The best liquor store in the area bar none. They literally have ANYTHING you can think of to make your adult beverage occasions a complete success. The store in well appointed professionally staff, clean, and the hours of operation are generous. I cant say enough great things about Scottys just suffice it to say...go to Scottys and you wont be sorry.

Used to love this place! Shopped here, cashed checks here and the owner was very friendly! However he changed his policy on checks and rips people off! Charged me 30 bucks to cash a 400.00 check. The last check I cashed there for 200.00 ended up being returned for some reason! Instead of just calling me to work matters out, he accused me of making fake checks, called me a fraud and said he is calling the police to press charges! For the 200.00 check he wants me to pay 280.00! Said thats the fees incurred! Just outrageous! Yet he is calling me a fraud??? While he rips people off left and right!! Idk, I used to give this place 4 stars, but unfortunately that has changed!

Im appalled at the situation I encountered today in the store. I have been frequently shopped at this location and in doing so I have noticed over the last few months a complete change in the environment and the attitude expressed from the employees towards the customers. Being a business that cashes checks you have to realize that on occasion you will run into trouble and working in the financial industry I understand that ninety percent of the time it is because of a clerical error which comes back as fraudulent or altered and nsf for everything else including actual fraudulent accounts. I have a regular schedule and I have seen some of the same regular customers in the store at the same time as my trips. Today was one of the days that I have run into a good return customer and I was also privy to the last interaction which was a situation where the woman was paying for a money order that was placed in the fraudulent altered category which can truly mean anything from a simple clerical error to a double process attempt to an issue with ACH process, it does not mean that the customer altered the documents or tried anything fraudulent. It is a poor description that needs to be changed on the financial process side. If they suspected that the payment in question is fraudulent they would not have returned it to you for resubmission for payment and would destroy it. The woman came in upset and immediately paid the amount plus the astronomical additional 45 fee for a 100 check after paying 15 to cash it in the first place. Today she came in with the same check she has been cashing for years without issue to the gentleman behind the counter barratting her and accusing her of being a drug addict and to go elsewhere for her drug money. Needless to say I am not going to be visiting this location and I will ensure that no one else will visit it in the future.
