This is my first time at the skin and laser surgery center for Botox and lip fillers. Staff and doctor were very nice and personable. Explained all that was going to be done and why. Very knowledgeable. I’ve received Botox and filler before at other places but this by far is the best. Professional and almost painless with the whole process. Very pleased with my results. Would definitely recommend.

I really felt rushed. I completely understand with COVID things are rough right now and coming from a busy practice myself I do get it! But I came in for a primary concern and still don’t understand why it couldn’t be addressed…why don’t you all remove milia anymore?I always had best experience with Janice Rasmussen.

This review is solely based on the service I received on the phone while making my appointment because I was not able to see anybody. I believe I spoke with Gracie and she was extremely accommodating over the line, and she even helped me understand some things about my insurance. I felt inclined to leave a review after all of the help! My insurance is unfortunately not accepted at this practice, but once it ever does or if I change my insurance, I really look forward to booking an appointment with this practice! I was very pleased with the level of service provided and it presented a great first impression.

Past experiences at this practice have been outstanding until today. It all started three months ago when my favorite doctor made an honest mistake by using half the needed treatment dosage during my procedure. I brought it to the doctor’s attention via email and she, without making excuses, apologized for the oversight and invited me back for a follow-up treatment. Calling the office to schedule a follow-up appointment entailed being placed on hold for upwards of 20-35 minutes at a time. I tried the old tactic of hanging up after 10 minutes of waiting and calling back to no avail. When I finally got through, the first available appointment was two months out. As if that wasn’t enough, I was also told that my favorite doctor was no longer at the practice. Feeling defeated and really needing to be seen, I asked my wife to reach out to Dr. Bulgoji directly; one board certified colleague to another. Instead of speaking with Dr. Bulgoji as requested, the lady at the front desk magically secured an appointment for the following day.The following day I arrived 5 minutes early, paid the copay, and waited 45 minutes for my name to be called. I was shown to exam room #2 by an extremely pleasant staff member. Oddly, though, she asked if I was there for a consult. Consult…huh??? It was obvious that someone had not read my chart OR the scheduling person didn’t notate the nature of my visit. Ten minutes later in walks Dr. Bulgoji to inform me that the appointment was made in error. He was extremely apologetic and agreed to see me later in the day, 4 hours later. I asked if he was aware that the previous doctor used half the required treatment dosage amount during the last procedure. Instead of owning it, he immediately went into “excuse mode”. He tells me that the doctor may have reduced the dosage because other patients my size and height require half the treatment dosage for the same efficacy. I asked matter-of-factly, “what does another patient’s treatment plan have to do with me?” I also reminded him that my SPECIFIC treatment plan should be captured in my patient notes had anyone cared to read it. Besides, I’ve been a patient for over two years and the treatment dosage amount has never changed. His arrogance and ego kicked in and he proceeds to tell me that he has been practicing for 23 years. Once again, this had absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand. I asked him to stop making excuses and take ownership for what I perceived as an honest mistake by the previous doctor that resulted in a major inconvenience for me.Fast forward four hours later I showed up to the new appointment time only to be asked for another co-pay. Problem is, the lady that took the FIRST copay and later asked to reschedule the appointment is now asking for a SECOND co-pay. She may have forgotten, but I didn’t. No! She did not get another copay.I was called maybe 15 minutes later and shown to room #7. Once again, I was greeted by extremely friendly staffers who began the procedure prep. When Dr. Bulgoji walked into the room it was obvious that he was in full attitude mode. The most notable example is that he didn’t acknowledge my presence. Said another way, he didn’t say hello…thanks for coming back….NOTHING. The procedure began and he asked, “So where does your wife work?” I answered and that was the extent of our interaction. The procedure concluded, he said a few words to his assistants and exited the exam room. Said another way, he didn’t say goodbye or engage in post-procedure dialogue. Nothing! He simply walked out. I made a joke on his way out the door regarding the efficiency and quickness of the procedure and the joke fell on deaf ears.Dr. Bulgoji, arrogance and ego has no place in your line of work sir. Instead, a physicians bedside manner is EVERYTHING!This practice does outstanding work and I am not going to allow one bad experience to outweigh 2+ years of outstanding service. I will certainly update or remove this review after my next visit in a few months.

Superb staff and medical care. Grace was the sweetest assistant. Very kind and friendly company, while being informative and offering to go the extra mile by writing down notes for us from our appointment.Dr. Rasmusen saw my son for acne he has been struggling with for years, and in just a week, he is seeing so much improvement!She had a very long and complicated routine, but with the written- out notes, it was easy to follow and yielded tremendous results so far. The wait times can be improved in my opinion, but we are extremely pleased to have found this office. .the medical care provided here is top notch.

BUT, as soon as I posted the wait time issue it was IMMEDIATELY addressed with professionalism and exemplary customer care and concern. I went there for a procedure, but unfortunately for me, my insurance requires pre-authorization. Which is apparently a thing they never seem to get around to submitting paperwork for. Despite several calls and very detailed messages left for Maria, I never seem to get any call back nor has anything ever been submitted to my insurance. If your insurance requires pre-authorization consider another medical practice, as I have wasted money, time, and energy trying to work with this practice. So very disappointing.

I have a consultation appointment next week that I need to reschedule because of a family emergency. I called and was put on hold for more than 15min. During this 15min they did not pick me up once to ask me to call back or to wait more. I said maybe they got busy with work and forgot about me. So I hang up and call again. they put me straight on hold without even asking me or notify me. So rude. I was planning to get another appointment but now I’m just gonna cancel. If this is my experience before going to the clinic then I don’t think this is the right place for me.

Worth the wait ...I was diagnosed correctly and Dr B saved my life with the Merkel cell (skin cancer).

I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen, but its understandable given the times were in. It as worth the wait. The staff is professional and the PA that saw me was excellent and took care of things efficiently and effectively! Ill be back there!

Overbooked, very long wait, and difficulty getting prescriptions. That said, the receptionist is friendly, the support staff was efficient, and there was follow-up on to help me get prescriptions.

Was told while asking questions make it quick, I have other stuff to do. Which I thought was odd considering I spent more time waiting to be seen than actually being seeing. They actually finished off with I dont know what it is, just come back if it gets worse. I called a different dermatology somewhere else in the hopes of seeing someone more competent and with better manners. Recommend you just try elsewhere.

Honestly, I was going to give a low rating at first, but after my visit last week, I have to give 2 thumbs up for Grace and Janice! Making the initial appointment was not pleasant. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and an annoyed lady picked up without the slightest apology. Even for the actual appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early but was seen 20 minutes past my appointment time.However, after being roomed, the nurse Grace made sure to stop by my room and check up on me every few minutes while offering coffee and reassuring me that the doctor would come in soon (she was the absolute sweetest- talk about top-notch service, and at a doctors office, no less!). When Janice came in, she was awesome and spent time discussing all of my different spots, even taking the time to discuss other moles that I havent even noticed before. Although making the appointment was not the best, the dedication and level of service from waiting in the room to the actual appointment was nothing short of fabulous. I would definitely recommend making an appointment at this office- make sure to ask for Janice!

When I went to my rescheduled the appointment, they told me it to was not in their system. They did not bother to apologise neither they gave me an appointment within a week or two.

Everyone else had pleasant experiences but unfortunately my experience wasnt all that great. I use to go to a Dermatologist in Fairfax but I wanted to find one closer to home. I chose this place based on the reviews. My appointment was for 3:30. I arrived early because I knew I would need to fill out the new patient forms. The lady at the front desk informed me that I had a payment due of 98 dollars that would be collected at checkout. I explain that I do suffer from excema and I explain the new concerns that I have. She leaves out of the room. A few mins later, I could hear her talking with someone about the issues that I was having, which I later learn is the doctor. She comes in, chat for a second, I reiterate that I suffer from excema, I bring my old prescriptions, she looks at my skin, makes her diagnosis. She tells me that she is going to write me a new prescription, tells me how to use it and after that shes pretty much done. The assistant who was in the room asked where did I fill my prescriptions, I told her and she said she would call it in. I asked was I done, she replied, yes I could leave. When I get to the front desk, the lady at the front desk says $142 was due. I asked what happened to the $98, she states she was looking at the wrong insurance. I paid and she asked did she need to schedule a follow up, I told her I dont think so, the doctor didnt tell me to come back so she could follow up with me. My whole experience just wasnt too pleasant.

I went here for filler underneath my eyes never had been there before or had this done before. He did not use all the filler in my eyes why I don’t know but told me that I could come back to get the rest of it because it’s mine regardless and won’t be used on anyone else. I had two Covid scares and was sick and I come back to get the rest and they tell me it’s expired and now they want me to pay full price to get the touch up. What the heck! Terrible service not only did they not tell me it expired when I made the appt but they had me sitting in there waiting for my touch up with numbing cream on and all and then he comes in and tells me that there is none left over and they want me to pay full price again when I didn’t even get all of my last product. Talk about worst first experience especially when I was referred to Dr. B. Never going back that’s for sure.

The staff is very welcoming and Dr. D is kind of amazing. He was able to diagnosis my husbands condition by just looking at his hands and finger nails. My husband was misdiagnosed with eczema all of his life. We always wondered why the medication prescribed to him never worked. He was miserable for YEARS. It turns out that he has pustular psoriasis, which can be very painful. Dr. D was so thorough and showed great concern for my husbands condition. He even consulted with one of his colleagues to make sure he got the best treatment. I wish I could give him 1000 stars. BTW...Im also a patient and see him for acne. I 💯% recommend him.

I was interested in Botox for gummy smile and forehead. Saw Dr. Bajoghli for my first cosmetic skin care consultation. He was fantastic. Personable. Cuts to the chase. Knowledgeable. He even offered to do the procedures on the spot during the consultation! I wasn’t about to say no since my birthday was only a few days away. Needless to say, I was able to confidently smile in my birthday photos for the first time in many years! Definitely going back :)

I was here with my mom and dad for a refill on my prescription since my old dermatologist retired. I walked in and the 2 women at the desk were very nice and informing. This was my first time coming to this office. They call me in and Jessica Matias introduced herself to me and my family. She was nice at first, but she got irritated when my mom kept asking questions, being a PAYING patient we have all rights to ask QUESTIONS. You could tell she was getting annoyed; it came to a point where Jessica literally.. VERBATIM said to my mom “I’m not going to argue with your opinions.” As she said that she was blinking her eyes and doing head motions. Her negative energy made the whole room feel down after this point. I wanted to LEAVE because I felt my heart going fast and my leg was shaking out of being heated. She than said she was going to give us my refill on my prescription. Her and some other lady with her walked out and shut the door behind them. Being that they shut the door; me and my family stayed in the room because we thought they were going to come back. 5 minutes go by and we realize that they werent going to come back. We than left the room and as i was about to leave I looked at them dead in their eyes and said “Really? You werent gonna tell us we were done?!” Because at this point i’m already late for work as well. They both looked at me like they were shook; they knew they were in the wrong. Flat out unprofessional and unwelcoming is what my experience here was. I am not going to come back here and will have to look for another dermatologist unfortunately. Worst experience I have EVER had in my life going into an office.

I wish I could leave multiple five-star reviews. I was very lucky to have Michael DiSimone, PA-C for my appointment today. He is incredibly friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and he and his assistant went above and beyond the appointment to help me. They essentially performed two appointments in one to make everything more convenient for me, and he and the (very nice) front desk staff spent several minutes discussing my final appointment fee to make sure that I was not overcharged and there were no issues. I was very pleased with my experience at the Skin and Laser Surgery Center (and with Michael, in particular), and I will continue to make recommendations to others to come here. Thank you!

I adore this practice. The front staff is always warm, professional, and efficient and Ive never had a wait time that exceeded 15 minutes. Janice Rasmussen is a fantastic nurse practitioner: she is extremely knowledgeable about which treatments are available and she really listens to her patients. She is also available via both phone and email, when questions or new issues come up. When the pharmacy and insurance battle their way through six rounds of prior authorizations, the staff at Skin & Laser is extremely responsive and takes care of things quickly. Highly recommended!

My appointment was at 4pm only after I repeatedly asked about my appointment time. Subsequently I was called in the back @ 5pm . Ppl who had appointments at 415 or later all were seen before me .I did receive a call regarding this issue. It’s means a lot when a customer concern is immediately addressed. Thanks 🙏 I have changed my rating from one star ⭐️ to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ based on the call I received.

After my previous comment the owner himself gave me a call to explain why the $95 for the first treatment werent granted that it will be on my next one. He also explain to me that they are working on the availability of the staff and hired a new NP and will have extended hours. Those were my only issues with the practice but now that everything is fixed I have nothing else to say. My treatments so far have been excellent seeing results since the first one.

I went to an initial appointment and I can’t even remember the PA’s name. Male type.... he walked in, got an instrument to supposedly look at my scalp. I’m not exaggerating when I say he looked two seconds, and gave the diagnoses of seborrhic dermatitis. The main symptom of this is DANDRUFF. There is NO dandruff anywhere on my head. Not one. He insulted my intelligence by saying “I don’t see any hair loss.” Of course, because I couldn’t get an appointment for over a month! The hair grew back! I even offered pictures. He sat there and prescribe me meds for sebbhoric dermatais that I will not be picking up. I plan to call back and see a DO. NOT A PA. Also, hair loss is not a symptom of dermatitis.

Dr. Bajoghli and his staff are very professional and helpful. For example, one of his assistants took over fifteen minutes to go over the treatment and what to expect after the treatment.

I’m very impressed about the warmth, skill, and professionalism I’ve encountered at this office. I recently had MOHS surgery and it was well done from the actual surgery to the medical assistants. I used to trek up to Reston, but thrilled to stay local!

Had an appointment at 2:30 and waited less than 10 minutes. As usual everyone was friendly, the PA showed up quickly, assessed the issue, completed a biopsy and was very informative. Janice Rasmussen was informative, took the time to chat and make sure my questions were answered, was kind and approachable and gave me great confidence in her capabilities. Nice experience as a patient.

This is my second. basal cell surgery in the past decade. Dr. Bajoghli has surgically removed several areas of skin cancer from me in the last several years, always doing a great job, professional and inspires confidence. Had the pleasure of meeting Michael on my last visit….hate to use the same words again, but he too was extremely professional, personable and competent. I highly recommend this practice/office.

My husband and I both use this practice and have been pleased. I was scheduled last week to come into have an annoying rash looked at. I arrived at 4 pm for a 4:15 appointment. It is now 5:33 and I have yet to see the doctor. I understand he is a part time, semi- retired practitioner. From what the staff says, he always runs behind. Don’t know his name but will NEVER allow them to schedule me with him again. If we weren’t leaving town and needed to be seen, I would have walked out.

I scheduled an appointment for a minor cosmetic procedure two weeks before my appointment date, and when I came at my scheduled time, they had no record of my appointment. The receptionist confirmed that the number I had called was them and was uncertain what had occurred. The Dr offered to potentially squeeze me in and visually examined whether he would be able to while I was at the front desk. He seemed highly agitated and overbooked but offered to do it. After seeing his demeanor and wasting two weeks time, I decided to go elsewhere instead. I wouldnt allow anyone perform a procedure on me under those circumstances no matter how minor.

Whole family loves to see the doctor. Fixed the scar with laser surgery on daughters neck and you could not see it at her wedding.

Dr Bajoghli, is one of the best doctor I have ever seen. Finally he comes savior for my problem. I have a deep scars left by cystic acne which are aging more than 8 years. I travelled many places like Boston, Chicago, Herndon but no Doctor was t able to identify my issues as all they did was laser treatment and hydroquinone, none of them had worked actually. As I’m person of color it’s not recommended to use co2 fractional laser, so I ended with no hope. But Bajoghli understood and gave me the right treatment for my scars now I’m able to see the results and I’m still going to him. My scars were so thick that destroyed my smile line on right cheek, but now I see my smile line is getting back. Happy and I recommend him 100%.

If i could give it 0 stars i would! i had an appointment here the other week and I repeatedly told the nurses that i did not want to be put on Accutane due to personal reasons. Once the doctor came in he automatically started pushing Accutane on me and was saying how i was just chasing my tail and kicking rocks trying to get results from other options and that i was just denying the inevitable. I was very frustrated. He was also very demeaning to his nursing assistant in the room with me. He then proceeded to force me into signing up to get the testing done for Accutane. He scheduled a pregnancy test and I told him i wouldnt be needing one because i am a lesbian.. he then said we are old school here and dont believe in that so he told his assistant to write down abstinent on my forms. I was in the room for no more than 5-10 minutes tops and was so offended/ angry when i left here. I was offended by his comments towards LGBTQ+ and for how he basically disregarded my request to not be on Accutane and to try other alternatives. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

My appointment was at 3:30 and its now 5. I still have yet to see the doctor. You all know he runs behind. Maybe its time to start scheduling appropriately.

It was a good experience where I felt well taken care of and I appreciated the way my schedule was made to fit in with my limitations as a senior citizen. There was no waiting and I was allowed to come back the very next day for a second opinion at a time that was the best for me. Everyone was very kind and accommodating.

The providers are really wonderful here! They always take plenty of time with you and explain procedures or medications being called in. The Woodbridge location isn’t as spruced up as McLean, but the docs/PA’s certainly make up for it.

Ive been a patient of Janice Rasmussen for several years, and I couldnt be more pleased. Janice listens to all of my concerns, no matter how trivial. Ive had several brushes with skin cancer and shes always on top of that so I have a avoided cancer before it truly got hold of me. But Ive had some strange things happened to my fingernails, but Janice always found what to do with them. I have some other concerns that Janice is watching over and I have to tell you she will fight for you as long as you follow her instructions. Like I said she is totally awesome and I am really blessed to have found her. I highly recommend her and I really really and truly would be hard-pressed to give her up.

Dr Bajoghli and his wonderful staff have been so good in taking care of all my squamous cell skin cancers with Mohs surgeries and other methods to keep me in good health. They were able to diagnose my skin problems promptly. Appreciate the help and top expertise. Recommend without any reservation.

I’m very happy with the surgery. I think Dr. Amir Bajoghli is the best in the area. I had Mohs procedure done. He had good bedside manner, good communication skills, and he kept me at ease. His assistants were excellent too. I would use Skin & Laser Surgery again, and have recommended them to others.The minor issue I had is the overall cleanliness of the restroom. The paper towels weren’t stocked, the dispensers were dusty, and the floor wasn’t clean as you would expect in a doctor’s office. This may not be the fault with Skin & Laser. It could be their contracted cleaner or the property manager is not performing to the highest cleaning standards. They probably need some quality control and some follow up to check that cleaning is done better. I think the waiting area could be updated, maybe new furniture, perhaps a TV. I would be willing to change to 5 star’s if there’s improvement with properly supplying the restroom and cleaning the fixtures, and floor better. Overall, though I’m a very satisfied customer, and appreciate Dr. B’s work.

During my initial visit to see Dr Thomas Larry Smith of Skin & Laser Surgery Center, I was called back to see Dr Smith at my appointed time and saw the doctor within minutes. I selected Dr Smith for two basic reasons, we both have military career backgrounds and both from the Great Magnolia State of Mississippi - of the doctors I researched, he was the best option to understand my sun over-exposure - being of the sunny south. His medical assistant was equally knowledgeable of my over-exposure to the sun and clearly understood the condition and its optimum treatments.Even at the start of his examination, his experience with sun exposure was quite evidence and he knew exactly how to communicate his findings in a manner that I clearly understood.I highly recommend his professional services.

First visit. I was very satisfied with treatment. There is a helpful and friendly staff. Dr. Smith is thorough, knowledgeable and professional. I scheduled the visit due to a couple of issues. The doctor made me aware of additional symptoms found on my shoulder. I left the office with four issues resolved and a clear plan for follow up treatment.

I went to see a skin Doctor, Michael Dismone when i saw him i explain to him about the skin rash and and the spots a get in my face with infection he did not even try to get a sample of any of my problems just look and say ill prescribe a medicene so i got the meds, use it and apply as directed the skin problem still there and face med used it for 3 days and i start feeling like is was burning and the next day my face start peeling off i call the office last Monday and they say i gone see what we can do, 4 days has pass with no call back i call today Friday and they say you have to pay again for follow up!! This is BS they allready took $145.00 from me now they want an other $95dllrs!!!!! This place a rip off i dont recomend it to any one they running a scam business

Dr Bajoghli removed squamous cell on moms nose today and did a fantastic job. He’s kind and reassuring and made mom feel at ease. He did this same procedure several years ago and it healed well and looks great today. Thank you dr Bajoghli for taking such great care of my mom.
