Not a pleasant experience trying to get a simple black-and-white printing completed. I sent the order online over five days ago. I’ve called on the phone several times continually placed on hold for long periods of time. I feel like I’ve spent enough time on the phone that I could’ve hand copied the prints myself.
Really liked the price, loved the customer service. The guy that works in towards the back of the store/office chair area, provided EXCELLENT customer service, very friendly and very helpful.
The manager is rude and not helpful in the least. I asked an employee about ink for a quill pen. I have never had a problem finding this at an office max. Seems he thinks answering a question is a hassle and that I should buy my ink online. I will but it wont be from office max online. Oh and it turns out they did have refills. I found them myself after he was too busy to look for them.
I had the worst experience here today. Its always been my favorite place to go. Where did all the helpful friendly employees go? Walked over to the two empty open cash registers to ask for help and the guy went off on me. Ended up using the one self serve printer that was supposedly working after another customer left. Which of course did not print anything but charged me/out of paper... Message ask for assistance? NO WAY I wouldnt dare ask for help, they actually had customers by then. Folks we are creating a very entitled work force with all this understaffed talk. Owners/managers get in there and roll up your sleeves and please get your self-serve equipment working so we can actually self serve. And tell your staff: Dont yell at customers about being understaffed when you are standing there chit chatting with a co-worker.
Just got a call that my online order was cancelled. This is the 4th time it has happened this month. The online stock says they have items in stock, I have even called the store to verify that they have the items in stock and then when I got to pick up my order or come to store (10 minutes later) to purchase they do not have the inventory. Employees seem to not care at all that this is a reoccurring and frustrating issue. Definitely would not recommend especially if the item you need is necessary for your daily business practices.

Not supportive of customers in the least. Wait times are ridiculously long. Management at this store is TERRIBLE. Not only are they NOT helpful, but they go out of their way to make things difficult for customers who try to do self service. I want the district/regional manager’s name and contact number/email.
Lydia in printing was extremely helpful and did a great job. I called because I was worried and she assured me it would be ready no problem and it was done early. Thank You!

Just spoke with a very helpful person named Josh. He found what I needed at another store. When I said, Thank you he replied My pleasure! OMG, non of this No Problem stuff, I love it!
Since Best Buy closed OfficeMax is the only game in town as far as the things they provide. My experiences there from projectors to desks have all been good. Always very helpful and polite.

I stood at the front counter for 5 minutes before calling the store. I watched an employee answer the phone, I listened as this employee told me from 15 feet away that they couldnt hear me and then hang up the phone and still failed to acknowledge my presence in the store or at the counter with $80 of products. Never Again.
If I can rate it with no stars I would. Nobody came up to me and asked if I needed help. When I did ask for help they want to go get somebody to help me out and nobody came back.
Came here for school supplies. Able to find everything I needed. Good use of space and very organized. Nothing special–just your typical OfficeMax.
Staff was very helpful when I was looking for a printer. I didnt know what I was looking for, I just knew what I needed it to do. and 5 months later we are still happy with the suggestion

Waited for 10 minutes while 2 girls worked doing everything except helping me and one other customer. Finally I just walked out and went 2 doors down to UPS store and got help as soon as I walked thru the door.
Overpriced. Not much brand variety. I know its a pain, but just go to Walmart next door. Same selection at lower prices. Also Cartridge World for ink is much lower price. Employees are friendly tho.
The salesman was really an amazing technician and explained everything to me in understandable terms. He was an older man but was spot on with all the new technology my boss sent me in to purchase. I will be asking for his assistance whenever I need to purchase anymore office technology. Ask for Jeff, he will help you get the right product for your particular application.
The associate helping us was very knowledgeable and exceeded our expectations. The store was clean and organized.
We have shipped posters through them a ton of times and have never had a problem. We went in there today and they told us that they dont have a container that big to ship the posters. Even though we were sitting there looking at the containers they always use. He just didnt want to do the work. We will never use them again.
I dont know about others, but had a very good experience here. I honestly dont know a darn thing about electronics/office supplies. The sales associates took their time & patiently explained everything to me as I asked a ton of questions.
If I could of gave them no stars I would have. I purchased a laptop from this location yesterday and they told me either come back tonight or tommorow because it had a demo mode so it couldnt be hooked up to the Internet. When I came back they said it had crashed the hard drive and they would give me a replacement. When I asked for the specs he said it wasnt as good it had less memory and less ram and it also the processor was not as good and the screen was small but thats the best he could do. And he agreed it wasnt a better laptop. He wasnt willing to replace with anything else because it was the last one they had in stock.
Quite a wait for walk in printing services as only one person staffed the print area and did not acknowledge me until the large order before me was completed. Staff was friendly when I finally got to my turn though.

I recently purchased an expensive executive desk and chair, on sale. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. The desk was in instore purchase, set up for delivery. Delivery was fast and efficient. Chair was a pickup in store online order. When I arrived first thing the following morning for pickup, item was ready. I was in and out in minutes. THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE. In the past, I wondered how Office Max could make it w/ Amazon and Walmart, now I know.
