After promising to take care of our back lawn that we had issues with nothing happened! Calling over and over again did not make a difference. I cancelled the service but sent a double payment for my last service, in May of 2020. I have called them many times asking for a reimbursement and get promised that the check will be in the mail tomorrow to no avail as of 12/03/2020 I have not received the check. They will not take my calls anymore. I am writing to let people know not to use this service. Not only does the work not get done, they do not return peoples money even when they admit they have received a double payment.

Where to start? We signed up for the lawn care and mosquito treatment. We paid up front to get the bonus of one or two free sessions. We had one mosquito treatment in May and then they never came back - said their truck broke down. They claim I had another treatment in June but I have no recollection of them coming. I called in July and August and complained about the lack of services and they told me I had called and canceled - that is not true. I never did that but ultimately I am glad they did cancel the mosquito treatment at that point because they did not provide services expected. Here we are in October and I noticed they have not done any lawn service so I call again and they said I also canceled lawn service - again, this is not true! I was fine with the lawn service (although noticed a lot of weeds starting to pop up and had to call for an additional treatment.) They did provide a partial refund but it took 5-6 weeks which seems absurd (and was not prorated based on free services I had signed up expecting).

Simply green does not return phone calls

I have used Simply Green for 2 years now. My lawn has not looked this good in 27 years! I observed Thomas W apply treatment today. He did not miss a single square inch of my lawn! I have not seen professional lawn service of this quality in my life! Thank you Simply Green.

I would rate Simply Green a 5 if it were not for the billing issues with the prepayment contract. The treatments are effective and my yard looks great. If you use the prepayment contract you will be billed for services that are part of the contract at year end This has happened 2 years in a row. I save all my service billings and reconcile them at the end versus my prepayment contract.

It relieved the stress around our yard work responsibilities immediately and you really cant put a price on that. My husband and I decided to aerate and seed our lawn this year and we used Simply Green. I saw an advertisement and called and customer service gave me an unbeatable price over the phone. Not to mention, a free starter fertilizer and lime at no charge. I also took advantage of their prepay discount which saved me even more money on top of their awesome price. I was scheduled to have the aeration done on a date that worked for me. The technician that came Alex was prompt, friendly, and did a great job. He even talked with my husband and gave suggestions. With all the outstanding customer service and the great service we decided to continue service with them for 2018. We also received 2 free apps and the prepay discount for this as well. Over pricey, they schedule without telling you and don’t let you know when they are coming, I got a voice mail on Friday evening that they will do a service that coming Monday. Well I heard the voice mail that Monday and called them back to let them know I never made the payment, because I got a company that charge 1/2 of the price that they gave me. The lady was so rude and hang up the phone on me. If you overprice people don’t expect them to hire you.

My lawn looks great and the prices are good as well. My calls arent always answered, but theyre always returned. Im assuming because theyre a small local company they dont have hundreds of people answering calls. The techs and office staff are very knowledgeable and if they dont know the answer theyll find someone who does. Tom apparently has been in lawn care since grass existed and knows his stuff.

I highly recommend using this service, last year I had a very great experience with Simply Green. My lawn received just a few treatments and not only did it save me the trouble of doing it myself, but the Results were excellent ! My lawn improved exponentially and I eventually decided to prepay for the remainder of the year. So far through this current season Im experiencing the same great lawn care but I noticed that the customer service is just as good and they answer any questions I may have in a timely manner.

I used Simply Green for one year and I am going back to the more expensive, but more competent Lawn Doctor. I was drawn to Simply Green by the low basic price (around $400) and the down-to-earth contact I had with Tom. In the span of one year, my lawn went from green and largely weed-free to being literally overrun with nut grass. In spite of requesting help with this several times, absolutely nothing was done to address the problem. It will likely take years to reverse the lawn composition. My neighbor had a similar negative experience with Simply Green and we are both switching services this year. The only reason for two stars instead of one is because Simply Green does a very nice job with core aeration, but this is the only thing that I can recommend about their service.

You do business with this company at your own risk. This company gave me a menu of services for a total of $483.00.THey are yet to complete one satisfactorily and yet they want to be paid $344.80.Their tech came to our home to fertilize and provide weed control. We had him on security camera showing he did nothing except to hang a bill for $49 90 at our door and drove off. We shared the video with the company. Days later, another tech showed up with a small aerator punched a few holes and sprinkle some seed in the lawn and drove off and left a bill for $294.90 at our door. I immediately took a pictures of the aeration work and sent it to the company. They never showed up to see the work but are insisting on being paid $344.80 and threatening collection. They will not discuss other items on the original quote for the $483.00. I will likely be referring the matter to an attorney and I will start a consumer campaign to prevent this type of business practice. Paying the amount is not an issue for me. How does this company survive?

Stay away from this company. I have used for several years on an annual contract basis. Service was ok, not great in he past. This year has been a disaster. Lawn is full of weeds and crabgrass. I will need to completely redo my lawn this fall. I think they are applying diluted products. (August 2019)

KILLED MY GARDEN. Ten days ago sprayed my laundry with expressed instructions not to spray anywhere near my garden. Twenty-four hours later plants stared dying. I lost half my crop of zucchini, tomatoes and green beans. They denied responsibility.

I had a contract in place for spraying of ticks, fleas, & mosquitos. They were always late to come out and spray and I had to continually call them to come out for service on a monthly basis. They had not done our last treatment yet. Once again I had to call them and they had our contract as cancelled which is why they were not out. Be mindful, I had paid the contract upfront so obviously there was a clerical issue. That’s not even the problem I have with them though. Instead of spraying for fleas, ticks, and mosquitos; they sprayed our lawn with weed killer and now my whole lawn area in front and back yard has turned completely brown. I will need to completely have my lawn repaired next summer. I have had a contract with this company for the last 5 years. They had made this mistake when I first started using them and since the first time it happened, I figured it was a one off mistake. I don’t know what happened to the company but their services have diminished greatly. Therefore, I will be looking for a new company next year for service.

I have reached out to this company for my aeration and seeding this season, they were very prompt to get me scheduled and although they let me know that it is a very busy time of year they got out to me very quickly and i am very impressed with the plugs and amount of seeding they put down for me, i cannot wait to see my new grass growth!

I used simply green for the first time last year. They came and provided all applications as promised, but then I asked them to aerate and seed my yard. They ran over the flags that marked my invisible dog fence and still cut it (they paid to fix it). Then I came to find out the yard was too wet and they ruined more of my yard then they fixed. This year they came out to address the issue by aerating and seeding again, but several areas previously destroyed would not take. After over 10 messages to the operations manager Angelo I cannot get a call back - BEWARE IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE THIS COMPANY WILL NOT MAKE IT RIGHT.

Wanted to take advantage of their aeration/seeding special but too late in the season and weed control needs to be done first. Quick to process my payment (even though work was never done) and now told it will take 2 weeks to process the $264.60 credit to my card. Ridiculous! Quick to take money but slow to provide service.

Ive been using Simply green Care for about 2 years now, and am very happy with their service. Ive only used their mowing service, so cant comment on the lawn care / improvement aspects, but the mowing and associated blowing / edging has been great. The only time Ive had a problem (tiny patch to side of driveway being missed on occasion), a quick email to Randy fixed it. Their quote was very reasonable to other companies, and I love their service for both noise and sustainability reasons.

I contracted Simply Green for seven treatments in 2017. They called after fulfilling our agreement and continued attempts to up-sell additional services, which I declined. They then came out, without permission, and treated my lawn in March 2018, essentially trespassing onto my property. They now call and send bills for an unauthorized treatment, which equates to harassment! STAY AWAY!!

We used Simply Green Last year to try them out and had them aerate and seed our entire lawn. We have large sections of our front lawn, which normally looks good, now without any grass with lots of bare dirt. This has NEVER happened to us after a fall season aeration/seed (which cost us several hundred dollars). I have called and spoken with the front office person twice who said they would let the head guy know and that he would call me. It has been several weeks with no follow up. We have had other grass companies look at our lawn who said that if they had aerated/seeded a lawn that looked as bad as our does, they would redo the job at no cost. Apparently Simply Green doesnt have the same integrity to honor the work that they do or answer phone calls to request help/follow up. If there was a NO STAR rating available, I would have used that. Something must have been wrong with the seed that they used (we have other sections in all parts of our lawn that are bare dirt, but the front is the worst and most noticeable. IF they call us and honor us as valuable customers, I will happily rescind this poor rating and update their response on this website.

Do not use them. I used them last year and had one treatment this year my lawn looks worse than my neighbors lawn who puts scotts fertilizer down with a broken spreader twice a year. Also they call all the time harassing me for additional services. They play games with the bill too. I asked them how much it would be and to send me a quote via email and I would let them know if I wanted it or not. They then showed up the next day and did some sort of treatment. No bill no list of services. They quoted me one price when they first called me then called me back after that treatment and the price increased. I still dont have any list of services or bill in writing from them as I requested 3 times now. I am calling them tomorrow and canceling service.

A year ago I paid in full for a one-year package, because they caught me at an opportune time and PROMISED that they could get the preemergent on even though I was very late to be starting services. Instead, it was 3 weeks before they did the first treatment, and my yard was full of crabgrass all summer. This year I am in the processing of getting estimates from others, and suddenly come home to find theyve done an unauthorized early spring treatment at a cost that is significantly higher than that in the full-year package price. Be careful with these guys - they dont ask before they treat!!!

Do not use at all not reputable. I used them last year with my neighbor neither one of us planned to use them again since we didnt see much of a difference in our lawn. They show up 3/22 and put down fertilizer without our knowledge or consent. I call up to tell them i never renew and there response is the junk mail that they sent with there promo prices had fine print that I needed to tell them to cancel. I tell them to cancel so they ask me to pay half and I refuse so they threaten to send me to collections and hang up. Shady service not reputable at all

Didnt know the name all I was told was it is a industry standard chemical.They wont cancel until you pay the bill for the service you didnt request.This company is a joke and preys on people. I switched from TruGreen to SimplyGreen because I thought that it would save me some money. Unfortunately what I came to realize was that you get what you pay for. With in a month crab grass and moss started springing up throughout my entire yard after my 1st treatment. I had only had one treatment and I knew that would not fix the yard right away but I did I wanted to see if I could get someone out to spot treat the bad areas, like TruGreen used to do. The 1st time I called I left a message with a secretary for the supervisor to call me and arrange the treatments. After a few days I did not receive a call back so I called again and left another message. Again I received no call backs. I proceeded to do this 2 more times until I became so frustrated that I decided to cancel my service. Strangely enough when I called on the 4th time and told them I was canceling my service because no one would get back to me, the operations manager Angelo called back within 20 minutes it was amazing. I told Angelo that I was canceling because of their bad customer service. I let him know the situation and my frustration and then he proceeded to walk me through my treatments and told me I had only been with them since April. I let him know that is a irrelevant information because I am canceling my service in July. at that point i asked Angelo when I could expect my refund. His response was to tell me Ill get somebody on that and then he hung up on me. My recommendation would be to play it safe and go with TruGreen. They might be 10 dollars more but you will get the service you pay for and they provide a superior product.

This is the worst company ever to deal with. I contracted them last year and i can say one year later my lawn is horrible full of weeds and crab grass. it is worse than it was when they started. When i try calling them i am always told the person is in charge is in the field they will call me and the story goes on and on. Finally after a week, i received a call back and i asked to know what they have done to my lawn for the past year, this information was not forthcoming so they said they will send someone to examine the lawn. lo and behold the person came the following day, i was at work of course there was no one so the guy decided to go ahead and pour something on the lawn and within a minute he was done as captured by my cameras outside, then he left a note saying they have poured fertilizer to kill the crab grass and he was gone. I kid not he went back and forth once within a minute he was done with the whole lawn. Such a shoddy job. in short if you care about your lawn do not have these people near you they are SIMPLY USELESS. My grass is worse than it has ever been for the last 9 years

I refused to pay for something I did not authorize! They finally stopped coming out and now are threatening to send my account to collections if I don’t pay! We hired simply green last year because our neighbor recommended them this is our second year and our lawn still looks amazing this is a great company that takes pride in their work we would recommend this business to anyone they offer a very fair price and their work is outstanding thanks

Horrible experience. I took over for our HOA when we were under contract with these guys. They did a Fertilizer/Weed Control during a windy day and now have 14 trees damaged. Had them come out to review. Came 1 1/2 hrs late and told me it was Blight. Tried to give our HOA a $700+ bill to rectify. Had 3 other Lawn Care Companies come and look at our situation. ALL confirmed it was damage due to over spraying in bad weather conditions.

This is my first year and last year with this company. I have to say their name fits them well, even the weeds in my yard are green. For the last month and half I have called and asked them to address the nut-sage and some crab grass in my lawn. The first time one of their employees came out, which was almost 3 weeks after my call, and did not even know why he came out because their office just told him to come to the house asap. He did not apply anything that day.I had to call again and they came out after another week and whatever they put on the lawn did not work. Weeds are still growing. This company and their employees are totally useless. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. They really do not know what they are doing

We use simply green they offered us a very good price and did a great 👍 job with our lawn we would definitely recommend this business to anyone that is interested in great customer service plus a healthy lawn thank you again have a blessed day .

Very Pushy to provide service although we do not have a contract. Spoke to them several times that I do not need their service, but they keep calling back. I would not recommend them.
