I was an “out of towner” looking for a reliable place that would actually trim a beard correctly. After much research via Google and Yelp, I landed at this place.Chris was amazing. This place is not like the big box stores that get you in and get you out. They genuinely care about doing a damn good job. While I can only speak about Chris, everyone I saw working there was doing a great job. You can’t go wrong with picking this place!

I was visiting from Maryland and had some time for a haircut and needed a beard trim. This place was great and the atmosphere was even better. Hands down the best barber shop Ive ever been to. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I came on Google to find a barber shop I could take my 3 year old for a good hair cut. I chose this place because of the reviews and I must say I was NOT disappointed! I went online and made my appointment for the following afternoon. I was able to select the barber of my choice and the time availability was great! Took my 2 year old son with me to get our haircut and wasn’t expecting a whole lot because... well he’s 2! And he’s 2! Sean was so good with him and did such a GREAT job!!! By the end of it my son was giving Sean fist bumps and looking quite dapper!!! Then Sean worked his magic on me! I showed him a pic of what the wife would accept and he went to work! I haven’t had a hair cut in quite a while so it was a few pounds of hair to deal with! On the way home my wife kept looking at me saying “he did a really good job on you!” He always does! Ive been getting my hair cut by these guys my whole life and Im 20 now. Ive never gotten a bad haircut nor seen someone get a bad haircut. Its perfect for all age brackets and is family friendly. They also have an app to schedule appointments so you dont have to walk in and wait. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a barber.

So my buddy has been telling me about this place for a while. Said its the best place to go for your haircut and beard. Told me if I go I had to get his guy Chris. I drove an 1hr 30mins to Wilmington to go here. I have a wedding this weekend and had quarantine hair and beard from hell. I just have to say this Chris has me looking right again. His attention to details and making sure you looking right before he lets you leave is why I will be coming back. Well worth the drive and money. Chris thanks man! You rocked it!

Sean was fantastic today. I just moved into UNCW, so I needed a barber. I tried him out and he made it so easy transitioning to a new barber. If you are new to Wilmy like I was, I highly recommend this guy. He listened to every concern I had, made sure I was comfortable, and took his time to make it the best experience I couldve been given. And above all, the cut was great and he even gave me some tips on how to style it!

This place will be the only place I will ever go to again. They literally cater to your every need(as I’m very pick and aggravating). They took care of my son who is 3 and hard to deal with when it comes time to get his haircut. On a scale from 1-10 I give this place a 99

This place is awesome. Matt is the new owner and not only is he an amazing barber but the shop has a super cool vibe now . I was able to watch a movie and enjoy a beer while he did my hair and beard. This barber shop has probably been my best experience of getting my hair cut. The barbers are extremely polite and patient with their customers. They take their time with your hair and spark genuine conversation. Since I was a student in Wilmington, they gave me a discount! **NOTE** Book an appointment before you go here. Walk-ins are welcome, but they normally are loyal to their appointments.

I have been looking for a barber like Locals Barber Co. for a long time. From the beginning, they accept walk-ins and online appointments. Very cool. I made an online appointment for 4:30. When I arrived, immediately Ben addressed me by my name. I felt right at home from the first moment.I got a perfect haircut with a straight edge blade cut behind my ears and around my neck for $18. Followed up with a hot towel and menthol cool down. Better than I had from any american barber. Thanks Ben.And most satisfying, an in town barber shop without NRA & evangelical doctrine promotions all over the wall.

Worst haircut I’ve ever had, walked in and absolutely nobody was there I waited 5 minutes for him to walk out from the back, it was pretty creepy, asked him to take half an inch off the top and ended up taking off about an inch and a half. Terrible edge up, he didn’t even know what a skin taper was. Don’t go here.

Came in from Atlanta, was hoping to find a modern style Barber shop. Locals was exactly what I was looking for. Matt gave me a great cut, knew exactly what I wanted. Best cut Ive had in awhile.

My fiancé just went there to get a trim before our wedding. He had an appointment at 10, but the hours posted were 9-6 and people were waiting outside for an hour before Justin showed up. He’s pretty sure the guy was stoned or on some kind of meds. Justin nicked him with a straight razor and he has gouges in his hair from the trimmer. Beard was uneven but we were able to fix that. We have multiple pictures of the inadequate haircut that should’ve been a simple trim. Stay very far away.

Please dont book any early appointments with Justin. Me and my girlfriend were suppose to get haircuts at 9 and 930 this morning. We were there right at 9 when Matt opened. We waited over 20 mins for Justin to show up and he never did. He didnt even have the common courtesyto call or text to say he was running late. Hey I know we are all busy and time gets away from us but its pretty rude to A. Not show up and B. To not even give us a heads up. Im very disappointed because he does give really good haircuts but now I feel I have to find a new barber....
