Your repair service was excellent. Great communication, fast service, and quality work! Thanks to the Razer team as well, they did a great job arranging it. After experiencing your services I’m very glad I purchased the extended warranty with accidental damage protection. I hope I don’t need service again, but if I do, I’m confident in knowing that I’m covered by Razer and that VT Services will be doing the work. Thanks for a job well done!!!!
I’m very happy with VT Services for fixing my laptop promptly at a good price. Not only did they fix my mother board, but solved a less critical problem I had been having as well. Since I live nearby I dropped it off and their hours are flexible enough that I could work it in my commute. They have an impressive computer lab set up with a professional staff of about a dozen. I can recommend them highly. That being said, I have an issue and can rant about how HP made and has offered technical support for my computer. I don’t plan on buying anything HP again as a result. However, I don’t blame VT services for not being HP. Reading some dissatisfied reviews reminds me of where my teen sons and I get our haircuts. I admire the salon for how stylishly they transform my sons. But no matter how hard I plead, they can at best pull my wisp of what was once bangs and say: I am only a beautician, not a magician. VT Services can only do what they can do: they are technicians, not magicians.Despite my choice to buy HP, I am pleased and grateful for VT Service’s work.
I was very happy when my laptop returned looking like new! My touch screen needed to be replaced and I couldn’t tell the difference with the original (because it used a screen from the manufacture). Thank you VT Services! Also, a special shout out to Jodi who helped answer my questions and keep me in the loop!
From reviews and my own personal experience, it is pretty clear that most people dont choose VT Services, but instead end up there through warranty claims, and its no wonder thats the case.My laptop was in for the same repairs twice over ~2 months, with the repair cost totaling about 80% of the laptops cost. Pretty disappointing and frustrating to have had similar issues with the laptop twice after repairs (with a lengthy 2 weeks total of ground shipping both times). Mistakes happen, and new problems arise though, so I was not too upset here, but after the second repair the laptop came back with a new dent in it. The packaging materials were all in good-to-great condition, making it difficult to believe that it might have occurred in shipping (and even if it did, the only thing thatd tell me is that the shipping materials used were inadequate). So, I contacted VT Services the next day to see what the options were for this. VT Services was quick to deny the possibly of the dent being their fault, and largely came across as trying to strong-arm me into accepting the dent, or otherwise going through a lengthy process of shipping insurance claims which still may not result in a repair. I was also informed that the exit photos showed no signs of the dent. I requested to see these exit photos, and never received a response. And even with these photos, I still wouldn’t know if the damage had occurred after photos being taken and before being packaged for shipping. In reference to the dent, VT Services also told me that they could not repair something that was not broken. Can you imagine lending someone your car, only to have it returned with new scratches and dents and being told “well it’s not broken, so I can’t fix it”?Then I moved to contacting the warranty company about it. When the warranty company contacted VT Services, VT tried claiming that the original first repair had the dent present and they had wanted to repair it, but were denied by the warranty company. Yet VT Service had also been confident they had photo evidence of this dent not existing when the laptop last left them.Overall, I am just left amazed by the entire repair process here. My laptop spent 4 weeks total in shipping and had repairs that came to around 80% of the laptops cost and left it with new dents. It’s also amazing how many reviews share the same story here of long repair times and new damage, while VT Services hides behind the excuse of being a warranty repair middleman.
Kept me updated throughout my repair process, very fast repair, very short wait times when calling
They were kind people and such, but they replaced my laptops swollen battery with a battery that cannot hold any charge -_- Not exactly the best solution lol.
VT Services was the best part of my warranty coverage. They repaired my machine (first time ever I have seen that happen) and sent it back, when I started it up, it literally went to the page I was on when I mailed it. They recovered from a Monster Drink spill. I have had subsequent dealings with another issue on the laptop. Their communication and willingness to answer my many questions was spot on top professional. My sincerest thanks to this company/team.
Very prompt and reasonably priced service. Customer support and our account rep, Jessica, is great to work with. We have used them a few times and will continue to use their service as the need arises.
I’m so moved by the help I received from Stephanie Vasquez after my iPad wasn’t picked up by UPS. I was originally charged a fee to ship it out from their center but after I explained to Stephanie my situation financially she went out of her way to contact my warranty provider to cover the reshipping fee. Very moved by her actions thank you VT Services for having great customer service.
VT Services has gained my trust as a top notch and extremely reliable device repair company. Working for a school district gives me many opportunities to have student (and staff!) devices fall into disrepair for one reason or another, and VT Services has been able to repair 99% of what I have sent them, with lighting fast turnaround times! I plan on working with this company for many years to come, and would highly recommend you to try them out as well!
VT Services has the service contract for my laptop. My machine shut off in the middle of me using it and wouldnt reboot. I live on the East Coast. This all happened two weeks before I was to travel out west for a speaking engagement which was days before leaving the country on business for two months. The team was very responsive and communicative. They did troubleshooting, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, got the repairs done, and got it back to me before my travels.I always like to use a product after repairs before reviewing it. Its been two months and my laptop has worked great just as it did before the motherboard went out.I appreciate the VT service team for their professionalism and living up to the warranty standard.
Everything was super professional and fast! I am super satisfied.
A Surface Pro 4 was dropped and the screen cracked in one corner. Also, some dents were visible on the exterior of the case in the same corner. VT replaced the screen and smoothed out the dents. Due to the damage incurred, the system had to be restored to its factory settings. I was able to reinstall the applications and recover files from a backup. The claim process was easy. Communication during the entire process was timely and informative. I was pleased with the service and repair. I would recommend this company.
Company was professional and work completed in a timely manner. They initially explained the process with clear instructions every step of the way which also included e-mails. I received my repaired laptop back and so far working perfectly.
Great service! VT helped keep the warranty company in line, and kept me informed every step of the way. Specifically Emily and Stephanie did a great job communicating.
My extended warranty company serviced my laptop through vt services and after 3 weeks of repair I just received my laptop. While it does work now, the technicians have scratched the metal shell, dented the palm rest, and forgot to replace some of the screws. Overall Im extremely dissatisfied with their service as my laptop now looks in worse condition to when I sent it off for repair.
Very quick and easy process to get my laptop repaired under warranty. I would not hesitate to use them again for future extended warranties. I believe it took under 2 weeks.
I sent my laptop in, after I heard a component pop and then saw smoke emitted from the vents. I made the claim online, providing as much information as possible, including the description of the smoke and smell. I also wrote the description on a form to be sent in with the unit before shipping. After the laptop was received, VT services claimed no trouble could be found. I called in and restated the issue with the smoke, and the company closed the ticket anyway, within 2 hours. I dont like knowing that my quickly expiring warranty has now left me with a ticking clock of a computer.
VT services was contracted by my extended warranty company to repair my front load Samsung dryer. They contacted me 24hrs before our scheduled appointment to confirm information in a professional manner. Miguel the technician gave us a courtesy call before our appointment that he was on his way and was very professional and courteous while he performed troubleshooting and ultimately repaired our dryer and took the time to explain to us what the issue was. Over all we would use their services again.
VT Services performed a repair on my laptop I had purchased through NewEgg. The claim process was SUPER easy! They sent me a box in a few days and after receiving my laptop had it repaired and shipped back all in the same day!! Overall an awesome experience I just wish I had included some Swedish Fish as a tip!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Kept me posted with the progress of the repair of my laptop. Took about a week including shipping to and from. I would use them again. Thanks to Stephanie, Krystle, and Sandy.Catherine
Our warranty company told us to send our Dell laptop to VT services. The computer crashed in early July 2017. It was returned in mid August and ran much slower than it had before. It crashed again in 2 weeks. It took a month for them to begin working on it again. They said they were having trouble finding the logic board it needed. We received the computer Nov 1st. It ran for 2 hours and crashed the following morning. We returned it for a third time. It is being shipped back to us now but weve been told that it can not be repaired because its a software issue. The customer service has been polite for more than 4 months but they were unable to do the work in all that time.
Well, just got my PC back after having sent it in for repairs... Looks like i got a downgraded graphics card from the one i had. Sent it in with a 980GTX, got it back with a 970GTX. Even though i was told it would be either the exact same one or an upgrade. Will update Monday during their business hours if there is an explanation.
Timely and courteous responses, timely repairs and fair prices. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent, expert, and courteous service. They repaired my Microsoft Surface laptop and returned it good as new, keeping me informed re each step via email. Thank you!!
Fast and timely responses from support. Got updates on the state of my device and the repairs were done quickly. I r8 8/8 its gr8.
I wanted to wait to leave this review, and it has been almost three months now since the servicing for my MSI gaming laptop by VT Services and everything is still going strong. VT Services was prompt, professional, and friendly with all their emails, phone calls, servicing, and shipping both ways. They even made a substantial upgrade to my laptop, likely due to my old graphics card not being available anymore. Even though I live three states over, I look forward to utilizing VT Services for any computer repairs in the future.Claim # 9884898 :)
Had a great experience! the staff was very helpful, they showed up on time and they were more than happy to answer all my questions! They fixed the problem and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy!!!A+++++
I sent my computer in THREE TIMES and they never fixed the problem. I constantly told them the problem was the memory, ran my own diagnostics that told me the problem was in the hardware. First two times, they replaced the Hard Drive. Last time, they told me NOTHING was wrong. Extremely dissatisfied.
When my main 27 iMac stopped working, I called on VT Services to fix it. They did and returned it to me. However, in the shipping process between Illinois and Colorado, the monitor was smashed and one corner of the frame was bent beyond recognition.Jodi and Stephanie helped me through my panic attacks! God bless them both. The people who put the inards of the computer into a new frame and monitor must be Computer Wizards!! It looks like a brand new computer and operates like one, as well.Kudos to everyone involved. And, by the way, the people who wrapped the computer at VT Services did a fantastic job! It arrived completely intact and operational. Thank you to everyone at VT Services. A special hug to Jodi. You are a doll!Sincerely - a most grateful customerJude Hibler - Owner, Jazz Link Enterprises
Rearranged my entire schedule to wait for technician to arrive. My appointment window closed and still no tech, so I called and they told me that my appointment was scheduled for a totally different time. I them that THEY Called me to confirm the time and date TWICE, so how did this happen and their response was we dont know. They have horrible customer service. Wish this could have gone smoother.
VT was a great help and they kept me informed thru the whole processed. Thank you so much.
Incompetent. LG technician confirmed a problem with my monitor and even took photos of the problem (image retention), said that it was clearly a faulty LCD panel. Well, VT services said that all is fine. I received my monitor back and of course the problem is still there and clearly visible. Dont waste your time.Edit after their answer: they are still incompetent, since I had to send them my monitor again and they finally agreed that it had to be replaced.
Repaired my MSI GE72VR 6RF Apache Pro gaming laptop thatd had a LOT of faulty keys that didnt accept any of my input and the turnaround time was great I had it back within a week from sending it out fantastic experience, dont know why this place has lower reviews, remember 100% of people post for complaints 10% post if the service was good.Cant say anything bad about VT they did a solid job and kept me updated throughout the while process. Also no shipping or packing damage was a bonus!
Great company! Took my Apple Macbook in to have the LCD replaced and it was done within 3 days at a great price. Will be using them again for future repairs.
Just got my MacBook Pro back from VT services and wanted to let people know how great of a job they did. To be honest, I was a bit nervous parting with my computer for 10 days, but the battery had died, and there was also a connectivity problem with the USB port--from dropping my laptop with a flash drive plugged in. It had damaged the keyboard/upper case. (ouch) VT servicesI kept me updated with notifications for every step in the process. From the moment they sent me a label to mail my computer in, to their receiving it, to ordering parts, to mailing it back. It was actually above and beyond what other repair companies do. My computer is back, and it runs and looks like its brand new! Everything is perfect and Im thrilled. If I could give 10 stars, I would. It was a terrific experience with a repair shop and I sincerely appreciate it. I will absolutely be using their service again. Wish all companies were this efficient.
They have completed a few warranty repairs for me and I had an out of warranty broken screen. They fixed it fast and properly for a fair price. I would use them again for repair.
My hard drive was wiped (on my laptop that has an ssd and a traditional hard drive) even though the fan was all that was to be replaced. they are lucky i am able to repair drives as long as they are not physically dead.
Zero stars. This company does not honor their warranty nor do they repair the problems you have. This company basically steals your money. Contact me if you want more information.
I work as Technology Coordinator at a local school district. I needed to outsource my repairs for Chromebooks, Apple laptops and iPads. I am very skeptical about 3rd party laptop/device repair. So, I requested a tour at VT services and had conversations with the staff and repair techs, looking to see if they have the proper tools and facilities. They do.They are very aware of what everyones repair needs are. The repair services has a good turn around time and I like that they are transparent and very communicative. They have taken a load off my shoulders at a reasonable price (better than Apples)VT services shortened my repair times from 3 months to less than a week.Im very happy with VTs service.
Im a guy who uses his laptop for almost everything ... I DREAD not being able to use it. I had a problem and contacted VT services about my extended warranty. They didnt give me the run around, they did their jobs. They sent me a box to ship my laptop in to the service center which I received in 2 days ... I shipped it back expecting to be without my laptop for up to 10 days. 2 days after I sent it, they received it and had it back to me within 4 more. AWESOME.They answered any and all questions and provided me with tracking numbers for the empty box and the laptop on its way home. I couldnt ask for a better company to get warranty service with.THANKS VT SERVICES, INC ... YOU ROCK!
Crap service. I attempted to send my laptop in for repairs. I receive the box to ship it off to VT Services, it gets all the way out to the FedEx location near their address and is labeled out for delivery then for whatever reason, its marked return to sender and heads back to me without being fixed. It was basically on their door step! A week and three failed attempts later theyre still telling me they are sending me a new mailing label. somehow I dont believe them. At this point I am ready to just eat the $60 I spent on my extended warranty and fend for myself. Its way less stress inducing than dealing with these guys.
I recently purchased a new Mac Book Pro from Amazon and a corresponding SmartGuard extended warranty and accidental damage policy. When the computer started acting up, I contactedSmartGuard who sent me instructions for sending the unit to VT Services. Unfortunately the unit was irreparable and SmartGuard quickly reimbursed me. BUT, the thing to really take note of is the superior customer service I received from VT Services. They watched my computer from start to finish and kept me fully informed about their progress. The service was excellent.
I SEND MY LAPTOP WITH ONE SIMPLE PROBLEM AND THEY WIPED OUT AND PLUS CAME BACK WITH A BIGGER PROBLEM AND THEY HAVE NOT HELPED ME I SPOKE WITH MANY REPS AND THEY SAY I HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT FIXED FOR SOMETHING THEY DID TO MY LAPTOP... DO NOT PAY THEM DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY WITH THEM
Warranty work completed much faster than I expected. My laptop lives again!
Simply amazed! I learned of VT Services though the extended warranty I purchased through Newegg for my laptop. After sending the laptop to Toshiba once for an issue with the screen, only to have the hard drive replaced instead, I decided to just deal with it. As time went on, the screen got worse and I was now in the extended warranty period. VT called me Monday morning after I filed the claim over the weekend and I had a box from FedEx the next day. My laptop was on its way to them on Wednesday morning and I was surprised to receive an email that it was on its way back Friday afternoon. I was nervous about what I was about to get back. FedEx delivered my laptop on SATURDAY afternoon, even more unexpected. My laptop is working perfectly and the screen flicker is a thing of the past. I expected to be without my laptop for weeks and am very impressed that I had it back within 3.5 days.VT was in constant contact with me via email about when they shipped my box, received my laptop and when they were sending it back to me. While I hope I dont have to use their services again, my hope is that any future extended warranty work has to go through VT.
My laptop screen got cracked so I had it sent in to get fixed. They did a terrible job and I had to send it back in. This time, I got my laptop back after their second “fix” and my laptop doesn’t know that wifi exists anymore. Just the worst experience I’ve ever had with a repair company or any company!!!
Very prompt service and alot of email communication every step of the process.
I purchased a 2 year extended warrantee that covered manufacturers and accidental damage on a laptop that I purchased through Newegg. I filed a claim for warrantee work when the CPU cooling fan began to buzz, as if it was losing a bearing. There was also a problem with the spring-loaded release clip for the battery which was broken when I received the laptop from the seller. Apparently, there was a blemish on the keyboard that VT Services said required replacement of the entire keyboard. I had never had a problem with the keyboard, nor did I say that it needed service for the keyboard. At any rate, VT Services said that my warrantee didnt cover accidental damage for the keyboard, therefore, the entire claim was refused even though I never claimed anything being wrong with the keyboard and the claim I was filing wasnt the result of accident. In the same breath that they said they were refusing my claim, they said that they could still fix my laptop at my cost and that it would cost me $541.00. After looking up every part that they said they could fix at that price on Amazon, the grand total for the parts were $65.00. I had them return the laptop to me for me to fix myself. This is precisely why no one wants to purchase these warrantees. The warrantee companies play these games assuming the customer has no choice but to pay for the repair out of pocket when they dishonestly reject warrantee claims. Dont buy warrantees on your electronics, folks. It isnt worth it and they wont do the work you paid for them to do in the warrantee anyway.
You asked for more information on my 1 star rating... I sent my laptop to this company expecting a repair. All that you did was completly ruin my laptop and furthermore you refused to fix my the damages you cause, than preceded to attempt sifting the blame to the shipping company. You not only played with my money with my education. And after all that you refused to return me my laptop, and made pay to get the harddrive back. The customer support in this company is terrible, treating clients like idoits and trying to take advantage. The techinichies cuase more problems than they fix and return the devices without completing the job and making sure everything is functional. So trust me if it were possible to give a lower rating than one star, I gladly would becuase I cannot in a right mind recommend VT Services to anyone who needs a repair.
It is interesting reading the Google reviews compared to the Yelp reviews. Seems people either have a great experience or a bad experience, sadly I fall into the latter. As some others have stated, purchased laptop from Newegg, sent off for repair with VT services. Upon receiving my computer back the outer case had been scratched all over. They had also replaced my computer top case with a white case(without telling me), though my computer is black, so computer is now half black and white. I was told afterwards that white was the only part available, but a simple online search shows lots of places that carry a black top case. Both these issues are bothersome, but in the grand scheme of things not that big of deal to me personallyThey also didnt properly install my mousepad and it is loose and rattles in the casing(which wasnt even an issue before), as well as leaving a dent in my mousepad, which is quite a big issue to me. How they managed to pull that off is beyond me.I would like to get the mousepad issue resolved, I can live with the scratched case and oreo case.Upon contacting VT services they told me to contact Servicenet AIG. Still awaiting a resolution.Wouldnt recommend personally.
I have dealt with VT Services multiple times. They have failed all 3 times I have asked for repairs. My first initial attempt to receive a repair for a broken battery for a laptop resulted in over a week waiting for a box, a month wait for repairing my laptop. Their policy says they will fix an object to you in 7 monthsMy second case dealt with about 6 months later the LED screen on the laptop went bad. We received much quicker a box to ship it. They still delayed resending it to about 14 days after receiving it. However this resulted in them replacing the screen, and uneededly the keyboard, which lead to the keys 1,2,3,4,7,8,9,p, and backspace not work. The third time is when we called the day we recieved the keyboard again, finding out the keys were not working. This time, we called ASUS support and tried to figure out what may be causing it(Our keyboard was a software issue that could not be fixed through a factory reset but could work in the BIOs). We found no solution so we sent it back, and they were much more urgent with it, but when we recieved it back, the keys still did not work, and on the work order, it state that it was to repair scratches only and not to repair any damage, even though we filed the repair for the keyboard. They then accused us of spilling liquids on it to cause the issues instead. They had resulted in nothing more than breaking their own policy and causing more issues than needed. I highly suggest avoiding VT Services for the sake of your time and sanity. We have had this laptop out for 2 of the 24 months for our warranty being repaired by them.
If I can post this with no stars, I will; if not, it will be the lowest I can give. Read all the negative reviews. VT Services is a scam. This is the scam: Well have consumers send in their computers, we say we fixed it and if the owner complains that it doesnt work like it should, we just say, its your fault. No real PC tech is this stupid. This is a total scam.
My Laptop was experiencing keyboard issues and two weeks after repair issues are back
I read their reviews and still risked sending my laptop in...dumb choice. They sent my laptop back, the speakers arent working and they left something detached inside (jangling around). Then my video card started making my computer crash... It had no problems other then lines on the screen and now its not even functional. NEVER get insurance with them! Youll save money by just paying for a repair at anywhere else (since you wont be left with more issues or damaged parts). Bad work ethic and bad services.
The warranty issuer, New Leaf Services (another total loser) chose this company to repair the collapsed USB port on my Samsung Galaxy S5. One month to the day after VT Services received my phone, it not only has not been repaired but it seems they may have cracked the screen on it or so it seems from their response to my BBB complaint. On at least two occasions they told me they had received authorization from the warranty issuer to perform my repair and had ordered parts. At least once VT Services said the repair was almost complete. It doesnt take a month repair a collapsed USB port on a Samsung Galaxy S5 and you dont have to crack the screen on the phone to it.Avoid VT Services and New Leaf Services. In my book, both can be described as rip-offs.
I will never use this company for any appliances especially updated ones. Their customer service is reprehensible. They came out several weeks ago said it was fixed or fine upon leaving I put clothes in and it did the same thing failed to spin and empty water.I called right back and they said i would have to call warranty company even though he had left only several hours before. They made another appt for tomorrow and at 5:30 tonight they said they were cancelling appt because could not recreate problem. Hmm putting clothes in was obviously a waste of their time. I have now been without washer afor 6 weeks four of which i have been trying to work with VT. I will contact the BBB and have already contacted LG to stop using them as referral. Just some words of caution!!!!
Bought a laptop and warranty through Newegg expecting my computer to be protected in the event that any issue arises, but apparently these two companies have a different understanding of the word warranty. I sent my laptop to vt services after filing a claim with Newegg due to my laptops faulty wifi. When my laptop was returned to me not only did I still have wifi issues, but vt services had removed my original hard drive and, in their newegg representatives own words, installed a version of windows that did not include the software to properly operate and control the WiFi radio. To top it all off, I no longer have access to my solid state drive and my laptops hinge was damaged by the company. Save yourself the heartache and avoid using VT services and Newegg.
I purchased a Lenovo C series 560 on 7/10/2014 on 8/2/2014 the operating system failed. After numerous attempts at talking to technical support at Lenovo and my warranty company Smart Guard I was finally told that a tech would come out to my home and service my computer. The tech came out at 9:15pm at night and told me he was unable to fix it and I would be receiving a call from Lenovo who should be able to get my computer shipped to VT services on 8/19/2014. On 10/2/2014 I received my computer back and to my surprise I was only able to turn it on, I contacted VT services AGAIN and they stated that through the contract with Lenovo all they are required to do is make sure that the PC can power on and that it is now my responsibility to contact Lenovo and have them tell ME how to get it up and running with the operating system and drivers. I contacted Lenovo TODAY and the technician told me there is nothing he can do and that if I want to have my computer fixed I should call a repair man and stop calling tech support. REALLY. This is ridiculous...someone at Lenovo, Smart Guard or VT Services needs to fix my computer as I refuse to continue to play this game.
I bought a protection plan for a laptop. The keyboard broke. I sent it in for repair and after 3 weeks got it back with a new keypad on the broken key, but the keyboard still did not work in that section. I then had to send it back in. Hopefully this time it will actually be fixed.
I sent my tablet for repair a problem with Wi-Fi, they said that my tablet didnt have any problem but still charge me $95.00 for nothing. its been almost 3 months and Im still waiting for my tablet even though I paid the $95 already. This is the worst place to send your electronics. The worst customer service and management.
Its my first time to use it and want to learn more
My laptop came back with the same issue. It wont connect to WiFi. They did absolutely nothing to it. I will never buy an extended warranty with their company. I plan on telling everyone about my experience with them.
They get the job done!!#!!
Every time i send my laptop into these people something else gets broken
Took almost a month to get my phone repaired after promising a 5 day turnaround, were bad at answering calls, will NOT use again
