Ned Stevens recently installed gutters and downspouts on my newly rebuilt porches (3 levels, triple-decker). They give estimates on the phone, so no need to wait around for the estimator to come. They did a great job and the workers were very nice. There was one place I wasnt happy with where they placed the downspout and they came right back and fixed it, no questions asked. They also have an easy no-interest payment plan. I could not have asked for more!

Ned Stevens crews have recently performed excellent work on the gutters for our home.First, they were able to completely clean out our gutters which had been clogged for quite awhile. I was able to see that during a recent, very heavy rainstorm that the gutters were flowing properly with the rain water properly flowing into and out of the drains at the base of the house. During the storm, the gutters did not overflow as they had been doing previously. After the storm, the one gutter that I can see from a window in the house was completely clear of water.Second, they returned as scheduled a couple of weeks later to repair some downspouts and downspout joints (which they replaced with scuppers) that had been loose and/or leaking. They were able to send me a text message when they were on the way here, so that I was able to meet them outside to see them perform their work.

The gutters were full of soil, leaves and plants. The crew was exceptional fast, polite and quiet. They were gone 1/2 hr. after they started and did a fine job. Well worth the price. Ill use them again, soon. Mark

Ned Stevens was the first guy we called. Ned himself answered the phone, made the whole process easy; his price schedule is excellent, we signed for a service contract for our gutters but Im sure well use his services for windows and power washing, too. Great guy, great staff, Im thrilled that we found him!

We had a cleaning done by them and they inspected it, no issues. Called a few weeks after to get an estimate for gutter repairs for something that was happening for a while. They said they were to busy and had no one to come investigate the issue...Called again months after and the agent on the phone insisted that we needed a cleaning and then someone will inspect it to see the problem. We already did the cleaning... they already inspected it, why can’t someone just come in real quick to just have a look. Again she insisted it probably is a cleaning issue BUT WE ALREADY DID THE CLEANING and the problem wasn’t solved. They do not want to waste their time for someone to come out for a quick estimate, they just want you to pay for their cleaning

I am not a person who likes writing negative reviews. However, I have to share my terrible experience with Ned Stevens in MA. I wish you can read the review before making a decision.First, TIMELINESS: On Jan 6th, 2021 Ned Stevens called me for the gutter cleaning job I inquired at Home Advisor and arranged the service for me. The sales told me that they will come and the clean the gutter as soon as the weather permits. Nobody showed up in two weeks which had very calm weather (no snow or rain or gusts) I called back and was told that the gutter cleaning would be done until late February. I asked for the manager and got a return call from him: Weather permits means, not just the calm weather, it means 38 degree and above. Fortunately, he put me on a date on Jan 22nd which is above 38 degree. This 38 degree criteria is not disclosed by the sales, not shown on their website, not disclosed by the customer service. It is just the managers hidden policy.Second, PRICE: When the sales contacted me, I gave all the house information she asked: how many stories, the square footage, the year, the address and etc. The sales even checked the satellite image map of the house before giving me the quote of $480 with the first time customer discount. However, on the day when the gutter cleaning team showed up, I got a call from the manager that he can not honor the quote of $480 and had to charge me $700 for the job because my house looks beautiful. Later on he lowed it to $630 after my protest. What a bait and switch! $150 more only because my house looks beautiful?Third, QUALITY: I am attaching a picture I took on the day they finished their job. You can see needle and leaves still in the gutter. They put the leaves in the trash bags and left them on the curbside in a town without curbside trash collection.I am a first time customer of Ned Stevens and will probably be the last time customer too. The only thing they brag about is that their workers have insurance. Ned Stevens may have better service in other states but not in Massachusetts.

Our gutters were full of lots of pollen. Not only did they clean the gutters, but washed off all the pollen that fell down on my deck, deck stairs, and our walkway. Our property was immaculate after the service was performed. All debris picked up and bagged. The job they do is perfect.

The two workers that Ned Stevens Company sent were wonderful!They were polite, worked steady together and had the job done in less than a half hour.They cleaned up all the debris, bagged it all and took it away for me as well.I will definitely recommend this company to everyone as they did a great job!Glad I found this company on line.Will be using them to clean the gutters going forward.

This business cleaned the gutters in my home when I moved in 5 years ago. I called to have the gutter cleaned again, they had the house on file, quoted me a price and told me they would be out within a week. A few days later I received a text stating they were on the way to my house, and then shortly after I received another text stating that there was a problem and they would call me back. The next day I received a call stating that they were declining the service because my roof was too high. They indicated their safety standards changed, and they could not service me roof. I spoke to Lewis and was dismayed because they had been out there before, and knew the parameters of the house - and that although I realize the roof is tall, it isnt higher than an average roof.Although I wasnt thrilled about the service not being performed as discussed, I am writing a bad review because Lewis was rude and didnt want to answer my questions about what changed in their service protocol that prevented them from working on my roof. Basically since they didnt view me as a potential customer, their tone and attitude really changed.

I originally booked with Ned Stevens in early July, for cleaning and repairing the gutters and downspouts on our two and a half story home. We provided the height and the square footage of the home and noted which downspouts had come off. After a lengthy conversation and several attempts at an up-sell, we settled on a cleaning and repair service to be done within 1 week. The charge of $335 was quite a bit higher than prior gutter cleaning jobs weve had completed, but we had water coming into the basement from an overflowing gutter. No appointment date or time could be made per the rep. They simply indicated they would contact us when they were in the area and available. But I received an email that evening confirming the service to be completed, the service price and guidance that it would be completed within a week.A week passed by with no update or visit made. I called a few times the following week to ask for an estimated date of service and none could be provided. FOUR weeks after booking I received a text indicating Ned Stevens is on their way. Great! No more than 5 minutes later I received another text indicating they couldnt complete the service and to call for an explanation. I go outside and nobody was there. They never rang the doorbell, or called to let us know they were outside or what the issue was. I called their call center and they indicated they couldnt access our water for their hoses. Huh? I just had the sprinklers on the night before and the faucets were on. They couldnt provide any more detail, nor would they confirm a future service date. They indicated they would be back in the area soon. Beyond frustrating, not to mention dishonest.Another week passes (more than FIVE weeks since booking)... and another text. Ned Stevens is on their way. They arrive, walk around the house and start to walk back to their truck. I went out to offer them information on the location of the water for their hoses, etc. They proceed to tell me they cant perform the work because its too windy. Huh? We had the typical 5 MPH breeze at that time. He assured me he would be back in the morning. We walked the property and I pointed out the areas that we had discussed when booking with them.I received a call at a later date saying they couldnt safely perform the work on our home because their ladders wouldnt reach the gutters. WHAT? They claim their safety team declined the job. They knew it was a 2 1/2 story home when we booked the service. All of the gutters are at the 2nd floor height or lower. Weve used other gutter cleaning companies previously and the house has been painted several times. Height and ladders were never an issue for any of them! I even suggested how about cleaning what they thought they could safely reach? But they completely refused to do any of the work they had previously agreed to.After a lot of back and forth it became clear to me what was going on. They had determined the job wasnt worth completing given what they had quoted ($335.00!). Theyre beyond utterly dishonest, unprofessional and unreliable. To try to stand behind BS excuses of we couldnt access the water on the first visit, its too windy on the second visit, and then calling to indicate you cant safely reach the second floor gutters - versus simply admitting you undercharged a job is unbelievable. And to add insult to injury waiting 4 weeks to back out.Theyre a gutter cleaning company. They should be providing their employees with the ladders, the tools and the training to safely complete gutter cleaning for 2nd floor high gutters. Lots of gutter cleaning companies seem to be able to safely clean them. Theres a huge disconnect here. I would simply never recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware! We strongly suggest you look elsewhere!

First, they took forever to actually show up and do the job. I had to call at least twice to get them to show up. Then they tried to scam me. I signed up for one time service. Not a 4 times a year cleaning. They told me that they had audio tapes and proof. I asked them to produce it. They never did. They also told me that a second gutter cleaning was recently performed (that I didn’t authorize). When I checked my security camera, no second cleaning had been conducted. I called them and disputed the claim. They said they would once again provide proof after checking with the technician. Weeks later and of course no proof has been provided. Instead, they reported my account to the credit bureau as being “in collections”. Do yourselves a favor. STAY FAR AWAY FROM NED STEVENS. 100% scam.

I was very pleased with the two men they sent, as well as the excellent service they provided. The men worked quickly, climbing up trees and roofs to get to my gutters. They nailed the loose gutter, and replaced a section of downspout. I would certainly recommend this outfit to my friends....

The staff that came to clean our gutters were so friendly! They were very safe and wore hard hats. They also flush the gutters with the hose! I’ve never had my gutters cleaned so thoroughly!

We used them for mosquito and tick spray and we were very pleased with the service. Would highly recommend!

Only disappointment was how long we had to wait for service, as new customers. The crew eventually came but it was too cold to safely turn on the outdoor water supply, so they did a dry gutter cleaning. Next fall, Id like to get the gutters cleaned before its time to winterize the outdoor water supply.

The moss on my roof is still hanging on even after 3 weeks and a full week of rain(they claimed it would just wash right off with rain)

I used them twice in last 9 months. Once for gutter cleaning and once for gutter replacement.Both times the people who came in were very professional. Made sure to not damage my lawn. Carried away all the junk.The gutter replacement came with a year warranty. After a foot of snow next day I noticed some snow leaking from side of gutter (just before Christmas)It was day after Christmas they immediately dispatched a crew to take a look, despite it being cold (~38F) and a Saturday. (The snow had melted though by now). On inspection and checking photos of problem they concluded it might be just ice dam from a foot of snow, but regardless tightened everything with more screw on all side. Also unclogged the outlet a bit.They take great pride in their work and I am very happy with the service so far.-Norfolk MA resident.

Hi I used Net Stevens gutter cleaning at end of last year. I got a report after that mentioning some part of the gutter in my house needs to be replaced. The team came to my home yesterday. The leader of the team is Yoldy. He is a very nice person. they did gutter replacement in front, but for the back side, he told me I need a wider gutter(6) instead of the regular 5 gutter otherwise the rain will flow outside of the gutter and leak into the house, they did not have this 6 gutter with them. he promised that they will come back today with 6 gutter.This morning he did come back and replaced my gutter on the back side of the house. After the work, they cleaned everything. They did excellent work! Thank you Yoldy and your team very much!

They take your credit card information and dont come or they come when you dont need them to. They are useless. I doubt there is even a person Ned Stevens. Its a very unprofessional business with dishonest management. Do not give them your credit card. I would be suspicious of so many 5 star reviews. Not the way they operate. Doesnt add up.

Called up Ned Stevens to clean my gutters. 2 guys came out and flushed my gutters with the hose, but didnt actually clean anything. Called them up again to complain and ask that they do the job I paid for. Once again the came out, I pointed out where the issues remained and was told they would fix them. Once again they flushed the gutters but didnt actually clean them. Then could not reach them again, they just took my money.

I have had Net Stevens Gutter Cleaning company remove the leaves from our gutters for the last several years. We have a 2-story house with very high gutters. The people who came to do the work did a good job and their timing was good - they came soon after the leaves were pretty much all off the trees. The price was fair. I have Ned Stevens come every fall and every spring to clean the gutters on my house; they do an excellent job. Recently I had them come to do some gutter repair; they came on time, they worked efficiently, and completed the job and left. I was impressed, I hardly knew they were there.

I have a 3 story Queen Anne home, with gutters on each level. In addition to those gutters are heating cables to prevent ice dams and roofing leaks. Because of the height and pitch of the roofing I have only allowed roofing contractors to clean the gutters; until today. Ned Stevens gutter cleaning came to my house and not only cleaned the gutters, but inspected the roof and the functionality of the gutters and downspouts. They were very neat and professional, calling me later with a report on the roofing system.My heating cables did not get damaged (very important) and the gutters were spotless.I will continue to use Ned Stevens gutter cleaning and strongly recommend this company to anyone who needs gutter cleaning.

After a lot of searching, I found Ned Stevens to have the lowest price around, so I gave them a chance. Low price doesnt always mean, sub-par service though. 2 men showed up on time and did a very thorough job, these guys were pros. They were done in less than an hour, cleaned up after themselves and left. After a thorough inspection, i realized that they went above and beyond, cleaning around my sky lights, chimney, etc. I have a lot pf pine needles, that stick to everything. We have been using Ned Stevens for a number of years. We are very pleased with their work!

This November was my first connection with Ned Stevens services. My rain gutters were spilling over and I was thinking of getting them repaired or replaced. Since the Ned Sevens service, we have had 2 major rainstorms. The gutters now run well and do their intended job. In the past, my gutter cleaning services had removed leaves, but did not run water to test to troubleshoot any obstructions and problems. Based on their performance, going forward to next fall, I plan to request Ned Stevens do rain gutter cleaning, window cleaning, and cleaning of the vent from our clothes dryer.

If you want your home to have a brand new appearance, then Ned Stevens is the company you should call. Most of my home - vinyl siding - and surrounding vinyl fence were green before Stevens crew came on the scene. No need to worry about them burning through your vinyl as was done to mine by another company. Theres is a gently process which gets everything squeaky clean. They will certainly continue to get my business.

Im from New Jersey. I have been using Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning for over 25 years and never had a problem with them. They come when scheduled and if theres a problem with the gutters, they contact me right away. The staff on the telephone are always friendly and very helpful.

My gutters were filthy. I had two foot tall plants growing out of them. I also had older, broken gutter guards in the way. The crew from Ned Stevens were out to my house within two days of my reaching out and completed the job for about half what I was quoted by others. I just had a great experience with Ned Stevens last week. The two men that came to clean my gutters went over and above for me. I was outside blowing the leaves and acorn when they pulled up. They got out of their truck and brought out 3 gas leaf blowers. 2 for them to each use on my gutters/roof and one for me to use because it was more powerful than my electric one. After they finished with my gutters (which the did their usual great job) they both came over and helped me finish my front lawn with the leaves and wished me a Happy New Year. They didnt have to do that! They really went out of their way to help me and I really appreciate that! It’s wonderful to see that there are still kind hard working people around. I selected the annual service and I love it. It’s set it and forget it. I receive an email letting me know that the team is on their way, they work quickly and leave without a trace... except for the fact that I have clean gutters!

Crew came in to clean my gutters and replace my leaders that were damaged by snowplow. They came in cleaned the gutters with hoses and cleaned up after themselves by placing the debris in garbage bags that they placed at the end of my driveway. Outstanding service and will call them to clean out my gutters again next year.

We received quotes from many other companies and they were by far the least expensive option but also very good with customer service both before, during and after installation. Very surprised to see so many negative reviews. Our experience was great and the gutters are top quality.

A job well done. The bag of debris left by the road was not a problem. They left everything neat and tidy.

I definitely dont recommend this Company. My first cleaning a bag of debris was left on the street in front of my home split open (after I asked the crew to pick it up). I dragged it up the hill where it sat through the Winter till Spring. Second cleaning the debris wasnt even picked up, a big branch was on my front steps and debris all around. Third and fourth cleanings much the same. You get no heads up when theyre coming. The Crew I had didnt speak English. Forget about downspouts...thats not part of the work. If its clogged you wouldnt know until it pours rain. They bring no hoses or water and the Customer doesnt need to be home. Go figure! I did a better job myself and Im a middle aged woman!
