It’s clean but the girl who cut my hair I had to ask her to wash my hair before she cut it. Then I asked to blow it dry and she did half way. She left it wet. I have to dry my hair or it frizzes. I had to fix it myself when I got home. When I go in to have my hair cut I would like to have it shampooed cut and styled so when I leave my hair looks nice. It’s a walk in place. I was satisfied with the cut.

Asked for a bald fade and comb over. Got the comb over with a hard part I didnt ask for or want. Instead of a bald fade I got a zero fade and she didnt even trim my bangs or beard like I asked. Lee at Man cave hooked this up real nice for me but its so expensive there. Im going to try Sam at Man cutz next, he does good and hes not expensive.

Kimberly did an outstanding job on the services provided above and her attitude towards me was compassionate and professional also Amanda the receptionist was very friendly and offered me a cup of fresh coffee. I had never seen customer service like this in any solon. I truly believe that a lady like this should be in a management position due to how she handles and cares about the customers needs.This is what it takes for a business to truly be successful. Good place for men or boys to stop in for a quick cut. WOMEN OR GIRLS WITH ANY KIND OF STYLE DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE! There is a reason they work in a Walmart salon & their goals are to reach a certain number of customers a day, not take the time to do a good job or customer satisfaction. I wanted a trim today & left with my already super short hair completely butched & looks absolutely mortifying. So angry for going here.

I will say the lady who cuts my hair there is awesome but however everytime I try to call to make an appointment or even when I try online to do it it either get canceled or no one answers the phone like ever. I ever time I step in to se if there an appointment theres a sign up saying no more appointments available today. And thats at like 11am. So there is one super good lady there but getting in there is ridiculous hard.

Smartstyle Hair Salons chief attraction is the convenience it offers being located within the Williston Wal-Mart. Its best to try to schedule your appointment in the mornings, otherwise you may have a bit of wait. Though Ive never had to sit for longer than 30-45 min, even at peak times.The stylists are quick and courteous. I especially liked the stylist Courtney when she was working there. At the moment, due to Covid, they dont offer waxing services, which is disappointing, as there arent many places (if any) that offer them in Williston.If you need an economical haircut, Smartstyle is easy to fit around your Wal-Mart shopping schedule. Its never fun going to Flaw-Mart, but at least getting a new haircut takes some of the drudgery out of it.Im a guy, so my hair needs are pretty basic. Smartstyle is decent overall, though not the cheapest in town.

Decent place not exceptional in any way

Went to get my hair thinned and came out with hair that is so thin and beyond frizzy:( . also didnt want anything trimmed off yet about 3 inches is off :/. Not happy at all wont be returning. Also over priced you can go to pretty much any salon and get better service for $20. I had to pay almost $35 for a thin.

Took my daughter in for a trim today. Her hair was down to her waist and she needed a trim...Her hair is totally butchered, what should of been a straight across cut, now is very uneven and looks like it was cut with an ax by a blind woman. I have one upset daughter!!! do not recommend this place at all.

I called today to make a appointment and i asked for STYLIST COURTNEY, and what was so bad the lady who i told with, told me she wasnt there, i told her thats fine, and then i asked her if there is another person who does hair color and cut hair? her asnwer was everybody here do hair and them she made fun of what i say ...i think they should have more professional people .I havent been there before it was a friend who told me about COURTNEY at Walmart salon,i wanted to try, but any way the lady should had recommend me another stylist instead of made fun of what i asked her.

Just called to ask if I needed an appointment or if it was a walk in. Me and my boyfriend both needed cuts. Lady on the phone kept saying 4:30. I asked if she meant I had an appointment for 4:30. She asked if I wanted to be on the list. I asked her if being on the list for 4:30 meant both me and my boyfriend would be seen at 4:30. She asked if I wanted to be on the list. I told her I just needed to know if wed be seen at the same time because we have time constraints. She asked if I wanted to be on the list for 4:30. She said it was walk in. I said if it is a walk in why are you repeating 4:30? She asked if Id like to be on the list. It was infuriating and none of my questions were answered.

I had one of my best haircuts here today. Im from out of town, so I was looking for a place to get one before I went home. My stylist Madison was great! Easy to talk to, cut my hair exactly how I wanted, and washed it for free afterwards. Good recommendation. The cut was a bit pricey, but I think thats because I am in western North Dakota and the subsequent oil boom out here. Thanks Smart Styles!

A bit over priced at 21$ for a cut. If you want your hair dried before leaving, itll be another $15. I booked 2 appts, one for myself and one for my girlfriend. The location tripple booked our appointment so by the time my hair was done, they last skipped my friend and started on another persons hair. We were asked to wait (after asking the reception about what wa as going on) we decided to leave and cancel our second appt. In addition, I felt like the entire experience was rushed.Do not recommend. Would have given 1 star but my cut was decent.

I went there to cut about 12 inches off and get a very short style. First time going this short. I showed her a picture and she cut EXACTLY what I wanted. All the girls were EXTREMELY friendly and personable!! I called ahead of time and when I showed up, I waited maybe 10 minutes and it was my turn. I had a wonderful experience! Definitely going back!!

My family and I are repeated customers, we went in to get two adults and one child hair cut. We were told it would be fifteen minutes and we were up next. We sat there for a good hour and as we were sitting there very patiently waiting the receptionist let someone else go right in front of us. The receptionist was very rude and told me she did not cut hair so was not her problem. She seemed more worried about making commission on the products then customer service. Very disappointed and will NEVER be returning!

Horrible management. 2.5 hour wait, then told they wont cut my hair because they claim I called corporate to complain on them. Really? Thats how you fix a customer service issue by refusing service. Fortunately, my friend told me to brush it off and go to Crude Cuts. Im happy not to come back. I would give zero stars for their humiliation and insult.

***UPDATE*** well I certainly hate to give one star but I just got done with getting a buzz cut my haircut literally took three to four minutes thats it nothing else, I didnt have my normal person do it and that was my first mistake. I should have waited but I was going out of town so I needed to get my haircut now. I normally would leave I four to five star review would you can see further down on this review that I have left a good review already in the past. But this visit that I just came from well have changed my views unfortunately towards the facility. The front girl Amanda very nice and attentive and my normal girl that I used to have cut my hair Ill still go back and chest because of her certainly not because of the manager. Now my complaints are minor were talking about a difference in price they wanted to charge me $21 for a 3 to 4 minute haircut that all they used was the buzzer and because I tried something different and went from a 1 guard to a half guard my haircut price went from $18 to $21. Now I know youre saying $3 is nothing much this is the principle of the fact not the $3 I could care less about the $3. This is for complete principle, when I said I was surprised I was getting charged to $21 cuz thats a cut and shampoo which immediately is a good deal especially for this area its just unless you get the right person youre not going to get the quality of a more expensive haircut. But I was very irritated with this difference in price because when I asked why it was more expensive than normal she said because I got a buzz and I said so the buzz is not even on her bus is more expensive she said while yours is because you had two different guards now I want you to just take a moment and think about what Im saying because I went and had a different guard used during my 3 minute haircut or should I say buzz cut I was charged extra. So if you come here which Im still probably going to tell people to come here cuz I like some of the people that work here make sure you understand the difference of pricing because on their sign the biggest one right there says haircut Express haircut $17.95 and haircut and shampoo says $21.95.My experience of this place has always been a good experience. I tend to use the same person every time I go, I would suggest checking them out and when you find the right person just stick with them. Customer service is pretty good I always enjoy talking with everybody. I find that the prices are a bit more affordable compared to other places. Conveniently located, but since it is in Walmart it can get busy so my suggestion is when you go in to get a haircut if you have a shopping trip planned, get signed up for the haircut first and go do your shopping, then come back for the haircut.

Arrived at 5:30. Not to busy. 2 out of the 3 women there were cutting hair. One child in line in front of me. Stood inside the door waiting until 5:54. No one acknowledged me. So when I saw the one who wasnt busy sit down at the main desk I approached her and asked if I could get my hair cut. She then informed me that they were booked up and we werent on the list. Even though they didnt close for an hour and a half. Everyone in line then left as she continued to sit behind the computer. Ill let you decide for yourself if thats a good business practice. Im just going to give my money to a local barbershop tomorrow as I drive home today listening to Beauty School Dropout.

I had some good cuts here (other than my husband getting his a little uneven) but the employees openly gossip and laugh about their customers and other employees in front of the waiting customers and I think its really negative and I didnt enjoy listening to it. They should keep their negative thoughts to themselves or at least whisper.

The hair stylist that I got was super friendly and knew what I wanted when I described it to her and delivered. She also gave a great shampoo and wash 😍

I have been going to the Wal-Mart salon for months and never have had a problem. My hubby and I went in the other day and while we were waiting there was this lady who was talking about some of her employees but the worse part talking about her customers. Some of the things were down right RUDE and it gave this lady no right talking the way she was. I asked one of the ladies who she was and she said the manager. I felt so bad for these people. Definitely lost my business

I went in for a pixie cut, I wanted it to stay long on the top and short around. I specifically told the lady not to touch the top and to just cut the sides etc. But she kept cutting away and cut where I told her NOT to cut.. While talking my head off!! The results were pretty poor. So I highly recommend to NOT go there!!! Go someplace else where people will listen and do what you asked, and are professionals.

Everytime I come in the ladys are going on smoke breaks. Making everyone like myself wait until they are finish smoking. So many time I left and while I was leaving I saw them standing outside smoking.Very unprofessional staff. Lots of money are being waste. While staff take good one time outside.Very soon people will find another hairstyle in town And this place will be doomed unless proper measures are taken.

Went in for a high fade and it wasnt faded right and some of the cuts where crooked. And it happened twice by different stylists. Will never go back!

My daughter went in to get her hair fixed it was badly cut. They charged her for their screw up. When I asked why they said it was fine. If I could post a picture I would. It was not fine. Then the gal got rude and hung up on me. So unprofessional!!

Would rate higher because the girls there are very nice...but I called and made an appointment the day before because I did not have a lot of time. Arrived 10 min early but ended up waiting for an hour to get my haircut, even though I had an appointment. I was told that calling to make an apppintment only shortened my time to wait for a haircut. They need to let people know that when they make the appointment

My son and I just went in to get a haircut.... 30 minutes wait, no problem. About 45 minutes later a stylist became available & at the same time a new customer walks in. The new customer was sat for a haircut immediately !!! When I complained about being skipped I was ignored, I told the manager I was leaving and her excact words were “BYE” and very rude about it. I would rather pay triple the price elsewhere before coming back to this DUMP !!!

They dont know how to cut hair

I waited half an hour at the register because the staff messed up this guys bill and couldnt figure out how to adjust it. Then the next lady had a coupon and they couldnt figure out how to complete the transaction because the discount was over 10 dollars. I walked out because of their incompetence and 2 of the 3 women working were very old with very unkempt hair.

Considering they are the only Walmart in the entirety of the Bakken, youd think they have more than one or two people on staff during the weekends. Typically youll have to wait an hour plus just to get in here for a bad haircut. The only reason I dont give this place one star is the staff is very nice.

Since the old girls got fired its garbage I am here as I type this right next to the ogre of a lady with badly died green hair and she was extremely rude when I asked who was most proficient at doing a zero fade military cut since I am a marine and picky about my haircuts. i dont find it rude to ask any question regarding skill especially at a salon where girls are trained in schooling on only girls doos and then graduate and end up doing guy cuts most the time when most the time they only had a small portion of trainingnon mens cuts anyways! the new receptionist is very nice. so Far it was just shrieks daughter lookalike that was rude!

My husband works 7/ 12 hr days and left work early to get him and our sons hair cut. They arrived 15 min before closing (even though most stores dont close till 8pm) and mind you...we are an hour from Williston, ND. The woman there said she wasnt taking any more today because she still had 2 appts. There wasnt a soul in that store but her!!! My husband would have paid EXTRA!!!! This is the ONLY salon open till 7p. I cant imagine how any working individual that works 7 days a week 6a- 6p can get their hair cut in NORTH DAKOTA!!!!! It is a Shame!! The stylist was so rude and lied due to the fact she was counting down her drawer!!! I will be contacting the salon manager and if that doesnt work I will be taking it higher!! Just ridiculous!

I made an appointment for 3 pm. When I showed up, I was told there were eight people that showed up and were waiting in line. Apparently it doesnt matter if you have an appointment or just show up, we are all in the same line no matter what.
