In 2018, I had a lot of personal issues that prevented me from filing my taxes for 2017. I came to Peter to help me with these issues. I had brought him all the documents he required on March 22nd. He told me I was going to have a lot of problems because I didnt file, but he was willing to help me. He made me feel confident and safe he would fix things for me. He was positive about the situation and I felt relieved.Today, Peter asked me to come in. I assumed there was some progress with my taxes (since it had been almost a month since I dropped off all my documents), but there had not been any since March 22. Mind you, in a few days will be the due date. When we had the meeting today he had forgotten what we had went over on march 22nd. When I asked him how come there was no progress.. he responded I dont know what to do with your file Then he requested me to pay him so that he could make an extension. I was bothered that no progress had been made in almost a month and now I have to pay for an extension because it took him 4 weeks to be unsure about it? I sucked it up and agreed to pay. A few hours later, I get notified via e-mail and text to pick up my file because it is too complicated. It would have helped a lot if I had known this sooner! The due date is in a few days! Despite the fact that he had jokingly said I give Pham a bad name (my last name), I still continued to stay humble, respectful, and empathetic towards him.Today I came in to pick up my file. When I walked in, I said hello to the other guy working (I believe is his son) he stared me down. When I approached Peter, I told him its okay, dont worry about it.. Ill find someone else and I even shook his hand. Before I left, I said bye to both of them and received no response, except being stared down. It was a very judging and unwelcoming exit.
