I go every 2 weeks to cash my payroll check never had an issue. Today 7/16/2021 I went in to cash my check and open a checking and saving account, they denied me due to an expired I.D. I told them my situation how the DLD was booked out until 7/21/2021 showed them an email confirming my appointment to renew my I.D, still denied.I will no longer want to open an account with this bank, they can’t even help do a simple overwrite on an expired ID. This place is a joke.

I want to thank Gus Parcells & Jentri from the loan department. They both were very helpful patient and did a phenomenal job from the start. This bank has helped and provided me with financial assistance wether it be from a loan, credit card or a banking account. So put in a transfer of $600 around 1140-noon and never went through wasnt able to cancel and at 1611 it finally is taken out of my account yet not showing in the other account and shows in account summary that the $600 is going to transfer the next day. Called customer service and no info, called again after i was told a call back and they said it takes up to 3 business days

Went to cash a check at this branch and they made me feel like a criminal, like I was trying to scam them. They asked me why I wanted to cash the check. They would not cash it even though I have been a member for a long time. I drove 20 min to another branch and they cashed it no problem.

Universitys WVC branch is always friendly and welcoming. Dania and Emilee are helpful and dont make me feel dumb. I think the tellers are knowledgeable as well. Loan applications are easy and rates are great. I love U of U credit union and would recommend for anyone.

What happened? The Credit Union used to be great! This location never seems to have the same employees which probably contributes to the problem. Also heaven help you if you ask for the bathroom. Its heavily guarded-- much like the Colonel with his chicken recipe. Try your luck somewhere else.

Don’t waste your time with UFCU. There are better credit unions. They use very user unfriendly online systems and aren’t empathetic when those systems fail you.

I went to this branch to cash my payroll check which written on their check and I was denied, later to find out that I was denied due being racially profiled because my payroll check looked fraudulent (in the words of the manager, checks like these have a high fraudulent rate) meanwhile my coworkers husband was able to cash her check for her with no issues! Do not go to this branch, they are very unprofessional and when my boss escalated the issue to the Regional Membership Development Manager, he did not take responsibility for these discriminatory actions. I wish I could give a negative star rating because that is what is deserved.

When I started with UCU it was great. But now there app rarely shows correct info. Including charges. They do this so you pay fees for charges you think are complete and show weeks even months later. You might as well keep your check book ledger because there online banking and app will not be right. If it is theyre error if you call to let them know its you or your phone. In 3 months I had so many issues I gave up. Enjoy reverting back to the 80s for banking technology.

The people are nice! But they never have the right answers! They systems are down and I cant make a deposit I cant even call the branchs to see which one is open! so I have the drive across town to deposit my money and then that bank cant take my money eitherI hate this bank and of you get a chance do not bank with them University federal credit union is the worst!!! Wish I could leave a lower star rating!

I am on a car loan with my Grandpa, who is now deceased. One day while making a payment I informed a clerk that he is no longer living, and I saw no point in keeping his name on the loan.I am behind on this loan because I left an abusive relationship with nothing and fell behind in most regards, not just with this company.The clerk told me to bring in his death certificate, and they would take him off so I did about a week later, they sat me down, and after a moment of waiting the woman walks back in and tells me they cant take him off until I catch up my payments fully!I was so angry I just got up, and walked out.They are refusing to take a deceased man off for what? So they can go after him if I take too long to catch up? Well good freaking luck with that, and thanks for waisting my gas money!

Phone is always ringing for days on end. no one else ever offers to help. the manager is always in her office doing work probably? i have waited and waited....if i didnt have to go into the credit union I would chose not to. Emily on the other hand is always helpful and respectful.

I came in today to find out how to get my credit up to snuff. They helped me settle old debts, got me a line of credit and even got me going with a credit card! The staff was very helpful and friendly and even prepared me with next steps, and other financial advice. Ill be banking here forever!

Dania, I think thats how you spell it, is very unprofessional. She constantly says she will give you a call within an hour or when she hears something and never does either but when you call she lies and says Oh I was just thinking about you and was going to call you!! I got the information we were waiting for. I was getting my car loan into my own name and at first I said Ill get the warranty but while STILL ON THE PHONE, my mom and I told her nevermind its pretty well the same warranty that I already have. I asked her before I got to the union to sign the first time to get my car fully into my own name this payment is without the warranty right? And she told me YES. Which made me confused because I was told without it Id only have to pay $230 something but she told me I have to pay $268 which is why I asked if that was without the warranty. And she shouldve been reading it too then because in it the people approving the loan didnt see that she wrote I dont want the warranty. ALSO she tried blaming ME for my loan getting signed into my own name and the warranty being put on when I said I didnt want it and my mom said I didnt want it, because I didnt read what I was signing. When I had put my trust after she told me I wouldnt be paying for the warranty and had been told MULTIPLE times that the warranty wouldnt be put on. She also didnt have the screen really facing me and just clicked through everything until I had to sign. This is my first time doing this, I just barely turned 20 and she took advantage of it. And now Ive waited over a month to just get a new payment amount with the warranty taken off. And shes telling me I may have to pay the amount (again) of what the payment would be for the car payment with the warranty. I shouldnt have to pay for that since I didnt want it to begin with. Im sure once I call today shell say that the reimbursement came through a few days ago and was just going to call me! Its been nothing but a bad experience with her. She shouldnt be in the position she is. And she needs to learn to take responsibility. And idk if its a thing that your place does but you shouldnt try and take advantage of your clients.

I went through the drive up window and got the worst customer service I’ve ever had at a bank or CU. Her tone was angry, said “what are we doing to ya” in a hostile way. After the transaction got an equally angry sounding “card and receipt”. I thanked her, didn’t get one back. I really loathe going there. The tellers in general seem like exhausted teenagers going through some sort of crisis. This institution could really use a change in its work culture.

Had to wait for 45 minutes while the asst. manager had a discussion with another customer. Apparently no other employee had access to adding another person to a business account. So we waited, and waited. Then when its our turn, they dont even have record of me being a co-signer on the account which has been setup for nearly 10 years! Incompetence to the extreme.

Very dissatisfied with the service I received from Arianna at this location she was very rude and lacked tact. Poor customer service skills. I was trying to help my sister open a bank account and they turned her away saying that her proof of residency would not suffice. After this I spoke with a manager at a different branch and they disagreed with the way that Arianna handled this and said we could open it at their location. Dont go to this location unless you want your time wasted.

This was the worst experience i have ever had with a financial institution. That includes pay day lenders. I dont have good credit but i have made every payment on time for a year an my auto loan. So i asked if they would refinance my loan. Alex the employee I worked with promised to call me back after talking to the underwriters. When i finally called him back he laughed at me and i quote We dont need your weak as credit score in here. I made a lot of financial mistakes as a kid but Im a good person and I have been working really hard to fix my credit. The elitist jerk Alex needs a reality check treating people like that is not acceptable.

My Father has over $100000.00 in a CD at the branch on 2700 S. Redwood road and we needed to withdraw $40K, we were charged a penalty which was $7 short of the whole amount of interest the CD had ever made then the balance was put into a savings account instead of remaining in the CD but we were not told of this. A few weeks later when he called to ask about the penalty we found out about the savings account. He needed to pull another $20K and called to ask if I could go get it without him if he gave them permission because he is over 80 years old and has cancer and it was 20 degrees outside. I was waiting at the Credit Union while he was on the phone with them but the manager at that branch decided that she wouldnt do it unless he was there so my sister said she would bring him over. I asked them to get everything ready so he didnt have to wait but when he got there we had to wait for over an hour while the manager was sitting in her office with someone else. Finally my sister went in her office and asked what the hold up was and the manager walked out and told one of the window clerks to help us. She had no idea what we were there for and didnt understand english very well. It took her over 30 minutes to get our transaction done and to top it off, we were told they didnt have $20K in cash and said wed have to take a check and after it was written they actually charged us a dollar for having to take a check. This is absolutly ludicrious that not only were we completly ignored for almost 2 hours but that because they didnt have our money in cash they charged us to take a check after taking all the interest the CD had ever made and not telling us about the savings account the balance was put in making no interest. Our plan is to pull all remaining funds and close all CDs there and put it in a fair and competent facility ASAP. We have never been charged a penalty over $30 when pulling from a CD in any other bank and have never been charged for a cashiers check. I cant believe that we were treated so poorly and ignored after they were fully aware of my fathers health condition and that a 5 minute transaction took almost 2 hours to complete just because your manager was having a good time chatting with someone in her office. She was visibly irritated when my sister interrupted her to get some service. Please forward this to someone who has the authority to address our concerns and try to fix this kind of problem at this branch, as I see that we are not the inly ones who have had a problem there.

I have had completely wonderful experiences at this branch since day one. The manager knows me by name when I walk in and has always helped with my questions and concerns with all family accounts. I believe, as with any business, we are treated as well as we treat the employees. Banking doesnt always go our way, but dont take it out on the employees who are following the rules.
