Not someone to even write a review. However, I felt this needed to be reviewed so she can fix this issue for other people. I have been going here for three years. First, since day one the receptionist has been polite maybe one or two times. The doctor, she would never call at the appointment time, I would wait around my phone for 30 plus minutes. One day I did not even receive a call for my appointment and I called saying we had an appointment and they say she called. Nowhere in my phone was there a missed call/voicemail. Ended up being terminated from here because I had too many NO SHOWS. This urks me considering I always make sure I am available for the appointments. I was never notified I was even coming close to being terminated or how many no shows I had. I was completely blindsided when I called for my scheduled appointment. Absolutely do not recommend. Not to mention I never felt as though she cared for me.

Not only is Dr. Parvez the most respectful, considerate and empathetic psychiatrist I have ever had. But he has the best team around him. Specifically his receptionist Shirley. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this woman has been to me ( and I assume to all her other patients). Not only does she get things done in an efficient manner but also does it with a kindness and patience that is unmatched. There have been multiple times where she worked with me through difficult situations.Dr. Parvez and Shirley go above and beyond what any care provider has ever done for me. This totally makes the difference for me and if I ever were to move, I would without a doubt make the drive to them/ or continue to do telemedicine with them because they are that worth it to me! I am lucky to have found them and Silver Lining is so so lucky to have Shirley!!!

My last appointment was scheduled for 3:30- the doctor didnt call me until almost 5:00. I was at work and missed the call (because I was called over an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment). I got a call the next morning that I was being terminated from the practice for no-shows. I had had no-shows in the past, but was never terminated- I was only terminated when THEY called ME at the wrong time. They sent 1 of my prescriptions (as a courtesy but never sent the other that I desperately needed. INCREDIBLY unreliable. The receptionist has been rude and nasty every time I have spoken to her in my 2 years at Silver Lining Psychiatry. If you want to feel confident you will actually receive your medication and dont want to deal with a disrespectful receptionist each and every visit, dont waste your time- there are plenty of other psychiatrists in the area.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Super unprofessional staff and difficult to get into contact with.Dr. Parez was late to our appointment- mind you when booking I told them that this was during my lunch and while I understand things can run behind I was only allotted so much time. The courteous thing is to keep your patients updated. She then also stated I needed happier thoughts- mind you I’m calling because I was in a major depressive episode. While I did get back on medication which was the goal of the appointment when I tried to schedule my follow up I was GHOSTED. I tried multiple times and left voicemails, to which no one ever responded to.Which as a result had me COLD TURKEY on my medication. I had horrible repercussions during this cold turkey and it effected my life for weeks. Including hazy vision, vision loss, and headaches.Even now I’m still upset with how unprofessional this staff was. Especially after I had explained that working with psychiatrists was hard due to previous indents- seems to be a reoccurring theme in this field,It’s taken me forever to find a new doctor who had availability. Don’t waste your time here, not worth the hassle.

Dr. Sherin Parvez is my doctor and has been treating me since summer of 2019. I moved to Florida from California and needed a new doctor to prescribe my prescriptions as I had been diagnosed Bipolar then Schizophrenic then Bipolar then Schizophrenic by different doctors in California who just didnt care enough to take the time to diagnose me. First appointment I was very nervous because a doctor in California told me on my first appointment with him if you are that sick I should just have you institutionalized now right? So I was hesitant to even talk to her. Immediately I noticed how kind and welcoming Doctor Parvez was. She is very kind, patient, and gentle. She made me feel very safe and at ease within seconds of meeting her. At first I was hoping for just someone to prescribe me medicine in Florida for my Bipolar Disorder but after about 9 months with Doctor Parvez she gave me the correct diagnoses of being SchizoAffective. I feel so much happier and much more stable since then. She took the time and she did not dismiss me. During COVID she still gives me my monthly appointments over the phone and sometimes they are very quick but sometimes if I need her longer she stays with me. She is a very caring Doctor. She cares deeply for the wellbeing of her patients. I will continue to go to her because of all the doctors of any type Ive had in my life time Doctor Sherin Parvez is the one I feel safest saying anything to because she has created that safe space and atmosphere for me. This is one review I am so happy to take the time to write because she is the best doctor I could have ever asked for. -H. Jones

I have a severe Axis I diagnosis and finding a competent psychiatrist was a top priority when I moved to Orlando in 2015. I was connected with Dr. Parvez while receiving treatment at UBC and have been a patient of his since the end of 2015. I have always trusted his care and recover quickly when experiencing symptoms. I schedule an appointment and meet with him on a frequent basis so that we stay on top of the illness. The psychiatrist at Silver Lining Psychiatry chose a name which is consistent with the excellent, attentive care they provide. Just the decision to address mental health concerns can cause anxiety and stress. Dr. Parvez is accessable, professional and focused on the patient. Dr.Parvez and his incredible team in the front office set the standard for psychiatric care . While I have only been a patient for less than 90 days I can unequivocally say that this is a medical team that truly cares about their patients lives and well being .My wife actually found Dr. Parvez and Silver Linings shortly after the COVID stay at home order went into effect . After finding out I was unable to make an appointment with my psychiatrist of 7 years my wife called Silver Linings and after a brief conversation with the front office, she was able to secure a telemedicine appt. set for less than a week later .From the efficiency standard set by the front office scheduling appointments and coordinating with my local pharmacy to Dr. Parvezs very apparent and most genuine desire to prescribe the most beneficial medicine regiment, the standard for others to follow has been set.I would without hesitation recommend friends, family members, or those seeking a legitimate caring doc to speak with the team at Silver Linings. Still isn’t done actually so maybe I’ll have to call again tomorrow. Psychiatrist didn’t look at my previous doctor’s notes and instantly said I needed to up my medication And try new drugs with no basis or reasoning. I declined. Very weird experience. Psychiatrist doesn’t seem to know a lot about the medications prescribed. Wish I could get into details but there was a lot of ignorance here but it was the only place that would see me without a primary physician. I’m from out of town and decided to give it a shot and regret it already. Be very careful before you decide to go here as a lot of the doctors advice could have been dangerous as she wanted to up my dosages.Edit: Doctor said she cant move my prescription from walgreens to publix for some reason. Now I have to see another psychiatrist to make this happen. Why wasnt this disclosed before hand? Its 1000 usd for this medication at walgreens and 30 usd at publix. In addition to this fiaso they cancelled my appointment a week from now and moved me to another timeslot a MONTH later and in a completely different city. Insane. Avoid at all costs.

Most unprofessional. Front office staff is just so uncouth at behaving professionally or even courteous. It is a disgrace. Will even say- can even see the experience being detrimental to a potential client. The medical staff here needs to be made aware of this. Upon calling to communicate with one of the practitioners ( I barely had a chance to meet some of the staff here) I discovered the individual was no longer practicing at said facility. This obviously came as a surprise, barely knowing the place. More concerning, though, was that the front desk person did not even inform me about it. Very little information was given. Best one could get over the phone was a quick and snappy so and so does not work here anymore. Upon inquiring into a new appointment, or asking about a referral to a new practitioner with the place, I was hung up upon. (??) Personal problems on behalf of front desk staff has no place in a setting like this. (Or anywhere really.) This was for a routine telephone call/inquiry. Trying to schedule an actual appointment was looking like a grim prospect by this point. There was no provocation. Really out of the blue and unwarranted. It was a mere medical inquiry made upon the office staff. Front office staff person will not be named. Its not about that. This is a very unprofessional manner.I would like to update this review. In the light of the pandemic, patrons will want to see courtesy, professionalism. What is needed is someone to take charge here. It is strongly suggested that office staff be better screened, thereby making the customer, the patrons feel welcomed and cared about. It is sad to acknowledge sheer ineptitude of front office staff.

When I went in for my most recent appointment, after not going for several months because of my poor experience, I finally decided to go to get a ESA letter, they tried to force prescriptions onto me after denying them several times and told me it would cost $100 ONTOP of my copay and whatever the insurance company paid for the appointment. This is a very poor business practice because most of these psychiatrist are being paid upwards of $100 per hour by insurance and I was only there for 15 minutes and Im asking her to spend 5 minutes of her times writing a 2 sentence letter and have had nothing but problems. I went to my boyfriends psychiatrist and had my letter in less than a hour and only paid my copay for the appointment. They tried to tell me a additional $100 for the letter plus 3-5 business days. These guys are a joke. Avoid at all cost.

I did not have an opportunity to go to an appointment here. After scheduling the appointment the secretary called to confirm the appointment, during this confirmation she informed me that my newborn would not be able to accompany me to the appointment despite the appointment being for PPD. I said okay, then I need to cancel the appointment, do I need... And she said OK. And hung up on me. I was trying to confirm that my medical records which I sent to them would be shredded/I would not be charged but instead she just hung up on me. When attempting to call back shed just answer and hang up without even saying hello. To answer the phone. Stay away from this office .

I have only been seeing Dr. Parvez for a short time, but in that time, she made me feel heard and she walked me through my options and spent a lot of time doing so. After years of being told this or that and feeling like there has to be something that works, I am finally feeling some relief. In the first few weeks I was taking my prescription, Dr. Parvez upped my dose and I had a reaction. I immediately called the office, within an hour she had my previous dose called into the pharmacy and I was good to go.So far so good!

Ive seen two different doctors here and felt rushed and not taken seriously by both. I approached both about wanting to get a diagnosis/evaluation on a lot of personally concerning symptoms and was told I seem like a normal happy person by one and asked existential questions and showed the door by the other. They rush you out in 10 minutes or less and just refill your Rx. Dont go here if you want anything beyond that. The front desk staff was consistently rude as well.

So my visit to the oviedo office location....Ive been struggling with anxiety for time time now so even going I was nervous but I came across people who made me feel like we have been friends for years starting with Jacob at the front desk who is very easy to talk to all the way to DR Donna, who is the NP which is very nice and answers all questions I had while she took the extra few min to get to know my situation and me not like most that rush you out the door with meds they make it very easy to come back and feel very confident in my ability to overcome anxiety!! A++

The lady at the front desk with giant mole on nose was extremely rude and difficult for no reason.....it was so bad i decided to walk out instead of give them my business and mind you I’m usually a very laid back person. Long story short do yourself a favor and go somewhere else...anywhere else.

I have been attending for close to a year now, and it is easy to say Dr. Parvez changed my life for the better. Quick and incredibly accurate diagnosis, little to no wait time, competent staff, and very friendly. Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt, I honestly have nothing negative to say. Dr. Parvezs accent can be tough at times to understand, but does not pose any issue.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Absolutely terrible. Receptionists are incredibly rude and sigh whenever they answer the phone. The male Dr I had made me feel like an IDIOT and would look at me weird. I suggest he gets new hair product to fix his balding problem before he tries to fix anyone else problems. DO NOT GO HERE!!! xx

Seriously if you need help and are hurting find another place, you may hear things like you need to grow up when you explaining how truly suicidal you are. Or if they say your appointment is at a different time then you had written down I will squeeze you in but only if you dont have any problems.

Dr. Parvez is always very patient and kind with me. Ive been going here for a few months now after my last psychiatrist retired and was worried about building a relationship with a new doctor, but she makes me feel very comfortable and always assesses my needs.

Terrible staff, and uncaring doctors. I was informed that I was to be backcharged a large amount of money for therapy that I was not receiving, unless prescribing medications and shuffling me out the door as quickly as possible can be considered a therapy session. When I asked the front desk why I was being charged, she said she didnt know and I should ask the doctor. When I asked the doctor, she said she didnt know and I should ask at the front desk. She was nice enough to offer her services as my therapist though, which was funny at least. The front desk then said I needed to call the billing manager. The billing manager waa rude and defiant and finally dropped the bogus charges after a week of phone tag. I also didnt appreciate being lied to and told that there suddenly wasnt any availability until the next year when they decided to drop me. If you like being treated like a walking credit card and bubbles on a multiple-choice form rather than a person then 10/10

I was to become a new patient and I set up and appointment but unfortunately I was unable to make it. I received a reminder phone call from the receptionist Shannon on Wednesday 10/09/18 @ 2:51, As I was trying to reschedule I noticed that her tone was very rude and annoyed. When I asked Are you annoyed that you have to speak with me? because you sound very disturbed that you have to help me with my reschedule, When she replied she was very disgusting in her response for lack of a better word. Needless to say this staff has ruined this facility and I will not attend. People come here to seek aid with stress in there lives and to recievce horrible treatment from staff is quite unsettling. Lost a patient for life.

Dr. Parvez saved my life.I was baker acted several years ago due to suicidal thoughts. I suffer from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I have seen creatures walking around my room, shadows of figures behind doors, in mirrors, next to me, etc. Ive heard voices since I was kid, and have seen ghosts and demons since I was 6 years old (born 1989). Around 2016, I decided I had enough of the suffering, having seen multiple doctors and getting terrible results every time. It was time to end my life. Dr. Parvez was my designated psychiatrist when I was in the mental hospital (from the baker act, I mentioned earlier). He was rushed, because he had many patients to see that day, but he took the time to listen to my story, and he immediately gave me meds that was able to help me.Ive been seeing Dr. Parvez for roughly 3 years now (I wrote this review in 2019). I have my job back (I lost it around the same time I got baker acted), as a programmer. My family is less stressed out by my presence, and Im content with every day-to-day living. Im rebuilding lost/old relationships.I still have episodes, now and again, HOWEVER, they are *nowhere* near as intense, and they last for minutes, instead of days/weeks/months.I want to live the rest of my life, now. I want to continue programming, eventually become a teacher, and then a professor late in my life. If I had taken my life, and never met Dr. Parvez, I wouldnt have the dreams, goals, love, content-ness, and stability that I have now. This is the first review Ive ever written. I saw that Silver Lining Psychiatry only had ~2 or ~3 stars. When I read the reviews, I noticed many people that just want to be heard, and want/need the help theyve been longing for, like me. All I can say is, I know its frustrating; I know its painful; I know what it feels like to feel misunderstood, and not get the treatment you expected -- but please, *please*, remember -- Dr. Parvez, and everyone at Silver Lining Psychiatry WANT to help you.Give every doctor and secretary *multiple* chances before writing a review. If you write a review on first impressions alone (which many people seem to do in these types of review apps), then youre not really providing the community with an in-depth review of the service you are attempting to use.The secretaries and doctors are human, too. They will have bad days. They will have people yelling at them, and then expected to wear a smile on their face after these encounters. Their job in mental health is HARD and DIFFICULT. Please dont judge them so quickly. These people are trying the best they can, with what resources they have.Thank you, Dr. Parvez, and the rest of the crew at Silver Lining Psychiatry. Without you, I would not be alive today, and I would not have been able to leave this review for everyone to see you guys are awesome.Thank you for saving and giving my life back to me.Regards,CarlosP.S. I apologize for any grammatical errors -- I am a programmer after-all, hahaha.
