consumed with matters on their personal phone. I even pulled up the email confirmation I received when I made the appointment that indicated the appointment I scheduled was in fact for the time, date, and with my preferred stylist. Staff couldnt explain what happened and noted that this has happened a handful of times before. I noted that I couldnt trust making another appointment with them, even if this happens rarely and didnt seem to concern them to watch me turn and walk out the door.

Relaxing environment and great haircut experience. I usually go to Sports Clips for my haircuts because its affordable and I get the shampoo and head massage but each time I go in and a different person cuts my hair it never ends up how it should. I needed a haircut for my wedding next week and figured I would spend a little more to get a haircut done right. $30 is the most I have paid for a haircut...ever, but it was worth it. Nicole N asked questions to make sure she was cutting my hair the way I wanted it cut and after the haircut you get the shampoo and the scalp brush for about 2 minutes, totally worth it. Then Im guessing conditioner was put in my hair and a quick head massage. I figured we were done, but then she put some shaving foam on the back of my neck and whipped out an old school razor to shave the back of my neck, no blood so thumbs up to that.All in all it was a great experience and I will probably be coming back even though it costs $10 more than the Triple Play I usually get from Sports Clips.
