Great experience! I have been a Mac / Apple user for decades and have not had an experience that was as good as at Experimax. Jacob was my salesman and was perfect, he made it easy and enjoyable. I recommend both the store and Jacob highly, and I will surely return for my next computer needs.

This is the classiest PC (just Apple) repair shop Ive seen. The show room was very neat, modern and uncluttered.The staff definitely knew what they were doing and took their time explaining and working with their customers. Like everything Apple, the repair felt a little pricey ($150 for an IPad battery replacement). There is a 90 day warranty on repairs and refurbished Apples.The store is next to Dominos, but not visible from the road

Wow! These guys are great! I dropped my iPhone 8+ one too many times. There was no wait. I have waited 3 hours at the Apple store; and that was after driving to Northern Virginia. They fixed my phone in an hour. It’s perfect. They were really helpful with shopping and had reasonable prices.

AWESOME!! Experimax of Winchester, VA gave me an incredible deal on a 2017 iMac to replace my dying 2008 iMac. The 2017 model new wouldve been $2,500-3,000, and I got mine in practically new condition for $1,700. Jacob was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable, and he patiently and gladly answered all of my stupid, novice questions (Im not a computer person). I highly recommend this company for all of your Apple needs.

My wifes macbook pro was not turning on and I was convinced the charger itself gave out. I came in, they tested it and it charged just fine with my own charger!! Experimax had every opportunity to rob me into buying a new charger but they were totally honest and I walked away without buying anything. I appreciate that.

Great service for all Mac and iPhone products

The owner was so helpful and honest. My phones speaker hasn’t worked in over a year and when I brought it in, instead of going the expensive route and replacing the hardware he took a look and identified the issue as being too much dirt and dust build up. I was very happy to find this place and recommend everyone to go in for your electronic repair needs.

These folks were very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. They diagnosed my issue in 5 minutes, saying it was a common issue for my model. Who knew? They didnt even charge me for a consult, which is super helpful as I am not working and trying to move (although they do not know that). Great place. Highly recommend.

I’ve got the IPhone XR and so I went to have my phone screen replaced and so they replaced it once and it didn’t work that night properly. And so I went back again and got it fixed again and so they gave it back to me within an hour and so now there’s a line in the screen and my screen now freezes and I can’t touch it anymore. I have to turn my phone off and back on to do anything. And this isn’t even the first phone this has happened to. I had another Xr and they fixed my screen and it wouldn’t turn back on. I had to get a whole new phone last time. I don’t even know what to do at this point cause I can’t go get it fixed again I don’t have the money but I can’t continue with trying working with this phone. Also if you can’t find the first phone it will be under my grandmothers name if you need that name ask Butch he knows me personally and can tell you her name, I don’t want it on the internet for everyone to see.

Very knowledgeable staff. The recent Apple update to Catalina had rendered some of the other programs inoperable. The Experimax folks noted that some of the other program and anti-virus software providers would not be ready for the Catalina software for another 3 weeks, and were able to dig through my MacPro to enable Catalina to operate smoothly until the others could catch up. All while I waited in store and they were still able to assist other walk-in customers with their questions and needs. Great service.

What a great business! Today they saved me for the second time. First was a locked up iPhone and today A program on my PC installed improperly. Fast and courteous, my Go To for technical help.

Dylan was great, installed a new screen on my wife’s phone and put screen protectors on both mine and her phones for the same price most places wanted just to fix her screen.

I recently locked myself out of my iPad. I tried Verizon and Apple and they couldnt help me unless I took it to an Apple store. I checked locally and found Experimac and Im happy I did. They were able to unlock my tablet without any of my information being deleted. I highly recommend Experimac. They were very knowledgeable and the turn around was very fast.

The guys were super helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. They were able to replace my broken screen in about and hour for a good bit less than sprint wanted to charge me. Would 100% recommend & will definitely go back for any issues that come up with my phone.

Directed by my service provider as a quick option to get a phone, I bought a IPhone 6+ back in November 2017 at Experimac at 86 Featherbed Ln in Winchester VA. The owner Shane sold me the 6+ giving me the green light that it was tested and they had a 90 day warranty on it. I was excited even tho the phone itself was $380.00 dollars. It wasnt even a week until the phone had problems with people hearing me on it. Of course they fix it right away. Then a month later I had problems with the speaker where I couldnt hear people. Of course they fix it right away. Then a month or so later I had battery problems. They fix it without charge. They my 90 day warranty went out. I paid out of pocket to get the charging port fixed in March 2018 and then in April I paid out of pocket to have the antenna fixed (twice). The last operation didnt fix my phone. Today I went in and talk to Shane to see if he could do something. He told me no, and that the IPhone 6+ is known to have lots of problems. So MY QUESTION IS WHY DID YOU SELL IT TO ME???! Why didnt you stop me from spending even more money on it?! I am out of 380.00 + whatever the repairs were. Ive been to this store 7-8 times to have my phone fixed. Ill never go again and I will tell everyone to stay way

I took my iPhone in to have the SIM drawer repaired. Geek Squad couldn’t fix it, This place fixed it within 3-5 minutes & didn’t charge me a thing. My 1st experience here was great! OP: Very frustrated that I JUST had my screen repaired, bought a $50 case cover and had a screen protector after having it fixed, I pull it out of my bag and the screen is scratched and a nice crack in it. As the “rep” so kindly informed me “screens don’t just crack”...and I thank you for that observation, but I wouldn’t have come back in if I intentionally cracked the screen. Not to mention after I got it back the replacement screen was so bubbled it was a pain to swipe or type, which I let go because I had a phone again. Thankfully, I just upgraded to a new phone. But, the reps attitude was poor and the lack of customer service did not entice me to come back.Updated response to your reply:Dear Shane, thank you for the response back, however; 1) perhaps, staff should clarify regarding warranties etc as nothing was disclosed when I originally dropped the phone off regarding this nor when I picked it up, hence why I took time out of my day to come back in. If i had known to begin with this “damage” would cost another $182, I would’ve gone about my day.2) If I don’t feel like the person I’m dealing with is even remotely responsive or interested in trying to help me resolve an issue, then I’m not going to continue the conversation. Verizon was the one who originally helped me get to you all in a pinch! Not only did I feel as though I was talked down to, but, there wasn’t even an offer to actually physically look over the phone. You glanced at it briefly while it was in my hand. The folks at Experimac changed a battery in my iPhone 6S. I called first to ask about pricing and timing. They quoted me about an hour to install. I took it in later that week and asked about time again and they said about 30 minutes. It took them 20 minutes to complete. Price was exactly what they quoted me on the phone. The store was pleasant and the techs were friendly. Only recommendation I might suggest, and this is by no means a gripe or complaint, would be to discuss any other services they could have performed or perhaps asked me if I was having any other issues with my device they could help with. Otherwise, a very good experience and I would be glad to take other Apple devices there for service. It is really nice having an authorized Apple repair shop in the area.

I stopped in with the dreaded stuck key on a MacBook Pro with Touch Bar... I have apple care, but am in the middle of a masters course and cant spare 10 days to send it to apple.Although this could have been a pretty challenging and expensive off-warranty task, their knowledge of the Mac and its hardware made this a painless fix. I appreciate their straight forward explanations of the challenges with fixing these butterfly keyboard issues. Id definitely feel comfortable with letting them work on any of my Macs.

Ive had 3 or 4 interactions with the store. I find them responsive and knowledgeable. The shop has a limited display of Apple products in a nice atmosphere. Their services are top notch and reasonable. I managed to get a serious malware program downloaded to my MacBook- they cleaned it up while I ran a couple errands. If you are an Apple user in the Winchester area, you need to know about this place!

The staff was quite friendly and also helped me to decipher among several options for purchasing an iMac based on my needs. The purchase came with a year warranty and options for upgrading or adding components like keyboard and mouse. I enjoyed being able to talk tech stuff and felt happy with their suggestions! I had a massive problem as my Macbook Pro 2010 had come to a standstill. I had talked to Apple Care and they gave me ideas to fix my issue. The guys at Experimac agreed with their findings and were able to install more RAM for a very reasonable price and my Mac has worked good as new ever since!

Highly recommend this place for any repair! Extremely cheap compared to other places/Apple repairs, same day service and great customer service. Had an accidental ordering of the wrong product, most likely from my own miscommunication and they fixed the issue no problem and had the correct part shipped. Good job guys!

I have a 2010 MacBook Pro. The original battery decided to bloat/expand to the point that the back of my computer popped off and the area by the track pad was bulging. Apple does not service computers of this age and could only recommend a service provider an hour away. I messaged Expirmax at 2300 on a Saturday and they responded almost immediately that they had my battery in stock and what they’d charge to replace it. I took it in Sunday at 1700 and they had it fixed in 5 minutes. The price they charged was completely reasonable and they even replaced the back of my computer since the battery has caused so much damage to it. I’d highly recommend Expirmax to anyone needing Apple product support, especially those with “obsolete” devices. They were super friendly and accommodating. They also had a number of fairly priced Apple items and accessories in their store.

We went to go and get my phone fixed. The battery was dying quick and the phone wouldnt charge. They fixed it fast, and the staff was quite knowledgeable, but they BROKE my screen. So, we had to go back in and get it fixed (with a discount), but still a fair amount of money.

I went to Experimac of Winchester this morning to see what I could do about my MacBook Air power cord, which broke (it is old). It was a very fine experience, quick and easy, with a good price on a new cord. Thank you so much!

I recently went to Experimac to have my battery replaced in my iPhone 6S. Everyone in the store was very friendly and helpful. My battery was replaced in a matter of a couple of hours and I have not had any issues since then. I later found out that Apple had a battery replacement program going on for qualified iPhone 6Ss. Mine qualified and Apple reimbursed me the full amount I paid. Definitely was more convenient to have my batter replaced here in town and an all around better experience than driving miles to the Apple store. Will definitely be going to Experimac again for all my Apple product needs!

The two gentlemen that I spoke to were honest regarding my options (including options to use my insurance), knowledgeable about my phone and worked with me on pricing. I did not feel rushed or that I was an inconvenience as I asked several questions. They were able to start working on my phone immediately. Only gave a 4 star because I had something simple to be done. I just needed a new battery for my iPhone. They did an excellent job and provided recommendations on maximizing battery life. I learned that I was charging it improperly, all the time when it was not in use.So much nicer to have it done nearby rather than having to drive to Fair Oaks or Reston to get it done at an Apple store.

UPDATE from July Visit:My laptop was working fine up until around late February in which the screen they provided gave out. However, I called up the store and the display they ordered had a warranty. Returning for college Spring Break, I brought in my MacBook Pro and had it fixed for no cost. $0.00 for them to fix it, taking responsibility for the faulted part when it was not their own fault. Highly recommend this place as they truly have the consumers needs in mind. Thank you again!

This place is TOP QUALITY. Same day (same hour in my case) Guys here know what they are doing i can promise you that. I INITIALLY called at 6 pm, was told they could probably fix my phone tonight, so i got there at 620pm. Handed my completely shattered screen iPhone 6, half screen not lighting up at all, to the fellow behind the counter he took my info quickly and very simply gave me my ticket.. Phone was fixed new screen new lcd completely fixed and working by 7pm...probably was done sooner as i was about 5 min late sorry about that.! An elderly friend was given an iPhone 6 from his son. There was only one thing wrong with it; Siri didnt work. We tried troubleshooting it and eventually completely restoring the phone and it didnt fix the problem. After reading some local reviews of a new store in Winchester, I sent him over to Experimac to see if they could help.Not only did they not fix the Siri problem, but they damaged the phone further. We are now unable to send or receive any phone calls.I went back to Experimac to find out what they had done and it turns out, they replaced the antennae and lightning charge port. This was NOT what we asked to have done.They told us they would take another look at the phone and give us a call back. 5 days went by and they didnt call us. We called them and they told us they couldnt find the problem.Conclusion: They took advantage of a 76 year old man, replaced parts that were not relevant to the original problem, charged the elderly man for a service he didnt ask for, and didnt fix the problem he came in with OR the problem they created.

Not typically an Apple person, but this place is very helpful, friendly, and their refurbished products are high quality.

We arrived late in the afternoon, hoping for a miracle before closing. These gentlemen delivered. Polite, professional and prompt. We received a phone call when the work was done, and were able to pick up our phone that evening.

My issue was not resolved with them. They said they had never seen anything like it before, like what is this some kind of computer phenomenon. They seem to be rushed and did not really listen and did not offer any help. Oh well, I wont be going back there any more.
