I could not have been happier with the service I received at Whitmore’s. As a women I always fear that I am going to be taken advantage of by mechanics by being talked into additional services (we’ve all heard the horror stories) but I felt at ease as soon as I entered Whitmore’s. I was greeted by the owner, who was so welcoming. She explained that the mechanic would take a look at my vehicle and let me know what they found needed repair and how much the parts and labor would be, prior to doing any of the work. I ended up needing back breaks, an oil change and a new filter. I was happy with the speed of the work and the price I paid. I was so impressed that I recommended my fiancé take his vehicle to Whitmore’s as well. My fiancé has been driving around in a car that hasn’t run quite right for a few years. We have been putting band-aid fixes on bigger problems just to make the car run. We weren’t sure who to trust and how much it would end up costing. I am happy say that Whitmore’s replaced his radiator and exhaust and the car is running like new. Whitmore’s just earned two additional loyal customers and I will gladly recommend them to anyone needing care repair or a tow!

We cant say enough great things about Dane and this company! We were stranded on 94 in Gurnee on Memorial Day weekend after our car broke down. We tried using our auto insurance towing policy which left us hanging, called another company which again didnt pan out and we were so lucky to finally end up with WSI! Dane brought our car to an Algonquin dealership and then even brought us home as it was 1:30AM. He went over and above what he needed to do and to top it off, the price was very reasonable. If you are in need of any of WSIs services, please, please consider using them!

Wow I am completely blown away by the service provided by Whitmores Wrecker Service! I called Antioch Towing and was given a 2 hour wait time! I called Whitmores wrecker services and Daane arrived within 30 minutes! Highly recommend this company for any services you need in the future! Thank you guys soooo much!

Their drivers are crazy! One of them nearly took the front end off of my rig on the interstate! I called to make a complaint and they put me on hold for several minutes and never answered the phone. I think that says a lot about their business

Recommended! I was in a car crash in unincorporated Lake County. Whitmores has the contract with Lake County Sheriffs office for wrecker services. I had no other options to select from but Robert from Whitmores showed up and he was very professional. Later I had easy access to my wrecked vehicle in their storage lot to access my personal items. The staff is very friendly and they worked seamlessly with my insurance. I never saw a bill from them.

Whitmores always performs the repair work on a quality basis and for the amount of the estimate. Been a customer for 12 years. I highly recommend them.

DO NOT USE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFFDecided to go with these guys because they were showing to be only 4 miles away from my truck. Called in and spoke to Amber she advised me that it was $250 an hour and the time starts from when we called in also said they can be there within 40 minutes. Tow truck arrived at 11:28 AM his name was Tom. Long story short i told the driver to let me know when they arrived to the shop which she did; truck arrived to destination at 12:38 PM. All together from when the tow truck was called to when it arrived to the final destination it was just over an hour and a half.Tom ends up calling for payment telling me I owe him $875 for 3 1/2 hours. I questioned him how he came up with that he got smart with me and said well you have to pay for my way back to the terminal. So now they charged me an extra two hours for him to drive 18 miles back to the terminal. Also tried to call the manager Randy he was no help either.RIP OFF REPORTDO NOT USE. DO NOT USE. DO NOT USE. DO NOT USE.!!!!

Worst company ever, the guy takes over an hour getting my car on tow because he doesnt know how too pick up a fwd car, them he breaks the car even more by dropping it in the grass, spoke to the owner or manager Jeff [ idiot] they guy swears up and down he didnt do anything. After they admitted too dropping my.car off the truck and damaging my control arm, cv shaft, ball joints, and crack in the spindle even more. He claims he didnt nothing wrong. Since when do you drag fwd cars from the back without damaging the transmission?

I was coming back from Wisconsin,, my Mom just got diagnosed with cancer.. My truck broke down along 294. Called Whitmores and the driver came out( Cory) awsome guy, put me at ease told me to sit in his truck and he would take care of the rest. Jammin to XRT ...perfect .Took my truck to their Shop said they would let me know whats up with my truck.. I thought myself, here we go there gonna tell me anything expensive.Called the next day said its either the fuel filter or fuel pump. They could of told me fuel pump for way more $$$$$. How would I have known. Ended up being the fuel filter. 300 out the door including tow.. I just want to thank them for there honesty. Good to still find honest people.. ThanksTim

Their way to buy the book it was a holiday so I couldnt pick up my car or pay the fee that I was trying to pay and there was somebody there that day but they told me I could not get it because nobody was at the register, but dont worry the guy will take in consideration of the holiday but he did not so they ask me for an extra $500 because the weekend and the holiday Not to mention they dont know how to tow of because they damaged the hell out of my car, my wheel fell off but they say it was my fault?!?!?!

These people towed my motorcycle, when I retrieved it 2 days later it was totaled. I had photos of the bike literally 5 minutes before it was towed, when I picked it up the brake lever was twisted, wind shield broken, all plastics scratched, pegs scratched. To repair the bike would cost more than what the bike is worthI talked to the employee and they claimed they did nothing wrong.THIS COMPANY TOTALLED MY MOTORCYCLE AND OWES ME $2700. I am filing a law suit against this company, the owner and their insurance company for $20,000.
