Went to checkout a car they had out front for sale. Young lady who assisted me was very nice. Not trashing on the place but it looks like its a salvage car lot. Not for me but I guess it depends on your situation.

Tried to elevate the price because of the car I was driving had two estimates from surrounding auto body shops prior which all explained the same exact process. But These guys wanted 1000 more. Beware especially when they start talking foreign then look at you and laughs while saying this is going t be expensive .

I was in Winston-Salem for the day this past Saturday, about to head back to Raleigh, when something on the bottom of my car starts scraping the ground. I called around to try to find an open mechanic to take a look. When I spoke to Franks Garage to try to explain the situation, they said to just bring it by real quick. I pulled up, he told me and my mom to wait in the office, 5 min later he came back and said it was all handled (he just had to remove a cosmetic piece of plastic the manufacturer puts on). I asked how much I owed him, he said he wasnt going to charge me!!Obviously, dont take your car there if you EXPECT free service. But I just feel that was indicative of the way this man runs his business- with integrity and honesty. Hes not just going to charge you because he can, like a lot of mechanics do.

I had a great experience with them. They were efficient, quick, and polite! I needed a front wheel alignment and the ended up doing a full for the price of just the front. I would definitely take my services back there

Took my car for an alignment and so far so good. Everyone was very polite. I played a few games of candy crush (maybe more ha) and it was done. Cheapest shop in winston-salem. Just note that you have to drive all the way in to see anyone. I wasnt going far enough and thought it was closed. Thank you Frank.

We are so thankful for Frank! We started to overheat during a long road trip and luckily pulled off the highway almost right into his garage! Knowing we were far from home and had 4 kids in the car, Frank took such good care of us. He gave us a cool place to wait with cold water. He stayed on the phone until he knew the part was on the way and his mechanic, John fixed our problem very quickly knowing we were waiting with kids. Get a complete price quote before any work is done to your car. Friend was quoted for one hour of work but charged for two. They wont have my business. Also, their ratings seem artificially inflated. Ten of the 5-star reviews posted on the same day (11/13/2018).

Warning do not purchase a vehicle from this place or have this person do any work for you. This is a real experience that Im about to post here. We purchase a vehicle from Franks garage even though we knew it was a wrecked vehicle and it had a salvage title we expected the vehicle to have been repaired properly and safely. This was not the case within the month of the purchase of the vehicle the brakes begin to squeal and grind. I took the wheel off and found that the brake calipers were rusted and that the brake pads and rotors were worn out to the bone. This was both the rear and front brakes. In addition to finding this out we also discovered that Frank garage put a bad paint job on the car which is now cracking and can be rubbed off easily. We have been finding multiple smaller problems that was hidden by the dealer as well as he sold us a jack to the car that was bent and is unsafe. With all that being said the real kicker to this is I just discovered that he had put a worn out serpentine belt on the car. Depending on how hard it will be to change the belt this could turn into a great expense. All That Glitters Is Not Gold heed the warning when it comes to purchasing a car or having a repair done at Franks garage.

Really a bad place to alignment the guy try to find a excuse about his bad work, and telling me is another thing thats why alignment is not right and i have to pay more!!! i took my vehicle to Shattalon Tire & Automotive, Inc and never have a problem no more with the alignment they do the right work!

Franks Garage is very affordable, fair and they are very honest people. My entire family brings their vehicles there for service and have bought cars from them. They have a very talented and friendly staff.

Frank bent over backwards for me just to get me back on the road, very understanding he stood late trying to finish my truck and another car 3 days in a row . I brought him a used part just to save money bought part was defective. Even though you get what you pay for is something some dont realize, Frank went the extra mile and made sure my truck was right at no extra cost to me. I appreciate the extra hard work and showed him my appreciation with a little extra in his pocket even though he refused I still made sure he was paid for his time and dedication. Went in for the $25 oil change and brake work. They striped the bolt for the oil change which caused issues with sensors and almost caused a blown engine . ILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN NOT EVEN FOR A TRICYCLE REPAIR
