Nick (The Assistant Manager) was awesome from the phone call to the finished work. He kept me informed throughout the entire process. I was in and out quickly considering I had to have 4 things fixed. Great location great store. I took my SUV to Pep Boys in Westland, Michigan on Warren Rd. They were extremely polite, professional and courteous. Excellent customer service from beginning to end. Paul explained everything to me step by step. He made sure that I knew what was going on with my vehicle and promised me that they would take care of it and they did and they werent ridiculous in price. Called before arriving to get my brand new tire fixed. Verified that 2pm was a good time to show up. Nick said it was a good time. Walked in and was told it would be a 2+ hours wait. Asked why and was rudely told they were busy and told me I shouldve came in the morning .Nick was super rude and unprofessional. He basically seemed bothered that I showed up when he told me to. Told me to come back tomorrow. The nail in my tire is leaking air now. Cant wait until tomorrow. They had no problem taking my $600 for new tires but now too busy to do a $20 quick repair. Wont return again. Firestone had no problem taking my business. Mike Brown at Firestone is awesome.
Great customer services! Nick who was at the front desk addressed all my questions and was super friendly and helpful! The guys is the shop area switched my tires over really fast and had me in and out. Will definitely go back!
The guys at Pep Boys in Westland took care of me right away to fix my tire when other places told me it would be three or four or even five hours. They got the job done in less than an hour patching a hole in the tire. While I was there I was looking at tires for my Jeep thinking maybe get them there because of the good customer service.

When I first arrived, the front desk clerk was RUDE. After sitting awhile waiting on service, he WARMED UP. In this case, first impressions are not ALWAYS what they seem. He could of been having a bad day. Im not sure. I was PLEASANT. I guess a SMILE works on people.
Recently I had purchased tires from Pep Boys online and scheduled my appointment online. When I showed up for my appointment the manager said “I must have forgot to call you, I’m sorry but our tire balancing machine is down.” I wish I would have been alerted so I could have made an appointment elsewhere and it would have been no big deal. I just had a blowout and leaks in two other tires and needed the tires and that late in the day is near impossible to go anywhere else and get tires done, not to mention I had to take time off work to make it there. The manager offered to do the install without balancing, which I was comfortable with and he said I can just come in anytime after the machine is fixed. I was happy with them accommodating and asked (and paid) for an oil change As well. When I went to pay I asked for the “mail in rebate” information. The manager told me there was no mail in rebate. I said if you look at my online order it clearly states the price says “price before mail in rebates.” Nowhere does it say “if rebates apply” or any other indication that mail in rebates did not apply to my purchase. I was disappointed when I left and then got home and saw that there was no service paperwork for the oil change or new sticker. So I checked the oil (dirty), checked the oil filter (still an old one), and checked the drain plug and it was apparent that no service was completed. So I made the appointment the other day and got the tires balanced and got the oil change completed.Through the whole experience I am most disappointed with the misleading pricing from Pep Boys with ordering online. All of the competitors pricing is far more transparent. So, I would have given the shop itself 3 stars and the Pep Boys online site 1 star, that is why I gave 2 stars for my whole experience.
Just stopped for air after getting a flat tire at the mall. Was helped out by a very nice gentleman, I believe his name was Paul. Friendly, courteous and professional.
My break pads fell out driving.. My caliper was scraping up my rim and destroyed my rotor and i almost crashed. I made my way here at around 1 pm... I only had 600 dollars to my name.. The work i needed done was 900 dollars and eve though some places were cheaper.. I wouldve put myself and everyone on the road at risk... The man at the front counter named Nick.. Literally gave me the work for the 600.. Because he didnt want me or anyone else to get hurt. This was a life saving charity by Nick.. I will continue to come here from now on

Alignment on my car was ..OK. They broke a bolt and they charged me for the labor .So from $120 my bill went to $350.I paid, thats fine.I just dont understand why i need to pay for the mistake they make. Lesion learned,stay away from Pep Boys.The owner is nice btw.

Awesome experience overall.I had an appointment scheduled for 10am on a Friday before a big road trip that evening. I had issues with my brake pedal not fully activating the pads. Brought in my own personal brake fluid and the customer rep, Paul, helped me out. Him and his technician Drew were able to get me the right service and correct fix the problem on my Equinox within 25 mins. I want to say explaining and writing the paperwork took longer but that is not a con in itself. The service was great altogether.Highly recommend if you need straight forward service. Just remember to explain your situation clearly to the team.UPDATE: Pepboys Customer Service emailed my personal email and sent me a LAUGHABLE email. I sent the google review I wrote above to their website and they kicked it out stating that it was not to their guidelines... What kind of guideline states that I am unable to talk about the customer service but yet states Keep your review focused on the store or service? I also enjoy giving credit where credit is due that is why I would state Tech and Customer service rep.

I had a set of tires installed along with an alignment. The work was performed quickly along with the service manager explaining everything along the way.
Fair price and honest. Normally I do my own breaks but thought I would spring for the added cost to save me half a Saturdays worth of work and bloody knuckles. Initially I was agitated as I received a call informing me that I needed new rotors. In my opinion they had a least one more pad change in them. I reluctantly said go ahead but I wanted the old parts back. Well they were right I was wrong. I measured them and they DID need to be replaced.
Arrive 2 hours prior to closing to have a slow leak on 1 tire. Was asked if I could come back tomorrow morning. NO THANKS! Took my business to belle tire. Felt bad as I knew the previous owners and somehow felt their loyalty would roll over to customers, but nope. Not this place. Its off my chart I will never come here for service.

Purchased a set of tires when I left service tire system light and low pressure light came on called them and was the person who installed my tires was at lunch and would return in 1 hour. I returned in 2 hours and another person reset my light and just put air in my tire without checking it for a leak. The next morning my low tire pressure light was back on I had to go to the gas station and get air on the way to work. When I got off work the same thing. So I went back at 5:30 and explained my situation to the manger who informed me that they could not look at my tire because they close at 6:00....(wow) I just spent $600 here yesterday for tires and had to return twice and they would not check my tire..... very poor customer service

Super nice Super Clean and very pro active....the wife needed some service and I was out of town and they made sure things went right....I even forgot about my travel block in our cards and they patiently made sure the card went thru...We enjoy the fact we can wait out in fresh air unlike the stores were the tire smell is overwhelming...I always use Pepboys...and this service is a reason why.....And remember I work for the Feds and I know were you live guys...na just playing...😜..no serious😎. I just called looking for 4 new tires referring to their website price of $34.00 a tire . the website says the 4 tires will be available at this location after 10am . they guy I spoke with said these tires are not in stock and he cant get them instead he wanted to charge me $150.00 for each tire. So I needed the call.
Got treated real good. We had a Hertz rental and the drivers side turn signal light was burned out. They got us in and out in about an hour.

Appointment started on time and I felt like they were honest
The prior store manager at the location did an oil change on my car (as he has done before, since the store has been constantly understaffed, separate issue that Vince, the Area Director, has been unhelpful in resolving). After driving off after the oil change, my car shut down on the highway about 4 miles from the store. Upon the store managers recommendation, I towed the car back and he found that the oil filter was double gasketed, which caused the oil to leak out. Once the oil leaked out, my engine shut down. This is all documented in the prior store managers termination letter.The Area Director, Vince Vyvyan told Jonathan that they would fix the vehicle and that I should get a rental car in the meantime. The following week, the prior store manager, Jonathan Cravens, was terminated for his error and I was assured that my car would be fixed in about 10 days. I have been waiting for over two weeks now, and checking back every so often. At no time did Vince state that the car would not be fixed and then I received a letter in the mail that Pepboys was not responsible for the damages.I was then informed by Corbin, the new store manager at #6561, that the engine was returned & that my car would not be fixed until Vince approved it. I reached out to Vince Vyvyan and he said that he is waiting for Francine Scott to approve the claim and then he stopped returning my calls. I reached out to Francine Scott and she said that without the work order, Pepboys was not responsible for the damages. I sent her the work order, and she said that she was done dealing with this matter and to also contact a lawyer.I have filed a complaint with the Pepboys Customer Care Department, the Better Business Bureau in Lansing, and contacted a lawyer, and no one at this location will help me resolve this issue. I just want the car fixed & the rental car charges covered, and I thought the store manager and Area Director would be helpful - but it seems that Vince Vyvyan is more concerned with keeping himself out of trouble for an error of a prior employee. They have treated me rudely and refused to communicate openly. I think they are trying to bully me into claiming liability, and I am disappointed that this is their version of customer care. I expected better.

Overpriced. On Monday I called for a battery quote for 2014 Ford Escape. I was quoted $305.64 which included the battery and labor. I took it to the Ford dealership on Ford Rd. and paid $146.00 out the door.
