Theyve done a remarkable job on my lawn so far this summer, I cant believe the transformation. My only disappointment is the length of time I have to sit on hold until someone answers to speak with. I mentioned that to the service rep who stopped to do his routine check on my lawn and he gave me a local number to call but same thing, I hung up after 20 minutes on hold. Ill try an email next.
I placed an inquiry to get a quote on a Monday morning just before work. I figured they would contact me and leave a message so I could return the call when available. They spam called me about 15 times in 2 hours. Absolutely aggravating and unprofessional. Figure out how to leave a message instead of harassing potential new clients. Yikes.
This company has terrible customer service. We call with payment over the phone and they provide confirmation number yet the payment is never processed! No phone call stating it doesn’t go through. (Mind you we provided payment a few times now) We get final notice invoices, go through the whole payment process again, and it STILL doesn’t go through. My husband even provided them a different card number. They can’t give an answer why or help sort this out in any way. Last year this happened and they sent us to collections! Worst customer service ever! Glad to switch companies!!
If I could, I would give TruGreen ZERO STARS! 5 out of 6 applications in, I was finally home during an application and could confirm that TruGreen was not doing our side yard. We suspected it but could never confirm but today it was confirmed. I called our local office and spoke to Carol, who was the most unprofessional and inconsiderate person to ever work in customer service. I told her my issue and she said it would be TWO weeks before someone could come out and correct the issue. Then after saying I was going to cancel my PREPAID service and go elsewhere, she offered a 15% discount for additional services. I then asked her why I would want additional services when the services I paid for weren’t being done. She then said she couldn’t do anything more and hung up. GREAT EMPLOYEES y’all hire! And for the lazy techs that have come out and can’t seem to complete the job, shame on you and your work ethic. Our yard is lined with trees and you just forget one part every time? Ridiculous!
My experience with TruGreen can be described as absolutely horrific. From blatant disregard to a customer, unprofessional responsiveness, and complete disregard to deliver the services paid for, for the year. Since April, TruGreen has shown up twice for my services, since that date Ive had to beg them to deliver what Ive paid for. Multiple poor customer survey responses later, Ive chased them weekly with phone calls and emails and the service only gets worse. Cancelled appointments, no shows from the technicians, commitments to show up and discuss their service at my home then no call no shows and the list goes on. The quality of my lawn has been severely impacted. Last week both service individuals who took my call agreed it was completely unacceptable, the technician still canceled, the supervisor committed to calling us, not a single call was received. At one point an individual from the branch committed to an appointment to visit me and discuss it, I took time off work and waited for 2 hours, no call, no show and not even a response back. This is theft, a customer pays for service and has to beg a company to deliver them, and doesnt even get a call back? To date....still no one has shown up for 6+ weeks to deliver our service, let alone a retreatment for the terrible service already delivered.
This company is a scam.Ordered an aeration and seeding. The service person showed up, aerated 25% of my lawn and packed up to leave. I had to force him to aerate the side yard, too. He said he couldnt aerate the backyard because he didnt have a small enough machine and would be back. Fine, I get it. No problem. They never returned and never seeded any of my lawn, then lied on the invoice, saying the work was done. They took my money, did 25% of the job and disappeared. The online and phone customer service is an unhelpful joke as well.Stay away from TruGreen.
Absolutely furious. We dont use poisons in our yard because we have dogs, and do not want them exposed to it. A trugreen employee read the address they were supposed to go to wrong, and sprayed our entire yard! I didnt know until AFTER our dogs had been out several times in it! I called to voice my concern, and was hung up on after being on hold, then when I did get to talk to someone, she told me it would be fine as long as they didnt eat anything out there. My dogs munch on grass all the time outside, so I asked what happens if they do?? She just said, Usually nothing.... Wow! Super comforting, thank you!
Could not control our weeds (other companies can control our neighborhood just fine). Talked with an exrtremely disinterested and unprofessional team lead when I asked to cancel. She hung up on me and would not cancel my services so I had to call back to then cancel. Will not be using this company again. Plenty of much better small businesses to support.
This is what my lawn looks like after 4 treatment. Nothing has changed and I am so disappointed I want my money back but seem to get a hold of anyone. Had to call them back out after 2nd treatment because when th r y sprayed my grass they burned it and my grass died. And they only killed parts of my grass because they didnt spray my whole yard just parts of it. Im not satisfied and I thought going to trugreen and spending over 500 dollars my yard would look nice but nope it looks horrible.
We have a six treatment package - which we pre-paid for. The treatments are to be every 4-6 weeks. The first treatment was 3/29/2021. Our second treatment was pushed back three times. They finally arrived 5/20/2021. Seven weeks and three days after the prior treatment. The third treatment was even harder to get. We had to finally complain to the national TruGreen number - which by the way is the only number you will find. It was pushed out four times. Our third treatment was finally on 7/12/2021. Again, over seven weeks. So, our fourth treatment was to be August 13. They text at 2:30pm on the 13th that hey were on their way. No one showed. We had to call to reschedule. Huh? So, we called and arranged for Monday. No one showed. When we called the nationwide number, they were coming on the 20th. We received a call from the local Waukesha outfit. No answers except they owe us nothing except a nice lawn. She also informed us our service date moved to August 24th. The 23rd is the the mark of the six week since the last treatment. Why is this company unable to provide the service we contracted for. We have asked several times for a territory manager to call us. The only call we can get is the Waukesha office. Today we were promised by the nationwide number a territory manager would call. We paid in full. The only part of the contract they honored was the first service. By the way, the lawn across the street from our home was serviced on Tuesday, 8.18.21. Why didnt they stop by here. At the rate they are going it would take 40-42 weeks (52 in a year remember) to service our six treatments... we live in Wisconsin. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN! Angry on Excelsior Lane in Mukwonago!! We would give no stars if that was an option.
Can not get local branch on phone. They have a boiler room which just tries to pitch a promo initial visit, but takes your credit card and sends a 1 year contract. Agent on the phone the whole time, trying to get you to click the agreement, but the words they are speaking are not whats in the contract. They refused to send me anything in writing that verify what they are saying. Very poor practices
I paid up front for a year of custom lawn care. Admittedly my lawn is in rough shape, thats why I decided to go with a service this year. After collecting my up front annual payment, they promptly came out and serviced for bugs. I havent seen or heard from them since, and I am watching the weeds takeover my lawn. I could do this myself. I looked at the reviews and see that I am nowhere near the only one with this problem. I tried to call and sort it out before I posted this, but after holding for 5 minutes, the recording said I would be on hold for 2 to 2 and a half hours. I paid for better service than this. I wont be renewing or saying anything kindly about this company. And every negative review has the same obligatory send an email to reviews@trugreen.... If those were being taken seriously, we wouldnt still be having this issue. Doesnt sound like they care on a corporate level.*** UPDATE*** I stopped by the local office in person. I spoke with a representative who was very professional and helpful. We scheduled what needed to be done and cleared up any issues. Most of the issues between us were solved with better communication. I didnt make my expectations clear to them at first and they didnt offer up any information to put me at ease. Now that we have communicated, they are doing everything I expected from their service (except my beds, but they explained why) and the price is the same. The local office cares, but the national call center needs work. Stop by and see them if you have a problem, it works.
Today my dad had an appointment. Got the notification that the truck was 15 minutes away.Kept watching the map as I have little ones in the house I needed to have my oldest watch them while I went out and talked to the tru green guy when he arrived.Watched him pull up to the front of my house. Approximately 9:17ish. I stepped outside and sat on the porch to wait for him to get out of the truck. After about 10 minutes, I checked the tracking app as I’ve been sitting there watching him Not Getting out of his truck.. At 9:27 AM July 29, 2021 the tracking app updated stating that the tech was there on location and would “be with me shortly”.A few minutes after that. the truck pulled away!!Never once did the tech get out of his truck to perform any service!!After watching this happened right in front of me, I checked the app again and it stated that our “service was complete”.The tech would’ve had to of walked within 10 feet of me to get into the back yard to even spray. NOT once did he step out of his truck. The guy (Tony) is ripping my dad off and trying to make him pay for a service that wasn’t performed. This is absolutely unacceptable. How many times have they ripped my dad off and how many countless other customers have been ripped off like this!?
Have had a hunch that they were not doing out side yard for the first 4 applications because nothing was improving(no cameras on that side of the house), there has never been tire tracks, or remanence of fertilizer. Today we were home and noticed they only did the front and the back and skipped the side yard as expected. The side yard is 1/3 the sq feet we currently pay for. Carol at the branch was the opposite of helpful and honestly would not recommend if you are looking to improve lawn health.
Here is my TruGreen lawn. (Pics taken mid April of 2017, normally the time when your grass starts to look really good from all the rain.) This is what I paid hundreds of dollars for. I have patches upon patches of no grass at all. They applied more chemicals than they should have in the fall and killed my grass. I waited until spring to see if it improved and here are the pics. I called the local and national offices to complain. They sent out a local person to check the lawn. He left me a note and 2 bags of seed claiming that it was something called melt out. Really? Then why was my grass coming up like carpet when I was blowing my leaves in the fall? Secondly, why are YOU not fixing it!? What am I paying you for? My lawn looks worse than before you guys touched it. I had to give at least one star to post this, otherwise it would be zero.If you come and fix this, I will take down the review.
I do not agree with the Sales model of you have to have the full service then on-line just cancel want you do not want (also this is very hard to do on-line). People forget or get to busy to do this. I wanted only 3 lawn treatments because that is all that my lawn needs to stay healthy (Maintain) . I have used TrueGreen for 6 Years now, now the price is so high that it is much much cheaper to do it yourself.
Absolutely horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I appreciate the discount for paying for the whole year at the beginning of the season. It is also great to not have to worry about the scheduling. TruGreen carries out the schedule and notifies us each time they plan a treatment. We have also had excellent results from our lawn treatments. Thanks for a great job!
I do nothing but cut my lawn, the secret in getting a golf course looking lawn is in the company that maintains the weed control and fertilizer. They are very good at what they do.
Service was to be performed on 3/17/21. We had the front and rear gates unlocked, but the tech did not want to use either of those 2. He decided to use the double gate into the yard which is latched with an carabiner. He noted the gate as locked, and left. On the security cameras we watched him atleast go to the rear gate so i would assume he would have seen that one unlocked. We get an notice from the app that says no service performed. Come on... you cant unlatch a carabiner? So I immediately use the live chat on the app and made contact with Jennifer. She tells me that shell have the tech come back before 5 p.m. The joke is on me because she never said what day before 5... so no one ever showed up on the 17th. Couple of days later I call Tru Greens 800 number listed on the app, go through all the prompt and get a message that says its a 1 to 2 hour wait.... but well hold your place in line and call you back. Well folks....that didnt happen either. Next step... on to email. Made my case, sent the email. I got a automated email that said theyll get back to in in 24-48 hours. That didnt happen either. So with all that...if your looking for customer service from your lawn care company, this has the worst Ive ever seen. Ill be canceling service as soon as I find another.
The application of product on my lawn was not done to the areas agreed upon. Only 1/4 of my lawn was serviced yet they billed me for complete service. When I brought this up to Carol she told me ...you should be happy you are getting this service for $49.95... And when I said I would pay that for a full application she told me that I should ...just be happy...I asked to talk to her manager, Mark, and never got a call back.I called the corporate line and Carol called me once again... not even aware that we spoke. I asked to speak to her manager and she refused. This organization has been around for so long that the brand name is all they have left. The customer service is horrible. The application specialist are horrible. The sales people rotate so often you never get a knowledgeable person. In my opinion... stay away. Go with a local company... one you can, at least, talk to.
I signed up for the annual lawn health service which included 7 services. The first service with the 50% off deal was great. Every service since has been sub-par at most. Once the tech walked so far between passes that a quarter of my lawn was treated and they had to re-treat. I also waited 9 weeks between service 4 and 5 because they had missed me in scheduling. On my 7th service the tech stood in my yard for 5 minutes got back in his truck and I was notified my service was completed. I would gladly pay the price of TruGreen and I thought I was getting great quality and great service at a higher price. But its bad service at a high price.
Initial online request to TruGreen for analyzing lawn problem prompted return call from TruGreen Waukesha, my local franchise. Instead of addressing my concerns, only interested in selling annual program. I was assured a specialist will call me within a couple days to come and look at my lawn. Instead, the gal was pressuring me into an annual contract price. No call from a specialist. Follow up email went unanswered regarding no call from specialist.
Very courteous. Lawn looks great. Will renew their services for next year.
What kind of company still even bothers with door to door solicitation anymore, let alone in the middle of a pandemic where we are all trying to limit our contact with people outside our homes. They should be ashamed of themselves for rushing the health of their employees and the general public just to try to make a buck.
Online service as well as phone service completely the worst I have ever experienced in a business!!!
Worst company never, save your money. Had them come out to treat grubs and the product didn’t work. Called again to have them come out and re-treat and the tech canceled the service call cause he didn’t have the correct product with him and had to wait a few days for someone else to come out. Now my lawn looks terrible. Have called numerous times to have a manager call me and no one ever calls.
DO NOT USE The mosquito defense they offer! It is killing the animals around the house! Finding dead birds after the application! We have dogs... if it’s killing birds what’s it doing to our pets??? If you do use then just do the lawn care they offer!
The mosquito defense does nothing. Seriously, i call every week for a respray. They gladly come out within week and are apologetic. But i feel like its just a waste of everyones time and money. I have wrote to resolve since did prepay for summer and seeing if we can just part ways and they tried to make it better by coming to spray again. Not sure liquid solution they use and right now im starting to think its just water but its not strong enough. I appreciate them continuing to come out, being friendly on phone and service person making effort by spraying the hot spots so im trying to make this work. But tonight i used 2 layers of bug spray and finished with deep woods off because i was still getting eaten alive.
This is my first year with TruGreen after using a different provider. Definitely an upgrade over the previous company. My lawn is greener & thicker than its been in years, and any weeds that do happen to pop up are dealt with quickly. As Im usually at work when the TG technicians make their service call I have yet to meet any of them, but they always leave (hard copy & email) a complete report of what they did and how I can help keep my lawn looking great. 5 stars.
Really disappointing - I thought being a national chain they would be good but my weeds never went away - grass did not flourishUpdate - They stated that they had performed an aeration and over seeding service on 9/7 and charged for it - and no service was performed at all. Went to the office re-scheduled service for 9/15 - The day is almost done and nobody has shown up.
I appreciate the calls ahead of a service time. Also I like that the specialist gives me feedback and is able to answer questions I may have about the treatment or general care of my lawn. They are professional and even if I am not at home when they come they leave a summary of the treatment and instructions.
Weather permitting means spraying when it rains apparently. Btw, this is not effective when spraying mosquito defense. I know this from the 3 times they came and sprayed before, during and after it rained. Very disappointing.
Job Well Done!I have to take a moment and recognize the efforts of Aaron Schroeder who works out of the TruGreen Waukesha, WI office. He brought me back as a TruGreen customer after I previously reached an impasse and cancelled my account with the TruGreen National Customer Service Office. Aaron listened; addressed my concerns and developed a program that satisfied my needs. If it wasnt for Aarons efforts I would not be with TruGreen today.Earl - Waterford
They spray for mosquitoes and I love them
TruGreen is very good about keeping their schedule. I appreciate the call the day before to let me know that they will be there. I also like that they come first thing in the morning so my children are able to play on the lawn in the afternoon.
I had the service for a couple seasons now and I have had nothing but problems. Some techs were definitely better than others. Billing was a continual nightmare and they would perform services without asking me about them. I was offered a discount for the last 2 services that I had because I was going to cancel. I looked at my bank account today and no discount was applied. I finally got fed up and called to cancel. They told me that if I wanted to cancel that I wouldnt get the discount. WOW.
Our tec that serviced our yard was very well informed and helpful with questions. He has been servicing our yard for many years and knows the problem spots and how to resolve any concerns we have. We have been with your company for over 10 years and appreciate your attention to over all tree and shrub care.
Awful customer service!!!! Tried pausing the service....they keep rescheduling my lawn, which is under construction. Over an hour wait time to speak with a human! Really!?!?
I wish they would have called before they just showed up. I was having a party that day and I had to tell people to stay off the lawn, try that with little kids. Other than that the service is good.
We have been working on the violets and they are slowly dying.
As noted by a previous review - TruGreen is more concerned about their schedule than the customer. I had specifically set up a time I was going to be home to talk with the technician who came out to correct a problem they created - not to mention their burning my lawn in three different places (given a $31 credit for that). TruGreen changed the time on me - I rescheduled - they did it again - on the 2nd reschedule - the time kept changing from 11am to 12:30 to 2:30 to after 4pm - today I called to cancel the service - the person I talked to first offered me 15% off if I didnt cancel, when I said no he went up to 25% then after another no he went up to 50% off - really???? I asked if we were on a recorded line - he said yes so i reiterated what he told me I would get in refund, noting date/time and ended the call.
Disgusting and pushy unable to contact
Today was my first time using TruGreen for mosquito control. Not sure how affective it is yet but wanted to give a shout out to Chris Prom and Tina B. For the lovely note they left on the door thanking my soldier for his service . I will continue to use TruGreen just for your support!
This review is based on TruGreens sales staff. I was contacted by their salesperson after an internet inquiry. When I questioned the $550 I was quoted for a 10,000 sq. ft.lawn and said I was thinking it would be less, he said, Call us back when you can afford us. .I have never been so offended in my life. If this is how prospects are treated, I cant imagine how bad it would be as a customer.
Do not get involved with this company. After you cancel, they will call you weekly even after you request for them to stop calling you. They’re vultures. On top of that, my lawn was no different before or after they serviced my property for three years - in Wisconsin, your lawn will be green no matter what, from May through October. If you can’t manage your weeds on your own, the you’re a certain kind of special. Don’t pay for this when it literally costs nothing to seed, fertilize and treat your lawn with the exact same products purchased at a fraction of the cost from Home Depot.
They killed my bushes. The few things that grow in my yard, and they killed my burning Bush and my lilacs dont have buds on them where they usually are full by now. When confronted last year about wilting, they gave some BS and said theyd be fine. Well theyre obviously not. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE or the chemicals they used!!
Folks, just a heads up, if the TruGreen rep knocks at your door, dont let him in. Id rather let the Jehovahs Witness inside.Heres the deal, when they sign you up, the sales rep does not tell you thats it for 1 year and then continues monthly after your prepaid is up. This is an auto renewing contract that no one really notices because the notice about this being an auto renewing contract is hidden on the 2nd page. For those who are thinking, why didnt he read the notice? Well for one I contracted for exactly 1 year of service, no more no less 1 year is 1 year not 1 year and then you get put on auto-renewal.In any event, if you are on the lawn care, shrub care, and lawn aeration, if you do decide to cancel, you better be specific and cancel each services individually and verify that its been cancelled. I called in to cancel my services and the rep only cancelled by lawn service, leaving my shrub service intact. Guess what they came out when I was out of town and sprayed my shrub and had the nerve to charge me. I disputed the bills and the local manager, Jeff called and we talked. He was willingly to remove the extra charges if I signed up for another season.Damn, why did I fall for this trick, so I have another season paid for in advance 2019 and the past due balances that Jeff was supposed to have taken care of is now in collection. I have Jeffs direct cell phone, Ive called and left him a message to call me back and even texted him but no answer. I guess he got another renewal sale from me and now wants nothing to do with me.Lastly, the lawn service was good, at least they didnt burn my lawn like my neighbor with a different lawn company. It made my yard look green and fuller. This will be my last season with them and screw it Ill go back to letting the kids pluck the weed in the summer.
I will never use this company again. When I called for initial quote I was told they would give me the first treatment for 83.00 and all subsequent treatments would be 133.00. After the first treatment I checked my credit card charges and they charged 228.00 to my card. 3 times the agreed upon price. When I called to complain I was told it was because they also put down a grub treatment. I DID NOT ask for that service. I was told I would be reimbursed for the difference. Well 3 phone calls and 2 weeks later and the money has still not been refunded. Every time I call they say it will be a couple more days. Most likely hoping I will give up, but i have now opened a dispute case with my credit card company against the charge. The sad part is you cant even talk to someone from the Waukesha office when you call the number they advertise as theirs. You are put through to a national call center and just given the run around. Should have stuck with a true local business...lesson learned. Next review to go on Yelp and then the BBB.
My lawn looks better than it has ever looked. I met my lawn specialist only last week and he was professional & friendly answering my questions courteously. This is my first year with Trugreen and i am very pleased with the results.
I reported weed reappearance and in two days TruGreen was here. The service man said that this was a different formula that should work.He was very nice.
I was looking for lawn/maintenance care for my home. As I was shopping around I put in a request for a quote. No joke, I received 12 phone calls within 24 hours of placing the request for a quote. I talked to someone about what I was looking for and put together a quote after the 4th call. I was called back the next day every hour or so. Finally I decided to pick up the phone during my work hours to figure out why they were calling so much, because they did not ever leave a voicemail. Apparently they do not talk to each other or even write up a report that I had spoken with someone. This was worse than a telemarketer. I cannot believe they conduct service this way, bombarding people. Needless to say they made my decision very easy. They may or may not do great work, but Im going with a local company instead of being harassed with phone calls.
My 2nd year with TruGreen. I was very pleased that they responded quickly to my dissatisfaction with my last scheduled service. They sent someone right away to make sure everything was taken care of to my satisfaction.
Grass died even under their care
I was pretty happy with the service they provided. I thought the application did exactly what expected. My issue is with billing. We signed up on a promo rate, and were charged the full cost of the application. Then this morning they charged for a pre-pay for a full season of mosquito spray, which we did not authorize. Then they want to hold on to your money for 7-10 business days.
The weeds are dying and the lawn is thicker - in general. However, the first application missed many areas of the lawn. When I called for someone to come back out, the tech used a sprayer to be sure to get all of the areas that the ride on unit couldnt get to, great. Then a few days later I noticed several areas of burnt-out. So I called again. They said a trained specialist would come out to assess the lawn. With almost no notice the tech showed up while I was at work. Luckily I have a Ring doorbell. So when I told him I would be right there he said no need, he was just going to do a full application. Ugghhhh, i just had a full application less than 2 weeks prior-with burn-out... I told him not to do anything and I would be right there. When I asked him if he was the specialist he said that he was brand new to the company...Im trying to speak to someone at the local branch but there is no phone number. So everytime I call, I end up speaking to a call service for 5 minutes. Now I just got another notice that I. Have a service coming again tomorrow. Terrible lack of communication. Funny thing is the salesman who hooked me said I could call him back anytime if there were issues. Ive tried without any luck. This is my first year with TG and if things dont improve quickly it will be the last.
True Green lives up to its name! My grass is always beautiful green and lush. I never see a weed! This is the way it should be. Just add water.Only problem is, I have to cut it frequently.
I had high hopes of a better lawn this year. Tru Green’s definition of ‘pre-emergent’ is very different from mine. Crabgrass has sprouted and is growing very well in my yard. When calling for a respray I was lead to believe it was my fault; my lawn needed to be aerated for the chemicals to be effective. Fertilizer is the only part of the treatment that appears to be effective as I’ve cut my lawn much more this year. Fertilizer works on my ‘un aerated’ lawn but not the crabgrass pre-emergent? I’ve called for a respray for each service and my yard is still full of crabgrass. Not a happy customer and would like a refund.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEIR SERVICES!!!!!!! I’d thought I try them out for a year and see how they were. I had TONS of issues. Weeds barely ever lessened. I got the mosquito service and that did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!! The guys never knocked on the door to discuss anything. I watched them every time and waited for a knock, nope no knock. And the paper always said, “I knocked and I’m sorry I missed you.” Bull!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They always skimped and rushed when spraying my lawn, ALWAYS missing spots. I counted one time, a guy came and was gone in less then 2 minutes! I wasted hundreds on them!!!! HUNDREDS! Right away, when I first purchased, the sales guy who sold me services named MIKE, he NEVER called me back. I called and left messages MULTIPLE TIMES! Then, I realized he just wanted his commission and didn’t give a damn about me. Honestly, whoever reads this, please don’t waste your money. The year before, I bought the spray stuff from Home Depot and actually that did a better job on my lawn! (It was the non toxic stuff.) I’m going back to doing it myself and I’m trying to spread the word so people don’t make the same mistake!!!!!!! Beware or be square of TRUGREEN!
I highly recomend True green, they do a great job, and always take time to talk to me!
Burnt my lawn with fertilizer. Denied it and three different technicians and a manager each gave me different reasons. Mosquito treatment always had to be reapplied, kids always came in with bug bites.Canceled service, received a refund check and they still came out and aerated and seeded after I told them NO a second time the week prior. They also aerated part of my asphalt driveway and caused damage. Then to add further insult, they sent me a bill!!
She was very patient with all my questions. She did a very thorough job fertilizing our trees.
I was out enjoying my backyard planting my herbs and tomatoes with my two dogs on a beautiful day (albeit very windy). Tru Green guy pops around the corner and starts spraying the neighbors yard (no fences in our neighborhood) without a hello, or a heads up Maam Im going to be spraying now or anything. Wind is blowing chemicals right at me and he continued to spray as my dogs approached him (two small dogs curious as to what was going on). He was listening to music on his phone instead of paying attention. A little courtesy would have gone a long ways and I could have gotten my dogs and myself inside instead of getting a faceful of chemicals. The smell is now so bad out there that Ill have to stay in the rest of the day.
Tru Green was on time and did application very nicely.
No show.
Excellent service and the first treatment was fast after I paid for the service
Prompt service and courteous employees is what TruGreen is all about. If there is a problem they will come back and fix it.
Cancelled service because Im moving. All services that I paid for apparently werent guaranteed anymore. I paid to have the Japanese Beatle killed in birch tree and not through with warranty yet, told by manager named, Dave that because I cancelled service no work will be guaranteed. Yet my money was good enough. I spray for mesquites, still have mesquitos. USE A DIFFERENT SERVICE. They just want your money!
I was not at home at the time of the treatment, but when I returned home a couple of days later I could tell he had been here. The treatment along with the rain was great.
After the first visit we had to call and complain 1) they did not cover the area but left areas untouched..we were home and watched. 2) left stripes in the lawn due to not covering area properly. After a promise that they would fix it and another application nothing that they said would die did. Upon next applications the only weeds that were sort of wilting was the clover and dandilions. None of the more stubborn weeds were fazed by the treatments as promised. Our lawn is now patchy and worse then when they first came. :(
I had a new lawn from seed installed in 2014. In about two years, it was over run with weeds. It was full of clover, crab grass and all of their friends. I tried to self treat but it was to much for this amateur and I needed some professional help. After using TruGreen for a year, I can say that they saved my lawn from a weed takeover.Yes, they charge for their services and knowing the cost to have a lawn installed (thousands to tens of thousands of dollars), the investment Im making to have a professional crew care for my lawn is priceless. I pay as I go for service and never feel like Im stuck in some contract. They are also really good at revisiting for treatments if I feel that the lawn needs it. I would definitely recommend them.
TruGreen came out once, we were charged for 3 treatments. We didnt notice any significant change following the treatment. Of the last 3 scheduled appointments we received a call, from the technician, to cancel only once. The other times were no shows, even after we called to say my husband was taking off work in order to talk to the technician. Absolutely terrible communication between the customer service representatives and the technicians. Very little follow through and a lot of empty promises to pacify angry customers. We have cancelled our service and will never use a TruGreen service again.
Dont speach english didnt spray the whole area had them come back each time wasent killing the weeds got the spray from walmart someone does it for me
Did automatic billing twice without my permission! The mosquito spray is a joke it doesnt do poop! My kids and family were chewed up. Ive called a bunch of timed I never get anywhere. Save your money go else wear!
They really take great care of our lawn, we had an issue with some dead spots and they came out and fixed them
DONT USE TRUGREEN if you Like your lawn!! We statrted with them when we first established our lawn in our new house and we had nothing but problems with their service So, we went to Scotts Lawn and loved them. Unfortunately Trugreen bought Scotts lawn and we reluctantly went back to them, BIG MISTAKE!!! We have dead patches of grassall over our lawn and more weeds than we have ever had. They have sent managers over to our house multiple times and it is always the same excuse This was a new Technician that has been servicing your residence. We will have to give him more training. Before we left trugreen the first time, we were billed for services not rendered and improperly applied products or wring products applied. The most recent technician that came over was very honest with me and told me that they do not care about quality, it is all about the volume. They know they will loses some picky customers that care about their lawn but bank on keeping the better percentage of customers that dont really care about their lawn and settle for mediocre results. I do not know about other franchise locations. I just know that the waukesha franchise is the worst!! We watched our neighbors lawn being treated today and laughed hysterically as the tecnician literally walked around with the big hose and sprayed haphazardly in random areas of their lawn and disapeared after 5 minutes!
If I could give this company a zero, I would. June 8th they called to let us know they were coming out June 9th. June 9th they called to say they were NOT. The next Mon came and went. Same thing Tue and Wed. Thur I called them only to find out they were not coming until June 26th. 3 weeks later. They finally came June 23rd. I called to speak to a manager, No One has called me back. But a customer service person called to see how my service was the day after they finally came. Or lack there of. I told him I still have weeds and was not happy with their service. We we went thru the whole process again. July 6th they called to say they were coming. July 7th they called to say they were not. We saw a Trugreen truck on our street the morning of July 7th servicing a different house in our neighborhood. July 10th went by, July 11th went by. They finally came today. Not happy. Not happy at all with this company. And do you know how many people I have told this. Many. Even the guy who is here ON TIME to check my air conditioner knows. Yes, I will be switching to a new company. Very disappointed.
Horrible company, completely wrecked my lawn without my permission! Used them once last year, then cancelled all services! Showed up this year and I chased them away saying I canceled you last year!! Showed up a week later (I was gone) and went right over the other company I hired, who had dated signs posted, and Tru Green double fertilized my lawn! Now my grass is a crappy shade of brown! I have tried to contact them 3 times but can never talk to a manager!! I wonder if i have a lawsuit!!!!
Im not sure if its all of TruGreen or just my local establishment, but they use predatory practices for sales. They overbill and pretend that it was a mistake. I gave them multiple opportunities and now they tried to start autobilling me for about double the services OKd the previous year. DO NOT USE THEM. Find a local landscaper to do the job. Unethical practices and poor exuses.

Luis was a good worker, friendly, polite, informative, and, worked efficiently.
UPDATE : FIRED!Since they joined forces with Scotts a year or so back....just terrible, the only word to describe the company from their Customer Service to the Techs that MAY show up for your appointment to treat your lawn. After 4 long years got rid of them,Waukesha office. We hired a local small biz guy for $30 more per application but he shows up AND he treats the lawn as promised.Unlike Trugreen who IF they show up more often than not they would leave a service receipt and bill without so much as even touching the lawn.GREAT RESULTS if you make SURE you are there at your home when they come out.Watch as they apply the entire product to your yard or they will say they did it and even leave a receipt and yard flag!I only go through this because they sold me a good deal and I am holding them to it.If they come while your gone call them for reservicing.
Hard to contact, impossible to cancel. Will do your yard in the rain, and charge you, if you dont stop them. They will high pressure sell you every lawn item, even if you have just had it done, even by them. Im talkin 2 calls a day, EVERY DAY, and thats real. Plus the guy doing your lawn uses scare tactics to get you to buy things you do not need. The green is not your yard, it is your money. All big companies are the same, they are timed to the second, and have to run to do your yard. Go to small startups they care and will spend time doing it right. Former employee worked at TG SCOTTS NATURESCAPES. ALL THE SAME!!!!
Poor customer service! Its the beginning of June and Im still waiting for my first application.. It seems after several phone calls somebody would know how to schedule a lawn service.
From my personal view point this is a poor business and I would not bother wasting my money with them.
Hired Trugreen for the season to aerate, fertilize, and treat for grubs. Prepaid last winter for the discount. So far this year theyve damaged my lawn twice by over-applying chemicals. My complaint was referred to a regional manager (after more than 6 follow-up calls from me) who came to my house and instead of addressing my concerns tried to sell me additional bug treatment services. Yesterday they came to fertilize, and based on the previous over-application of liquid fertilizer I asked them to apply granular. The tech agreed, and then fifteen minutes later I found him spraying liquid. Overall: expensive, horrible customer service, will take my lawn years to recover from their help.
Fast, thorough and courteous.
Poor local managerial service, poor customer service at the corporate level, no customer service at the local level. I sent 4 emails to the corporate office and NEVER heard back from them at all. The people at the corporate service service are useless - nothing is ever followed-up on. Wouldnt recommend them to an enemy for service.
Wow is all I can say. Joseph the Tech very professional man, Jack the manager telling me youll look into the repeating issue of not showing up on a scheduled treatments and then acting likes its a surprise amazes me. Take ownership of the problem and resolve it. If you can get rid of my weeds why would I want any other TruGreen service?
Good service
Snakes selling over priced lawn treatments.
These guys are not caring, so lawn care is not what they do.
Good service
