I have been with geek squad here in Wilmington for the last 3 years. I have used geek squad elsewhere in the country as well for our business. My experience with them has always been positive.
Would like to say that Christine or maybe Christina did a excellent job with my tablet today!! It took her 15 minutes at the most to correct a problem Ive been having for a month!!! She did a excellent job and I just wanted to thank her!!
The best place to get any kind of computer work that you need and also very affordable! The staff does a wonderful job and have great teamwork to be sure they give you the best service and customer satisfaction!
Absolutely the worst!!! Spent an hour on hold phone trying to get a warm body that breathes to answer the phone. Getting someone at Best Buy to answer was just as bad. When will somebody read these reviews and fix what could be a great business.
Take too much time need pc for school these people don’t know how to fix a pc all I need is to reinstall windows I’m 14 and could fix it in a hour if my mom let me
The man who runs the whole shop back there is great. He has done my past 2 vehicles and both have preformed flawlessly! The window switches began to sink into the door and he fixed the problem no questions asked for absolutely free, and told me to come back if I had any other problems. I would highly recommend taking your car audio here they are very professional and much cheaper to the shops in town. Very quick service as well! I am more than pleased with this service, and I will be returning when I get a new vehicle! 10/10
Drove for an hour to drop off my laptop for repairs. I get there and am told appointment only,. I tell them that I drove for an hour and that there is no place online that it says appointment only. He wanted me to come back in three days and tells me its like going to the doctors office and you need to make an appointment. Total BS. I asked if I could just leave it and the answer is no. I hope he has an emergency and is told no, make an appointment.😂. Stupid business policy.
The guys working the counter are fine, but management has utterly failed at providing the staffing to handle customer service in any manner that is satisfactory. I had to wait an hour-and-fifteen minutes to pick up an item the guy told me to come and pick up.
So I am a retired Network Admin. A friend of mine living out of state took their best buy bought laptop to the geek squad. Reporting to them that browsers were closing on their own. Best Buy charged $200 to load their anti virus, run a scan with it and run ms updates. I get a call from my friend that the laptop to is still closing browser windows. Upon remote examination I find that windows/temp and user temp folders were never emptied. Also browser cache was not cleared. I also loaded Malwarebytes free version. When the system was scanned 2196 malware trojans were found. Really Geek Squad! $200 for nothing. I wish this were the first time I heard of issues with them but it is not. Beware consumers! These are minimum wage ppl working on your computer. Many of them barely got out of highschool. This is not a sales pitch for Malwarebytes or my abilities. Its a headsup to bad business practices and professionalism.
Had my iPhone battery replaced. Arrived at 8:10pm, and was walking out with my iPhone ready at 8:55pm. Very professional service and the new battery is working great.
Hurry up and wait. i bought the 24/7 support. I called it to get help downloading pictures to my computer. The tech made the situation worse. After an hour on the phone the supervisor finally was able to access my computer. Then proceeds to tell me I have to get back in line and wait for another 30 minutes for another tech to fix the first techs problems. Then maybe they can fix my original problem. The computer is less than 3 hours old. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I bought a new refrig from Best Buy and the extended wa rranty last year. Of course it screwed up already. no paper work with the model number and serial came with the unit. Its in a rental house. With the receipt in hand which has order number and geek squad member nunber,I called the squad line and I was hung up on. Dont have the freekin model and serial.Just so you know there are other ways to buy appliances in this world.

Complete jerks. These guys are rude and condescending, cutting you off mid sentence to tell you to make an appointment while no ones with a customer. I went across the street to Staples and was helped right away by the nicest guy, no waiting. Geek squad needs better staff.
They were very verbally abusive. The first costumer service representative seemed nice until I heard him whisper and chuckle about how I dont know something simple about my computer, making me feel very stupid actually. I asked to speak with another one and the other one was just as rude huffing and puffing at me. I have never been so disrespected over the phone for something I pay for, I was also late to class because the man just wanted to sit on the phone and argue with me about how I should know how to use my computer.

I have never met a group of individuals so condescending. Not only did they take forever they made the process overly complicated. Absolutely outrages.
I bought a Geek squad contract with my notepad. Took it to the Wilmington NC Best Buy store where there were 2 men behind the counter and no customers. I asked one of them if I could turn in my computer to be fixed and he said I had to have an appointment and the first available was 20 minutes from then. When I asked what he was doing he said checking people in (I was the only one there). Long story short - took 2 weeks for them to send off the computer to be fixed. Got a text that it was ready and tried to schedule an appointment (!!!!) to pick it up but the telephone system was automated and website didnt work. Strongly urge anyone to go somewhere else for repair insurance. Geek squad policies and customer service are awful.

Geek Squad here is a joke. The guy who was checking people in was a rude ass. He just told us to call 1800GeekSquad. Didnt even take the time to give us the exact number! Why should we have to jump through hoops to get a hold of a Geek Squad member when we are standing right in front of one!?! This guy really needs to check his attuitude before he pisses off the wrong customer.
Every single representative that has waited on me could not be more helpful. They will even go out of the way to help you even if it is outside of their respective duties. They always have had the job done before expected. I trust the geek squad emplicitly.
