Republic Services charged me for a month and a half of service that was not rendered. It took over a month to just have the trash can delivered to me. I had to call more than seven times to have trash can delivered and over a dozen times to have bill corrected. I dont even know if its corrected now. Every time I talk to customer service I am told that the issue will be corrected and it never happens. I will say that at least customer service is very pleasant to speak with. However, it seems like their hands are tied and they are unable to correct have the issues. I have been told that a manager will reach out to me about the issues. Yet only 2 out of the multiple calls has a manager reached out to me. If Republic Services was not the only company that picked up in my area I would not use them. I feel like I should cancel my service and take trash to dump myself. I have trash from two weeks that has not even been picked up. I can see why they have a 1 star review status. If I did not have to rate at least 1 star they would not get that. Again thank you to the Customer Service Reps who did everything they could to help but just had their hands tied and could not do anything without a manager. To the Managers and to the Owner you need to fix your issues right away. When I ran major companies and customers received this type of service some heads would be rolling. The lack of management and customer service is horrible. Waste Management please start picking up in my area I know lots of customers who would switch in a heartbeat.
Standard weekly residential pickup. They regularly leave the can up-emptied. If you have a complaint, expect to be on hold for 30-45 minutes before you speak to someone, and then all the company will do is schedule a pickup the next week. This has happened multiple times and they have not once done the scheduled re-pick. The service is not reliable.
I have called 4 - 5 times over the last month to cancel the service at a property where our lease has ended. They have been non-responsive, and not helpful in having the dumpster removed. After multiple conversations, I have been told no one can transfer me to the local rep and that the local rep is the only person that can cancel business service. I was provided an email to the local rep and have sent her an email. I recommend never using this company.
Started service in May of this year (2020). In June, without any reason, our trash was skipped over on our pickup day (Tuesday). Our account was current and everyone else in our cul-de-sac had their trash picked up except for us. Called office, was never given a reason why, and was told issue was ESCALATED (their favorite word). After my wife and I called for 3 days straight, a truck was finally sent out and emptied the cans. We were still charged our renewal fee afterwards.Today (7/23/20), my wife, who is at home recovering from a car accident, calls and says someone from Republic Waste in a white pickup truck came in our backyard and removed both of our cans without leaving a notice or any notification as to why. She called the office - was told no one should have picked up our cans for any reason, much less went in our backyard to do so. Customer service rep said she ESCALATED (again) the issue and we should have a response within 24 hours (not acceptable). In the meantime, we have nowhere to put our trash until the cans are HOPEFULLY returned.The service with this company is poor and for us to have had 2 issues already in the 2 - 3 months we have had service is not only ridiculous but very frustrating
Had to give one star because no stars wasnt an option! Lousy service! They missed my pick up, then told me every day for a week they were coming and didnt! Then on the next scheduled pick up day, they still didnt show up! Called the county. TERRIBLE!
Just not what I was expecting. My bill was not what it was supposed to be. Then they tried to pressure me into a contract.
If I was able to give a negative -1,000 stars, I would. They missed multiple pickup dates, still want to charge full fees, they will charge you to bring a can and if you cancel the services, and they will charge you $30 to pickup their can. The customer service people are rude and lack understanding of the term customer service. In all honesty, its better to team with another home and have your garbage taken to the landfill. Bills are mailed out after the due date so a late fee can be applied if you do not participate in auto payments. Cant trust you will billing why would i trust you with my credit card? This company is NOT RECOMMENDED!
Why are we paying full price for services that don’t deliver...or shall I say pick up? The truck is always being serviced. My recycling hasn’t been picked up in a month. Sometimes the trash truck just drives by my can. There’s nothing around the can so it should be obvious. C’mon...if you can’t pick up on time, cut us a new lower price.
This has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. It darn near impossible to get a hold of them. I have spent hours and hours on hold with them and have not been able to get a hold of someone. I finally did one day to cancel service (only took me 4 or 5 call ins and several hours worth of hold time). So first they tried to charge me for garbage cans I never had, I opted out because we had our own. Now I am once again, on hold because they are STILL trying to charge me for service I havent even received! I never got a single piece of mail but today i got a final notice for service that was after my cancel date. I have currently been on hold for an hour... I am so pissed with this place. Worst nightmare company I have ever experienced.
This is the most ridiculous company on Earth. Seriously they will not get your trash even if you pay every month on time. You have to call several times just to do what you already pay them for. They will reschedule you an emergency twenty four hour pick up and miss it too. But dont worry once you have called five times they will give you a whole four dollars back. They also act like its your fault they are not doing there job. This is stealing literally and miss representing.
By far the absolute worst customer service from a corporation Ive ever experienced. Promises for pick up were never scheduled (due to an internal coding problem)....not once but FOUR SEPARATE TIMES.
There fees and prices change monthly, beware of signing, its a 3 year contract, if you terminate youll be require to pay 6 months upfront for theyre so called damages. This review is for garbage service for businesses. They will squeeze every dollar out of you with all these random fees
I contacted Republic Waste Services several times toward the end of 2010 about reducing our bill by limiting the number of times our dumpster gets picked up. After a couple of months, nothing was done. I asked Faye, a sales rep from Republic, if they could pick up the dumpster and she informed me that we were still under a three year contract, which was signed by a former manager. She said the contract would finish on June 15, 2011. I continued to pay so my company, Hello Wireless, would not incur any penalties. On October 24, 2011 I called back to have Republic pick up the dumpster and Faye informed me that I should have sent them something in writing 60 days before the contract was finished. Republic has a clause in their contract in tiny little type print that says it automatically renews for another three year term. At this I was very upset and told Faye to pick up the dumpster. It disgusts me that Faye never even mentioned any word about an automatic renewal on the several times I spoke with her. We have since then received a letter from Republic’s attorney asking us to pay $802.41 for breaking the automatically renewed contract early. I think this business practice is at best shady and at worst just criminal. I have dealt will all kinds of businesses and have never heard of a “contract automatically renewing”. I even spoke to their sales manager, Andy Braman and he said this practice is used by all the major waste companies. I responded by saying not all companies, because I was able to call Best Disposal out of Lexington, NC and have them simply drop a new dumpster in the place of Republic’s dumpster, no questions asked.Gus LundStore Manager for Hello Wireless
Poor customer service! Consistly inconsistant. Calls bounce from one telephone room to another and you get no answers. HORRIBLE!!!

Worst service I have received in any industry. Been a customer for 3 months and they have missed 6 pickups. No follow through from management, they will not even call me back. Find someone else; these guys dont care.
