This review is not for this particular store location but for Century Link as a whole. Century Link by far has to be the worst service company out there. We have been trying for the past two weeks to get service. We have been forced to reschedule our appointments to get service 3 times. Each time either my husband or I have taken off work to wait for somebody to come set up our service. Each time we are forced to call because nobody bothers to let you know they will not be out. We have spent hours on the phone and on hold just trying to figure out why they don’t show. Apparently there is not a soul who works with them who can give any answers or reasons besides they have been working on the lines. But then we get a call saying the line work is complete but they can’t make the appointments. It just doesn’t make any sense. I have never seen such incompetence. However based off other reviews it looks like it was a blessing in disguise that we never were able to get the service and I will never again try to get their service.

Service was good, but literally worst customer service system on the planet. Went to office to disconnect, called four phone numbers, sat on hold for a total of 2 hours, incredible. It is like mission impossible to cancel.

Worst company ever. They will try some shady stuff to get every penny out of you. Make sure you are aware of everything and keep records. I will never go back to Century Link again. Still dealing with them 3 years after Ive canceled and paid my balance in full. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.

Just the worst telcom company ever. Avoid them like the plague. they added charges to my bill that I did not make and they wanted me to pay them anyway and then they would credit me which is ridiculous. as my landline phone shorts out during every rainstorm now and it takes a week to get service back, Ive decided to dump CenturyLink and get a cell phone and service through Walmart Family plan which is much cheaper and better features than CenturyLink.

My wife and I recently moved. What I thought was a simple change of service tuned into a big mess. I called the customer service number last month to get everything straightened out. The call last almost an hour. I was reassured that the account was fixed. It was not. Believe me, I was angry that CenturyLink screwed up our account and now I had to spend more of MY time to get THEIR mistakes corrected.I stopped into this location and talked to Neil. Within 30 minutes he had found and corrected the errors to our account. Thank you, Neil. You found a solution to my problem. Thank you.

Still dont have internet. Weve been waiting for over a month now. Its always the same reason but never really explained. Plus it takes forever to get through to even find out they keep directing me to other techs. This is crazy!! my kids are home schooled and they are now a month behind. Only internet service provider in are area too.

Horrible internet, poor customer service and almost impossible to find an actual real store front. Paperless billing automatically signs you up for a year contract which they recommend and never explain the conditions. Avoid them like the plague if possible

I called to renew my centurylink for 24 months and buy a modem. I ended up canceling my service due to the people I talked to in customer service. The cancellation was actually the only thing that went smoothly. Century link has something seriously wrong when they turn someone from renewing the service to canceling the service due solely to their call centers. The only smooth part of this was actually canceling the service, seems like they have the system set up to actually lose customers.

Wow, look at this place deleting my review... I’m sorry, but that does not solve the problem of this company’s irresponsible business practices. Century Link has unreliable and slow speeds, their customer service is deserving of negative stars! It’s time to shut them down for good for their scams and hours of time wasted for people on the telephone. Not to mention their ridiculous cancelation fees and all the stories of them still billing people even after canceling service - aka theft! DON’T use them if you don’t have to!

Good job CenturyLink, an average of two stars. The second star is probably from employees who work here leaving fake good reviews asked to be done by their managers because I have no idea in hell how this place even has two stars. A lot of the people I spoke with couldnt not speak English therefore I couldnt not understand, I was on the phone with a guy for 35 minutes who was unhelpful, clearly didnt know how to do his job and talked about music the whole time.

Moved to new home and had service moved. Tech who came out insisted that I needed a different modem than my existing one. Service worked for about two weeks before becoming intermittent. After that it failed completely. Have been without internet service for three weeks. Tech support tried and failed three times to fix the problem. First they said they would send a replacement modem that never showed up. After calling them again the modem had never been shipped and they sent another one which showed up half a week later. New modem failed to work just the same as the other one and on top of that it was the exact same as my original modem I was told was not compatible. Tech support failed to fix the problem a third time and said they would send a tech out today(my only day off work in 16 days) for an additional 85 dollars. I woke up and checked to see the status of my technician to find that they had screwed up again and my appointment is now on monday when I will be at work and unavailable. I’m absolutely done with this company. Oh yeah, they can only offer 10mbps in my area and my modem was only getting 5 when it worked.

I have internet again so I should leave a review before it goes down again. Bad service. Bad customer service. People that cant help. Transfer me to the wrong department... sure! On the phone for an hour? Sure! Download speeds 25% of what Im supposed to be getting... check! Talk with people with poor language skills? You bet!In other words, typical utility.

One of the worst, most unprofessional companies we have ever dealt with. We called this office in order to have Direct TV installed back in October of last year. And the installer that they sent out was completely incompetent, and un-knowledgeable, and ended up dropping our Flat screen TV and damaging it. So, since then we have literally been complaining, trying to get a proper claim filed for the damage to no avail. We have been sent back and forth for 6 months between Direct TV and Century Link insurance companies. Everyone is so screwed up, and says something different. Direct TV says its Century Links problem and vice versa. And today, they told us theyre not giving us anything for the damage. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this Century Link/Direct TV office. They will set you up, damage your property, and then refuse to do anything about it.

Century link is a joke. DONT GO WITH THEM. I spent an hour on the phone trying to get a refund for the past 3 months that they charged me after I had canceled service. I spoke to 4 different people. They all tried to hustle me to come back and be a customer. I was so angry. Huge wast of time. Felt like I was at a used car dealership.

At first I didnt think a company could be worse that Comcast, however CenturyLink has them beat! Misreprested internet service package, lied about cost of service, and to top it off service is unreliable. I cant believe I am saying this but I think I am going to call Comcast.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was on the phone for an hour and a half trying to pay my bill and update credit card. I was transferred multiple times and spoke with 5 different people until I was notified they close at 6 pm. For such a large company I am very disappointed in there service and will be transferring my internet provider to Comcast.

I was at this Westminster store to return my internet modem and it end up to be one of the worst experience of my life. Very rude and disrespectful. Willie Subbert asked me to leave the store while I’m hold waiting for the CenturyLink customer service on the phone to clarify the wrong information. He even said that he will call the mall security to remove me out of the premises. What ever happened to customer service. All they want is our money and nothing in return. Please have some respect specially we work very hard for the mediocre service they provide.

Never got the speed I purchased. Service has been down for 5 days now from 7am to 8pm yet customer service says its fine and showing its working. Im switching to Comcast.Edit: 01/08/19Getting rid of this service was a bigger pain than anything. The amount of hassle and confusion between departments was insane. Ive been very happy with Comcast since leaving CenturyLink.

Really terrible customer service! I was on hold for a half hour and finally hung up. Later, a supervisor told me not to bother trying to get customer service on a Monday or Tuesday - he said try calling back on Wednesday. I will be dumping Century Link and by the way the internet quality is terrible also - intermittent service. So bad. And from the other awful reviews posted here, its clear they couldnt care less! I give them zero stars if I could .

Not a fan of CenturyLinks service, but the people at this store make up for it. Returned equipment there, and they were very friendly. Provided a shipping label, tape, whatever i needed to ship the equipment back. Still a bit confused why I had to ship it being in their store, but like I said... Not a fan of CenturyLinks service.

This company does suck big time after paying all my bills on time for over 2 years I decided to move and at the same time my current rate went up and in the end after all the bs I gotta pay almost $350 for the last 2 months. Thats just messed up and unacceptable for any reason specially to a loyal customer.

Horrible experience. Internet during the day is pathetically slow. I couldnt even pay my bill will the quick bill pay option because the internet kept timing out. I was on hold a total of over an hour on 3 different calls today. Their system will kick you off if you randomly hit buttons trying to get to a real person. As a added bonus, the other day when I wanted to add phone service, I accidentally dialed the spanish language line. I got a live person with 30 seconds. Hmmmm. Im going to cancel in a week when the other companies service is up and running. Stay away!!!!

My husband was unable to pay the bills for centurylink so it was up to me to pay them. I didnt have the login info, I called and asked them to send me bills through the mail, they refused, they refused to give me my login and password even though I had his social security number and a lot of other of his valid information. Like seriously who wants to pay somebody elses bill? They refused to tell me the amount I owed but they were willing to take my payments, how convenient. I asked about 4 times to speak to a Manger and instead of letting me do so, they gave me the run around transferring me from one calling agent to another, still refusing to let me speak to a manager in which Im pretty sure was none existant. Will not be using this service again. Keep up the good work centurylink...

I have never had to work with a comany that treats its customers with such disrespect. Their call center is the worst one I have ever had to deal with. I have had to call probably 7 times since I got their service in November of last year and each time, I talk with at least 3 different reps before I get a decent one that doesnt just hang up on me mid conversation, or transfer me to the next rep so I am not their problem. I had just bundled my dtv with them and after one month of billing normally, they un bundled it and took away all of my discounts. My internet then went from $33 a month up to $77. Five sales reps later and two disconnected calls, someone finally tells me that they have no idea why my bundle was taken away and re bundle and add my discounts back. This is only one scenario in the past 6 months of issues they have done. Worst customer service Ive ever seen in my life.

I envy the people complaining about slow 7mbps to their area. In our area the best internet speed CL could provide was 1.56mbps which has eroded to .6 or .7mbps on a good day now and all of that for just $70.00 a month.As luck would have it we have the other internet company (Comcast) in our area to switch to which is even bigger than CL with just has as bad or worse customer service and just as frustrating as CL to deal with.Choosing Internet service providers is like a presidential election, you have to pick the lesser of two evils.

I hate this company so much. They are a monopoly in my area and their service is absolute crap (the highest internet service they offer is a whopping 7 mbps) that I am paying $45/mo for which they are now raising to $68/ mo just for us moving across the breezeway in our apartment. I hate them and wish we could have Comcast like we once did. Never had issues with Comcast.

I have had nothing but issues since I started the service. Where do I begin. Over the past 6 months I have been trying to bundle my CL and DTV account. Here is my account of what has happened1. DTV was a snap thenI get transfered to CL and my nightmare begins Oct 2013. CL can not get my account created after 3 hours on the phone with them. They tell me they are not sure why and to call back after I have my DTV installed and working. Fours days later I call back to CL They still can not get my account to process and dont know why. I finally give up on CL and bundling. I do have CL service through my roommate. Few months go by (Now March 2014) My roommate is now leaving for a few months for a job. I need CL service in my house. I call back spend 2 more hours being passed around to different sales people and managers. They finally get my account to process and I will have service in the next few days.2. My next nightmare.. I receive my modem installed it on Friday March 7th and my service is working great. On March 10th my roommate calls and cancels his CL service in the AM. I get home around 7pm and no internet service to my house. I give CL a few hours to come back up. I am a Systems Admin and I know things go down every now and then. Did I mention the fact I need 24/7 service to my house for my job. I call CL at 10pm and start to work with a level 1 tech. They can do nothing for me I asked to speak to a manger. I put 2 and 2 together and figure out the issue. They disconnected my service when my roommate canceled his account. This is a simple fix you just need a tech to come to the DMARK and reconnect my service. Now some how they were able to kill my roommates service at 7pm that night the same day as he requested to cancel his service. I am now told that the scheduling office is closed and they will do there best to get me a tech out ASAP. I said I dont get you can disconnect the service in hours but you can not reconnect me in hours. I am now on with the floor manger for another hour of my time whens she starts yelling at me telling me there was nothing she could do. I ask to speak with another manger. I am transferred to the next manager in line. She is quiet clam and was able to setup a appointment for me but not until Thursday. She tells me she has escalated my issue and will contact me the next day. Move forward to the next day no call no show. I call back to no avail they tell me I am in the cue and it will get taken care of. I am now missing work and not getting paid for my time. Move forward to thursday night. I finally get a call for the tech he is in route. I am a hour away and now way I can get back to my house. I tell him everything I have in detailed here. He says he can look into this without me at the house. I KNOW the issue was I was disconnected at the DMARK. The tech call me back a hour later and tells me that my service had never been connected and he has me taken care of. LONG journey to a CL mistake.3. One final call to CL to see if I can recoupe some of my losses. I want at least a free month of service ( Really thought 3 months would be fair) Well a hour conversation and I get 10 bucks off my account with no expiration date. I still think they should throw in some free service.4. TLDR DONT USE CL!!

Terrible company. You call their customer service and you get put on hold and while you are on hold, you have to hear about how Century Link is ranked number one in customer service. By whom, I ask? Themselves?Ive had to call every month since April (4 times by my count) just to contest a modem fee that they cant seem to permanently remove from my bill. This last time I was on the phone for 35-min because the representative I was speaking with was on hold to speak with her supervisor. They dont even have supervisors in house at their call facilities. What a joke.
