I received an in home quote/ presentation for window replacements. The presentation and process was completely with professional and friendly saleswomen. I did feel a little pressure to agree on the spot to receive the incentive discounts. Overall the whole experience was professionally friendly. I gave it 4 stars because it is a large investment and the money aspect does make me apprehensive. This has nothing to do with the presentation or representatives. They were wonderful.
We was needing a roof And we called Hansons and Dana Richards, came out we feel she was very informative and had a very cheerful personality. We felt she answered all our questions and gave a positive presentation of what to look forward to. and did not make us feel rushed to make a decision. We feel she was an awesome person to work with and would definitely call on Dana and Hansons again! And would recommend her to others.
Dana was amazing!!! Very informative and fun conversation throughout our entire consultation! There wasnt one question she couldnt answer and absolutely no pressure either way. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to replace windows! Im sure shes great for any of their products we personally were only purchasing windows. Ask for her! Just do it!! You wont be disappointed!
Dana has been wonderful. She has been very responsive to any and all of our questions. We are beyond excited to have a brand NEW home!Thank you for everything.
We called Hanson because we wanted to replace a single window in our house. After Dana was finished with the presentation we signed up to replace every single window in the house (9 total). We were extremely impressed by the quality of the product and the presentation, especially the science experiment to demonstrate the energy savings. The il smart choice includes everything from insulation to durability, safety and easiness of cleaning. Dana is very professional and friendly. It was one of the best experience, I highly recommend this company.
Thoroughly disappointed with the way my windows look and the customer service we have received from 1 800 Hansons. We spent an extremely high amount of money on our windows and they look awful. They stick out and have tacky, cheap looking folds around the corners. The door that they installed already gets stuck and squeaks. We have contacted Hanson’s multiple times to try and figure out how to rectify the situation, but have only been told that they can reinstall all of the windows a little bit differently, but can’t guarantee they’ll look any better. We have tried to contact them multiple times since then and have received no help or responses. We paid twice the price that may other companies are offering, so I feel like we should expect our windows to look great, not be an eyesore.
I called Hanson’s for a new roof. They sent Dana out to give me a presentation and estimate. When I saw a female pull up, I thought “this is going to be terrific “. I was so wrong! She was like an angel. She really knows what she is doing. I learned so much about roofing and what value really is. If you need a new roof, or whatever, ask for Dana because she is really awesome, she really helped me out. She’ll do everything she can. I have never seen a worker that great on my side. I can’t wait for my forever roof to be installed.
Shane came to our home yesterday to give us some quotes for Windows and a Patio door! He went through our house and measured every window and our Patio door! He explained in detail about the Windows and Patio door all of the features and the options available to us. This was the best experience we have ever had with a Salesman ! He answered every question we asked and made sure we understood. Shane explained what Hanson stands for the warranty that they offer is beyond what I have ever any company offer and they stand behind it. Thank you Shane
David was a great guy to work with. No pressure to close, very thorough and respective of my time. The product was great and very innovative with new and better materials. Highly recommend for anyone that’s needing roofing services
We needed replacement siding and reached out to several companies for services. Hansons was very competitive but the reason we decided to go with them was the planning and idea help we received from Shane New. After having a family emergency we were not well prepared for the bid initial visit. Shane was understanding and gave us some things to consider and scheduled a follow up visit. With his help were were able to settle on the design and colors for our new siding and scheduled the work with confidence. We anticipate a great result and will follow up once the work is completed.
No pressure sales! Dave answered all my questions and was very polite. He showed me options not only in color but styles as well. Great rep
We were in need of new siding for our house and Shane was absolutely invaluable for us. As a rep for Hansons he was professional, intelligent and extremely honest with us. He had nothing but respect for us and our needs, and made sure to weigh the pros and cons for all available options to help us nail down (pun intended) a perfect solution.
Dana was professional, she explained everything so Well! We really liked the quality of the windows. If you call Hansons, definitely ask for Dana, she is amazing!
We met with Shane New, one of Hansons Home Improvement Experts, to plan our home siding remodel project. Shane was very professional, knowledgeable and responsive to our needs and desires. He was masterful in leading us to visualize the project and make our final decision. Hansons offers four levels of siding material and Shane was excellent in helping us choose the right one to fit our needs and budget. All of the materials appear to be of high quality and we are looking forward to the completion of the project.
Order was delayed because of Covid and other problems. I want to compliment Marc Alaniz at Salt Lake City Headquarters who worked very diligently for 3 - 4 weeks to finally finish this project. All details were taken care of. I am very happy with the triple pane window as I live in a cold climate. I cannot say enough good things about Marco - Thank you very much. The project is finished!Judith TurnerPark City, Utah
As a first time home-owner, there are things you know and things you dont know... lets just say Im glad Shane knows a thing or two about windows. After breaking two windows doing adults things I could have only dreamt of doing as a child I gave Hansons a call. For first time home buyers out there... your windows actually matter. Even if you bought your home new like my wife and I did. Better insist your builders throw Hanson windows in there first or set aside cash for that sleeping disaster. Thanks again Shane! Lets go Hansons!
So impressed with the company on a whole super impressed with Jes Bradshaw the certified home improvement expert who came to give me an estimate on a new roof. He was extremely patient and and spent time going over different options with me he also brought color samples and we actually learned a few things. He was very organized and took the time to answer several questions in fact when I realized Hansons does windows he didnt have any problem gathering measurements and providing that estimate as well even though I had not scheduled a window estimate. Jes was professional friendly and fun! I have chosen not to use Hansons because I am selling my home but you can count on me using them if necessary on my future purchase!
Hanson’s came out and within a week took my old drab wood sided house and transformed it into a brand new looking house. It was expensive and 2 months to get on the schedule, but I would definitely do it again, because Jose and his crew were experienced, respectful, friendly, and fun to have around. Shane helped me with colors and doubts and all other concerns I had throughout the entire process. A+ it was worth it I love the finished product.
Dana gave a awesome presentation what a great person to work with would recommend her to others.
I am highly satisfied with the professionalism of John my salesman, all the way through the process to my installer. The installer showed respect for my belongings and my home. He worked clean. The change in the temperature in my home was instant once the windows were put in. We have evenly distributed temperature throughout the entire house. I highly recommend 1-800-HANSONS and their Team of Specialists. Thank you Thank you!
Sales rep was very polite and honest. I have great confidence in what he explained and that that is what I will get. Looking forward to the installation and final product. Confident I will be extremely satisfied.
I did not buy today but I will be working with them when the time comes. Shane New was very kind and extremely patient with my kids. During the process he was very helpful and professional. I would recommend giving them a shot!
Saw their ad for a free quote and decided to get a quote for new siding. My wife and I are first time home buyer’s and new to this type of stuff. The process was very easy and included a perfect 3D image of our house through the App. Charles was very knowledgeable and walked us through the whole process. I would definitely recommend!
We did pre pricing and overall what needs to be done for the siding/gutters. Decided on Hansons!
Shane was awesome. He really took his time to explain everything in detail and was extremely patient when it came to answering all of our questions. It wasn’t “sales pitchy” at all!! We are definitely excited to be apart of the Hanson window family
4.30.21 - John @ Hansons is the man! He took my call on a sunday, worked with me monday / tuesday and we had everything finalized by a wednesday. Super easy to work with, very responsive, and an all around great person and company work with. Id highly recommend them to a friend or family.
I had a great experience with Hansons gutter installation division. My salesman John Grencik guided me through the process of installing new facia and gutters with quick turnaround time. John is professional and treated me like a King. I like to refer his service as the Roll out the Red Service Carpet. Thank you John, I will recommend you to others. Keep us the exceptional work.
Charles made the experience very easy and relaxing. His presentation was very thorough, detailed and have us a lot of confidence in the business. However the installers were poor and left blades and screws beging furniture and in the yard. When I called to coming I was told I should have done a better job inspecting.
I want to give a huge shoutout to Shane, the Hanson’s consultant he came out to our house, very professional, very knowledgeable and all around very personable. I highly recommend him to talk to about your roofing needs. Shane also took time out of his day to check on how the job was going during the rip-off and installation and afterwards when the job was done!! The installers came out within 2 weeks they worked very hard for 2 days and in the end we are very happy with our guarantee lifetime roof:))
Our visit with Shane New was very knowledgeable and professional. He was very honest man. We are excited to see the end results. Will be working with Hansons in the future.
David was very helpful, very informative and and all around a pleasure to meet with. I didnt use them because they were a bit to pricey for me, however, David was great!
Shane is so awesome great information took his time. Would recommend. A+
So far they have been very professional and stuck with the price quoted. No surprises. Very pleased with the entire job and follow up response.
We had them out here for Siding they sent the first crew that was creepily watching us from the windows and making inappropriate comments they sent out the 2nd crew when we refused them coming back they did better work but still missing things like a working doorbell and they put outlets on backwards honestly this company is a middle man of being amateurs very disappointed save the money and time pick anyone else
John gave a bid for us for siding on our home. He was very thorough, professional, patient, took time to answer our questions, and gave us a lot of different options.
We were pleased at the presentation and the quality of the product. We cant wait for the day it is completed.
Hansens just finished the siding on our home, I do NOT recommend hiring them for your siding project and here are a few reasons why:1. They broke 4 of my sprinklers. I have galvanized pipes so its not simple to fix these. They broke and damaged all of my plants and bushes, some are nonexistent anymore because of how many times they were walked on.2. We were told the project would take 2 days. It took 3 weeks. They sent 2 men the first day and then 1 man was here alone trying to work metal and handle the huge siding peices. I called Hansens and asked that they send another man because I felt so bad for the one that was here alone. Instead of sending the man help they made him work the entire weekend to make up time. I have a newborn baby, 3 dogs, and my husband works from home so having a quick project was very important.3. The men used my backyard as a toilet when they needed to pee, I have video proof... unfortunately.4. At the end of the project I asked for a 10% discount, they gave me a 1% discount and no apology.
Marco made every effort to meet our satisfaction.
Our experience with Hansens was great it started with our salesman shane new his demonstration on the new windows was very thorough and he really explained things very well he was the start of a great experience for my wife and I. The windows are amazing what adifference they have made thanks again shane and hansons for superior quality.
What a scam. My attorneys and bank is now involved to get my money back. Original tech that did measurements said not problem. Installer shows up 5 months later and tells us this is an all day job and cant be done today. But you were suppose to be here in the am not the 2pm you showed up. 5 months and now you state another 2 months for the right window to be built. Im done.
Our windows are very good quality! Their installation team could have been more professional and customer service is very difficult to get a hold of.
David was extremely responsive and helped with window selection in a very meticulous manner.
Shanes presentation was very thorough, he addressed all our questions.
We scheduled an estimate for 9/26/2020 over a 15 minute phone call with customer service. The customer service agent, Sierra, was very polite and professional. We received an email on 9/25 confirming our appointment. No one called or showed up and no one has reached out since then; however we are receiving emails every other day soliciting sales and promotions while inviting us to schedule an estimate. Lesson learned. If you call 1-800-Hanson’s, they don’t get it done.
I placed my order for windows in July. These were for triple pane, Low E, argon filled fiberglass reinforced windows. Two months later I call to find out that the windows are still not ready. Okay, but I found out I have to sell my home because I have to move to South Carolina. I talk to the VP of operations, Russ Rowley, he discounts my sell, after telling me that if I cancel the order I WILL BE SUED AND I WILL LOSE. I think okay not professional, but hey I have the ear of a guy who can help get this done. Further on into November I sell my house on the promise that the windows will be in on the 24th. Then I call and ask whats going on. They say delays. It is now 10 December. And I had to call to find out that the windows were in the warehouse but two were missing. So...1. They lied about a 12 week timeline.2. They threatened to sue me because I asked what it would take to cancel my order due to an unforeseen mandatory move.3. They lacked communication for any update on what was happening with my order.So. Do not work with this company.Edit: The company replied to my review. I emailed them back. Now we wait to see if they will tell me when they can install my windows.
We bought windows from a company that manufactured windows. We were told that they had been in business for 90 years! We were also told that we had a lifetime warranty. We were so impressed with the quality of the windows! So we bought hundreds of dollars worth of windows. Hansens bought out the company. We had a window that cracked. So thinking that we were covered we called and told them what happened. We thought there would be no problem. We called and called and got no response for two years they continued to ignore us! I would never recommend this company to anyone! Just run as fast ad you can from these jokers!
Hansons is the BOMB from the salesman, Shane New who was excellent to the installation crew and all the office people who were spot on keeping me up to date every step of the way. My windows are beautiful, my house is more soundproof and cooler. Just love Hansons and I would recommend them to everyone. Im planning on having them do new siding next. Thanks again.
These guys are great. The windows are top notch, and you can tell. The installation crew was meticulous, and the salesman was probably my favorite. He explained things clearly and was super helpful.
We ordered our windows in the beginning of the year. When they were delivered, one was broken and another cracked upon installation. The installers told us the broken window had already been reordered and should be replaced shortly. Weeks passed and we made calls upon calls. We FINALLY got a call and was told the windows were in and we confirmed they were replacing 2! The installer came out with 1 window. Said he there was no record of replacing 2 windows. They only replaced the stress cracked window. He said hed put a rush on the replacement. Weeks passed again. I finally got a person on the phone who said the replacement was ordered 3 weeks into June. I just called again-the extension for that person is invalid. They show a replacement for a stress cracked window was ordered, but couldnt help me or tell me any more. Just told theyd have someone call me. One of the reasons we purchased was the life time warranty...what good is it if you cant get the windows replaced? This is ridiculous!
We ordered windows replacement. Their sales rep Shane gave a very good presentation and even helped us with some questions after the job was done. We really appreciated his attitude. The installers did a good job, very fast and high quality. The clean up was not ideal but this is not a big deal.We like the windows, the rooms feel warmer and quieter.
Saleman shared high products and what works and does not. Shane New helped answers we had.
Just had an estimate with them. They were very professional and went through all the details.
Excellent sales representativeExcellent products. I absolutely love my new windows!I use to hear all the street noise, now my rooms are quiet and serene. To know I have a new roof that could last my lifetime, is a good feeling. The installer for my roof and windows were so courteous, respectful and thorough. It has been a pleasant experience.
1. The saleman, Alex, was a great pitch guy promising (A) 4 to 6 weeks. So far 10 weeks and still not installed. (B) that the installers do only one install a day so they can give complete attention to our job. Not true, the scheduler said they have several jobs a day. (C) lifetime PLUS guarantee meaning after we sell house, the 100% guarantee goes to buyer. That, Ill not find out about. The installer was to come to our home friday at 9am. About 9:30 HANSONS called to say his job before us was taking longer. How could he have a job before 9am.?They scheduled for Saturday at 9am causing me to have to scramble to change other Saturday appts, and to have someone at my house so I could make one appt. The scheduler, Sarah, said shed sit at her computer and if he didnt show up at 9 to let her know. I started calling at 9:25 and received no answer. About 10 I got a text saying she was finding out ETA. My husband called 800HANSONS and when he got the answering service, he hung up. 30 minutes later he got a call from HANSONS asking how our day is. I did not identify myself but said I was unhappy that the installer didnt come. She said her GM said itd be 12:30. After 1pm, I called to cancel order, the GM called back at 1:25 saying he would call the installer to see where he is.Question: do they only have 1 installer?Awful service. They spend so much money on commercials, promise all sorts of selling points, claim to be the Cadillac of windows, but who could know? They just dont show up to install.UPDATE: The General Manager, Shiloh Lloyd, did NOT want to lose our business. He totally went to bat Saturday. He compensated us for all my families inconveniences and aggravation. He located someone with a key to the weekend locked warehouse. Shiloh found an installer to come on Saturday by 4p to install window. The installer wasnt completely prepared so didnt bring enough material, leaving us Saturday night with the window basically in place but no foam sealant nor frame, causing the heat to kick on all night. Thank the heavens that my husband could finish the job himself Sunday.Shiloh will be completing the outside frame, so we still await that.I do appreciate Shiloh Lloyds diligence in getting the job done at the 11th hour. Thanks Shiloh.
It was amazing looks great love my roof 👍
After looking at all the reviews for Hanson and how many bad reviews they have I am going somewhere else. And thanks to all of you for your reviews to help me not to make the same mistake.
We had a great experience . Installers very professional and timely . We purchased roof and gutters
We had some issues at the beginning. But we spoke with Shiloh and he assured us and everything with it get done and he worked hard to get it done quickly and promptly as possible. The siding looks great. Cant wait to get more products from 1 800 Hansons I highly recommend them! The team was on top of their game. From the call representatives to the managers. To the people that installs the product!
I needed a new roof put on an old home. There were probably 4 layers of cedar shakes and asphalt shingles. They had to completely remove everything and put up new plywood to re shingle. The crew was awesome. They worked fast in snowy, freezing weather and got the roof done in about 1 week. They were clean and respectful and talked with me about everything. Price wise, they were comparable to other companies I got bids from, and they have better quality products.Id definitely recommend Hansons to others needing their shingles replaced.
BUYER BEWAREI got the triple pane windows back in May 2019. The day after the windows were installed I noticed stress fractures on two windows. With the 100% customer satisfaction guarantee the windows should have been fixed. We completed three service request and have called the company multiples times to get these windows fixed. Every time we are told we are waiting on the window sashes. Well now 4 months later we are still waiting on the sashes. We are listing the house for sale soon and unfortunately we will have to list is with cracks in two windows. We have not herd from the company in over a month. They also but two quarter size holes in our drywall. Initially we were told we would be compensated for that but we have not received anything. We have filed a complaint with the BBB as well.Their sales person was very nice and talked about how great their service was. Their company is not respectful and does not follow through with their service. I would not recommend them to any one. We paid very good money for a very poor service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
The salesman was very convincing why we should go with this company. We finally got our windows today! They look beautiful! The installers took longer than expected, but thats because they did such a good job! Were very pleased!!
I paid a premium for Windows for my house, probably too much, but with a lifetime guarantee. I had the windows installed. There were problems; the trim was terrible! They came back and fixed the trim but they didnt fix all the locks. I have a window that wont lock. Its been over a month! Theyve made two appointments and not shown up for either one. I dont know what to do. Im not happy!
A guy came out to our house from Hansons and spoke with us for like an hour and a half. Nice guy, and we learned a lot about the way they installed roofs and products they offered, which set them apart from other companies. The guy who came over and talked to us told us that they do not use nail guns because there is potential the nail can shoot further into the shingles, causing them to fly off during storms. It made sense, but they used air guns. The second thing is he assured me things would be clean, and we wouldnt have to worry about trash or nails. My wife, daughter, and I have all stepped on nails and staples while walking outside. I have a picture where it went through my foot. We are still finding nails and staples in our yard. Another thing he said is they would put a sign in the front, which served as a promotion, and if someone called because of it, I would get credited money towards the payment plan, still no sign. Once I called in to make my first payment, I complained and was told to write a review. The reason I went with them is because of what was promised, and in the end, nothing seems to be true.
We purchased a new roof. The service was exceptional.
Very professional, didnt feel rushed or pressured into anything.
The contractor that come to the house to do job was very professional and courteous.the sales staff was very helpful and informative
Shady as hell. I applied for a roof, was over quoted 5k on initial bid. Got that taken care of and went through lengthy application process, was turned down by multiple banks, then approved by one that wanted 189.00 a month for 10 yrs. It turned out I couldnt verify my income so was turned down again. For a roof that cost 10k, the finance was going to charge me 22k. NOT WORTH MY TIME AND GLAD I WAS TURNED DOWN. 12K IN FINANCE IS A SCAM
Offered a no hassle no obligation quote but then insisted that they must come in to our home to provide the quote. A basic quote could easily be handled from the outside providing basic, moderate, and high end price ranges first! This was the only way they would provide us a quote! I would stand on my head to give a quote if thats what my customer wanted! Not willing to work with us on this small issue was disappointing as a interested customer. We are no longer interested!
We bought windows from Hansons. Greg was awesome walking us through the process. The installers were very respectful and did an excellent job, even though 2 of our windows were mis-measured, Hanson got on it quick to cut 2 new windows and remedy it asap. Definitely would work with these guys again.
Good work. Through. Polite. Good with pets.
The three techs were polite and considerate of me working from home. The windows look good on the inside. Now we are waiting for the siding.
Can I rate them a zero? The reps that came to my house to schedule an appointment were very nice. I set up an appointment and the company called me 1 hour later to confirm the appointment. They sent an email the day before our appointment to again confirm the appointment. Then they called me 4 times the day before and said since I didnt confirm the appointment, my time slot wasnt available, so my appointment was void. WTF? Like how many times do I need to confirm?
The people on the phones are professional. However, seems impossible to get someone on-site for an estimate. Just wanted me to take pictures and submit. In the end went with the company tha sale!!came on-site. Lost $22,000.00!!
Was looking for a bid to replace our roof. The guy they sent was very knowledable. We made it clear we were looking for bids. Any intelligence person does this with a large project. When it came time for the pitch the representative became near hostile wanting us to sign right then. He made sevreal, what seemed fake calls, to try and get us a better deal. All of his bids were ridiculously high. When it became clear we were not signing any contracts on the spot he marched off, obviously very mad. I assume they must work on commission, and from his perspective we wasted his time. We ended up going with roofs by Reece who used the same quality material that these guys recommend, did a great job, and bid a 3rd of what Hansen bid... look them up.
Everything from the initial sales consult to installation was easy, I didnt have to micromanage anyone and the staff was always reaching out to ensure things were going smooth.
A door to door salesman came to my home. He was very aggressive and wouldnt take my wifes repeated nos for an answer. She eventually gave in and scheduled an appointment to get a quote for our roof even though it wont need to be replaced for several years.
I called to get a quote for some rain gutters. They sent somebody out in a timely manner. After a very lengthy sales pitch he drop the bomb for 100 feet of rain gutters, the price was $1980.00 That’s $19.80 a foot!!! I always do 3 quotes. One quote was $5.00 a foot and the other was $4.50 a foot. Needless to say I did not hire Hanson’s for the job. Extremely overpriced to say the least.
The two young men from installers freedom one. They came in and installed the windows. They showed how the windows worked. They then cleaned up the area. I would have them replace anyother windows tjhat I need.
My wife make a big mistake by giving this guys my number to get a quote on some new windows, that called me right away an told them I wasn’t interested on it at this time, probably I wasn’t clear enough since I got 14 missed calls from them, they even used different numbers to call me, I know it was them because they leave voice mails every time, today I decided to answer I call from them (I was so sure they were going to call me today) I talked to a lady that had really hard time understanding the word !NO! I don’t want to do new windows at this time
Don’t order from these people. They promise you the world in their presentations, get you to sign and then leave you hanging . I’ve not once heard from my original rep since signing even though he promised to keep us in the loop in everything. Won’t respond to any texts or calls. Gone to managers finally got some measurements done, called again a couple weeks later and was told our product is in they are just waiting for a “suitable installer” and they have no installation date here we are almost 2 months waiting for a roof. Rediculous and we can’t cancel because of the stupid contract. New company to Utah they say. Won’t be here long with this kind of service. They also make you sign a contract saying you won’t change your mind on their service. Wish I never signed that contact. This company sucks and I am dreading have to deal with them any further because with this track record my hopes are very low if we ever get our job done that it will be any good. Also they are about 2x the price of any roofing company out there. I was just hoping with all the promises they made it would be worth it to have exceptional service. Empty promises so far . Take my advice and stay away from this company. Don’t be fooled like I was .
I was looking for a company to come give me bids on windows, roof and insulation. When I filled out the request online to have a representative contact me. I had to put in my address, email, phone etc. Not only did I have about 10 calls from the rep. I received several emails. When I was finally able to call them back and arrange an appt. I also told the rep where we where located. That I was looking for a company that could service all of the items needed due to our location. The rep told me oh no problem we just got done with several in your area. We set up an appt for today at 11:00am they called us several times and emailed again to confirm the appt. At 12:00p I received a call from Hansons, sorry you are out of our service area. Poor customer service and I will not be recommending you and will let the people who referred us to you about our experience.
Would give this a zero if we could. NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Still waiting on the third replacement on one window that was installed 11 months ago. Would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Once they have your money, theyre done with you.
EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE!!We requested this company send someone to send us the bid. They said that they will have someone come out in a couple of hours....That didnt happen. We had to call them and reschedule. They gave us a LONG sales presentation and quoted us about 20 K for our roof. I let them know that we are still in the bidding process. At this point is when they became aggressive condescending and rude. I asked them SEVERAL times to leave and he kept lowering his bid. Its like one of them was trying to bully me into signing a contract... I will never buy anything from this company because of this. Jonnie Melendez your review is right on and Animus your review makes me sick. If you purchased anything from them due to an experience like this please contact the Utah Division of Consumer Protection.
Lynn and Vicky did a wonderful job installing our window. They were kind and respectful of our home. Thanks!
I was very impressed with how fast they were able to install all 8 windows. It took less than 3 hours. The triple pane windows have made a huge difference in how hot the house gets.
Firstly, how bold, awful and outdated of your door-to-door salesman to assume a woman simply walking out to check her mail is a housewife, doesnt own her own home, and is married to a man. Just because I happen to be married to a man doesnt mean this approach is helpful or going to work for your business at all in this day and age. I have to add this dude appeared out of nowhere and is honestly lucky I didnt mace him. The creepy non-descript van he was driving didnt help him look less like a porch pirate or any number of other terrifying men I dont want approaching me while Im outside my house alone. Asking our schedule...are you trying to case the place for a burglary, or my murder? Please dont.Secondly, I just bought the house--I know its not perfect, but having your salesman criticize its appearance isnt going to get you far.Thirdly, and importantly, why is it after I was harassed by your salesman into giving out my number I received a spam call from Michigan about a contest I entered? Imagine my surprise to notice that your return address RIGHT ON THE FLYER YOU GAVE ME is located in Michigan. Im no conspiracy theorist, just a person able to connect the dots. Finally, gosh, I would LOVE new siding and a lot of other things youre offering--but due of your chosen method to harass people into using you...its not going to happen. If I end up murdered or burgled I hope the cops are able to look into this Dallas guy you had come around my place. Its not his fault, hes just trying to earn a living in this messed up country. But 1-800 Hansons can frankly inhale my farts.
The work was excellent and timely. The people were great to work with. We really appreciate the seamless gutters and the looks of the shingles.Vearl Jensen
We appreciated the communications, work, product and warranty of the new roof we had installed by Hansens and have recommended them to pur neighbors.
Very pleased. We desperately needed new windows and the service and infomation were in line with what we were promised. Great results.
Im super happy with my new windows... HANSONS has been great to work with since the very beginning.
Took some time to turn around but otherwise happy with the work.
SCAM ALERT My grandmother signed a contract with them. She answered the door to a salesman asking to give her an estimate on re-decking and shingling her roof. Her roof is approximately 3000 square ft. and they bid her almost $22,000 plus whatever they feel they need to add according to the terms on the contract. Other local reputable companies are quoting 10k - 12k. She asked if she could sleep on it and get a second opinion before signing and the salesman told her she would be losing a 15% discount by not signing right now. I contacted the salesman and when I asked him about the price, he hung up on me. I contacted the company via 1-800 HANSONS and they told me it would be a 30% cancelation fee (So... $7000 for them to do nothing?) and that material was already ordered. The material which was supposedly “ordered” is in stock at just about every wholesale roofing supply company in the valley. They refuse to give me an itemized list of pricing for the job. My grandmother didn’t know the fair price margin for this type of work, and was pressured into signing right away.
We called and asked for a bid. What we got caught up in was a long sales presentation complete with cute videos of the CEO, phony customers, etc. We had already had our roof measured twice and both came in at 40 square. Hansons...came in at 47.7 square. (20% pad already) He started the presentation saying how they were 100% digital to avoid mistakes and other companies would misrepresent things. As soon as he opened up his tablet and program i found a mistake on his measurements...in their favor. Then the presentation started (all I wanted was a bid!) ...after 15 minutes of pre-canned presentation my wife and I asked him to cut to the pricing. He wasnt happy about having to skip the presentation...took him several more minutes just to scroll to the end of the presentation! Then...four options.... ready for this? 3 - 5 times as much as we had been getting quotes for! Regular roof replacement should run between $3-$5 per square foot. He had us jacked up to $15 /sq ft! That was for the standard package. Two more levels above that! Then he offered the discounts...30%...wow...now they were only 2X the going rate. What a deal....
The two workers got right to work and were finished in a couple of hours. Clean up was great !
They treat you with respect and make it a pleasurable experience. The installers are very professional and clean up after the job is complete.
UPDATE: Corporate read this review and had M. Glazer contact me. Offered $200 to close this matter out. Better than nothing although I wanted the damage fixed, not $ to do work on my own.Original post:It all started out with a Salesman and I did need gutters. I chose the seamless gutter option which was two lengths of 40 feet costing $1700. The scheduling was difficult and when my appt day arrived, the sub-contractor was just arriving in SLC for a load of jobs. They did the work..Now, after the fact I found multiple 5 inch nails strung about my yard.. I stepped on one and my mower found the rest 🤬. These installers had scratched the paint on my house with their ladders.I called the company sooo many times, they sent a surveyor who took photos and I have NEVER heard back from Hansons after multiple attempts. I have to fix this at my own cost now. Dont do business here.. there are other local companies who do seamless gutters.. should have researched this more.
The window work we had done by Hansons today was quite good, and so was the experience. They arrived early in the morning, replaced 5 windows for us, and were gone and done by 11:45 am!!!I think what I like the most about Hansons is their consistent communication throughout the whole pre-installation process. It is hard to find a company that goes the extra mile in their follow-up. Hansons did exactly that!! Communication is a dying art in todays business climate, but Hansons exceeded our expectations in that department!!And the windows look great!
Shifted from 2 star to 1 star after they said they wanted to discuss, and never made an attempt to reach out. Sign of continued poor customer support. As a scientist, I really enjoyed the presentation by the salesperson. He used a radiometer to demonstrate the ability of their triple pane windows to filter radiant infrared/UV energy. A powerful light bulb was set up on one side of the windows and a radiometer on the other. The radiometer had little to no movement, whereas double pane window examples caused the radiometer to turn wildly. He also used a solar meter to demonstrate the filtering ability of the windows. I also appreciated the strength and insulation capacity of the windows. As a separate sales pitch, the guy said the company was adamant about being on time and making the installation a breeze.Ill start with the installation issues. They had to reschedule twice for our first three windows. The fourth window was measured/ordered wrong, so they had to manufacture a new one. They rescheduled twice for that install, failed to show up entirely for the third scheduled appointment and ultimately took four months to get our fourth window in. About one month before that last window was installed, one of the owners himself called me personally (and lied through his teeth) saying he was standing in the warehouse looking at our windows that needed to be installed. I asked him how many windows he saw. He said (I paraphrase), Well, Ill have to check the order. I reminded him we had already had three windows installed, and the fourth was the last one. Then he perked up, Oh, yes, yes, I see here its just one window that needs to be put in. I desperately wish I would have talked with this owner first instead of the salesperson. The way this owner condescended and treated me disrespectfully, I would be $5,400 richer. I never would have paid the ridiculous amount they ask for these windows. However, having that fourth window delayed so long gave me a chance to test the scientific demonstration they gave on their windows during the sales pitch. I purchased a radiometer, and determined its rotation rate in front of the new windows and in front of my old window on the same face of the house. The windows on the opposite side of the house dont have the same radiant energy, so having the old window on the same face gave a more accurate comparison. I have videos showing the rotation rate of the radiometer in front of the new and old window (no option to post here). If the demonstration they gave was at all accurate, the radiometer should have had minimal spin when placed in front of the new window. The radiometer spun wildly in front of the new window. I tested this in morning, midday and evening sunlight. The radiometer had similar spin in front of the old and new windows.I also got a thermal imager to compare the heat distributions coming through the old and new windows. In the middle of winter, there was about a 3 degree F separation in temperature between the new triple pane windows versus my old double pane when tested at night. There was only about a 1.5 degree F difference during the day. One of the sales pitch aspects was that this temperature difference would save on my energy and gas bills. After having the windows in for several months, there has been no difference in my gas bill in this years bills or compared to last years bills. Energy (central air) bill hasnt come yet with the windows in, but Im not expecting to see a difference given that there was none with my heating bill.Beautiful double pane windows can be purchased for literally 1/8th the cost of these triple panes. Hansons oversells and underperforms on their windows. They are wildly, ridiculously overpriced. Im kicking myself for giving in to their sales pitch. They never once offered to give me a discount or recompense of any kind for their poor customer service, lack of showing up completely for an install and making us wait four months to get the last window in.
I originally signed up and had siding done through American Exteriors. We had a very difficult time getting the work completed and would go back and forth with the contractor and the manager Shiloh. There was fiqhy billing practices as well. In the midst of getting American Exteriors to finish the project and bill me correctly there was a switch to Hansons. I Was never notified the switch was taking place i called on a friday the company was American Exteriors I called the following Monday to find Hansons answering the phone. This is was back in December 2018. My issues and concerns were taken up the chain to what I was told was the Vice President of Hansons Marv. In January of 2019 Marv assured me they were a new company and they would right the wrongs American Exteriors had done. I Then did not hear a thing for several months. I Ended up reaching out trying to get a move on with finishing the project and paying for the work. Hansons had a contractor come out and tell me all the issues that still needed to be addressed (back door frame, leaking gutters and air conditioning cord) was not anything they needed to address even though American Exteriors specifically the Manager Shiloh promised they could fix and finish. I have now spent several weeks trying to get Hansons to let me pay them. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt being the company to inherit a mess but in January yhey made there own set of promises and have not upheld them either. They are no better then American Exteriors or Shiloh... whom is now emplyeed with Hansons.
Took forever to get all the windows in and then they a couple werent put in right. Im still waiting for them to fix it and its been over 6months.
