We just adopted our second kitty from here, the same place I got my first kitty from! Marcus was so helpful and understanding. He was super busy running around and helping everyone but never forgot about us and made sure we got everything we needed to take our new baby home. We were able to get such a sweet little boy. Thank you Marcus!
Employees are very friendly and welcoming. All the aisles were clean and the cat habitats had food and water and clean litter boxes. Love pet smart they have a lot of high quality pet products and pet supplies for almost all pets. Highly recommend
I went to Pet Smart because the Petco store I usually go to did not have (again!) the dog food I wanted. Pet Smart had what I wanted (see pic) and also an employee approached me and asked if I needed assistance. She was pleasant, asked me what kind of dog I had and guided me to the dog food I inquired about. Even though Pet Smart is a little further from my house than Petco, I will now do all of shopping for Pet supplies at Pet Smart.
Did not enjoy my experience with the dog training. The trainer Mike is very forgetful, and felt that the training was not helpful. Learning basic commands are things you can do at home. The trainer did not understand the nature of my dog breed and did not understand its personality in general. My dog is super hyper and needs desensitization around people. He never once addressed this issue to desensitize the dog first. All he made me do is walk him around PetSmart and tell him to sit, which of course the dog will not listen with all the distractions. I had scheduling issues with him he forgot that I was coming in one week, after he clearly stated he would see me the next week due to a cancellation the previous week from my part. That week I walked in and was sent back home, I also tried to address my dogs hyper problems and his trouble around people. He told me in our next class he would teach me how to get my dog to listen on command fast. So, I came in again did what he asked of me walk the dog around and the dog started to calm down and not jump as much. Next thing you know he sees the dog is not content with his progress. I did the best I could to teach him at home and on walks as best of my ability could it have been more consistent yes. I will not deny that, that part is my fault. Yet, all he did was ask what I wanted to do? He once again forgot about my dogs problems and forgot what he promised to teach him. That day I left and was not offered a solution and no training. I asked for my refund, which he said would take a week to two weeks and he would call me if not to call him back. Three weeks passed was not contacted called back and his excuse was there was miscommunication and if I want a refund I need to go to the store and do it that way. Let me just state he never mentioned this to me. Not only could I have gotten my discount the day I asked for my refund, I had to come in once again to waste my time. Mike might work for some people and thats great Im not saying his methods dont work it might for some dogs, but my dog was not the case. Again the biggest issue with Mike was his forgetfulness. I did not feel comfortable with him especially when unexpected things came up. He would get annoyed and I felt like I was to blame when in certain situations I was not.
Only the greatest associates work here, they are friendly and very helpful. The groomers are the best.
The staff here are very friendly and will answer any of your questions! They also always have great fish! Ps. Their stock day is Tuesday, so Wednesdays are great for getting fish!
Gloria at the register was rude and very unprofessional. I had a simple request to exchange my senior dogs dog food and Gloria acted as if I was putting her out of her way. I am a long time shopper of PetSmart and have never experienced this kind of treatment and I am very disappointed and I am going to rethink where I spend my money.

They have a very nice variety of freshwater aquarium fish.
Tried purchasing online and picking up at store. Was a major fail. No one was at the front counter, and no signs as to where to go. I tried walking around, still couldn’t find anyone. I tried calling on the phone, no one answered. Finally found someone in an office at the front and went back and forth a couple times with her, and she helped. Once she understood no one was around, she was very nice and helpful.

Overall, the store is fine. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. However, took a star because 2 of the 3 curbside pickups Ive had was with this guy that was very rude and unlikable. Luckily i havent seen him in quite a while now.

I adopted a dog here. She was well cared for and the range of help the offered was incredible. The girl who was working was named Isabelle and she was so kind and speedy and knowledgeable. I feel so lucky to have been able to adopt her and I had such a great experience.
I wish the employees at the Banfield were as helpful as the Petsmart employees.
Good service and suggestions for Beta Fish
I rarely go to Petsmart anymore. Because of covid, I have started to do all of my shopping online! I accidentally almost ran out of kitty food, but thankfully Petsmart was open, carries what I feed the kitties, and yayyyy, I saved the day by going! They are always happy, and greet you when you go in, and plenty of staff for questions or any needed help! I sure was glad it all worked for me to get cat food, or we would have had a HUGE PROBLEM at dinnertime! !
Pet grooming service is terrible!!! I drove all the way from Brighton and when I arrived Roggy took one look at our little Havanese and said he was to aggressive to groom. Hes been groomed several times before WITHOUT an issue. She was simply to lazy to make an effort to try and get to know our dog. Do not take your dog here!

Rude staff. My pup just got out of the hospital and with a prescription for food. I called the store simply to see if they had any in stock. Was put on hold for 20 minutes. Then they disconnected me. Tried to call back 3x and they would never pick up.
They offer most everything I need for my doggies. Sometimes the prices are a bit high (dog treats). The Banfield inside the store is awesome!

Couldnt Be Better! We are a ground zero pup training with Ashley A from puppy through advanced. When things were not clicking for us we did a private lesson and got immediately back on track. The most difficult command, give was taught to Otis using a first aid pouch for my medical condition. Had it mastered in about 4 sessions. Another dog was in our advanced class from Petco and WOW what a (horrific) contrast in behaviors. I love how we can go to Petsmart all through the week and train in the public arena with no expectation to buy stuff... although we frequently do. The staff is always friendly and we have consistently great experiences. Since we came here for training, weve now gotten in to the grooming station and make our (kinda high maintenance) puppy food purchases here as well. Sample Saturdays are a great way to try new product. Love this store! Cant wait to start the therapy dog classes in April.

Thank you for taking such good care of my rescue dog. Every time I bring her for a grooming she is trembling just because of her past trauma and the car scares her. When I come to get her she’s always happy and goes home happy. I really appreciate your groomers. You have a loyal customer here.

I have been a customer for as long as Ive had my dog. I have a Banfield health plan there. I feel for the money it is a good deal to get vaccines and health checks. However if there is any serious sickness or injury you might as well go to the animal hospital because it will get expensive. I feel the food is overpriced and my dog doesnt really like it but thats what the vet recommended.

Excellent grooming department! Chris P. did an awesome job on my puppy and he made a new friend in her! Bought a new toy while checking out and the employee was very friendly as well.UPDATE: I scheduled my fur baby for another grooming with Chris P. and had to cancel due to expected weather. When they emailed me the cancellation they had switched my groomer to someone else! I was never contacted and wouldn’t have found out until I took my boy there for the grooming. That’s just BS and horrible way to treat customers. I’ll find another place for my fur baby to go to.

We have been going to this grooming salon for a couple of years and today was a very disappointing experience. We had our niece drop off our dog for her appointment today and she wasn’t treated very nicely. There were several instances, while she was there and when I came to pick up, where we were treated disrespectfully. This wasn’t the first time we received poor service, however, we decided to let the other past experience go. Unfortunately, I believe we shouldn’t have. I am also confused as to whether or not they keep records of what services they have provided in the past for your pet so that there is consistency. We have always been very happy with the services provided but once our longtime groomer, Bree, transferred to another grooming salon in Castle Rock, it seems as though the overall attitude in the place as gone down hill. It seems as though some of the employees are unhappy with their jobs or short fused with their human clientele. My hope is that the treatment my pup receives is much better than what we get. I’m not sure we will be returning.
My beef is with the adoption department. I was given very cursory service. I believe that, based on my appearance, i was refused adoption. Or even further service. For your information, very rude asian girl, i had just gotten off work. I had been installing a furnace in a crawl space. You know? Under peoples houses? Didnt even allow me to meet the dog. Just asked 2 irrelevant questions and told no. You should be ashamed of yourself. You just denied poor Pinto a great life. Jerk.

Going with 3 because I hate when you call and get one bit of information, go in, and find out its COMPLETELY different! I was really set on adopting a cat. Well, the process is so lengthy, and its a line. Not a, I see it, I want to see if were good. Cool, I pay and bring the cat home. Nope, you fill out and application and Hope and Pray that the people ahead of you for a Specific cat dont want it
Their doggie day camp is a good price and a good idea, but it rapidly went downhill for me. My dog came here about five times, I think. When I first started coming here, they were super accommodating with his anxiety quirks at check in, but during my last two visits or so, that all went out the window. They had zero patience with him or me, which led to a LOT of check in anxiety in him. On his last visit, he was completely shaking because they pushed him too fast and didnt allow me to help him adjust (he does better if I put on his paper collar, for example, but they stopped letting me do it, and they move way too fast when they do it, so it terrifies him). Ive been trying to build a positive association for him still, but they suddenly arent willing to take the extra few seconds for that. I also got a lot of push back because I asked to have his harness and leash brought back to me rather than be kept in the back. On my very first visit, his harness was returned to me smelling like poop and with brown stains on it. So, never again, but they clearly were annoyed with it. On top of it, my dog had raw back legs on two occasions, as if another dog had been allowed to just nip at him all day. I find it strange that they no longer have a camera in the lobby that allows you to watch day camp in the back. To be honest, I just dont trust them here. There are better day camp options with people who know how to interact with ALL dogs, not just the easy ones!

Ive always been happy with this location. I used to get my dog groomed there and they always did a good job (Ive since switched to a new small business in the neighborhood).
Overall the people are very nice. However, they are barely staffed. Im talking 1 guy to check people out, get fish, help with cat adoptions and answer the phone. It took 30 minutes before he was able to help me get some fish. Again, he was super nice. Speaking of fish, they are borderline neglected. I know dead fish happen but one tank had an oscar that had been dead a good week. There is also poor water flow and a film on top on the water in all the cichlid tanks. They constantly stock Red Devils and then put them on clearance 3 months later because no one wants the wretched berserkers. Unless youre fond of them? Go buy one now! They are on clearance sale! Jist make sure to quarantine and treat him....

Not the best grooming ive seen done on my pup. We were told her nails were done as well and that they were cut to the quick. It was clear that maybe some tails were touch a tad but overall my dogs nails were still left fairly long and clacked all over our floor as if they werent touched. I called petsmart to get it fixed and was told that they cant schedule an appointment for me until the manager is in another day despite me being in a rush as I need to travel soon. This was the most expensive groom my dog has ever had for average work, at best.

Fiance went 90 minutes before store close for curbside pickup on an online order that was ready. Employees seen in store but no one answered the phone and no one helped her or the multiple other customers in the parking lot trying to also pick up orders. Terrible service. Update: regional manager is awesome- called me back and made things right- I did return to pick up my order and the manager here was just terrible- incredibly rude and condescending. Im going to return to the Arvada store they are amazing there, think this place is the anomaly. Do not shop at this location.

Go to the other Westminster location. Employees here are so rude for no reason and pretty much none of the shelves are stocked. The first employee I interacted with during my 20 minute visit gave me horrible attitude because I let her know that one of the kittens had its claw stuck, was having trouble and obviously in pain. Instead of walking 10 feet to quickly help him, she immediately dismisses me. Obviously does not care at all about the animals they are being PAID to care for. Then, the blonde girl with short hair erin at checkout was snobby af, no hello how are you, no response when I said thank you have a nice day. Just shoved the bag into my hands in silence. Like, really? What kind of customer service is that? If youre really that rude, you probably shouldnt work with public. Ill never, ever be back.
Not really their fault but the app. Ordered kibble for pick up an hour before I got off work and went to the store after work and wasnt ready... petsmart doesnt even send a confirmation email either saying if my order was even placed. Save the time and just go inside to buy it in store instead of online... thought buying online was suppose to be faster. Never again will I order online.

STAY AWAY! This Pet Smart is not practicing sufficient COVID-19 safety procedures.Sure curbside pick up is great, until the store manager sticks his mask-less face and torso into your front passenger window.I dont want to risk my health, safety, and well being simply to buy cat food, next time ill surly just order online.
Great store. Management attentive to customers needs. Most staff knowledgeable and able to answer questions. Store can get VERY busy, resulting in longer wait times for assistance and checking out. very good at honoring the price match guarantee.
The workers did not help much and not very nice
Very laid back and quiet. Was a little difficult to find what I was looking for. I finally found the seatbelt tether that I was looking for and at a surprising good price. The woman at the checkout even located some scissors for me to take it out of the package. Good place to go.
The Vets and staff are friendly and helpful. That took good care of our puppy. I like having a Banfield in a Petsmart because you can pick up treats, bones and a new nametag. Ive never had a bad experience there. Been taking my older dog whos 13 since he was a puppy.

This was my first time ever to a pet store on my own (looking to adopt a dog soon) and I couldn’t have felt more welcome. Katrina and Phoebe were absolutely amazing. Katrina did a great job of patiently answering my questions and making great recommendations for a first time doggy daddy like me and Phoebe was one of the most friendly, enthusiastic cashiers I have met in a longtime. Lucky for me I only live a few miles away so I will be back again and again!
Been coming here for years and have spent thousands of dollars here, I usually have good experiences but today I am done shopping at the store and with this company.Got a prescription for dog food, came in to use it the first time, cashier explains that I was supposed to come in when the Banfield vet was open. they were already closed, but he rang me up anyway because I needed it. Told me to have a good day.So Im already in the system as having purchased the dog food, which I could not do unless I had a prescription. Went to buy a second time (on a Sunday when vet is not open, and dog was out of food), only to be told that I need to bring the prescription slip every single time I come to buy the food. I said that I was not told this before, but the cashier refused to help me.They have my previous purchase in front of them in their system, so obviously I had an rx to buy it before, simple logic. I was never told to save the piece of paper and bring it in every single time. Why do they have a computer system to track purchases if its completely useless. Now I have to skip feeding my dog for a night, wait until vet opens tomorrow, get another slip of paper, and find a new pet store far away from PetSmart and never ever shop there again. Over dog food. Nice move PetSmart.
