When we moved into our home the front door had quality hardware that I wanted to keep but the previous owners had decorated the door with a metal design and I couldnt get the hardware off to remove the metal. Doc came out, was able to quickly remove the doorknob, helped me remove the metal, replaced the hardware and made us two new keys. For a very reasonable price! I couldnt be happier with the results. I had an ignition switch that would not turn. After waiting hours for another nearby locksmith to return my call I contacted A Atlantic which is across town from my location. They told me if I could get the car to them they could repair it that day. A tow truck driver was actually able to get the car started so I drove there. The plan was to remove and rebuild the 20 year old switch and they started as soon as I arrived. However after removing the switch, they found that it was just very dirty. They cleaned and tested the switch and re-installed it. This was all done in less than an hour. As of this writing, I am still waiting for the other locksmith to return my call. It would have been very easy for them to sell me more service and parts, but they chose to be professional and only performed what was necessary. I wont say what they charged me for this repair but I will say the gas I used to get there would have exceeded their charge. I dont often need the services of a locksmith, but they have surely won me as a customer and will get my glowing recommendation. They are fair, honest, fast, and knowledgeable. Call these folks first, you will not be dissatisfied.

We purchased a 2017 GMC truck and it came with only one key. A Atlantic was able to make and properly program some duplicates. Call to make sure they have the blanks in stock - they will order for you. The whole process took just under an hour so enjoy a nice beer next door at Fermental while you wait! Good price.

There is simply not enough positive words to describe just how grateful I am for this team. I have a VW beetle that has been extremely problematic, but Yvonne, Bobby, and the rest of the Atlantic Coast Lock team have treated it with the highest priority and the deepest considerations. My key broke out of the shell, and where the dealership tried to convince me that there were no other options but to go to them, ACL proved them wrong! Not only did they attempt to repair my existing key (which would have been extremely inexpensive considering the effort they were devoting to it) but when the original broke even more, they went to the extent to buy a special tools to program my key and get me an entire replacement so fast. The amount of time, energy, and equipment they invested in this project was unreal but giving up was not an option to them and I couldn’t be more apologetic for how strenuous this process has been for them. They refused to let me believe it was an inconvenience and still charged me a fraction of the price that the dealership would have just to take a look. I am in awe of just how kind, considerate, and hard working these people are. They also have me several recommendations for other local businesses who would be willing to work on the other issues I have with my car. Doc and I went to look at why my key was getting stuck in my ignition. Instead of charging me $100s of dollars, he started out by spraying something in the ignition which solved my problem in minutes instead of trying to say I needed to replace the ignition switch. Fast, friendly service at a very reasonable price! The dealership wanted to charge me one hour of labor ($130!) to program 2 new keyless entry remotes. A Atlantic Locksmith not only blew that price out of the water ($32!), but they stayed late so I’d have enough time to get there before they closed. 10 minutes later, I was on my way, another happy customer.

I lost my only set of keys to my car (I have a replaced ignition cylinder... so i only have one key that starts my car)- I lost my keys in the OCEAN- on JULY 4TH WEEKEND - and called around without much hope of getting anything worked out that night... well, A-Atlantic Coast Lock was there to get into my car and replace the ignition cylinder all within 3 hours of my initial call... did I mention it was July 4th weekend?That is service! Two sets of car keys were stolen out of my home during a break in while I was on vacation. These are not regular keys but the type that are keyless entry, push to start type. I called Atlantic Coast Lock and spoke to Bobby, he was professional and very knowledgeable (unlike a few others I called) about my needs. Working around my schedule, so I did not miss any work, we made two appointments (one for each car) and they did a great job and saved me a couple hundreds of dollars from the dealers price.

I recently moved into the Wilmington area. I first contacted these locksmiths to rekey my homes locks right after moving in. Then, six weeks later, I locked myself out of my new house. I called A-Atlantic and they sent a technician out. Within 20 minutes, I was back inside my home. Both of these experiences with A-Atlantic Coast Lock were positive ones. I have only been in my home for several months when the key pad and lock combo unit started beeping and flashing and would lock and unlock intermittently, after working when I first moved in. Not being familiar with this type of lock, I called to see what could be done and if the entire unit needed to be replaced. I was advised immediately that it was a sign the batteries were going bad and needed to be changed. I was then given instructions over the phone on how to fix it and asked to call if it didnt work. However, it did work and I was impressed that I could have been charged a service call just to change batteries, yet I wasnt. Instead, I was given verbal instructions and also advice on what type of batteries are better. The honesty shown by this company will definitely be remembered in the event I need additional work done that cant be done by myself.

These guys were able to re-program a 5 button Ford key fob and cut the metal door key. I had been told in the past that only the Ford dealer could do that. They do excellent work.

I called in the morning and they were out that afternoon to assess the work I needed to be done. Returned two days later after ordering warrantied parts. We bought a new house in Wilmington and needed some locks re-keyed and two keypads installed. Since we were about to leave town I needed someone quickly. Called a few locksmiths and left messages with no response. Finally called A-Atlantic and talked to Doc who gave me a quote and arranged to come out the next day. When he arrived he was both friendly and helpful in explaining to me the best way to proceed to keep my costs down. Even when he came across a problem re-keying one of my locks and had to drive cross town back to the shop for the solution he maintained a great attitude and assured me it wouldnt change my cost. Once he finished and left I realized that Id forgotten to have him install the keypad to my garage the opposite way it would normally go in. I called and he offered to either come back or talk me through it on the phone. I chose the latter and he patiently explained to me step-by-step what to do solving the problem both quickly and for free. Highly recommend these guys!

Wayne and the maam (sorry forgot her name) were nothing but fantastic. As soon as you walk in their very welcoming and helpful to you. We had needed a car key replaced after a dog had gotten ahold of it and the dealership wanted $500.00 and required us to buy two. They were able to give us it at a FRACTION of what it cost. Five stars is not nearly enough.....my experience was AWESOME. From the warm welcome I received when I walked in the door, I knew I was in the right place. My key wouldnt go completely into my ignition and was feeling graining going into the door. The dealership immediately wanted to replace the ignition switch and door lock cylinder ..... Doc repaired the cylinders in the ignition, made a new key and figured out that the door was fine, it was the key.... they were so reasonably priced (saved us soooo much money from the dealership). He explained everything to me. They truly care about their customers. Doc, Yvonne, & Wayne....I cannot say enough about your EXCELLENT customer service & professionalism! These people are incredibly helpful and will go way out of there way. I drove down to Wilmington from Virginia to drop a car off for a friend. I trailered my motorcycle behind me so I could get home. I got down Saturday night and realized I had lost my key during the trip. I had to return the trailer that night but needed it to get my bike to the lock smith shop. Wayne came and met me at the shop Saturday night after hours and told me that he would come in on Sunday, his only day off to make a key for me so that I could get home before work on Monday. Instead of telling me that they couldnt help me until Monday, Wayne came in after hours twice and helped me get back home. I used Google to find a locksmith nearby. A-Atlantic had great reviews. Anyone company wkth a 4.8 after 94 reviews was a winner in my book. So, I called them and asked if they could make a master key for my 28-year old British car. I gave him the key code. He looked it up and said that he had a key blank for it. I went to their shop and walked out with the key in five minutes. I could not believe it! Bobby waited on me. He was very professional, came out to test the key in the car ( I drove it there using the valet key); and, admird the car, mading me feel like he enjoyed serving us. We had a doorknob completely come off when exiting our home. After several hours of trying to reinstall, we called A Atlantic. Within a few hours, (on a Saturday), we had a locksmith at our home. He was very professional and thorough. His name was Doc. A super stand up guy. He installed a handle and a different piece and needless to say, it works perfect. The price of a weekend call was very reasonable and I felt like it was in line with the work completed. If you ever have lock troubles, call them and ask for Doc. A terrific and friendly experience!!
