Our son loves this dojo and academy that teaches life skills, self respect, sense of community and gives him a clear goal and path to attain his black belt!!! Master Frenel is a phenomenal role model and friend to these kids!!!! Highly recommend

Mr Franel is great with the kids. Our son loves going here!10/17 - updating my review - while I do believe Master Frenel is great with the kids - this is a money making venture. Master Frenel approached us about our son joining the black belt club. We were not sure how long we would be in Oregon as we had moved for a short period for work. When my husband expressed concern about the cancellation fee and the long contract, Master Frenel promised if we moved for work, we would not be charged that fee. We paid the $250 fee to join the black belt club, and the $120 monthly fee. When we found out we were moving back to Texas for work in September, I gave our 30 day notice in August. We were charged the $120 monthly fee for September (which we are fine with), but we were also charged a $600.00 cancellation fee. We have tried to get this resolved with Mater Frenel for over a month now at no avail. I just wanted to warn other parents who may be interested in doing the black belt club - no matter what they tell you, they will not honor any verbal promises made at signing time. We should have listened to our gut and not signed him into a 12 month contract. It saddens me to leave this review, because we did love it so much, but I do feel like people deserve fair warning.

Great Instructors and I appreciate the respect the kids learn. Ive tried the private lessons and been very helpful and what a great workout.

Master Frenel is great. He works with our 5-year-old for Little Dragons ($100/month; 2x per week) and I was really impressed with his patience and focus on family, education and taekwondo. From our experience, OTA has been ideal place for a young child to start their martial arts path. Will definitely start our second child when she turns 5. Thanks OTA!
