I am very impressed with James and his team. Our A/C quit running so I contacted Slocum Heating and Air Conditioning and James was at my house by 7:20 am on a Saturday morning. After inspecting the condensing unit he determined that it was beyond repair, no longer in production, and the entire system would need to be replaced…including the air handler in the attic. I carry an insurance plan for Equipment Breakdown protection, which requires an insurance adjuster to assess any situation before I can proceed with any repairs or service. The adjuster came to the exact same conclusion and James worked with him to help get my A/C system up and running as quickly as possible. The equipment was ordered and arrived in just 2 days. James, along with 4 other men, arrived at 8:30 am on the day of install and dissembled the old air handler and installed the new one in a matter of hours. Impressive enough in itself but even more so because the unit was in the attic above the second floor of the house and only accessible though a tiny attic ladder opening. Who builds things like that?! They also placed a brand new concrete pad on the ground before installing the outside condensing unit… and did all of THAT work, under an umbrella, in the rain, standing in mud! Unbelievable. They worked hard, very carefully, and never made a mess of anything and did it all in good spirits. James, you can count on my business for as long as I own a home. Thank you.

These people are absolute angels from heaven!! I have been very ill and had 2 massive surgeries plus possible 3rd. My husband is under going testing for cancer, I have to take 4 shots a week for the rest of my life possibly. Anyway our ac went out today and I was home alone and couldn’t breathe and from a friends recommendation I called and within one hour or so they were out there and had my problem fixed and both the lady on the phone and the repair man were so kind to me and listened to me sobbing hysterically. And then went above and beyond and didn’t charge me. This company is fabulous and I absolutely highly recommend them!!!!!!!!! Fabulous people and company

These guys helped me out when I was in a bind a few months back. A/C fan was busted on an my old unit and finding replacement parts was extremely difficult. They showed great customer service and were willing to help in any way!

Love them!!Woke up one morning and I was taking my kids to school and noticed that my outside ac unit was frozen. And with my husband out of town and myself heading work after I dropped the kids I didn’t have time for that lol so I called Slocum and they told me they would be out in a little bit then got a call telling me what was wrong and they fixed it the same day!!! Will be using them again and will recommend them that others.

An electrical storm knocked out my AC. I called to make an appointment based off a co-workers recommendation and they arrived promptly. Even arrived before the electrician whom I had already schedule the day before.These guys are committed. Having no AC in Texas is unbearable and they were not going to let me sleep another hot summer night without air. Even though complication after complication kept arising, Slocum always had an answer. They got me set up with air while a replacement part arrive and the quickly came back to finish the job. Will definitely be recommending.

Quick, honest and fair! Our A/C stopped working. They were at our home in about an hour from when we called. They had us up and running again in 30 minutes. They were really good at working around our schedule.

Removed bad unit including attic portion and outside unit. Replaced with new complete heat pump system in 8 hours. This was done while raining outside most of the day. Tarps were put down inside the house and job completed with no remnants of mud or wet carpets. Very professional and courteous. Was leaving town the next day and they waited for me to get back in town to make sure unit was working properly and that I was satisfied with the product and service before billing me for job. I highly recommend Slocum for any needs you have concerning you heating and air conditioning problems. This is a family operation locally owned and they give you that feeling of trust in the product and service they give.

James and all employees ready to get the job done. Warranty people I used werent worried about family well being its Thursday said itd be Monday.. its 98 outside. Called SLOCUM picked up quickly said theyd have a guy out within an hour. Held up, now its cold.Highly encourage everyone to call this Team First. Thanks yall.

One of the best service companies I have ever worked with! As I have moved around over the last few years, I have used a number of different HVAC and other service companies with a wide range in overall experience but nobody compares to Slocum.They answered my call immediately, the woman who answered was extremely nice and friendly. They were at the house to look at the heater within a couple hours. Figured out what the issue was and told my wife what was going on and how much it would cost to fix it before doing anything. I can almost guarantee nobody can beat their prices as it was extremely reasonable for the amount of work involved. He left to get the part and had it fixed an hour or so later.Super professional from start to finish. Extremely fair pricing especially for the quality and timeliness of the work. I would recommend them to anybody. If you need HVAC work these are your guys.

Best company ever. Myheat control wasnt working and I was manually turning off and on the heat. They came to my house, twirled the batteries around and didnt charge me. Yea!!!! Best ever.

Slocums installed a new ac system in my home last year, and they were beyond professional while being courteous and helpful in answering all my questions.

A/C quit thurs eve, left a msg, and got a call at 0800 when they opened. Techs arrived about 1130. Diagnosed the problem immediately, fixed it, and showed me how to prevent future problems. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. THIS is the reason we switched from lightfoot!!!

Unbelievably POOR customer respect and culture. Drivers endangered the public and intentionally tried to run me and my wife off the road several times. (No... I did not do anything to deserve the aggressive action!) When complained to their office (10:30 am), I received an answering machine. I left a message of complaint and they never returned my call. This aggressive driving has ruined their marketing ... for many years to come... I will definitely remember Slocum! And I will be telling as many people as I can about this dangerous company!

Did not perform any repairs, in fact, tech told me no charge for the visit and yet, ended up with a service call for nothing. Told the office lady the same info and told me would not charge card until spoken to tech, was already on my card when I hung up.
