I have owned many cars throughout the years, both old and new, and I have much experience with auto repair shops. Steve Swyka and his service team are by far the best, and second to none in my book. I truly cant find the words that would express how much of a satisfied customer I am with the electrical service that I received. The quality of the work they completed on my 2002 BMW was perfection. My car is now operating better than what it did when I first bought it. Ive been bringing my car to Steve since I started driving a car. I moved to Philly and continue bring my car down to his shop. They love cars and they are friendly to have a chat with. When you walk in you usually see someone talking with Steve on a first name basis. I feel comfortable bringing my tuned gti as well as my Honda to steve and his team to work on. You also may be able to catch some cool cars sitting in his lot.

My dad has used Swyka for years, and they are my go-to mechanics now that Im back in the area. Friendly, honest, reliable, and not afraid to take on difficult tasks.

I recently purchased a 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate. The car seemed to run great. However, when I went to get the car inspected for registration in DE, it failed the emissions test. I called several local emission shops and the Alfa Romeo dealer (not the original seller) and no one would look at my car. Too old, too foreign- bla bla. Well, one of my friends suggested Steve and I am so glad they did. Not only would he work on it, he seemed excited by the opportunity. Anyway, within about 48 hrs Steve had it figured out. Engine wasnt coming up to proper running temps which was keeping the choke engaged. New thermostat and some tinkering with the linkages. Presto- passed emissions with flying colors. I will be going no where else. Great job

I showed up to Swyha without an appointment or call because my low tire pressure light went on and, because I’m not from the area, I went to the first shop I could find. In addition, I just got my car so I’m still very anxious about anything going wrong. When I came in, I was quickly welcomed and Sean helped me (and also taught me how to) fill my tires. I’m coming back in November to order and get new tires. Thanks for all you do!!

I knew I had a wheel bearing going bad in my car when I was first new to the area and had not yet found a local mechanic. I decided to take my car to Steve because the quote he gave me was about $100 less than the dealership, and after having seen an old Fiat Spider 2000 from the 80s in his lot I figured if he could fix that he could fix anything.Turns out I had two bad wheel bearings so Steve saved me $200 compared to the dealership. While working on my car he sent me a text message letting me know he had found a nail in one of my tires. Upon further inspection I came to the conclusion that the nail mustve been picked up at his shop and not before. When I explained to Steve why I felt this way he had no issues covering the cost of the replacement tire.I wouldnt hesitate recommending his shop to others and I will be taking my car back to Steve the next time it needs service.

I bought new tires from Tire Rack down in New Castle and had them mounted and balanced here. They kept their promised appointment time and I was in and out with no delay. No upsells on unnecessary services and the guys did give me sound advice as far as having separate wheels to keep winter tires mounted on, so in the future I could even swap them out myself every winter. And I believe they were cheaper than NTB also! However, there really isnt a waiting room here; more like a couple of chairs in the shops office. Even still, I highly recommend this place.

Steve and his techs have been working on my cars for over 10 years and they have always done excellent work. I have brought in anything from a racing go kart to my everyday car to vintage Porsches and they always fix the problem, no matter what it is.In todays day and age its hard to find a good mechanic, let alone one that will take on things outside the norm, Steve and his crew will. Honest, fairly priced, and exceptional work....highly recommend.

It has been 34 years since I came to know Steve Swyka in 1983 when he was a master mechanic with a local GM dealer. In my very 1st encounter with him, I was immediately struck by his manner of treating his customer as a partner rather than an illiterate know-next-to-nothing car owner. His motto: “An educated customer is my best customer!” He always explained to me the exact problem with the vehicle and then about his step-by-step repair procedures.After he started his own “Steve Swyka Auto Specialist” in mid 1990s, he has taken care of my 4 sedans, 3 SUVs and a minivan for all problems not related to manufactures’ warranties. He charges his services by the-trade-standard reference. Overall, the his charges are fair and in line with local competitors. He absolutely stands by his WARRANTY of the job and his HONESTY and PERSONAL INTEGRITY are beyond question! Its not unusual to see so many of his customers (especially senior citizens) just cursory ask Steve or his son Anthony for the quote and then simply leave the keys at the shop.......
