Gold gym has really impressed me, especially for the money. Ive also noticed it is probably the cleanest place in town. If you are worried about going to the gym during Covid, I wouldnt worry about going here. The employees are constantly sanitizing on top of the fact that the patrons do a good job of sanitizing after themselves.

This is the very first and the only planet gym to ever say anything about my dress code. I have worn the outfit I was wearing multiple times and never had a problem. I have been to multiple locations and never had an issue. There were multiple other girls working out in the gym that were wearing the same kind of outfit I was wearing and nothing was said to them. If someone was working out in this gym that was a beginner or someone heavier set nothing would have been said… if there was a shirtless guy wearing shorts in the gym and no shirt he wouldn’t be told to “cover up” but because I am finally confident and feel comfortable finally showing my progress or watching my muscles work I am told to cover up. Isn’t your motto “JUDGMENT FREE ZONE”??? Right

Clean, friendly staff, seems to always be enough machines even when busy. The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t seem to adhere to their own dress code, for guys and girls, and that can be a little intimidating sometimes. Overall, would recommend this location.

Friendly staff, SUPER clean. Which is important in a pandemic. I really missed this place.

You will be harassed by college kids (PF staff) for wearing your muzzle/mask below your nose like they do. I’ll be finding another gym.

I’ve been at this planet fitness for about a week. I joined for the classes. Brittany teaches them all right now and wow! I always leave there feeling better. She does a great job making the classes hard but fun and enjoyable! It’s been a great experience from the moment I walked in the door.

Judgment free. Especially because all I ever do is tan and use the massages. I love this place. Great deal for the price. Definitely worth it. Machines though are excellent quality and layout and building is great.

Good gym. Clean. Friendly staff. Lock your vehicle. Panhandlers and mentally unstable men/women assemble in the parking lot and behind the Dollar General. Tanning beds/massage chairs are nice: no waiting usually.

BIG gym, this is my regular go to for my routines and no matter what time I end up there or how busy it gets, theres always equipment available.That being said, I also wish they would add more benches, thats one thing always at lack.They have a lot of amenities for black card holders. Clean bathrooms, showers, lockers, and a nifty hallway full of fans if you work too hard and over heat.Recommended location for sure

I’ve been a member here for about 5 months. I must say that I’m very pleased with my experience! I feel that the staff has handled the strict guidelines of COVID regulations very well and maintain a clean, orderly environment to work-out in. Staff are always pleasant and courteous as well. The other members are really great about keeping their masks on at all times and maintain social distancing. I can’t say enough great things about this location, I’m very happy that I signed up.

Not worth the money. Machines are always full and most days it seems like the a/c is not on. Machines are clean mostly but the floors are not. Not ideal if youre doing floor workouts. Also they charge more than membership in late fees alone. 2 months cost me $50 after a problem with my savings account that caused the account to be closed. A nightmare gym.

Massage beds are constantly down. Moved during Covid and forget to mail in letter to close account after I tried calling to close and was informed that’s not possible. Went in and dropped off a cancellation letter, still couldn’t close. Charges kept growing even after they knew I was trying to close account. 1st class horrible experience. Oh, and I still can’t close account until full balance is paid so my bill will continue to rise even though I haven’t been in a year. Gotta love it!

Not a fan of the vibe in this gym... not to mention the staff are not very friendly. Ive always used PF for my gym but will be switching to a different gym after the experience Ive had here lately

I love it here! I always feel welcome when I arrive and staff doesnt hesitate to help people. I only have the basic membership, so I dont know about all the amenities but the machines are great and theres plenty of them. The staff also does a great job going around and wiping machines down on top of people wiping them down after use. Getting a membership here has been a great decision!!

With the covid experience they deferred everybodys account. They reopen my account started billing me again and never told me about it. If I hadnt checked my bank account I never would have noticed. They refused to refund three months theyve been billing me for, I dont think I like doing business like this.

I have been to over 20 different PF locations in 14 states over the last 5+ years. I have never had a bad experience until visiting this location. The staff hit the ‘Lunk Alarm’ because I was making “too much noise” bench pressing. I did nothing differently than I have at every other location. The smith machine bar was very loose and I told the worker that.This location has a very nice set up and great equipment, but I will never return after this incident. The staff made me feel very uncomfortable.

Great to be back in gym. Everyone has to wear mask. Just wish people would clean their machines afterwards.

The girls are super mean and theyre really inconsistent with their mask rules. I dont feel comfortable when I workout here and neither do some of my friends. the tanning is the main reason I go here but not worth it for the rude female employees.

Love all you get for just $20 a month

Ive been to gyms before, and whenever I signed up for a membership, they gave me a tour of the gym so Id know where everything is, they did not do that, didnt even show me where to hang my keys, so that diminished my experience, also I saw posters around the gym saying, no judgment zone, and you belong but I did not feel welcomed at this gym. Dont know if Im coming back after this.

This location is so nice! Its so big and theres always plenty of equipment.All of the equipment seems well maintained and I always see employees cleaning the equipment. Theres fitness classes Monday-Friday as well.Sometimes the hydro beds do smell a little funky though.

The Gym was closed for months during coronavirus, I moved away and was unable to cancel membership as they were not open. I had tried calling each month to cancel then gave up, finally receiving a bill in September for membership fees. I called to cancel and get a refund and they denied my refund and told me I had to send in a note in the mail writing to cancel it rather than something electronic which should have been sufficient.These dated practices and extremely poor customer service especially during a pandemic makes me never want to step foot in any planet fitness ever again. It might be a cheaper option, but the company is corrupt and not easy to work with.

This gym is well worth the money! My membership due is minimal compared to all this gym offers me. There is all the latest equipment to get whatever exercise you want, and a trainer that is absolutely awesome! Brittany has classes all day long, she will get your heart pumping, and your muscles strong! She also watches your foam so there are no injuries. Also, the gym is very clean and the staff is friendly, they are constantly greeting, cleaning, and engaging with the clientele!

What an awesome facility. Great freindly staff, exceptionally clean. Perfect amenities such as Hydro beds, Hydro chairs and the massage chairs to use after your workout. The black card is definitely worth little bit of extra money!

The people that use the beds for the last 2 days ive been hav3nt cleaned them, i clean them before and after i use them, but they seem to never be cleaned when i go. Bed number 2 laydown. But the staff are nice

My husband and I had to cancel our memberships due to health issues and deaths in the family....it was just not the right time for us. I called the club and was told as long as they received a letter by the 10th of the month we would be canceled with no further charges. I sent the letter on 2/27 and our memberships were canceled. On 3/1 my bank account was all messed up when we were charged $78. I called the club and was told I needed to email the manager. I did so immediately. It took almost a week to get a response and we were told the charge was an annual fee, that I was uninformed about. I wrote back explaining all this and still have heard nothing. Terrible customer service!!! The franchisee of this club should know that their staff is terrible!!*update** I finally heard back again, 11 days later, and was told I would have to contact the regional manager . This is ridiculous customer service for $78.

They are scamming people out of money during a pandemic... I was specifically told I would be notified before any yearly funds were taken out of my account. Now theyre saying its a non-refundable charge. I was also not notified that charges had resumed even though the gym had been closed for months.

Huge PF. Have plenty of machines for everyone. There are separate rooms for 30 min workout, TRX room, and an empty room for individual workouts like Plyometrics. Clean facility. Friendly staff.

I’ve been to many gyms - LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, etc. - but this gym is by far my favorite. This PF location (on S Kerr Ave) is spotless. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The equipment is cleaned frequently and the locker rooms are well attended to. My favorite part is the massage chairs and events they have like free bagels and pizza. I’ve really enjoyed this gym. It makes working out fun - not intimidating or uncomfortable.

Very very very good selection of workout equipment. They also have very good staff, all with great prices. I like to go a little later at night (1130-1230) as it gets a little busy during the day. Great gym!!!

Love the new location and the facility itself. The staff are great. It’s very clean and new equipment. It is understandably a very busy gym due to all of this.However, we do wish they would go over gym etiquette with everyone who signs up and post etiquette rules on walls! Maybe even monitor to maintain some civility. It’s getting ridiculous with people on cell phones holding up machines and groups of 3 people leaving bags in front of machines they have used then moving onto other machines and expecting no one to use the one they left the bags in front of while all 3 work out on another machine. Then after finally getting a chance to use the machine you have waited for someone jumps in front of you and says i know you’ve been waiting but i just want todo a couple reps and i’ll be off!

I really enjoyed coming back and getting back in my routine again.

The female employees are very rude. Will not be going back

They need much more equipment. No free weight preacher curl. No standing calve raise machine. So many other great gyms out there. Im just there because theres no commitment

The facilities are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. From the tanning and red light machines, to the massage tables and chairs the extra amenities are fantastic. The gym had plenty of cardio equipment and 5 Smith Machines near the barbell rack. There are also two separate rooms for circuit training. In my experience, the wait times are relatively short even at the busiest times. The stand-up tanning is a personal preference for me, but they offer beds as well at this location. Standard locker rooms with showers for those looking to clean-up before leaving. Anyone traveling with a PF black card will find this place well stocked.This is a Planet Fitness like any other in its policy and gym equipment. As such, this review is only about this location compared to others.

You know I was a bit hesitant because I was once a member and the Machinery was very warm downI became a member again totally upgraded wonderful equipment love the arrangement of equipment they have great massage chairs and tanning beds too VERY WELL KEPT NOW

Excellent gym, with complete fitness training circuit. Redundancy of equipment means that there is plenty of equipment even when it is crowded. Even though the gym is huge, and every inch is occupied with equipment for maximum fitness usage, there is enough room to work out without interrupting your training. The place is very clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Currently, it is the only 24 hour gym in Wilmington which makes it the only choice for dedicated gym addicts and serious fitness training.

Theyve done such a nice renovation on the Kerr location. I go to both Ogden and Kerr and both locations are nice, clean, and friendly.

I frequent many Planet Fitness centers as a traveler. Love the showers here. The staff was friendly, supportive and professional. I look forward to returning to this Planet Fitness.

I’ve been going here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience. The staff is always kind and helpful. Equipment is clean and always in good condition. Really cool and relaxed environment to work out in. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else to go.
