The people here are GREAT. Good service and even call you by your first name. Been going there for years. One time they were closed and I went down the street to K-Bond the guy there was so rude that I just left there. Will never go back there again. Just had to wait for gold creations to open. Yes I had to wait but it was well worth it. So if you want good customer service and pleasant people to work with I would advise you to go see these people you will not be disappointed. I guarantee it. Dont care if your spending 10 dollars or 10,000 you still get treated with respect.

Perhaps what you sensed in my handling of your request was a bit of frustration with myself when I was unsuccessful in explaining our shop’s position. Still, no excuse, and I’m sorry.With that said, I’d like to take a moment to explain to the readers why we (and many other jewelry stores) are hesitant to fulfill a request to provide monetary appraisals of jewelry pieces when two or more different buyer/seller parties are involved in a sales transaction.Simply put: It places us in legal jeopardy. Why? Because of the inherent conflict of interest between the buyer and seller, i.e., sellers want prices to be high and buyers want prices to be low. By setting a specific monetary value to a piece, we can be sued if one of those parties were to claim that our pricing favored the other party. That’s why we have to stay out of it.In this particular case, had the seller come into our shop on his own, we would have been happy to provide a professional, paid fair market value appraisal (assuming we were given permission to remove gemstones, test metals, etc.) because that appraisal would not have been used as a point of price negotiation in our presence. We would have simply made an assessment of the piece, and then the seller/inquiring party could have used the information in whichever way he saw fit.We hope this clarifies our position, and again, my apologies if I came across as rude.

But I have never been treated with such lack of respect. “Thom” obviously allowed his anger and self-importance to control him.
