Chose to give my business because of the owners responses to negative reviews. #GetOwnedPlace is amazing, super clean, and owner is super awesome. Im here temporarily (staying at a hotel with a laundry facility) and will happily give Kathys all of my laundry business while here. My clothes came out so clean, and dried super fast on just medium heat. They were constantly cleaning and super friendly.Also, the owners responses to all the negative feedback is absolutely warranted. My mom worked at a laundromat when I was little and she was stuck cleaning up after nasty people all the time. This guy has high standards and I LOVE IT!!

Almost nobody here which is wonderful. Kind helpful service and everything is very clean. Also not super humid or 3rd worldly like many other locations. Even the machines are cleaned regularly. Im rather impressed. 4 loads for 4.50 and inexpensive drying! Rather wonderful! Will be coming back more often. Supposedly Thursdays are the best days to come in if you dont like large crowds. I can work and do laundry comfortably.

Very clean facility! Hand washing station, offers disinfectant wipes for your use, typically wipes and sanitizes after each customer use. Friendly staff, offers laundry supplies at a decent price, and washers come in a variety of sizes for good prices. Dryers get nice and hot and offer different heat settings. It’s worth the drive and time from wherever you’re coming from.

Super clean laundry mat! The workers are so nice and happy to help- great customer service! The workers are always there and they helped me out when I didn’t know what I was doing :) you can get cash back if you don’t have coins and the washers and dryers are super nice!

Wife went in with my mother in law to wash, our clothes came out with more stains than they came in. Mother in laws looked like there was rust or something on them. These are just regular clothes, no pet items or oily rags of the sort. Place is super clean I’ll give it that. Plus no public restrooms even though my wife is a paying customer. We won’t go there anymore, and before the owner replies to this: YES WE KNOW YOU DO NOT CARE About our business. We’ll be happy to go across the street or somewhere else in the valley.

The place is as clean as the advertizing pictures show. I am impressed with the maintenance standards (and I do not get easily impressed).

I have been going to Kathy’s Coin Laundry since before they had the new tile flooring or the automatic door. It’s always a great experience! The staff are nice and constantly cleaning which I appreciate. They have everything you may need available for sale if you forget something. All of the cameras make you feel safe too! I’ve tried going to go other laundromats to wash my big comforters since I live farther now however I have not found one as clean.

I use to come here since way back years and years when she use to have fresh brewed coffee on all time, its the best and cleanest laundry place I know, I have my children come wash there blankets here too. Some people say its expensive but cleanliness is good for me, price is good. Love it! Thank you.

We love your laundromat so much we make the commute all the way from bountiful. There are not many laundromat businesses that have the quality machines you have. And we have waste time and money trying to find something similar. Hands down the cleanest and best laundromat in salt lake valley! Definitely worth the commute! And owners are amazing at their customer service not every small business owner cares.

The workers are continually cleaning despite it being busy, the owner was polite and informative, coming over to me and letting me know that a variety of machines are located throughout the layout, and the place IS clean. The dryers are exceptionally priced and the wash machine prices are on par with what I’ve come across the rest of the country. The negative reviews seem to be from negative minded people.

Honestly, when I first read the reviews here, I thought, These negative commenting customers are stupid. I HAVE to go there! Here I am and its fine. I see nothing like others have talked about. Clean as all get up and prices are not high.If you think prices are high, wash your clothes in a tub and save money for your own washer dryer set. 25 cents to start the dryer is a great deal and washing my king size duvet for $6 was as well. Maybe Im just not cheap, but Ill be back when I either get a load way too big to lug down to my laundry room or need to wash my duvet again.Bathroom is super clean, roomy and has a changing table, thats a huge plus.Great movie selection for kiddos as well.Thanks for your help with the washer since I needed high capacity but didnt know just how big. I look forward to coming back.

I was pleasantly surprised how clean it was!! Great price for using a high capacity washer! It was only $6.50 and I was able to fit what would’ve been 3 loads into 1! Really friendly staff as well! Best laundromat I have ever been to. I will definitely return!

The coin laundry is extremely clean and the services provided are exceptional. After looking at the other reviews, Ive noticed complaints of Not have dryer use only, but I understand where the owner is coming from. It is a place for customers to be provided with washing, drying, and folding. This creates the perfect balance and less clutter. I highly recommend this laundromat.

This place Rocks. We were actually welcomed in the door. Not only that but they took the time to direct us to the proper machine for our load. Exceptionally polite and helpful.*Ive been to other laundry mats before where you as the individual are completely on your own. Sometimes even the coin machine would not work.

I do not use Laundry mats very often. Usually just for bedding. My washer broke so we brought all the laundry here. I was not paying attention when I was putting in the laundry soap and fabric softener and switched them in the slots. The attendant saw what I did and stopped me. She was very polite and helped me switch machines and cleaned out the slots. She was very nice about it. I felt dumb but she did not treat me like I was lol. I love this place. And also another time I left some clothes in the washer and she came and asked me if they were mine. I love this place!!

Clean laundry mat... bathrooms are clean and the employees are always willing to help! I do love the 50 cent large trash bags they sell!!! It’s huge and 5 of my blankets all fit in it! I love coming here .

As soon as I walked in the doors I immediately knew this place was not clean and has horrible service.

This is the CLEANEST most pleasant Laundromat I have ever been in. This place deserves more than 5 stars. Friendly and helpful staff. The thing I like the most is that they wont let people bring nasty laundry into their facility which keeps their equipment clean for others to use.

Very poor service, I saw a looking Asian man that works there a few minutes ago screaming furiously to a customer and using an inappropriate language while I saw rugs all over the floor. Never go there!!! There are places where you are welcome, but definitely not kathi’s coin laundry.

My family & I are regulars here and we love it! Cheap & always clean! Best laundromat in the area. I saw a few negative reviews but sounds like most of them are new comers or just drying. Read the signs people, most laundromats ask for a $1.00 to start up when theirs is only .25 best deal out there. Glad that we’re just down the road. Lol but for sure 5 stars!

Its a great place. There is always someone working and there to help when needed. The employees are always cleaning and all are friendly. There is free wifi which is nice while waiting. I can dry a full load of laundry in just 24 minutes with the big dryers that cost a quarter for 6 minutes. Love the clean white floors. There are a good amount of folding tables. There isnt mold in the soap areas like other laundry places I have been. Prices are good. This place is recommended.

Whenever I need to go to a laundromat I find myself coming back here. I’ve been coming here for 6 years cleanest laundromat I’ve been to.

My dryer broke so I needed to dry my clothes only. I came into the shop hoping to dry my clothes and I saw a sign saying it is not permitted. So I called and asked if I could this one time since I had wet clothes and needed to dry duento my dryer breaking. The lady told me no I cannot. I asked her why and she said it was for customers only. I started to explain I would be a customer by paying for the drying service which is all I needed and she said they are busy and hung up on me. Very bad customer service. I am left with wet clothes and no way to dry them. A good company should never hang up on their customers and I don’t see what was wrong with helping a paying member of the community in a time of need.

The owner is really nice! The business is well thought out. No charge atm, snacks, movies on flat screens and soap and supplies if you dont have any. His mom is reserved but she and her crew keep the place spotless! All the machines are new.I wish she was more friendly but all in all its a great place!

Plenty of machines and plenty of places to sit/lounge while you wait for your clothes. Staff makes sure its always clean and provide WiFi for its patrons. And yes - theres vending machines and movies playing for toddlers.

We went on a Saturday night when it was a bit busy. The manager and his staff were all so helpful and incredibly nice. It is very clean. I would go out of my way to go to this place again.

I always do my laundry here! Its the cleanest and cheapest laundry mat in the area. The staff are hard workers and are always friendly. With free WiFi and surrounding stores and food places, youll always have something to do while you wait for your clothes. I always recommend everyone I know to go wash at Kathys :)

First time coming here to start off we got approached by one of the staff memebers andhe explained the prices and stuff for us (we looked confused ) it is a good price, very clean ! The man that aprovhed us has been asking people if they need help, taking out trash, just helping people, overall nice environment will be coming back I Was skeptical from all bad reviews but it’s understandable that you need to wash and dry not only dry it’s on the doors when you come in 🤦🏽‍♀️ Will recommend this place and will be coming back .

Rude staff which takes away from the cleanliness. There are other places just as clean with no waiting along with friendlier staff. Across the street for instance is a much more wonderful laundromat.

Very nice laundromat with large size washers and dryers, with an attended to answer questions and drpp off items for cleaning.

When I went there last the manager sounded like a communist dictator. I was just checking the coin return to see if there was any coins left in change return and I got yelled at and threatened. The laundry mat just across the street is alot better. I recommend the laundry mat accross the street.

Im on the fence after reading these reviews. I went here last weekend because my washer broke down. So I ONLY WASHED 3 loads and took them home to dry. Do I get a discount on my next visit since my washer is still broken?The place is very clean and I saw a row of new machines (waiting to be put in?) cant say about prices because I havent been to a laundromat in decades so needless to say I was shocked but then the price of every thing has gone up.Kinda felt like I was being watched by the employees but didnt know why. My clothes were not muddy, sandy, greasy, or otherwise gross So maybe staff could have been a little more helpful and friendly to a potential new customer

Just reading the angry responses from the owner despite glowing reviews, I will never go to this place. Sometimes your dryer breaks and you need to just dry and if your are mistreated for that, no way would I refer others to use this facility. I have many connections and this is so sad to read many angry nasty responses. Calling someone a maggot another dumb ? Are you kidding? No way! Not customer service oriented, so I am going to call the owner greedy and sad!

Its their business, and they can run it however they want. However, I will not be coming back. I just dont understand why you would turn away paying customers just because they need the dryers more than the washers. Last I checked the quarters put in a dryer spend the exact same way as the quarters put in a washer. And maybe restock your change machines on occassion.

My dryer broke so I went here with batches of clean wet laundry to dry. Despite the fact that there was a wall lined with empty dryers, I was not allowed to dry only. Be warned they do not allow use of dryers only...even if the dryers are not in use.

Now I have been here before, same owners still but looks like they remodeled and updated their name to Kathys Coin Laundry. And even with the new neon sign and automatic door, this is not a new place, as the front banner states. Because I remember coming here as a teen with my grand parents in the 90s.I talked to Lily, who has been working there for years and asked her about the signs they have posted. She explained that this laundromat has stricter policies than other places. The sign states no oily, greasy items, no pet beds, no rite dye allowed, etc. All of which leaves big messes that are hard to clean and will eventually get onto other peoples clothes. Which you see with other un-attended laundromats.The no dry policy she said was due to the increase of people that come in just wanting to use a dryer, but as anyone that come here know that it is busy everyday. And if youre washing, spending $30-40 or more on laundry, you dont want to wait for a dryer because someone left their clothes inside hours ago. Also supposedly they turn away 2-3 people a day that want to used just the dryer, and if they did not prohibit this there would be no dryers to use and the laundromat would do out of business.Yes this place is very strict, ORGANIZED, CLEAN, ATTENDED, AND FRIENDLY. If this place wasnt strict with their rules, it would be a lot like other laundromats in the area, dirty, smelly, unkept, no workers, dark and machines that didnt work.This laundromat (since its renovations) is the biggest and cleanest. Ive been to a few others and none of them come close, especially prices. Here $2 for single load, $4.50 4 load, $6.50 6 load and HUGE 8 load for $8.50. Everywhere else is .50 to $1 more than Kathys.I really like this place, so does all my family that still live in West Valley and Kearns. We always come here for our big items and sleeping bags.
