Are usually don’t share my experience here but I had amazing experience today sending a very important documents. There was a girl there named Wendy she helped me so much! I just wanted to say thank you and to recommend this place because she was a wonderful and very helpful and friendly:)
A couple things that led to a generally unpleasant visit: First, 2 out of the 3 clerks weren’t wearing masks. Second, when I asked for stamps at the window the clerk was like, are you some kind of comedian? I was confused and was like what? She said we don’t have any stamps that you can buy, these are coming out tomorrow and aren’t in the system. That was an outright lie because I saw she had plenty of sheets of stuff that’s been out for a long time, those ugly Backyard games stamps and a few others. She said if you want to buy stamps use your debit card at the machine. Is this not a post office lady…
THE absolute WORST! I went in to mail a package that falls under the category of being a “FLAT.”. Not a flat rate, a FLAT that is priced less expensively that a parcel. “Miss Attitude” insisted it was a package and refused to acknowledge the PRINT OUT from the USPS website I showed her that proved my package was a flat. I even showed her a package I received that was labeled “FLAT” and when I pointed this out the manager yelled at me from the top of her lungs that the sender had “Gotten away with murder!”. Seriously? I took it to another post office, used the self service kiosk and mailed it with the correct “FLAT” postage rate and it arrived no problem. Avoid this location at all costs. Just a lot of mouthy, rude and disgruntled employees.
They let me pay for everything and then let me know at the end that they don’t have tape so I couldn’t close and mail my package.
Long waits. Not the most helpful desk agents... definitely do your research for whatever you need done before going in.Borderline hostile tones, but maybe they’re just on the defensive from numerous problem customers? I get it’s not an easy job all the time, but you did sign up for it...
Unbelievably rude & unhelpful staff. Please get new employees.
Horrible location, run down, everything broken and looks like a prision,
Nobody can work when they are at the PO for 2 hours midday, just to return my P.O. Box keys. There was one worker and a line of 30 waiting folks, between 12:30 pm to 2pm. Killing me !!!!
I came here at exactly 4pm on Sept 23rd, 2020. I waited in line for more than 5 minutes but less than 10. I finally left as I realized it would take another 10+ min in line. No biggie. However... one of the four USPS people working the windows was NOT wearing a mask the entire time. Not even a mask hanging down her chin or neck. NOTHING! She was dealing with a customer who was wearing a mask as was everyone else at the branch - except for this employee. This is unacceptable.
Sketchy. Slow. Didnt get service.
The lady that called me to the counter was rude and walked away from me in the middle of my transaction and went to play on the computer in the back room. Not the best experience.
Unbelievably rude and unhelpful employees.
You can tell the employees hate their job and it shows in their interactions with customers.
I would not recommend dropping off your packages at this location. I used the drop box and was informed that it could “take a while” to scan the packages. Mine have not been scanned after dropping them off a week ago.
Doesn’t answer phone calls or tickets. My medication arrived at your location (was supposed to be delivered to my residence legitimately 7 days ago). 0/5 if I could.
I have never had a bad experience at this location. The personnel have always been courteous, efficient, helpful, and extremely patient.
Please educate your employees on the specific parameters of your flat rate packages. For the first time in years, this clueless woman decided to try and tell me that flat rate envelopes must be flat. That is not not the case, as verified by your website and corporate representatives. The package cannot e reconstructed, though can be reinforced at seams with tape, but there are no thickness limitations as long as the vessel still seals at the same spot that was intended.Shes returned a bunch of orders to me that had guarenteed delivery dates, as well as a $30 priority Express shipment she KNEW was for my mothers birthday the next day. She also knew that I had paid more for a padded express envelope, but you were out of them. She agreed to accept it, scanned it, then returned it to me anyway, knowing its importance as i sat there waiting to receive her confirmation it would arrive as planned. Now, shes robbed me of that $30 since the parcel was scanned, and therefore cannot be voided. Not to mention the nighmare shes caused in damage control and making this right with my customers.EDUCATE. PLEASE.
The Postal Rep was very helpful to me recently when I had some questions recently at this Post Office... My grandfather on my dads side managed this West Hollywood Post Office on Fairfax Ave during 1950s as, Superintendent, So, I often use this Post Office W/ positive results.
If you go early, its a good experience. Parking can be a hassle, sometimes I have to circle around the block for 5-10 minutes before finding a space. But the tellers are friendly if you go prepared with your shipment already packaged up, and labeled correctly. If you go early, youre in and out in 5 minutes.
Hello. I sent package on February #RJ610313591UA. Please, check it again. The receiver opened the case (
Listen, most post offices are understaffed and under supported. But the result is poor customer service and late/lost items. However, my empathy for them doesnt change my experience. While Id like to think low ratings would gain the attention of management, Im pretty sure The United States postal service doesnt care two bits about ratings.
This is the ONLY post office I have ever been to in my life that actually was out of stamps! Pretty much the only thing they do really...sort of like a restaurant being open but once you wait in line for an hour for a table the waiter tells you they have no food to sell you!You know this is a government post office because all the employees are black women checking their phones or talking to each other while the line grows longer. They have also been out of money orders on 3 separate occasions. Sure they will tell you where you can get them...another post office but pretty much not the point.Terrible customer service...in fact, there is no customer service.
I saw two black ladies assaulting elderly white woman who was complaining about not receiving her mail for over two months. She had a very heavy yet understandable accent. It appears that both employees were joking about her broken English constantly implying that she did not understand what they were telling her. Actually none of the people waiting to get service seemed not understanding why one could not get his mail for such prolonged period of time either. If you can use other location, do not go to this one. It is not the first time I see them not doing their gob properly.
Incredibly rude, the amount of attitude is staggering! One employee doesnt know anything (to any of my questions she replies oh I dont know why), the other young girl rolls her eyes when I ask her for a form that is not on the table where all the labels & forms are suppose to be, she could have given it to me since it is withing her hand reach, but no, with hand wave off you go and condescending tone she tells me to talk to the superviser. Worst post office Ive ever been to.
I have honest to God never seen such bad customer service. Ive been coming here for several years now, in that time Ive seen the clerks act like they are not there to serve. Ive seen them yell at customers, rudely ignore their counter to talk to each other and ignore customers while clearly still on duty but not working, and even threaten to call police (for genuinely easy situations that could have been defused with the slightest amount of customer service skill). It should be filmed its so bad. Ive also see them open up as late as 9:20 (20 min late) and have the nerve to yell at upset customers who had to wait, with no explanation given.
This is a great post office.Cherokee is the black hole where parcels disappear and never see the light if day again not this office.Be patient be kind to the staff.I was there the other day and only one person on staff! Thats hardly fair.
They are very nice and helpful here. Line can get a little long but its clean, pleasant and a good place. Parking can be tricky but turns over fast.
The incident occurred near 5pm on 4/19/16. We were about 5 people waiting in line for at least 20 minutes and only 2 employees working at the time. Right before 5pm a new costumer arrives and this employee that was in the lobby about to close the door decides to help this new costumer before everyone else in line. At first, I thought she was just answering a question but then I see this employee bring a wireless credit card machine and doing a transaction with this new costumer. I looked at the guy behind me and he had witnessed the same thing. He approaches this employee to ask her why is she helping this costumer when she had people waiting in line for over 20 minutes? The employee starts yelling at him if you dont like it you can go home get back in line or go home get back in line or go home I could not believe what I was witnessing. She proceeds to lock up the post office since it was 5pm and goes back inside. Before going back to her desk she made sure to change the radio station to find something she liked as we were all still waiting for her. When I come in to her window I asked for her name to which she responds why do you want my name for I said I need your name to report your behavior to which she says I wont give you my name, I wont give you my name The guy behind me asked to speak to a manager. There was no manager on site, she started yelling again that she wont give me her name. I took her picture since she would not give me her name and she went crazy closing the window on me and telling me to get the hell out of here or I will call the police She kept yelling at me get out of here, get out of here. After almost 30 min waiting in line I could not send my mail because she returned my mail to me.She followed me to unlock the door and says you are lucky I did not call the police on your ass.I am beyond alarmed and disappointed that the USPS will hire people like her. Her behavior is unacceptable and she is definitely not qualified to for this job. She should be fired.
I thought they were very courteous and helpful. Maybe not the most bubbly people in the world can you blame em? Still very helpful and nice.
Its unfortunate but this is a terrible post office but they dont care because they dont get paid enough so I understand. If youre super lazy and you need a job this is the place to go. I know someone that works here they told me they pretend the mail drum is broken and they just put this mail cart out for people to put their packages in, and many packages have been stolen because of this but again they dont care. If you really want to make a difference in this place take a few minutes to write the postmaster.
The so-called manager is rude and confrontational. She needs to be retrained. Very disrespectful.
Very rude workers. Would not help tape box. Lots of eye rolling.
Incredibly helpful and caring customer service. Frankly I dont understand those negative reviews...I go there every week and actually enjoy watching them interact in such a polite, non robotic manner.
The employees need more help there seemed to be one person who knew what she was doing. The customers are very nasty to say the least. People need to haveThere items ready before they reach the window.
Ive been doing logistics for a small vintage film poster business as well as personal assistant postal runs for seven years now since moving to Hollywood. Im only writing to rebuke all these reviews about nasty attitudes and poor customer service. First of all, this location is in the middle of Hollywood; primadonas and wannabes abound. Ive seen such impatience and hostility from customers that I understand why the ladies here dont take any mistreatment! And rightfully so because most people who end up making a scene are NOT PREPARED, have no clue what they need, and really are inconsiderate when they are addressed as people and not special snowflakes or aspiring models/actors/artists/whatever. The amount of egotistical and ignorant customers this location sees daily is staggering. Ive never been disrespected, and only once was there a mistake with a mailing and it was partially my fault. I dont know what the point of writing reviews for a post office is, but Ive never had a problem that could not be resolved by communicating with RESPECT. You can only push people so far before they build up a resistance to such negativity. I love coming here, they know me by name and make me feel welcome.
Wish they would add more staff to the service counter!
Incredibly rude, came for one question and was given so much aggression. Very rude ppl here and its only my 2nd visit EVER!
Awful service! I spend in line 20 minutes to ship an international express with all paperwork ready and and an employee refused the service saying besides paperwork you should write from: to: on the box with black highlighter in two languages and go back in line. Thats NOT an USPS requirement, she just made it up! She refused to provide the service, refused to introduce herself, refused to call for a manager and kicked out my package out of the window. Just imagine, she is getting paid for that!
If I could use a less than zero I would. The Post office I am complaining about it at 458 N DOHENY DRWEST HOLLYWOOD, CA 90048-9997--but the web site (ALSO BROKEN) directed me here. I sent a first class letter to a P.O. Box in the VERY SAME POST OFFICE meaning the letter had to travel presumably about 20 feet. It took 15 days for my landlord to get the letter--with my rent check--threatening my lease agreement. He made me make out another check with money I did not have and PERSONALLY deliver it to him. Then canceling the first check. I COULD HAVE GOT THIS LETTER TO HIM FASTER IF I HAD TIED IT TO THE WING OF A WOUNDED CARRIER PIGEON!!! If this is First Class Mail I wonder how long 2nd or 3rd class would take? Two or three years maybe? The United States has not become a Third World country--its become a Tenth World Country.
If I could give this post office less than one star, I would. I went in to give them business, and they were rude and disrespectful. When I told them about the good customer service I received from the South Pasadena Post Office, I was told to go back to South Pasadena by the supervisor. Another employee chimed in, yeah, go back to South Pasadena. What a bunch of jerks.
Why can I not get through when calling their phone number??? I have been trying to locate my package I dropped off there for weeks. Iam out of state and cannot visit the location.
They forward the phone to fax so it doesnt bother them.. All that ringing, who needs it!
Two Windows open. One, only will accept atm or credit. the other window was reckless and missing the point. Sad!
The worst service !! These women, who works think they can do whatever the want !!! Rude. A lot of people very unhappy with this place . But nobody write about it. The government have to fire all of them include the supervisor and hired new one . Worst working attitude! They must be fired !!
Worst EMPLOYEES. The worst customer service. Literally they show their attitudes towards customers.
Employees were nice, place was clean, plenty of supplies, good service.
This is the happiest most helpful post office Ive ever been too! Parking is tricky, but its so worth it!
Worst post office ever! One never walks into a post office expecting any form of customer service anyway, but Im pretty sure this branch makes it a priority to leave your day worse off than when you walked in! Also, dont bother trying to call them directly because you will never get through, ever. (Called 26 times, 26! Between 9-5 never got through)
No postal drop off. Huge line. And post workers super rude.
For the longest time, there was only one employee helping customers. There was a long, long line of customers. Very frustrating for customers.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST.
Old office. Meter street parking. Expect is a line but it moves. They have priority mail machine if can do self service. Friendly staff.
The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude and had no knowledge regarding ANY aspect of the job. She didnt even have paper to write on. USPS should close this site down or do a complete overhaul.
Unhelpful. They close at 5pm. Outer lobby with useless machine open til 530.
All the time delivery is postponed and the motivation is Blocked receptacle which is bull since that is not possible, my mailbox is on the curb!!!!
Slowest post office I have ever seen. Everyone theres only 1 window open with 3 more purple always doing random stuff in the back.....
Lost my priority mail was never sent
The lady was so rude
Friendly helpful women!!!
The absolute worst service in the world.
Terrible staffs
Love the ladies.
