The folks at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in West Chester on Market Street always provide great service and cars when in need. Because of recent flooding conditions in Chester County after Hurricane Ida, cars were in short supply and unfortunately I was without a car over Labor Day, then thankfully Enterprise came through on Wednesday. I sure needed one and I am thankful for Enterprise for being there in time of need. Five stars! Great job!
Most of the enterprise rental services are good, but this one made me to post review.My experience here was very good.They have nice cars and multiple options to choose. Staff (Maddy) was quick,friendly and professional.This was the first time I did not check the gas level it was 1tick off the full mark. But that didnt bother me and I noted the staff 5 min later and response was very friendly.
Recently rented a car for a four day business trip. It was a large amount to put on a credit card but the flaming hoops you need to jump through to use a debit card are a bit much. I was expecting the $200 additional hold on my card but was a bit surprised that it is now $400 above the cost of the whole rental. The additional $200 on top of the expected $200 should have been mentioned in advance. The people on-site have no control over it since its a corporate decree from Enterprise.This would have been a five star review otherwise. For the things the people on-site can control everything was perfect. Since other car rental companies are not charging $400 extra Ive been renting personal use vehicles at a different company.
I had the BEST experience with specifically jacksonhole enterprise. I messed up our reservations and they helped with ease and when we wanted to change our trip once again it was done with ease. Could recommend some place higher. So so satisfied with our experience!
Staff was friendly and helpful. The business hours are limited. They only had a few cars available. The one I was given was filthy dirty. I had to ask to get it washed because it was hard to see out the windshield. It stunk of cigarettes. It was a one day, last minute rental. In the future I will make sure I give both Enterprise and myself more time.
Was a very smooth and easy process for sign inAs well as the vehicle,which was comfortable and up to date. I was actually physically comparing between enterprise and hertz to see whos better of the two and Id have to give it to enterprise.with exception of 300 deposit.hertz at 200.. Enterprise returned my deposit upon vehicles arrival. Hertz is still holding my deposit past 7 days today.smh. Id definitely rent from enterprise again possibly even purchase from them
Its near impossible to rent a car from this location and not have an issue... empty tank, cars not ready, long waits, not answering phone, wrong bill, you name it it will happen here
Enterprise is a good company, but this location is terrible. Rude and incompetent. Rent from Exton or Chester Springs, totally worth the extra distance.
I had set the rental car up a week before hand as my car was in an accident and the other persons insurance company was at fault and paying for everything. When i set up via phone they had all the insurance info on file. The day my vehicle was in the shop i was picked up and told i needed to put a Credit Card on file for damages. The next week when I dropped the rental off I was presented a bill and said that the insurance company was being billed, while waiting in the rental car for a ride back to the repair shop i got an email stating that my CC was charged for the full rental. I didnt authorize my credit card to be charged. When the rep came out to the car to drive me back I questioned it and she told me that she was new and not sure what happens and to come in and talk to her manager. I came into the store the manager was sitting behind a desk and didnt even come over, when i told him I didnt authorize my cc to be charged and that the insurance company needs to be billed. He stayed seated behind his desk while i stood in the middle of the store, he checked his computer and stated that the old Manager had set up the rental to bill the insurance company but sometimes the insurance company doesnt cover the full rental charges and that I need to fight the insurance company for reimbursement. He said the charge already went thru and was not able to be refunded. I was charged $300 on my CC without Authorization and was told just fight the insurance company for it and that there was nothing else they could do. Poor customer service and didnt even try to fix the mistake.8-2-2021 UpdateI was expecting a phone call from Enterprise Customer support per the comment they left on this review. They said they would reach out and I never heard it.
Rented a car online to be picked up at 12pm and when I arrived at 12 noon they had already closed!The online hours were different from the actual store hours!!!! I did get a message from them saying they closed at 12pm but I didnt hear it until a week later !
I’ve always had great experiences with Enterprise. I usually rent from the West Chester, PA location and have found the staff there to be especially helpful, efficient and friendly. Covid procedures are in place and interaction is fast. They also have several high-end vehicles at great prices - fun to give them a try! I needed to extend my rental by a few days the last time I used Enterprise. All it took was a quick phone call - no problem at all. I highly recommend!

A+!!! This was my first time renting a car - I’m now asking myself what took me so long? The staff were all so kind,helpful, & professional!! The process was so straight forward - super reliable, easy, convenient & extremely economical!!! I usually Uber around town but I do believe I found a “hidden gem” in renting for even just a day from Enterprise in West Chester! They also picked me up from home and dropped me back off upon returning the rental.. that service alone speaks volumes about their amazing customer service! No more long wait times for an Uber for me! I Highly recommend!!! Five Stars!
Had a car for about 20 days from enterprise at 707 E Market St in West Chester due to being rear ended by another driver. Will never go there again if I need a rental. Staff manager Emily was extremely rude on the phone when I tried to set up an appointment time to come in a pick up a car that was reserved for me. Upon meeting her face to face to pick up the vehicle the experience wasn’t much better, I felt rushed by her and she spoke extremely fast when going over the rental agreement and checking the car and documenting any damage prior to me taking possession. Upon returning the vehicle to enterprise I had an interaction with Jordan who also spoke just as fast as Emily when taking my keys and trying to explain to me that they would check in the vehicle to make sure there was no damage at a later time and that I was “all squared away” and could leave. Over the next couple of days I received several phone calls from staff at that location including both Jordan and Emily trying to confirm whether or not I had returned the vehicle to there location. It seems that the day I returned the car they had 3 other vehicles that were identical to the one I had and their “computer system“ had issues confirming the fact that I had already returned the car. They obviously need a better check in/return policy so that the inconvenient phone calls after the fact don’t happen. Renters beware, if this location is close to you and you need to rent a car, go to a different location. The additional time you have to spend to drive to a different location will be worth it.
The customer service was excellent. They were busy but moved quickly to service all customers. The agent asked if there was anything they could have done better? which is a question I have adopted with my clients at Nordstrom. Very impressive!Ron Campli

I called & asked if it was possible for me to rent a car for my friend who would not be finished work until after 7pm. I asked 3 people to be sure before getting an Uber. Was told yes, yes & yes. Went to Enterprise and they would not let me rent it. I had to rent it for myself while he has my car. So disgusted!!
Helpful and efficient service
First of all the car was very uncomfortable to drive. I felt like I was sitting in the back seat. I had to put a pillow down and sit on that. I never received a receipt for the car. I had the car for 7days and the charge on my credit card receipt was over $400 plus. I was charged for a deposit but havent received that back yet. Very confused!
I am giving both the West Chester, PA and the Philadelphia International Airport this review. Yes an airport. Upon our very early morning arrival in Philadelphia I had just missed the shuttle to get back to the departing flights area and there were 7 people waiting for me to get through security. Some very little children. An enterprise person saw me in the lot disappointed and asked if she could help. She said not to worry and took me to the area I needed to go right away. To say the least I was extremely surprised as I have not received this type of service before at any airport and this was Philadelphia which always gets the bad rap. They are the city of Brotherly Love and they earned it this time. As for West Chester, PA I always receive great service at that location and they are always pleasant and helpful. This experience made the vacation a very enjoyable time. Because of my experience with Philly I started off happy!!!

I reserved a pick-up truck to move some furniture but found the truck bed was not large enough. The sale manager offered me a cargo van with $10 extra, which was below their regular price. The operation was very efficient and the staff was friendly. I had a very good experience. I will definitely consider this location next time. They even have Tesla for rent!

I reserved a nissan frontier online and that was to have a discount. That never happened. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot to return it, it was checked out before I was even checked in. And before I realized it my eyeglasses and case were gone, that fast. Ive tried again to get the rewards and discount that should have been awarded since I signed up for their newest member reward program, however Id have a better chance at seeing god. Im 54 and have only used enterprise every time Ive needed a car, but NEVER again. I will walk before I ever give them a dime now.GO POUND SAND ENTERPRISE!!!
I recently made a reservation online with West Chester Enterprise location and I had nice interaction with the reps (Jocelyn Jane) who were easy to work with. Picking up the car was pleasant and quick, Jocelyn was friendly and thorough. Explained the contract so I could understand it. Drop off also quick and easy. Very pleasant experience. There were no issues on the car. The car was clean and well maintained. Every staff member I saw made eye contact and was friendly and professional. Great price. Good car. Great people. Enterprise gives a fair price, and offers reasonable upgrades. In my case I was served by a professional staff that was both courteous and efficient. The minivan that I rented developed a malfunction in the door locking system during my rental. Upon returning the vehicle they generously agreed to reduce the price to compensate me for the inconvenience. I appreciated that gesture. I will definitely use Enterprise for my next car rental.
The West Chester PA office was clearly swamped and short handed when I arrived. Even so, the staff was pleasant and polite, and very efficiently handled the checking in process. I was on my way within 20 minutes. Vehicle was clean and in great condition. I was able to easily arrange drop off at a location in another district. Thank You!

Had a Nissan Altima. Great gas mileage (40.9 mpg) on a mostly highway trip. Only a couple small issues. 1) Inside of windshield was really dirty, to the point where you could barely see driving into the sun. Enterprise needs to pay more attention to car prep. 2) Windshield sprayers barely worked...not sure if thats a car issue or if the reservoir was empty. Otherwise...great car that got us where we wanted to go in relative comfort.
Pick up process was easy, quick and pleasant. Enterprise associates were friendly, welcoming and easy to deal with. I had my car and was on my way in minutes. Drop off was convenient, I got home late and the after hours drop off made it easy for my to return the car.
Make sure you read your contract and take pictures before you drop off. I dropped a truck off at this location with no damage . Two week later they charge me 1700 for yellow paint on the side of the truck. When I reserved a car I had damage liability and full coverage on it. They did not have the car in stock so they gave me a truck instead which was very incoveint because of how much gas money was involved. They changed the contract when they switched it to a truck. I signed it thinking it was the same. Big mistake. I was in a tough spot because of hurricane Dorian and had to leave Florida asap. Do not make the same mistake I did. Even tho its in there parking lot its still on you. Double check everything they will try to get more money out of you.
The staff at Enterprise were so helpful and friendly. I had a last minute rental while I had major car repairs done and the staff were very accommodating and welcoming as I walked in at the end of business on a rainy night.The repair shop would call me every afternoon for the next three days to tell me that they hadnt been able to complete the repairs, so I had to keep extending my rental.The Enterprise staff never made it feel like it was an imposition when I called and kept the same rate for all of the days of the extension, even though I had an upgrade for the car.I will definitely be back to this Enterprise location!
Staff was nice, personable, quick to reach me when there was a line and still managed to juggle calls effectively. Quite a selection of cars and if they dont have exactly what youre looking for (compact, economy, etc) they do their best to make sure you have a ride that suits you.My car broke down while I was ~500 miles from home. I was able to get a decent car at an affordable rate and was able to make it home in time for work the next day. At no point in the process did I feel any stress aside from whether I should choose a flight (before I even close a rental) and will I hit traffic.This was my third time using Enterprise and I would 100% use them again.
I had stopped by in person weeks earlier before my reserved pick-up-date because I needed to extend my rental beyond the pick-up and return reserved dates. That went well and the staff was accommodating. However, later things got a bit complicated. I had reserved a mini van, but upon the rescheduled arrival one was not available (I later learned the keys to the one held for me were missing and could not be located). The customer before me at the desk was also getting a minivan. Through his graciousness he traded his rental for a large SUV so I could have the mini van, I needed the extra long cargo space and could not take the SUV. The Enterprise agent promised to extend my quoted lower -than-current-rental-rate through the extended dates, but stated it would not show on the computer. At pickup and return I needed to continuously remind them of the change. After receiving my contract I asked the amount of the total rental but I failed to confirm the new return date. Although Enterprise had extended my rental they entered the wrong return date. Oddly, no one contacted me before I returned the van a week later than the contract stated, even though the date I returned was the date I know we spoke. I was charged the additional six days not stated on my contract because I failed to notice the week that was short and again I had to remind them of the lower rate. The agent handling the return was courteous but had to tell me more than once that it was an unusually low rate. ??? Straight from a ten-hour-drive home I was tired, grumpy and frustrated while returning the vehicle, but the staff was patient. Another frustration is when you pickup the vehicle it often does not have a full tank of gas. I find that as an inconvenience when taking a road trip to have to make an additional stop to fill the tank before leaving. When their prices are competitive with competing rental companies, I will rent from them again.

I just moved to West Chester from Exton and used to use the Enterprise office there which always provided exceptional service and with my first visit to this office received even better treatment. The staff was welcoming and pleasantly surprised when I got a phone call asking how things were going while on my trip. Will make this my only place to rent moving forward!

Recently rented a car for work travel for a week. When I picked up the car it had a quarter tank of gas, which I have never seen. The inside windshields (front and back) were so dirty with a film that I couldnt see through them, especially with the glare. I had to clean them upon arrival at my hotel. (I see I am not the only one encountering this condition) In addition, the windshield wipers were absolutely horrendous and did nothing but smear water across the windshield making it almost impossible to see. Enterprise should definitely do a bit more QC on cars prior to renting them out.
I moved from Ardmore to Glen Mills 2 years ago! I loved the Bala Cynwyd location so much that I would still take the extra drive to them when renting with Enterprise. Back in february I was tight on time and decided to finally give the West Chester Location a chance. This is my second time renting with them. The custumer service is amazing and they have a great selection of cars! They have gain a new regular custumer as I always rent cars for my roadtrips multiple times a year!

Made my reservation online, it was really easy. They picked me up, the car was clean and in good shape, everything was easy. Manager even followed up to make sure I was happy (c:They offer an after-hours drop off, which I had to use due to my schedule. Theyre located right next to the bus stop, which is also convenient. I had a great experience with this office. They picked me up quickly at the body shop after getting into an accident and set me up with a car. While renting from them I switched cars while going through my insurance and they made it an easy process. I called and asked if I could return to another location out of the area where I purchased a new car and they had no problem with it. The other location was very helpful as well. I would return to them in the future.

Outstanding Customer Service. We had a last minute rental for our car repair and as always they were professional and courteous. We had a nice selection to choose from and we were very pleased with our rental. No problems at all with returning at a convenient time for us. We highly recommend using Enterprise to all of our friends.
Staff was very pleasant and friendly! However, I rented car for a week, unsure of exactly how long I would need the car. The transmission went in my car unexpectedly and I needed to quickly buy a new car. I told the associate handling the rental that I was unsure of how long I needed the rental car, possibly more than a week, possibly less. I was told I would only pay for the number if days I had the car. The first surprise I encountered was when I tried to return the car at 1:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, 4 days into my contract. I cant believe a car rental establishment would close by noon on a Saturday. I guess thats a marketing ploy to force people to rent cars longer than needed. My next surprise was when I returned the car on Sunday, 5 days into my contract, and was told the entire weekly rate was due. The associate that handled my check out did give me a discount of $23 because of the information I had been presented at the time of rental. Im not sure I will be renting through Enterprise again but if the need arises, I will be a much better informed consumer and will be much more aware of the tricks if the trade.
This is Bill. Bill always uses Enterprise as car rental agency because they seem to be more professional than others. Bill trust Enterprise and the employers at the West Chester location, because he has rented here many times. Last time he rented a car though, while checking the car the employer did not mark a damage on the contract. When Bill returned the car, he was blamed, even if he actually didnt damaged the vehicle. Be smart, dont be like Bill. Check thoroughly the contract before signing it, even if it looks like the damage was noted. Take multiple pictures of the outside and inside of the car youre renting before leaving the parking lot, and include the plate and the odometer. When they blame you for something you didnt do, you will have evidence to prove you didnt do it. Let me repeat myself: take multiple pictures of the vehicle youre renting, both outside and inside. Dont let happen to you what happened to Bill.
I had only a brief experience with them because I was accidentally taken there instead of Hertz, but the staff was wonderful and accommodating!
Good location and quick service. car was good. clean. only negative thing was that we were not told verbally that office closed at 12noon on Sat. thankfully we had a ride to bring car back. If we had need a ride from Enterprise to campground, we would have been out of luck. it was on our contract..but feel clients should be told verbally that office closes early.

I have been renting here for work and personal use for about five years. Im always happy with the service and cars. They offer great deals and if theres a spot you can park your car in their side lot for easy drop off/pick up. Very friendly and just excellent over all.
This is one of the best rental car offices I have been to. They came and picked me up promptly from the autobody shop and were very nice and accommodating while setting me up with a car. I ended up having to return the car to a different location and they assured me it would not be an issue and took care of everything. Will be using them again in the future.

Really nice guys, but it took forever to get my van. It took over 30 min after the gentleman left to retrieve the van to return. I would suggest having the vehicle ready if someone is scheduled to pick it up.

The condition of the car that I was given was terrible. I can not believe that anyone is given a car in this condition. The seats were stained, the glove box was broken, the plastic vent piece in the back was missing. It was bad... Just really un-happy with condition of the car I rented.

Im 23 I have a clean driving record and full coverage insurance I wanted to rent a car for 3 days I went on to the website requested a luxury car with GPS it gave me a quote and a pick up date this was 48 hr before I need to pick it up they charged me a young renters fee which is to be expected. So on the date of.pick up I go in to pick it up and the representative then tells me hes not going to give me the car because Im 23 and it is policy that I have to be 25 I had my dad with me he then ask the representative if he could pay for it and the representative said no because I would have to be added as a driver and I still have to be 25. He offered me a standard car however that is not what I had reserved and needed I have 4 guys going with me all close to 300 lbs and u want us to fit in a Honda Civic for 3 plus hours of traffic and driving thats a joke. Why would you allow me to reserve the car online where before I got to choose what type of car I wanted you asked my age and charge me the young renters fee when you have no intention of letting me rent the car I got a confirmation on. This is wrong at best and at worst false advertising. I at least would have like to be notified in advance like I stated there was 48 hr where I could have been notified of the policy. I have to rush to find a altnative method of travel.

The service that I received during my most recent rental was o.k. The Enterprise representative was courteous and very helpful during the rental process and I was in and out in a timely fashion. When I returned the vehicle I mentioned that there seemed to be a problem with the brakes because when I applied them the front end of the vehicles shakes. I also explained that I would have returned the car that same day except I was on a time schedule. To my surprise, the Enterprise representative made no effort to offer any apology or reconciliation for my being inconvenienced, the only response was that someone must have applied the brakes really hard, which should have been notice when the previous person returned the vehicle. I will continue to rent from Enterprise because I have done so in the past without issue. But thought that with my relationship with this particular location, something would have been done for my inconvenience. Dont get me wrong, I know these people and they are a great crew. Thanks!
Generally, I have good experience with Enterprise. I used to prefer enterprise first. But with this branch, really I dont like that approach and customer care. Really I dont want to take a car from this enterprise again. Even through, It is near to my home, I prefer different enterprise in my future rentals.
Initially requested a 4wd truck but instead they gave me a 2wd truck...got the 4wd truck after a 2nd request 4 days into my rental
