I have been with Commerce Bank for over 20+ years. I moved out this way a year or so ago and the Wentzville location has been awesome!!!! How they have a lower score on the reviews baffle me. Look in the mirror πͺ people, and Ill bet yall have attitudes that need adjusting π€£ππ
This location seems to be busier than other locations I have visited but I have never experienced what the other reviewers have mentioned. Avoid visiting on a Friday if possible.All employees that I have worked with are quick, resourceful, and happy to help.The inside was closed for an extended (longer than most) period but is reopened. A mask was not required on a recent visit.
If I could give zero stars I would! Ive banked with them for many years and lately they are going away down hill. Got married and brought my marriage license in to change my last name and apparently no one changed it. So when I bring my check in to deposit it they tell me no even after I have showed them proof of my name change. I thought I took care of the all of this when I brought my marriage license in last time. Finally ran to a different bank and they were able to cash it for me and I told them the story and seemed like they were making a big fuss for nothing. I will be changing banks
Aug 6 2021. 1 chair out of the 20 I counted didnt have arms.. and that chair was taken....The chairs are other wise too small for most people to sit... not even counting a plus size person
Ive been banking with commerce for years, this is the worst branch Ive ever bern to,,slow,rude,drive out of yr way an get faster service

Called to make sure no appointment was needed. Was told no you dont. Asked if had to wear a mask. Was told no you dont. Once got to the bank doors where locked. Had to call number on door to be told that you do have to have an appointment. Then had to wait outside in the heat for at least 30 minutes before somebody could help us. Then was told I had to wear a mask after waiting in the heat and that they would not take any responsibility if I passed out once inside.
Sometimes when you get cash back you have to sign sometimes when you get cash back you dont have to sign theyre extremely slow I usually spend 30 minutes in the drive through they have no sense of who is there first or anything today they had four windows open Im sitting there for 10 minutes with no hello or anything but I had already sent my tube through so I press the button 5 minutes later shes like what can I do for you well Im at a bank and I sent my tube what do you think you can do for me Im sorry sir Im the only one here but all four lanes are open really you cant make this stuff up
Commerce Branch -Wentzville-. I share the same feelings as everyone else here. Their employees are semi-rude when you question them about something. They work like they are unexperienced in what their suppose to be doing. Wait times for service when their bank is empty is like 10 minutes while they go dig somebody out of the break room. I just cancelledmy credit card account. When I find another competent bank in the area - my savings and checking are going next!

Commerce Bank used to be a nice place to do business however, recently I was selling a car that I still owed a balance on. The buyer met with me at the bank so I could pay it off (with cash) and get a lien Release. Ha, no way possible the buyer would have to wait for a week! Obviously I lost the buyer. Lesson learned! Take another option when you buy a car and need a loanCommerce bank just didnt care. Do your business some place else!

Rich and the crew at Commerce in Wentzville has done an exemplary job of helping us with our small business. They were able to procure the Paycheck Protection Plan for us in speedy order. Slowest drive thru Ive ever experienced. I have to go to this bank for my work. I would never get a personal account here due to their speed. Never staffed for Friday rush. Sitting here again.
Worst service of any branch only one personal banker on staff and take a life time to get in an out of the bank!! Horriable horriable management
I visited Commerce bank in Wentzville at 9:40AM on July 30th. The young lady at the drive through was immediately condescending since I did not have an account to cash a $100 petty cash check that my company cashes there EVERY Saturday. She said I needed 2 forms of I.D. and must be done inside. Inside, I am met with yet ANOTHER condescending little snot. The 2 forms I had must both have a picture on them. I only had one. Oh, she said I could use a bank card WITH NO PHOTO on it. Then she proceeds, and says in a supercilious tone that I MUST give her a THUMB PRINT!!! I WILL NEVER WALK IN TO ANOTHER COMMERCE BANK AGAIN. AND I RECOMMEND YOU DONT EITHER!!!! Customer service, kindness, and respect are all absent at Commerce Bank.
Donβt expect to get anything done quick. Something as simple as a deposit can take upwards of 15 minutes sometimes with only one or two people in front of you. I have walked out and seen people walk out on many occasions itβs simply unreal. There have been Friday afternoons where one teller has been behind the counter. Donβt even get me started on the drive thru. Absolute nightmare everytime.
Been with Commerce since 1999, the N.Ofallon branch was my bank, loved the employees. I moved to Wentzville in October and have to say this branch is awful. Terribly slow, the banker we talked with about address changes and marital status updates never did her job then quit. We had to make numerous calls to fix everything at another branch. 20 years of my personal and business accounts Im considering leaving. This branch is GARBAGE!!

Went in to get new money for a trip to Africa. After the customer before me was served, the teller asked me to wait for a moment. I did but made the mistake of stepping forward a step. Had the teller pick up her Window Closed sign and bounce it up and down on the counter top and tell me to wait. When she finished, I made my request and showed the cash I wished to exchange. She asked for my account number but I am not currently a Commerce customer and said so. Her response was to put back the sign and say I cant help you, you are not a customer. Not even so much as an Im sorry, but...Now I remember why I stopped being a Commerce Bank customer.
There have to be better banks in Wentzville and that understand what customer service means. If you like being treated like a second class citizen, talked down to and hung up on....this is the place for you, otherwise look for a better alternative
Im shocked and very disappointed. I have banked with Commerce for ten years personally and have had a small business account with them for almost six years. I had some unauthorized withdrawals and had to change my account number. Commerce did not switch my bill pay over to the new account causing my payments to decline, resulting in my credit score to drop from a 790 to a 590 in a three week time period. I recently requested a loan for another business vehicle and they turned me down even though we have an impeccable track record on keeping a balance and paying on time. I spoke with Rich the branch manager and advised I would need to reconsider banking with commerce and his response was I understand. I will be leaving commerce and not looking back. Also, I agree with the other reviews, this branch is way understaffed and slow.
I went to this bank today to make a deposit and there was an older woman working both the counter and drive thru by herself. I finally got my turn in line next to another customer who was there before when all of a sudden a silver SUV pulls up and gets waited on right away and is gone in 2 minutes. Meanwhile me and the other customer were there for almost 20 minutes. This branch needs more people operating the counter and drive thru. Very unacceptable plus the guy who was in and out of there even though he came up way after us.
They lost their cheerful service on moving. I assume the work environment became less person centered.

Terrible experience! If I were to explain the situation you would be reading this for an hour. Long story short. Opened a business banking account with them. Most important, I needed to have online banking. I signed up and they sent me notification that online banking will be open in about 2-5 business days. No problem right? 5 days go by, no online account. Called them and asked why? The only number they give you is the 1800#. Called them, waited on hold 20 mins. They tell me that they are waiting for a signature card from the bank. I go to the bank and ask them where the signature card is. They tell me that they sent it. I call 1800# again, wait on hold for 20 mins they tell me the bank did not send the signature card. Help desk told me that they just need to fax the signature card and they can then just press the ok button to open online banking. That took two more days to find that out. Total of 7 days waiting...Went back to the bank and talked to the banker and said why has the signature card not been faxed (forgot to say that I called the bank multiple times and it went to voice mail and I left a message each time but no body returned my calls, thats why I had to go to the bank for answers) the banker tells me they do not fax it they send it via USPS. The banker said I will fax it now. 2 more business days go by. FINALLY, 11 days go by. I call the help desk, ask if they received the signature card they tell me yes! I say ok I can get online now right? NO! A manager has to approve it! Ok get a manager on the phone for me. Manager says another department has to approve it??!!! I ask for the number for that department, they tell me that department does not have a number for customers to call. I say then you call them. They call them and tell me, to late their closed call back Monday. LOL! It has now been two weeks and no online banking! Im finding another bank that knows what they are doing!
So a year has gone by and I finally decided to switch to commerce. Bad mistake, dont know what commerce is thinking but there are eight different banks in wentzville. If they can not please a small business owner, or others Ive heard as complaints, commerce will be the first to go. Anyways fyi dont open a business acct with them, just started with them and I feel like ive spent more with them(checks 130,deposit bag 20 dollars, then if I want different plastic security bags another 40 dollars) then saved. Oh and forgot if you are a business man like myself and have to work everyday, remember if your employees have to pick something up; you will have to first hand walk them in to commerce then get all the signatures and then finally he or she can pick up deposits.
Was excited when new location opened. Sadly the service never improved. Rediculas when you have to turn off your car everytime at the drive thru because over and over you have one teller for 4 drive thrus. Vwry disappointing.
Everyone there is just rude. I will never go back there!
They have always been my bank, snd have always been there for me when I needed them.
Understaffed since they opened .only place you have to wait in line to give them your money...same excuse every time.
