There have been many times in my life where I just needed a little extra cash and a few times when I needed enough to pay off a light bill or groceries. Check City has always had my back. Their fees are in my opinion reasonable and the times I was in over my head, they worked with me. I will continue to work with them as they did with me and continue to use their services. As always, never borrow more than you can pay back.

There is a Mexican lady that asked for my id when I went for the first time and it was only a money order for 500 and she kept denying saying I went more then once and wasn’t being nice at all giving attitude as soon as we started talking. Wouldn’t recommend

Love these guys. Even when I want to cash a check from a bank that’s open, I’d rather give these guys the money! Less expensive, and it’s their business. Can’t tell you how annoying it is to have a large greedy bank charge me to collect my own money. Thanks check city!

The people that works there are nice and recognize you as you walk in the door. Employees treat you like a real person not a person waiting in line. I enjoy the check city in south salt lake.

Friendly staff. Professional. Cashed my check when no one else would; Fee was a bit high though. I guess when you have no one else to turn to they are there, but it can be expensive.

Check City is always there when I need them.... If you need fast cash, Check City is the place to go if you can afford. Easy n simple in n out.

I read through all the negative reviews and dont understand them. If you have all the paperwork, fill out necessary forms.. Any establishment that loans money should be quick and simple.. It Sure Was For Me At This Check City! Staff is Great! And Vanessa was incredibly helpful!

Check city its a great way to get money in advance before your pay check they dont hide rates form you at the end, professional personal and friendly.

I started coming here 6 months ago to send money to my husband and found I could get money off my card while there and get a money order but after 6 months of coming here for most of my cash needs and seem less transactions. I get one unbelievably rude employee when told me I had to fill out their application to get money from an ATM transaction. 6 months and I never had to fill out an application. It wouldnt have been so bad had the employee not got a really bad attitude when I asked basic questions as to why I had to have an application to get my money from an ATM.I wont be coming here again.

These guys have been just great to work with and if youre not a bonehead and you actually pay the money back in a timely fashion the interest is not bad at all... I borrowed 400 bucks for a couple of weeks and it cost me $42 theyre awesome highly recommended.

Just learned that my rates went up. Not a good thing...

I blew it. I failed to cover a large loan payment on time because I forgot about it. And I had nothing to put on it. I called them to let them know the check was rubber and it bounced hard. I was expecting a bad boy speech and instead I was treated like GOLD. The collection people were better then great. They helped me work out a recovery plan to resolve this mess. And to add to all this, they never asked for the whole amount. They only asked for what I could do and had concern it wasnt going to put me into a bind. They worked out a plan with me that was manageable. Of course there are late fees but that was my fault, not theirs. Dont hide from these people. They will work with you. What is even better, Once it is paid its erased. It never happened. Yeah, I will be back and so will all I recommend.

This location is Absolutely terrible! I don’t understand why its even here. I have came to this location 3 times now. They wont cash a personal check, even though everything is good and everything checks out with the check. Its almost like they don’t even have cash. Every other location will cash the same check, every time without any issues.

Hospitable, Courteous, Competent Customer Service has only been my experience here for several years continuing. Regarded as asset for me.

Very unfriendly staff members and $12.50 to cash a check when you can easily go to Walmart and cash your check for $3 but not recommend this place to anyone. This place is no better than the scam artist that we protect ourselves from but somehow theyre legal.

I like the fact this place cashes personal checks hand written. No place in Utah seems to want to do this for anyone. Thank you for your extended hours and policy on personal checks.

Interest rates are way too high and they dont report to any of the 3 credit bureaus. Find somewhere else to get a loan or you will be paying more than twice what you borrowed.

Christmas eve hours were posted online as being open until 7. At 6:20 the store was locked, lights off and no staff. I am not very happy about this misleading information. This caused a discrepancy to my holiday plans.

The employees are awesome and theyre great listeners the only thing bad about this check city is the manager she pulls out stupid s*** she is not a great manager she does not listen to what you need to say I called to try to change my address so they could have the correct one on file but she needed proof of my new address isnt that stupid apparently she does not want my new address
