We had a bad experience with someone we hired to redo our boat seats on our pontoon and lost a good bit of money. I knew that I could have just tossed the old boat seats and bought ones pre-made with the generic designs but I had my heart set on something custom, even after loosing over $2k from the previous person that we hired. Allen was recommended to us by a friend so we set up an initial meeting to review everything we needed/wanted. I knew at the first meeting that Allen knew his stuff and I felt confident that we had picked the right person so we dropped off our pontoon seats and Allen went to work.As it turned out, this was more of a project than what we originally thought but Allen didnt let that stop him. He had to redo almost all of the foam in most of the seats, which to my understanding, is very intensive and tedious work. Nonetheless, Allen didnt disappoint. He didnt take any shortcuts and did an amazing job on not only the foam work but also on my crazy ideas for the designs.My dad passed away last summer and I knew I wanted something on the boat in his memory. Allen worked with me to create a custom embroidered, hand stitched design that will honor my dad for years to come and is exactly what I was looking for.In addition, I had a vision in mind for the deck seat on the back of the pontoon that involved raising the back of the seat some so it could be a lounger. Allen didnt bat an eye at this request and ended up custom building the frame that was needed to create this type of seat and it turned out better than I could have hoped for.If you need any sort of upholstery work, for any type of project, I highly recommend Allen Hutchins for the job! Weve had so many compliments on our pontoon seats because you just dont see custom designed seats that look as good as the work Allen did. I plan to have Allen do the upholstery in my Convertible Mustang Shelby GT500 next and cant wait to see what he can do with those next! I cant say thank you enough to Allen for all of your hard work, many hours, and patience through the whole process!

I had a leather chair redone it looks great!! it looks better than the original leather that was on it. He really did a great job. I was surprised when he called and said it was ready. It only took a couple of weeks. I couldnt believe he had finished it that quick because it had buttons that had to be put on it as well. He is the best! I would definitely recommend him for any upholstery needs.

I had Allen create new custom seats for our limo golf cart and wow. He done an amazing job. He has so much attention to detail. He done a lot of double diamond stitching that married up to a solid section and every single spot is exactly the same from one side to the other. I don’t believe most people would have paid that much attention but Allen sure did. Thanks again Allen for the great work.

Allen did an outstanding job on my six dining room chairs. He recovered chairs passed down to me by family. The finished seats are tight (no sag as before) and positioned perfectly. I highly recommend Allen and will return to him with more projects, especially family heirloom pieces. He is very accommodating and delivers on his promises! It is hard to find an upholsterer of his caliber these days.

Mr Hutchins did an amazing job with our lamp shades. He was not put off by our random project, and took the time to do this unique job right. The fabric is lined up perfectly, despite lots of curves and patchwork, and now the shades look just as good as the originals. We are so pleased with the results and will definitely use him again!
