Outstanding experience for kids. Taekwondo is one piece of the puzzle. Mr Defranzo care for the kids and show them respect. Through that he teaches them values and discipline. Priceless for kids.

Our 3 sons have been Toms students for over 5 years. Not only are they learning Taekwondo skills and discipline, but Tom has been an important mentor and role model in their lives. This review deserves 10 stars!

Our 2 boys have been with Tom Defranzo (affectionately known to his students and families as Sir) for the past 4 years. The focus is on perfecting the skills of traditional tae Kwon do, but he also weaves in lessons about leadership, courage, respect for self, family and community. Sir considers his students and their families his family and when a student earns their first belt he says, welcome to the family! Emphasis is on being part of the team and supporting each other but students learn at their own pace.Tom has been known to keep his school open on the nights of dances and formals for his students who dont attend but want a place to hang out. He is a champion of all children but in particular those with unique needs.His summer camp for students is remeniscent of camp we as adults attended as children with days filled with board games, kickball, a killer poker tournament, and 2 hours of Tae Kwon do and time for reading. He encourages and role models a love of learning and for books.We are so grateful for his influence in our childrens lives and when our daughter turns 5, she will be part of Sirs martial arts family!
