Got estimate for what the tech stated was a 10 minute job to cap an fully exposed and accessible radiator heat pipe. Promised to return several days later on a Saturday. No show. Dispatch claimed they should not have scheduled it and they didn’t have the part. Quote was for just under $500. I cancelled the contract. Got it done 2 days later by a reputable plumber for $100. This company is clearly price gouging. They promised a refund two weeks ago. Nothing yet. Complaint to be filed with BBB and AG.

Addario’s performed our conversion from oil heat to gas, and also plumbed a fireplace for a gs insert. They were very professional, taking care of rebates through the state program, coordinating with the burner removal company and the fireplace install company. Start to finish, the process has been seamless and painless! And other trade people that have come in after them have all said that our heating system looks great, that everything is so neat and well designed. We are very happy with their service!

I have used Addarios for a few different things over the years, and at all times have they been great. They remodeled our shower to get rid of a badly seated bath fitter type thing (still looks great four years later). Nobody else would even give us a quote on that work, and they completed it on time and budget. They also fixed a leak below that bathroom which I thought was their fault but was not really. They redid the entire ceiling and I feel like they went above and beyond to find the right people to get the leak fixed and covered up. It took a few days to get it done right but thats what I wanted and expected. Just yesterday, I asked them to diagnose a failing AC mini split unit and they came out within a day and quickly and professionally explained how poorly it was installed. Probably should have used them to do the install originally. Im sure it will get fixed correctly. I feel like whatever I need done in my house that I cant do myself, Addarios could probably get it done for me.

They came out promptly and the technician was very nice. Easy to contact the office and staff who was very responsive and pleasant. Pricing was a bit unclear. Website lists a $129 consultation fee and they tell you on the phone that is the price to diagnose the problem, at which time servicing pricing will be discussed. However upon technician’s arrival, he stated that the $129 is only to come out, and the diagnostic fee is greater than $300. Ultimately ended up stating that they don’t service my buildings type of air conditioning even though they had confirmed on the phone that they work with commercial units. They ultimately still charged me the $129 consultation fee and were unable to diagnose the problem.I discuss this with the office, and they told me they would improve training of the staff that answers the phone to clarify this with future customers.

Sump Pump was triggering alerts even after replacing the main pump a couple of days ago. The alert system on the pump was one that Addarios was not familiar with. Nevertheless, Brian did multiple diagnostics, adjusted the pump level, did repairs to the backup pump and everything is now working beautifully. Genius!He even did this second visit free of charge. Great company and great service.

We called Addario’s for emergency Air Conditioning service for our condo in Watertown. Addario’s was booked up for three days, but got us a late/after hours appointment the day we called. We live out of the country and rent out our condo. Addario’s worked with our building superintendent and our tenants to diagnose the problem and repair the unit. Addario’s customer service representatives were fantastic and understanding. This was a great experience - thank you Addario’s!

Ive used addarios on two occasions. Once a few years ago when my heating wasnt evenly being distributed throughout the upstairs and downstairs in my house. Just today they came and installed a new Central AC unit.On both occasions I found the technicians to be extremely helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. The customer service department is friendly knowledgeable and has excellent follow through and I will definitely call upon them again in the future when the need arises.

The technician was very knowledgeable and he immediately found the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes. He kindly explained what to do with a minor adjustment.The installation crews for the new boiler two days before were pleasant and they finished the work quickly. Unfortunately, problems occurred light after the installation but Addario’s response was very quick and sent the techs twice. My husband and I have been satisfied with Addario’s services for six years. We like the 24-hour service that gives us a peace of mind.

Marc, Joe, Brian and the rest of the team were professionals. They all took the time to understand future plans for the home and install the plumbing in a way that would make those plans as easy as possible. Brian and the install team were all friendly, super knowledgeable, hard working and always took time to clean up the site at the end of the job. They care like a small business but have the resources of a large one. Highly recommended.

I have an electrical problem. First time the electrician couldn’t find out the issue. Second time the said they will send someone licensed (which means the first electrician is not licensed?) Second electrician changed the breaker with a temporary one, which against the building code. He said he will come back to replace with the correct one, but we never hear back from him. Then I found the temporary breaker cause another issue. So I booked the third visit. I waited almost 1 month, they sent a quote to sign 2 days before he come. I called again to confirm do I have to sign that to get him here. One lady answered the phone and said he will be here anyway. Then I waited 2 hours, he didn’t come. I called again and was told it is on hold because I didn’t sign the quote. Haha Funny? You get different answers every time you call them! Very unreliable! Unprofessional!

We’ve had particularly good results with Cameron. He seems most familiar with our system understands what we want it to do.

Addarios has done work for us in the past, installing 2 furnaces and a tankless hot water heater, with no issues. Recently they replaced heating ducts and measured and supplied a register in a room with new wallboard. When installing the register they cut into molding, leaving a more than 1 foot gap, They were asked to redo the job. Their carpenter came and said he would put a flat piece in that wouldnt match. We actually bought molding that would match, and asked them to supply a smaller register. Despite numerous calls over at least six weeks, they have not fixed the issue. I have been told multiple times by three different people that they would come out the next day, then that they had ordered a register, that they would call me back to discuss the issue, none of which happened. Finally, they told me they didnt know how to fix it.I am disappointed in their service, and would not recommend them for any kind of finish work.In response, my husband thought he was cutting the baseboard. Look at the pictures. The work was badly done, and the register was the wrong size.I said we would get a second opinion from a carpenter, but we found the molding ourselves. I gave measurements for a second register, and was told repeatedly that it was being obtained. No one ever told me that they couldnt get one. I couldnt get any responses.

Nick & Edron showed up on time. They had all the necessary parts and tools to get the job done. It was a big job and the A/C hadn’t worked for a week. It was 97 in the house and they had to do most of the work in the attic. God bless them. They were very nice professional young men! The A/C is back on!! I would highly recommend them.

Worse experience ever!We had three working bathrooms, two sink drains were running a bit slow, but were still functioning fine and not clogged. The sinks had no leaking anywhere. We thought it did not hurt to have these cleaned to prevent clogging. At the end of their services, we have no working sinks in all three bathrooms. We are left with clogged and leaking sinks.The technician told us that they would not be able to fix the leak resulting from snaking the drain. Rather than sending people who can fix the problem, we were told that the company would send plumber to give us a quote for the repairs. Leaving the inconvenience aside, we found it disappointing to see a company that do not stand by the quality of their service and do not make an effort to repair damages as a result of their services.To add to the frustration, the company never contacted us. I called them and was told that I need to pay $119 just for a plumber to come to take a look at the damages caused by their technician. This is getting too ridiculous.

A chipmunk made a nest in my ac and had wires for lunch. Addarios came to the rescue. I received text messages when they were on their way and a call from the service technician. He worked calmly and professionally throughout and kept me updated with his progress the entire time. So happy to have ac with a fourth day under heat advisory!

Brian came out and checked a problem with our mini split system. Took him a few minutes to determine the issue, offered a solution and quote then did the work quickly. He offered additional diagnostic of our other systems and helped me understand the problem. He professional and polite. The Addario dispatch service was helpful with text message updates so I knew when to expect the technician and they were able to be prompt. I think the cost for a simple top of up refrigerant was a bit crazy ($550 including fee of 149 to come diagnose) but Im glad to have the AC on again.

Been living out of apartments and hotels for almost 3 months because Addarios has had terrible record keeping and communication about our project. People call with zero knowledge of work done or too be done, and weve been set back weeks now due to this.Once I would have said Yes, use them they are great. Now, my wife is at wits end and my houses project is massively behind time and over budget. Please, do not use them for a large project, or at least stick to small stuff.

I was very disappointed with this company. I tried contacting them via email to resolve my issue and they never responded. I tried using their online form but it wouldnt submit. I had them out here to fix my condensor. They said on the phone it was $129 consultation fee. What they didnt tell me is that doesnt tell me what the problem is. After an hour, they had actually identified and fixed the issue. it was the capacitor (normally no more than a $200 repair). When they told me it was going to cost me over $500 to fix plus the consultation fee, i said no thank you. They said it was then going to cost about $500 for the diagnosis (about $350 plus the $129 consultation fee). I was outraged as they never told me about any additional cost to diagnose the issue. I was in the middle of work and late for a meeting so my choices were pay $500 for nothing or $650 for the fix so I paid and tried following up with the company after and never got a response. If they had told me there was an additional diagnostic fee i would probably have shopped around more and not used them.Update 5/28: They did respond to me this week. They apologized for the delay and were very responsive to my complaint. I did speak with Karen there. She was very nice and helpful. She provided a $229 refund to help resolve the issue and explained they needed to update their site to be more detailed about what they include with the consultation vs. a proper diagnosis.

We called Addarios because a bird had nested in our dryer vent. While booked for that day, they said they would call with any cancellations - and they did - twice!! They came when said they would, earlier in fact, and got to work assessing the issue. The technician verified the vent was clear and nothing was still living there. He then took it apart piece by piece and cleaned it out. He also installed a cage to go over the vent to prevent this going forward. We couldnt be happier with the work and feel better this was handled by a professional. Thank you again Addarios!

We wanted to add a dehumidifier to our existing system in our small apartment. Addario showed up promptly and shared their thoughts about the setup. They felt that the unit would not fit in the space very well and would compromise the usability of our walk in closet. In a word, it would be doable, but we would be unhappy with the result. They recommended purchasing a freestanding dehumidifier instead. We appreciate their honesty, courtesy, and helpful advice. We recommend Addarios Services to anyone and will keep them in mind for our future plumbing needs.

Darren was fantastic! He and his partner John were on time, prepared, and respectful of our property. Both came in with masks and put on shoe protectors. They worked quickly while cleaning up after each step. Darren explained the work they completed, as well as what I could expect over the coming days based on the age and type of water system in our home. We had a new Sink, faucet, and garbage disposal installed and Darren and John neatly removed and disposed of the old sink, faucet and disposal. Would highly recommend and plan to have them back in the coming weeks to replace an aging hot water heater.

We had used Addarios over the summer to convert our heating system from half oil half gas to all gas. We had a very awful experience with our first few visits, but Raul restored our faith in us calling the company back for future projects because he was very kind, respectful, and thorough. This time around, we had to have a water filtration system put in, and I was very worried about who we were going to get based on our very first job that was done. We had Darren as our technician, he was so amazing that I do not think Ill have any anxiety about having to call Addarios for future work, as long as I know I can have either Darren or Raul as the technicians. Darren went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the work. I didnt give the company five stars based on my very first experience, but if I could give Darren or Raoul alone 5 stars I would. SO my advice is if you call Addarios, definitely have one of them be your main guy :)

Plumber Arty arrived on time and prepared to do the work requested once determined what was needed. He fixed an unknown (behind the wall) shower leak quickly and efficiently. Spent $18,000 for a new central air system and had nothing but problems with Addarios services. First issue was I paid for a dehumidifier system to be added $600. This was never done and I only found out when inspecting the system. Second the tech that measured my house for its cooling needs was incompetent which led to the system that was installed was way underpowered for my home requirements. Also after the install they left trash all over my yard. Modified my attic access and failed to modify the attic cover leaving a gapping hole into my attic. Addario’s services rather then admitting fault told me they needed to add another register to my living room. This did nothing and my home was still only able to cool to 78 degrees while running nonstop. After having a bigger unit installed the living space was still unable to cool. Finally was able to have Addario’s services admit that they failed to install another register since again they failed to calculate the living space correctly. My $500 window ac performed better then the $18,000 system. While dealing with the owners they used intimidation tactics to attempt to get me to drop the issue. This involved calling me a liar, sending Facebook messages to my wife for me to remove reviews and delaying tactics. This all took place over 2 months and involved at least 8 site visits. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They charge for what they state is excellent service but deliver horrible service and even worse customer support. When I told the owner that I was going to have another company inspect their work as I highly suspect they cut corners and that their are still issues with the system the response was to become hostile and state that if I did so they would terminate their warranty on the system. They sold me a dream and were quick to take my money but delivered nothing close to what they promised.

They have done several projects and estimates for me over the last 10 years always with the utmost quality and professionalism at all points in the process - this includes the staff members that answer the phone, the dispatch team that coordinates the service, the customer service team that follows up after the work, the consultants/sales consultants, the skilled technicians, and Steve Addario himself. I recently had a 24/7 emergency service call for a central air conditioning repair. The Addario team was there within 3 hours late on a Friday afternoon. When Addario’s advertises ‘true’ 24/7 emergency service, Addario’s Service ‘truly’ lives up to its reputation of impeccable service.

This had to be one of the worst experiences in my life! I am a 20 year customer of Addarios...never a problem,..until July 6th when I called to request service to install a new bathroom faucet. Well after making me an appt for 8 days later I found out I had to order the part from Home Depot so had to wait. I waited 2 weeks w/no hot water cause the old faucet was broken so had to shut off the water. Anyway finally on Monday the 26th I got an appt for Friday the 30th between 4:00 ad 6:00. That morning I got a call from a Christine telling me that they would not be coming to do my job that day! I told her if they didnt come I would never use Addarios again. She said no way were they coming because there were elderly people w/no hot water! Well I am in the same boat but when I told her that, she could care less so I hung up on her. A few minutes later Deb called back and said they would still come that day. I waited till 6:45 for a guy to come...he changed the faucet and charged me $700 to replace that faucet. Also a $200 consultation charge for no consultation. Im lucky he honored my Senior Discount sand got $100 off in coupons. But the fact remains that I paid almost $600.00 to switch out a faucet that I SUPPLIED! I tried to contact the company to no avail. Im just saying do not call Addarios if u have a small job no matter how many big ones u had before. I am so mad about being overcharged but what can I do except warn u about their unfair practices and not to use them. Maybe we could have worked this out if they had gotten back to me but as of now they have lost a 20 year customer and they took advantage of an elderly person because they knew how much I needed that water back after waiting a month.

Then I called Addario early this morning Anthony said I’m heading into there I’ll call you back in about an hour and I’ll set you up with a service call. 70 minutes later Debbie called said I’ll have Brian come out to you it maybe 7 or 8 tonite but he’ll be there. Addarios was great! They responded to my request within 30 minutes of submission. They were able to send someone out the next business day (submitted the request on a Saturday). Darren was very professional, he kept the workspace clean, and he was able to fix the problem quickly. He also gave some great advice on appliances (outside of scope for Addrios), where to find serial numbers for warranty information, etc.

I had 2 heating units installed. The first installation was flawless. The second installation was sloppy. I had to have them come back out multiple times to complete the job. Between the leaky pipes, unattached duct work to no heat on a brand new heating system. I was on the phone with office staff about my dissatisfaction. They refused to give me the owners name and number.

We had a major leak in our old heating system. Nick from Addario came out right away. Knowledgeable and friendly, he gave us our three options. We went with the replacement, and he got us in the schedule in 2 days! Did I mention it’s been the coldest days of the winter? Two days later we got our install. Darren headed a very efficient and knowledgeable team and they did a fantastic job! Thanks !!

My wife and I recently decided it was time to upgrade our 35+ year old boiler and 15+ year old central AC units. We werent able to consistently keep the house at a desirable temperature during the summer or winter, and we were paying sky-high utility bills for the privilege.We were introduced to Addarios at a home tradeshow a few years ago. We were impressed by the person we spoke with, and took their card. We had previously worked with other HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical companies in the area and had not been impressed. So when it came time to think about upgrading our major systems, Addarios was the first company we called.From the start, our installation consultant Andy was great. He was very knowledgeable about all of our current systems, their ages, and how they compared to modern offerings. There was zero pressure through the consultation process, and he made it easy to discuss potential installation packages to help us achieve the desired comfort level for our home. We ended up going with two major system overhauls - converting our gas boiler and domestic hot water heater into a real-time combination heating unit, and installing a new central HVAC system.We had 3 different teams working on the project - plumbing & heating, HVAC, and electrical. All were exceptionally professional, friendly, and did very high quality work. I have to give a big shout out to Raul, Anthony, and Arty (plumbing & heating), Hank and Pierce (HVAC), and George (Electical). They each took the time to talk to me about what they were going to do and why, and ensured I understood what was happening every step of the way.The final product was extremely clean and tidy (see pictures), and they stuck around to ensure some minor issues were taken care of (e.g., securing some of our ducts with braces because the increased air pressure of the new system caused them to buckle in/out when the system turned on and off). Multiple team members gave me their cards and told me to call them if there were any problems after installation was complete and they would ensure I was taken care of. I cant praise these guys enough - they are the gold standard you hope for but rarely get (and Ive been around the block with other installation teams).There were some scheduling challenges with the job and some deadlines were pushed from what we originally planned, which was frustrating. But a companys true colors show when something isnt going smoothly, and Addarios office team was always courteous and responsive, even after hours. Once they reset expectations for timing, they ensured everything stayed on track and the rest of the job went very smoothly.With our installation completed a week ago and the summer temperatures starting to hit the 90s, our home is a comfortable 69 degrees with 50% humidity at all times. Our hot water is endless, and the water in our sinks / showers get piping hot in less than 10 seconds. Were extremely happy with the final result, and would highly recommend Addarios to anyone looking for internal home improvement work.

We had just bought our house 6 months ago we’re not familiar with the Rinnai heating system. I was getting no heat or hot water. It was Saturday night. I called and they came out within 2 hours. They got us set up temporarily until the parts came in Monday. Darren was our repair person. We have three dogs and are elderly. He was wonderful with our dogs and patient with our confusion of the heating system. My husband is difficult to deal with sometimes because he had a stroke and throat cancer. It’s hard for him to communicate with him. Darren was wonderful and we felt very confident and assured with his work. I cannot recommend anyone better. We’re toasty warm with lots of hot water.Thank you, Darren.

Fast, Amazing emergency service! Heat was out they took one day to replace my unit. The technicians were very professional! Brian did a great job assessing the seriousness of problem with my furnace. The owner and advisor Mark were very attentive to the safety of my family as my unit was seeping carbon monoxide. They ensured we were warm for the night by providing space heaters additionally sitting down with us to go over financing. Patrick came out first thing in the morning to install my furnace in just one day! He was personable and friendly as well as knowledgeable. Above and beyond customer service from the dispatcher as well! I look forward to using Addario’s for future projects!

I had a remodel of my bathroom a few years ago.. the daughter came to my house promising me that my bathroom would be beautiful ... i then paid her $4000.00... Four months went by and i had to call them to see what was up... she then told me that i was next on their list.. they came and did a good job on my remodel, but they did make two wholes in the living room walls which they did repair.. a few months had passed and i noticed that mold was growing where the tub wall meets the tub.. the mold was under the grout. i called SEVERAL times speaking to a few different people. Joe, one of the sons, told me to try cleaning it..REALLY i am 60 years old and i know how to clean!! he then told me to send him a picture of it I did three times and he never got back to me.. NOW i find myself now having to hire another plumber to replace their grout and CORRECT the problem.. If this is what they think is good business. I WOULD NEVER tell anyone to use them as it was more of a hassle just calling them and NEVER hearing back!!! i just dont think its fair that after i pay them over $14,000.00 for a bathroom that i have to pay someone else to fix it!!!

From my initial consultation to the completion of the job, Addairo’s services exceeded my expectations. Marc arrived at the scheduled time to explain how a mini ductless air / heat system worked and what to expect. He answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable with the process. He checked my electrical panel and agreed with another company that I would need an upgrade as I had 3 added on panels which he told me wouldn’t be up to code. His knowledge of the product gave me the confidence to sign the contract and I am so glad I did!Next came John, the electrician to evaluate my electrical panel and order the needed supplies. Carmen and John spent an entire day to complete the upgrade, moving the meter outside to bring it up to code, adding outdoor grounds, new wiring and going room to room to mark each switch. They also had 2 other workers to complete the job. John returned the following day after the unit was installed and hooked up the electrical power to my unit.That brings me to Jeff and Anthony. I can’t even begin to tell you how they went above and beyond my expectations. I originally asked if the outdoor condenser could be put in the back of my house when two other men arrived to take measurements to order the needed supplies. I was told it had to go on the side of the house, not the back so I had to accept that. Fast forward to the arrival of Jeff and Anthony. When Jeff asked me where I wanted the condenser, I told him it had to go on the side of the house as I couldn’t have it in front of my stairs and certainly didn’t want it in the front of my house. I told him I would have liked it in the back of my house but knew it was to far away from the unit. He immediately told me it would be better in the back especially seeing the side of my sunroom has all windows. Then he told me there was a small problem changing the location as he would need extra wiring and that he probably wouldn’t be able to get it today but would get as much done as he could today and finish the job tomorrow. He made a phone call asking to have what he needed delivered today if possible and sure enough the needed supplies arrived. Jeff and Anthony told me they always want their customers to be happy and he was aware the temperature is supposed to be in the 80’s tomorrow. I am on oxygen and he wanted to stay as long as it took to complete the job. They worked from 8AM until after 9PM and didn’t leave until the unit was up and running!Hiring Addairo’s was the best decision I could have made and I highly recommend them. From their office staff arranging all the necessary appointments and email / text confirmation and welcoming me into their family to the men I mentioned in this review everyone Did an exceptional job.

On Thursday May 27th I had Addario’s services come out and clean my HVAC system. Brian and Gabriel cleaned all my vents and the outside AC unit. They did an awesome job and we’re professional. I highly recommend Addarios for all your air conditioning needs.

Mark from Addario’s Services in detail gave me the best informative, and accurate estimate for both a mini split, and for a ducted heat pump. Mark measured the rooms, and also measured the heating system for an accurate comparison reading. Customers leave 4 stars, but so far I’m leaving 5 for an outstanding Estimate.Heat pump works better with a small ranch, and going to have it installed once Mass Save gives me the Ok. Mass Save-$2,500 rebate with Good accurate, and precise estimate!I’ll update this 5 star review once I have the Bosch ducted air handler system installed with duct cleaning, duct sealing, and insulated all done at a fair price! So far so Good, I’d Highly recommend Addario’s Services!

Do not hire these guys!! They are overpriced and they under-deliver! They left me in the dust all winter long without insulation in my house after many re-schedules! Im not surprised that they are No longer associated with the Mass-Save program because they do not hold their end of their service agreements! They also quoted me an insane! amount of money to replace my oil heating units..(because I have a 2 family) that didnt even include getting rid of the old radiators- they said I would need to hire another company for that..the oil tanks as well..they did however promise family and friendship service if I were to choose them I would be part of their family. I got the job done for more than half the amount that they quoted me - from another company which included everything. The new units are a top of the line brand. Save yourselves some money and headaches ...run away from this company. Anyone but these guys! Also - as I scroll down on the reviews I see the names of people that work in the company that have given 5*s or what looks like -paid local guides its kinda like putting lipstick on a pig at this point....its also conflict of interest just to offset the 1* reviews. Im honestly not surprised... lots of bad companies do this. Addarios - remember the name to stay away from! Good day.
