Poor service, communications, and unreliable. I called the office to input a maintenance request on replacing a light bulb and door knob fixed and yet no response on getting a simple fix done. Must take decades… last but not least our door knob in the guest room lock got stuck and we were unable to access it. I called the office that we needed to get into this room asap and they promised they would get this door fixed that same day. We come back and yet surprisingly the door was still not fixed. We called for emergency maintenance and a man came down to assist who is one of the maintenance gentleman that works around the apartments said that the office never called him. This is just poor service from this company. If you choose on staying here, might as well start learning how to fix yourself.
I’ve lived at riverside station since 2019 and I’ve enjoyed my stay here overall with only minor issues. Very peaceful and quiet community. I would really like to give the young lady Safi In the leasing office an awesome review. She has been so professional in every interaction I’ve had with her. I love good customer service and I understand how difficult it can be to service people with different temperaments and still have to maintain your composure but she deserves recognition. Thank you so much for answering my questions in a timely manner. Please recognize her because businesses should reward good employees.
I just moved into my 2 bedroom in August. I absolutely love it. Huge bathroom which is an absolute must, large walk-in closets, large bedrooms, vaulted ceiling in the dining room. The only downside which my son says is really an upside, is I am on the 4th floor. Obviously, someone in the cosmos decided I needed more exercise. My legs are looking good!
We recently move here and I love the place. It’s calming and peaceful. The apartment building is clean and spacious! Love the storage unit that comes with the apartment lease!
Your car will get towed hereParking is scarce and apparently the towing company will check your inspection sticker and if it isnt up to date (even in visitors parking spots) your car will be towed and its a nice $150 fee to get it back. Such a terrible policy. The apartments arent much to brag about either. With fire alarms going off due to water issues in the building at about 1am... Im moving asap.
I love this community ever since the first day I moved in while during an virus outbreak. The experience trying to move was challenging but worth it. Wonderful customer service. Everyone has been super nice and helpful.
I love my community. During COVID the community planned a movie night and implemented many precautions to ensure the wellbeing of the residents. Despite it being a tough year, the neighbors made the best out of a trying situation. Some displayed encouraging messages in their windows, while others decorated their balconies for the holidays. I still felt at home and apart of a great community.
Communication and customer service with this company has been mediocre at best. I understand COVID upended a lot of things daily activities but this has been a terrible experience.DONT MOVE HERE.....
My husband and I were interested in touring a 2 bed unit at riverside station after looking at the affordable pricing. But upon arrival, the leasing agent completely ignored my husband and only acknowledged me. She didn’t even ask any questions or settle us down to sit, she simply told us where to go to go tour the apartment. So initially, we just went along hoping for a nice apartment.I went in and immediately notice the uncleanliness of the place (referring to the exterior portion of the building). There were spider webs and debris everywhere, particularly in corners. We walk into the apartment, and initially we see a nice spacious one. But after looking closer, we notice spiders on the walls, in almost every room. Not just one but multiple spiders 🕷.The appliances and kitchen was VERY basic. Nothing exciting. The countertops were dirty with yellow stains on top. The apartment was not well maintained at all.In addition, there wasn’t any built-in lighting in the rooms. Upon closing the front door, the outside light broke (shows lack of maintenance).Overall, the experience was a negative one. My husband immediately decided not to rent from such a dirty apartment building. From the leasing specialist to the apartment unit itself and the overall building, I would not recommend Riverside station to anyone.
Recently, I moved into Riversidestation Apartments and it has been an enjoyable experience.Brittinee was my leasing agent and she helped me find the best apartment for me. Additionally, she has helped me with various tasks, such as solving application issues, scheduling routine maintenance, and explaining lease terms. In my opinion, Riverside Station is a good place to move to, if you are looking for nice apartments in the Woodbridge, VA area.
If I could zero stars I would. Today my mother and I had an appointment at 3pm to look at two-bedroom apartments. Upon arriving the young lady there was already helping someone with another person (a young man) waiting in the lobby. So, my mother and I sat down to wait. After waiting about five minutes, the young lady informed us that the young man in the lobby also had a 3pm appointment to look at one-bedroom apartments and since she was the only one there she would have to lock up the place while she showed the young man around. Even though we were slightly taken aback that the leasing office would schedule two appointments on the same day, at the same time with only one girl staffing the entire office, my mother and I decided to wait in our car until the young lady returned. While we waited two more people showed up (an older couple and a African American woman). The young lady returned about 15 minutes later. Since my mother and I were parked further away, these other individuals made it to the office before us. Upon reentering the leasing office, the young lady had finished up with the young man and was now helping the older couple. Again, my mother and I sat down to wait. The young lady quickly finished up with the older couple and with no word, apology, or explanation to us, quickly ushered the African American woman into her office. Again, my mother and I waited. We waited about 10 minutes before the young lady finished up with the African American woman.Once the woman left, we assumed that it was (finally) our turn, however this young woman began to answer emails and return phone calls as if my mother and I were not sitting the lobby waiting. Again, she gave no word, explanation, or apology, she simply continued on with her work. I did not get the young ladys name, but she was short (about 52 tall), long curly brown hair, glasses, and white skin; she was wearing a powder blue shirt and with gray plaid pants. We were very upset because 1) we had appointment; 2) she continued working even though we were obviously waiting in the lobby; and 3) she did not apologize for being late. And so, my mother and I decided to leave immediately. Due to this unprofessionalism we will not reschedule let alone rent ANY apartments from Riverside Station Apartments.
This apartments are out dated and over price! The steps on the stairs are falling apart and very dangerous to go up or down! We were missing a step for 2 month in building 14070 were a tenant fell. Their maintenance only has 1 worker and the work orders are met 2-3 days late. We have molding on our vent shield, which they have ignored for months. Highly recommend no one rents from this establishment!
The staff is amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure a smooth move in process.
We moved in right before Covid 19 locked everything down. the apartment is great! parking is limited which is frustrating but is overall a great place to live.
The apartment is lovely and the staff in the leasing office are super nice. I love how quiet my apartment is. The only negative thing is that the fridge did not work right when I moved in and had to be fixed a couple times. Ended up losing a couple hundred dollars worth of groceries. Love the apartment, but beware the appliances.
I love my apartment, have had a few issues with the utilities/amenities but the office staff are wonderful and I cant get enough of my view.
MILITARY BE AWARE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!I hate that I have to even write this bad review but Im fed up at this point & this New Management just dont give a damn!! Im a Active Duty military member who moved to Riverside Station June 2018. Im still currently a resident until the end of this month. However, I am forced to move out because of a lack of safety concern due to a severe water leak that has damaged my property & has been leaking now for a month & a half with no resolution. I have emailed the company over 7 times & nothing is being done to stop the issue. As of todays date, Management still has NOT come to fix the water leak that has damaged the roof in my kitchen. Water is constantly leaking & I have been changing out pots & pans for over a month now & Im sick of it. Mold is starting to settle in the roof as well along with the constant leak. The management office only tried to paint over the spot but did nothing to stop or find the leak & the leak got worse as time progressed. This by far has been the worst experience & lack of responsiveness I have ever had to deal with.
I love love love my place. I have been here for two years now and i am still happy. With Amy apartment there is sometimes noise from a neighbor above. You can hear the train and not at times if windows are open. The gates have been a struggle since neighbors decided to hit them a few times so they didn’t work. The area is nice so there really is no security risk to need them. I have referred people here who are happy. The office staff is kind and understanding to needs and maintenance is always quickly responsive when need be. Unfortunately neighbors throw trash outside the dumpster instead of inside the empty compactor. Not the developments fault. They clean it up the best they can. People are just lazy and careless. Overall i love this place and look forward to another year. The floor plan is large and perfect for my needs. One of the major reasons i moved here was the floor plan and i am still happy. I have a big bathroom and large closets including a huge laundry room.
Safa in the leasing office is amazing, and made the whole process so easy. Very quiet community with kind neighbors. Everything is very well lit as well!
The overall community is fantastic. The apartment design and location is great as well.
The neighborhood is nice, however my building is full of spiders & spider webs. To go up the stairs you literally have to duck & dodge webs to prevent walking into them. I notified the office & they said that their water pressure was broken, however as much as rent is, I don’t see why they can’t hire someone to do it. I’ve been dodging spiders all summer & they are starting to come into my home.
I really enjoy living here, its really convenient living near the VRE and the community is quiet and the staff have been really nice. That being said I can do without the ant and spider infestation every summer.
Ive been living here since March and I like the cleanliness and peace this community offers. The management are very kind and helpful and are very pleasant to work with. Any maintenance issues Ive had got taken care of within a day or two and the facilities are very convenient. The fitness center is a little on the small side, but its a nice back up option if you cant make it to a gym.
I have been renting at Riverside Station for several years and experienced many different Management Staff. Safa, is and has been a phenomenal part of the Management Staff from day one!!!!! I am so happy she joined Riverside Station Management Team!!! I look for her when I go to the office and become sad if she is not working on the particular day. She is calculated regarding the reason for the visit before one speak, and know the residents considering this apartment complex consist of 600 units its impressive and speak volumes!!!!! Safa is ALWAYS courteous, upbeat, smiling, willing to assist, and is professional to all residents and possible renters!!!!!! Safa Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We recently had to move my brothers belongings out of Riverside Station after he passed away. Olivia in the rental office, was extremely kind to me and my family during this difficult time. She was kind, helpful and very easy to work with. She made a difficult task just a tiny bit easier. Your management should be very proud of this employee.
New management is GARBAGE!Daphne is rude and condescending. She likes to drive around the property in the golf carts texting with both hands, looking down at her phone. Watched her do it yesterday, (01 JUL 19).And whatever the new manager’s name is: unprofessional! Tried to explain Daphne ‘s rudeness, and she threw her hands up and said, “Uh, no! There is no rudeness here!”The former team was so helpful and kind. I hope these two aren’t here long.Safaa, however, is ALWAYS AWESOME! She is sweet, helpful and knowledgeable! You go girl!Keep this place classy.
We have been her for about a month now, Safa in the rental office was a joy to work with. The floor plan was great for our needs, and so far they have fixed any issues we have encountered in just a few days. Only complaint I could have is parking right in front of our building can be hard to come by and we have to walk down from a few buildings over due to the hours I work. Neighbors are very nice and polite, and having Potomac Station right around the corner has been amazing, as well as easy access to 95N.
Definitely err on the side of caution with this place. I visited last weekend to drive around the property and visit the leasing office. While there, I scheduled an appointment with Safa to come back and tour a unit this afternoon. My appointment was scheduled at 2:00. I arrived a few minutes before 2:00 today and was welcomed with an empty office and a sign stating that someone would return at 2:30. My first thought was that maybe there was some confusion with my appointment time. Mistakes happen. No big deal. I walked around the complex while I waited. Its a really attractive place and I was excited about seeing a unit. 2:30 came and went. Finally, at 3:00, Safa returned to the office. Before I could get to her, a family who currently live in the complex jumped into the office to express concern about a major issue with their unit that was supposed to be repaired before move-in but still hadnt been fixed (the floor in one of their bathrooms is actually sinking!). These residents had no idea what was going on with the status of the repair and no one had been in touch with them about when the issue would be fixed. I wasnt eavesdropping, as the office is small and I could hear everything. But all I saw were red flags. I quietly left and decided to cross this place off as a place to live. Im only giving it two stars because Safa is polite and professional; she did leave me a voicemail after I left to explain why she was so late (and it was a legit reason), but it would have been nice to receive a call before I arrived to let me know what was going on so that I wasnt left hanging. They do have my phone number and email address on file. I would have been more than happy to wait or reschedule the tour had I known what Safa was dealing with. Then again, I understand that she is the only one on the property during the weekends; she seems to have her hands full and its obvious that management doesnt keep her in the loop about the status of units, repairs, complaints, etc. I just dont feel comfortable signing a lease with this place after the issues I experienced today and the clear disconnect between management and residents. Its really a shame, as it is a really beautiful place on the outside.
Great atmosphere and welcoming staff! Safa was extremely patient and very thorough with the entire move in process. Would definitely recommend riverside station for anyone in the Woodbridge area looking for affordable quality apartments.
I have had nothing short of a great experience here & that was all made possible thanks to Safa in the office! She is friendly, helpful & always quickly responds to my emails and calls !
Ive lived here a few years back and really enjoyed my time here. I’m hoping This time will be just as good! There were a few hiccups in the beginning but after that things seem to be going well.
I really enjoyed my stay here, as it was my first apartment on my own. Nice and quiet and very clean. My only issue is that my rent increased almost 200 my first year, which is ridiculous. I was planning on staying another year, but due to this recent increase I am leaving. Also, I’m upset when I look up the current rate of rent, it is cheaper than what I was offered.
I was highly disappointed in the service I received this past Saturday. I traveled from Hampton, Va to view the apartments and had an appointment at 4:30pm which was our second attempt to get information....Safa Alaiwi call and said she doesnt give tours after 4pm. She was told we are in route and when we arrived it was 3:58pm. She looked at her computer and said it was 4:02pm ..She did not apologize or even give any brochures, prices, or any availability on the floor plans she told us to call her manager Dapne Nelson. I guess this is how they treat new comers to the area.
We love our new apartment! Thank you to Management, Karlee and Olivia, for making our transition stress free. It took a lot of looking to find Riverside Station but I feel like we are home.
Olivia and Karlee made my transition from another state very easy. They are very responsive to issues/concerns and always professional. I have been here about a month now and my only concern is the trash compactor area. One suggestion would be valet trash pick-up, which is a service that provides trash pick-up at your door for a nominal fee of $10-20 dollars per month.
Terrible experience. I honestly have no idea what type of process this place uses to schedule appointments for potential residents to look at apartments. I called yesterday on a Saturday and set up an appointment for 430. Nobody showed up. Sat there for over 30 minutes in 90 degree heat. I am actually somewhat interested in the place and was scheduling a second look so I scheduled another appointment for today at 2:30. 45 minutes later nobody has showed Up and it’s nearly 100 degrees. There is a massive disconnect between whatever service they use to schedule appointments and the on-site personnel. I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with just trying to see a place. Whether it’s been given an appointment at 4:30 by offsite personnel and then being told sorry we don’t show within the last hour by on-site personnel after the offsite people made the appointment. Safa was nice when I did finally get to see some place but that was woefully offset by the amount of frustration given I’ve been blown off multiple times. It’s just fascinating that somebody that’s in a service business considers their perspective customers time so trivial as to not be able to keep an appointment or at least do them the courtesy of letting them know they’re going to be late. This is all on principle at this point and people need to be aware that if you even want to remotely try to engage with Riverside Station that you should have zero confidence in whatever scheduling process that’s in place. I mean zero. I say that it’s on principle because there is NO WAY, NO WAY, that I would ever rent from them at this point
My dad lives there and whenever I come to his house (because Im 10 and my family divorced) its really fun, awesome pool, normal and comfy emount of rooms, nice bath tub and really nice people, I will live in here when I grow up and turn 18 in 8 years, cya there! Arrrrrr
I LOVE living here! We have a modest size 2br/2ba, walk in closets, full size kitchen, W/D included, apartment with a fireplace and a cute balcony, that overlooks the woods and a smidge of the Potomac.Any issues (which are very minimal) are met with immediate attention and care by the wonderful staff here. The neighbors are super quiet as well❤.Ive seen other reviews regarding the garbage issue.Yes, there were previously some problems that management has been very proactive about. Such as; hiring additional staff to take care of any trash/recycle overflow and to be fair, entire households worth of furniture, that had been carelessly shlumped there by some tenants moving out. Its been handled beautifully.Ive been very impressed with the management and theyre all absolutely fantastic to interact with.We also have two cars and zero issues with parking. If you choose to live here, youll be doing yourself a favor. Its so worth it! ❤
We have lived here over a year and have had issues from early on. We, along with many other tenants are looking to move out. This property is pretty to look at and apartments are a good size and modern but do not let that fool you. The buildings were made with cheap materials and do not make it through severe weather. The rain storm we had cause several apartments to leak. The recent snow storm caused leaking. Windows rattle and whistle with winds. Heat and AC leak out the windows and doorways because they are not fully sealed. We have had several complaints into the office to fix these things. It takes days and sometimes a week for the to make it out to your unit to look at the issues. We had quite a large amount of water leaking from our sealing and it took them a few days to even come have a look. then another couple days to do anything about it. They didnt even provide buckets or tarps to cover the area and collect the water coming in. The so called security gate has worked a total of almost 3 weeks in the past year and a half and other tenants that have lived here longer say it hasnt worked for longer then that. One of the buildings here has had a fire alarm go off 3 times in a 3 week period this past January 2016, in the middle of the night. Causing families with small children and animals to completely vacate the building. Also causing all tenants to be super tired the next day at work. Come to find out, the office has their own maintenance doing the service which a fire marshals office or hired contractor should be fixing. And they wonder why it keeps going off. This is the first complex I have ever lived at where they do not inform you that you have a package at the office. The mailboxes here are so small, you can not go a day without checking your mail or the mailman will break what he has to in order to get your mail in. He lives on the property too. Anyway, someone sent me a package (that I was not expecting). This person finally contacted me asking about the package they sent, come to find out, it had been sitting at the office for 2 weeks. when I asked why they hadnt contacted me after the first week, the office said that is not their job to let us know we have packages. You can not walk on any of the grass here because the office does not enforce the pick up your dogs poop rule. It is disgusting how much poop all over the property, and often on the sidewalks. The poop stations are always running out of bags which takes weeks to refill and the station garbage often overflow with poop bags because they are also not emptied out on a regular basis. The community garbage & recycling station is often over flowing and the compactor out of service causing the management to have to bring in an additional large dumpster for our garbage. Then that sits there for an extended period of time. It took 3 months for them to finally get an exterminator out to our unit. And that was after finally calling in anger and taking a day off work to make sure they had someone come out. It took 6 months of complaining for them to finally get rid of the spiders that were taking over our breezeways. It was so bad people could not use the hand rails because they were afraid they may get bit. My neighbor had a roach infestation problem causing her to have to switch buildings. When they do hire outside vendors/contractors, it is plainly obvious they go with the lowest bidder because the work is hardly every done correctly. Bottom line is, the management at this complex are cheap, unresponsive, constantly lying and cutting corners. The one thing they did do was replace the rude people they had in their office a few months ago. In our building alone, there are 4 units (that I know of) that are empty, one scheduled to move out and another preparing to break lease. In another building, I know of a tenant that has 4 empty units in their building as well that they know of. People are jumping ship here. I usually like to leave good reviews for companies because not many people focus on the positives. However, there arent many nice things
Been at the apartments for almost a year and happy to say it has been a great experience . For cost and convenience of the vre train into DC, I dont think theres a better value especially with the size of the apts. no issues with parking or loud neighbors either, unlike some other places . Plus access to a great pool and small but substantial gym
Super nice people! Maintinance problems are always fixed quickly, and the community feels safe. For the area, this is one of the most affordable complexes that isnt income restricted.
I love this place! I couldnt believe my luck when I was able to secure a large square footage 1-bedroom unit for a discounted price. That was over two years ago. It is so quiet, even on weekends. As Im writing this, all I hear are birds chirping and a small dog barking from far away.My apartment is awesome!! It has the biggest bathroom that I have ever seen in an apartment. You could put a twin-sized mattress in it. The kitchen is great, with modern appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer.Last winter, a pipe burst and flooded my entire place, while it was 11 degrees outside. All of the carpet had to be ripped out. Management stepped in and took care of everything. I was back in my apartment after 9 days, with brand-new wood flooring, at no extra cost to me.Is the garbage area disgusting at times? Sure, but I blame the tenants! They are the ones who dont know how to dispose of trash and recycling materials. They are the ones who break the compactor.Does it get cold in the winter? Sure, but every dwelling gets cold in the winter. Even the well-insulated ones develop drafts. This community is walking distance from the VRE, which worked out perfectly for me, when my car was totaled. Speaking of cars, the parking lot is enormous. Ive never had a problem finding parking right in front of my building. Never. In conclusion, I dont see myself leaving anytime soon. Riverside Station suits me just fine.
Great place to live!! And outstanding management team. Thank you Reverside Station!!!
I have water leaking 3 times in 3 months in the master bedroom, everytime I have to empty the bed room, two times it took 10 days to get fixed, the 3d leaking is happening as of now.on the second leaking the heater upstairs almost fall into our apartment and who knows what damage it could have cost. as explain to me by maintenance team it could have burned the place.Olivia is very helpful, but the upper management is not, They dont compensate the electricity they used in the 20 days although it was arround 100$ nor they care that the master bed room was out of service for 35% of the monththere other things that make your living there sucks, the smell of the carpet, the nosie of the maintenance inside my flat and upstairs the hot water outage and the air conditioning issues due to the leaking from upstairs.
This place is horrible. I would give it one star but Ive lived in worse places, unfortunately. They hold packages that are delivered and dont inform you of it, like my debit card that they had for almost a week. The fire alarms are malfunctioning and go off sporadically and have been for over 4 or 5 months. When they claim that theyre fixed, they go off again and the fire department is frustrated with them. They dont do anything but send emails about residents with pets off leashes in a county where its the law to do so. The trash area is always a mess with broken glass but even with a video camera they do nothing about it. There are spiders everywhere that arent controlled and keep telling residents to remove webs to get rid of spiders (last time I checked spiders create webs not the other way around, but maybe Darwin could explain that evolution to me). The security gates have worked for MAYBE 2 weeks since we moved in over 10 months ago. The only thing this place had going for them was Katie, but she is now gone.
Nasty nasty nasty. Nothing good about this place. If you like ghetto living move here!
I like it and every year it get better!!!
Awesome work
Great communication
Moving in soon.
