Ive loved this place since they opened, but I am only now coming back for the first time since Covid. Just did a zoom class with Kim Brenneisen... one of the best Power Classes Ive ever taken. The flow was so good... her creativity shone so bright in the transitions. Feels good to be back. Going back to The Yoga Shop is like returning home.
The first time I took class at The Yoga Shop I was fascinated that I could get a really good workout in from a yoga class. They offer different levels of classes so that if you need to focus more on your alignment, you can do so... or if you want more of a challenge to push yourself, you have that option as well. The list of things I love about this place is endless; the way the teachers keep me motivated, the way my perspective on life is continuously shifting because of the teachers insights they shared with the class, the music and energy in the room, and the most loving community. The students and teachers and the owners are all family. We support one another, we love each other and we grow together. Whether youve been going there for years, or you just walked into the door for the first time, youre sure to feel the love from this place.
Love this yoga studio, the instructors, and the community
Beautiful space, the community is so loving and the yoga is challenging in the best way! I always feel amazing after class. I feel totally safe with the mats 12ft apart and love the zoom classes when I can’t make it into the studio! I love their new yogi special—first class is free and the first month is $99!
This is my favorite studio in the area BY FAR. The community is very welcoming and inclusive. It feels like home. On top of that, I feel challenged, empowered, and interested in every single class, because they are all very creative and different.
Great classes - yoga is so healthy for ones soul!
After going to this studio for over a year Im over the initial wow, this place is cool phase. Yes its different and challenging and they do try to bring a sense of community, but as I am advancing my practice and have tried other studios I find this place a bit one-dimensional. They dont take the time to teach yoga. Its a bit militant and Im realizing its more of an aerobics studio that uses yoga poses. One thing is for sure, you will get strong here if you manage to avoid hurting yourself in the process - there is no focus on alignment and awareness of your body’s limits. A lot of people are attracted by the sense of “belonging” they advertise. Just remember if youre looking for place to belong that this is a business run by business people. Its mostly marketing. My advice is you can go here to work out but go to other studios to learn real yoga.
Faster paced yoga with great mix of music. Instructors pay attention to your aligment. A must try!
