Nothing worse than hot air coming from an old air conditioner. A call to Ranger Air brought Jerry that afternoon. What I thought would be a new system, was a quick and easy fix. This is my second call to them…..the first being the annual service. I was invited to see the problem and watch the fix. Jerry was very thorough…made sure temps were cooling. Its difficult to find an HVAC tech that can properly diagnose and repair, many just want to replace the entire unit. So after finding a real tech rather than an installer I wanted to pass on my positive experience with Ranger. Customer serviced was polite and scheduled an appointment for that morning. Jerry called and was able to arrive early, diagnosed the problem in less than five minutes, and within three hours returned with the replacement part and was finished. The price was excellent for the time spent and cost of parts. Very fair and honest. I would highly recommend Ranger.

My wife and I returned from running errands to find out thermostat blank and our AC completely unresponsive. I called Ranger Air, not expecting to hear back from them as it was after hours, and received a follow up call within 10-15 minutes. I hired this company to fix my AC unit. They were timely and knowledgeable but very pricey. I agreed to their quote of $750 ($350 labor and $400 in parts), thinking the repair required a lot of labor/time. So I was very surprised that he completed the job in only 40 minutes. I later checked with another company with 5 star Yelp ratings for the same job and they quoted me $485 ($85 labor and $400 parts). I wish I had checked around before giving Ranger the job and a lot of my money :-(

Armed with 3 previous competitor quotes, I was looking to replace two A/C units, but also wanted some ducting moved in the attic to improve air flow and open up an area to be used for storage. I thought it would be prudent to have the ducting work performed and give me a chance to see their work. Keep in mind, this was described as an quick easy task; moving the air box closer inline to the air handling unit and rerouting a few flex line to improve efficiency. The exact opposite work was performed. The box is now further away and the flex lines look like spaghetti (doubling back on themselves with excess flex haplessly/randomly routed.) In fact, flow is almost non-existent to my daughters room, due to restriction created by the flex hose folded over on itself. I emailed Jerry with my concerns only to be replied with unprofessionalism and unwillingness to accept responsibility. Im glad this was $8K mistake.As a veteran myself, I admittedly was hoping for excellence and superior workmanship as Jerry initially described of his crews, but was met with a crew 3 hours late arriving and work that needs to be redone.

The team arrived promptly at 10am and made sure to keep my wife and I updated throughout the entire install. I found Ranger Air & Heat on the internet and i liked the fact that it was a veteran-owned company. These initial feelings have been justified far beyond my expectations. I was impressed with my initial contact with Jerry Lawson 2 years ago when he first inspected my a/c system. Since then, his technicans have done an excellent annual inspection every year . They had informed me this year that my a/c was going to wear out soon and so i had Jerry come out and give me an estimate for a replacement system. His quote was much more reasonable than i expectedly and he promised me that he would have the new unit installed soon after after i requested them. As the technicans predicted, the a/c begun to run all the time and so i called Jerry for a replacement before my electric bill got too high. Three days later his team had installed a new condenser and airhandler at my town home. But what makes his organization stand out us the fact that the unit he quoted us was out in stock so rather than let my family suffer without a/c Jerry installed a condenser just for me to use until mine arrived. For me this is proof that Jerry Lawson cares more about serving his customers needs than just making the sale. He is the epitome of an honest businessman and i give Ranger Air and Heat my highest recommendation

Just had Ranger perform a warranty repair of my 7 year old AC. Had one company come out and try to sell me a new unit stating that it couldnt be warrantied. Had other companies quote me $800 more than Ranger for same job. Ranger did the warranty repair quickly, professionally, and for a reasonable price. House is now cold again. A very friendly, cost effective, and efficient AC company. Being a home owner for a long time, Ive had my share of bad when it comes to AC repair companies, but Ranger is amazing! Joe is the tech who came out, was less than an hour after I called and it wasnt an emergency, theyre just efficient. After spending about an hour diagnosing the issue he was able to fix my ac and it did not cost me much at all, I was amazed. Joe was awesome because he explained what was going on, why some parts werent talking to others, and gave me solutions. Even the receptionist was easy to talk to and explained everything they do. They will check to see if your ac has a warranty vs just charging you. This is now my AC company.Thank you Joe and Ranger Air!

Had a clogged drain line the tech came out and informed me of how to keep my system running through the summer heat. Dispatcher megan was very professional and made sure I was serviced that same day I called on.

Its unfortunate that I have to write this review about a fellow veterans company but beware of this company. I first had ranger come out to clean my air ducts because I was moving into a new house. 4 months later I still have debris coming out of my vents. I have a tune up on my system done last friday. The technician did not properly secure my control panel or screw my coolant lines tightly. The ac unit shut off 2 days later at which point I found these issues. I had to re secure the control panel and coolant valves myself and was able to get the unit back on. This company has refused to come out and fix the issue. Do not waste your time with this company. They always assume the customer is wrong

Our air conditioner gave out after 15 years. We called two other companies and Ranger Air. The other two companies gave much higher bids and were willing to sell stuff that we did not need. After meeting with Jerry we decided that he was the only service that was looking out for us. They came quickly before Hurricane Dorian and replaced our current air conditioner. They were very professional and did a great job. Cleaned everything up. We also had a mini-split that was moldy. This was our second mini-split and I asked Jerry about it, and he said that we had an oversize mini-split and there was no reason for it. We had Ranger Air replace the mini-split as well. Once again, the team came out and replaced the existing mini-split. The team cleaned up the mounting area and installed the mini-split. They made it look better than the others companies have. They were very helpful and wanted to make sure I was satisfied with how the work was done. This both the main air conditioner and the new mini-split are cooling as they should. I fully recommend Jerrys team at Ranger Air. Awesome work.

An absolutely stellar company, owner and crew. The owner arrived promptly and was friendly, and courteous enough to wait for a storm to pass to finish his inspection. The next day, a Saturday, his crew came out and did the repair. They were on time, professional and quick. Ranger air was referred to us after another well known company told us we would be better off just financing through them for a new ac for $7000 rather than paying the large expense theyd require to fix it. We called Ranger on June 21 due to our air conditioner was cutting off before it cool off the house. Nelson the other tech came out they checked the system for malfunctions, cleaned the coil and cleaned the drain line. I was thinking this is going to break the bank on this call. They explained everything and was very professional. We were very surprised how inexpensive the bill was. These guys were honest and knew what they are doing. They even stayed over past their closing time. I would call them again.

Theyve been to my house several times over a few years and ALWAY get the job done affordably. One time they had to make a few extra trips to diagnose and fix the issue. They could have justified charging for that time and they didnt. I always appreciate their service. Put Rangers number in your contact list. Today they bypassed a heating switch and set the indoor unit to control it turning on which saved me from paying for a part that would have been expensive (time and material) if I could find it at all. The life of my AC doesnt justify the part and its not dead yet. Thank you Ranger! ~ J

Jerry is great, our centeal ac died (it was 17 years old) and I didnt know a reliable heat/ac person. Got a few estimates that just seemed a bit off. Then a friend recommended Jerry at Ranger and we knew right off that we found a great person and company. Now we have a completely new Carrier product unit for 25% less than than the next best estimate. Installation was professional and very clean. I can highly recommend Ranger heat and air conditioning.

Contacted them this morning and Jerry, the owner was here by 12:30. Listened to our concerns. Checked everything out and then explained to my husband that he could take care of the issue himself. Or if we wanted Ranger to do it he could schedule an appointment. No pressure, no gloom and doom predictions. There wad no charge for the visit. That is unheard of. Will absolutely call again when needed.

Joe came to my house to perform an a/c tune up. He was very professional and knowledgeable. My drain line was clogged and was causing my a/c to drip water. He cleaned out the clogged, pumped the excess water, and gave me advice to keep my line clean. The price was fair and definitely worth it. Ranger air and heat will now be my go to for any future problems and tune ups. I highly recommend giving them a call if you have any a/c problems.

Very impressed with the owner. He was prompt, showed up on time or early, did what he said he would do, had reasonable rates, and did not sell me on a system that was more than I needed. It was nice working directly with the owner who clearly knew his stuff and his team proved to be extremely capable as well. Got an appointment with a window between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Joey showed up at 2:59, and got right to work. Besides prompt, he was friendly, took time to explain the root cause of the issue, as well as what he was going to do. I will definitely call them again.Edit: Two years later and I still stand by this review. This place just “gets it”. I still call them! From Maria who answered the call at their office and asked some questions and ended up being right about what was wrong, to Jerry showing up before the estimated time, walked me through the process and fixed it within about 30-45 minutes. Finding honest and reliable small businesses can be tough. I strongly recommend Ranger Air & Heat with my HVAC issues.

I called Ranger based on a recommendation from a friend. My renter called to tell me there was a problem with the a/c and they were upset as a wedding was scheduled to be held at the home the next day.I was sure no company would make it out in the same day, much less have the unit up and running Ranger returned my call within 25 minutes and said they could be out in less than 3 hours. My a/c decided it didnt want to cool anymore. I called out 3 companies, 2 said it could not be fixed I had to purchase a new one. The last one said he could fix it for $1100 so I should just install a new one. I was talking to a friend of mine about it and he told me to call Jerry with Ranger Air and Heat. I did and am I ever glad that I did! Jerry came out and fixed the a/c in less than a half hour and less than $100. He has excellent customer service, what a god send! I can’t say enough about the promptness and caring of this company. I have had ac issues twice in the past. My neighbor recommended Ranger heat and air. My first experience with them proved that they were compassionate and caring . I suffer terribly from asthma and my air went down. I went over to my neighbor, and he said call Ranger. He will surely take care of you . I called, he was out the same day and fixed my ac. Fast forward to October 8th, 2018... my daughter was scheduled to have major surgery on October 9th. I got up on the morning of October 8th and my ac was down. I called Ranger air in sheer panic. I was going to have to get an air B and B if I couldn’t get him out to help me . I explained my situation and lo and behold he was at my house at 2:00 pm. He fixed my air temporarily and came back on Wednesday to fix it.
