Service is excellent. The only issue is the lack of parking for cars awaiting service. Not gonna deduct a star for that though.

I brought a flat tire to a big tire shop in Woburn and they said they couldnt repair it. Said the hole was too big. Brought the same tire to Corey at Callahan and he repaired it. That was a week ago and the tire works great. Whats more than that is that he didnt charge me anything. So I gave him a twenty and asked him to get a beer for his old man. Awesome shop.

The Callahans have been in business for 44 years. Ive known them for over 20 years. This is a father & son business.Jake will tell you truthfully what your car needs. A local family business with that rare quality - honesty. They will either fix it right the first time, or let you know how and where to go if they cannot. These are my go-to people.

Trustworthy, honest, transparent. these are the adjectives that folks use when looking for auto mechanics. incredibly, the good folks at this palace of automobile mechanical services have it in spades.a recent example is, my vehicle had an out of warranty timing belt system replaced from 2 years ago by Jakes team. even though it was out of warranty, Jakes team was able to get the vendor to honor warranty but also serviced and replaced a subcomponent of timing belt for free because they pride themselves on having the best of breed support from this local vehicle repair shop. so with other shops, we may have to foot some labor costs or perhaps some percentage (like it is with dealers sometimes) of parts and labor. but with Jake, due to the way they operate their business with 100% integrity and 100% pride in their 100% work, this was not a big issue. they are also doing this for customer retention, they dont mind eating the cost of this fix to communicate to the customer they value the business. this quality of service (including the vendors they utilize) represents who they are and what they represent. therefore, how even the part sourcing that is supported that Jakes team uses reflects 100% on who they are. i dare you to name 2 or even just 1 other auto repair shops that dares to stand behind the complete chain of support for consumer vehicle services in the whole industry vs. blaming it on parts vendors/services. the buck truly stops here at Jakes team.that is just something from 2 weeks ago (at the time of this review). i have been using Jakes team to handle all of my vehicles for more than a decade and this is common place. they are fair, good and will explain all the technical mechanical details if you are so inclined.furthermore, unlike many other auto shops... they will give you a very high level assessment if its worth keeping your vehicle. i had a 2 door that was on the last leg and rather than dumping more $ into repairing it... Jakes team will actually give you an honest assessment of if you keep this vehicle here are things that you might need to fix vs. replacing the vehicle. id like to think most car owners would like to have someone that gives this direct feedback because at some point of a vehicles life. you will need to be faced with this decision. there is no one else that i would rather go to get feedback to review whether to keep the vehicle or replace it.finally, even if you removed:1. quality of mechnical/technical perspective2. quality of customer servicethey are just so funny and personable and hilarious to talk to. i mean... you dont get those small personal touches with local or national chains, but also that Jake and his team... are so personable and will go out of their way to care for you behind vehicles in the sense they know your spouse, your kids so much so that my kids just asked to go inside the office to meet Jake :).PS the phone response issue, you yourself should by now majority of voice calls are now mostly robocalls. would you rather Jakes answer phones directly and waste time dealing with robocalls.... or actually work on your vehicle? leave a voicemail and he will get back to you. if you dont leave a voicemail, how would they know to return your call? and trying to add electronic communications will increase the cost of repairs. would you rather get a good/fair deal on repairs or increased auto repair costs for implementing electronic communications? i for one, would rather goto someone with light/nimble/reduced overhead and just pay for the labor/parts. so just leave a voicemail and Jakes team will get back to you. will he miss it? sure, no one is perfect... but that second voicemail he will get back to you long as you left your telephone number correctly.PPS im not a family/relative/affiliated with Jake in any way or is this review compensated in any way. i just think hes a stellar guy that delivers on the promise of America small business quality service.
