Was going to get charged $150 at the dealer for an airbag code. Did a Google search on good mechanics in the area, and Bobs Garage Inc showed up. Gave him a call to schedule an appointment, and in 10 minutes he was able to calibrate my passenger occupancy sensor. He was kind, and very honest. Will definitely come here for all my automotive needs.

Had a leak around fuel pump. Bob took care of it for cheaper than the other guys and did so in a very timely manner. Explained absolutely every issue he found in great detail and all of his repairs in great detail. Cannot ask for a better experience.

Bob and his crew are great mechanics who wont overcharge you for repairs. Theyll also let you know what they noticed will need attention in the future, but they wont inflate their invoices with services you dont need/arent urgent.

I must say this was ridiculously amazing as far as experiences go. My girlfriends car was purposely sabotaged or so it seems and instead of charging me thousands in labor for the many hours put into my car for diagnostics he chose to charge a very very fair price for his time. Also good news is most of the vehicle is up to par. I am one of those people that NEED to know whats going on with my car and not once did I get even any attitude when I called multiple times a day. I had an excellent experience taking my car in to Bob at Bobs Garage. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to, making the usual ordeal of taking your car in for repairs feel much more relaxed than it would have in a less friendly environment. Beyond that, the service was speedy considering how many different vehicles were being repaired at once, and his taking it into emissions testing for me saved me the hassle of doing it myself. My car has never run better, and I wouldnt hesitate to bring it back to Bob again should any other issue arise.

Bob did a great job on my wifes car. I usually do not trust anyone else with her car but due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to complete her repairs. Every step of the way he let us know how things were going and and went into details about why things had gone wrong with previous repairs that were completed by someone else, and we knew they had messed up but we could not show proof that what was wrong with the car( wheel bearings). Our car broke on our way to Wisconsin from Chicago. In our misfortune we were lucky to find Bobs garage. Bob did a really great job fixing my car for a fair price. And he was very helpful and very professional.

After I picked up a second-hand 2005 Dodge Magnum w/AWD that had a parking lot shudder problem and numerous age and neglect glitches, I tried the Dodge dealer and got a whopper bill but no fixes. I tried a couple other mechanics with no better results. I took it to Bob and it got fixed. I took it back when the S and Traction control idiot lights came on and we hoped for the best and planned for the worst. It turned out to be as we feared but the problem was fixed for a price well below what I had expected. As long as I drive a car, he has a customer.

Bob answered all my questions patiently and toched base with me several times while figuring out what was wrong with my vehicle. Happy with the work that was done. My only suggestion is he needs office help for phone calls and organization.

If I could give negative stars I would! Brought my car in for an estimate ONLY as I needed to save up for repairs and wanted to know what I was looking at. Left my car in the am and went to get it the same evening as I was told I could. When I got there I was speaking to the desk guy when Bob himself comes in and starts swearing telling me he already began working on it and how he is sick of people dropping cars off and not wanting them fixed. I was told I could not have my car back! Next day I return to a hefty bill only to be told my car wasnt really fixed just rigged to pass emissions. Fast forward 3 weeks engine light is back on same code. I got 3 days in a row at 415 only to have the doora lockes3and no mesages returned. 2nd opinion tells me the original problem was with the engine ultimately causing the codes. Which had it been looked at the first time my engine would not have blown and I would have a vehicle still. Out money and no car all for a rush job and no concern for people. All about the money. Not to mention when I finally got my car from them, its parked around the corner and down the road BACKED INTO a fence leaving scratches on the bumper.

Went there early before I had to go to work, needed a new alternator. Asked the guy going in and out of the place that I needed a alternator and how soon could he get one put in. I think I was talking to some scarecrow chewing on tabacco or breakfast. Just blowing me off like it was too early for him to work . My time mattered also. So I took my business down the street and went to pepboys instead and they took care of me fast. I guess you have to go somewhere and not believe all the hype you read on reviews. To bad it was not a positive experience.

It was expensive and a little more than I was quoted but he went beyond and out of his way to make sure it was done right.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.My family and I were passing through Waukegan as my husband is in the military and we are moving across the country. Our service engine soon light came on so we took it to Bobs. A diagnostic to see what repairs the vehicle needs is $111 (although we had already had the code read and he could see what was wrong). When Bob quoted us $1500-2000 in repairs, we told him wed pick up the car for a second opinion. When he was upset we wouldnt pay him to do the repairs, he cleared the code so the next mechanic wouldnt be able to read what was wrong. Dude and his sidekick in the office are greedy and dishonest. We went to Velasquez in Waukegan instead and got our car repaired. Crazy theyd screw over an active duty service member literally driving his family across the country because we wanted a second opinion.

I own a suburban with canadian emissions and it will not pass the emissions test i live near ohare airport so i went to the guy who is supose to be the gurue by my house. He acted like i was bothering him with my problem and told me he would try to research what to do with canadian emissions vehicles and try to get back to me in a few days. I told him thanks and quickly left his service counter. When i got back to my car i called bobs garage and talked to bob he knew instantly what my car needed to pass the test. Within 24 hours bob was done with my truck and he was driving it through the emission test and having it pass. Bob did outstanding work,customer service and very fair price. I would recomend bob to anyone who needs work done on thier vehicle. Thanks for your help getting my suburban legal again.

Dont go there or you will get rip off. And he will make sure you pay lots of money if you dont give him your business by messing up your car. Took a running car to him and he return a non working car back. Dont believe all those reviews on Facebook or the radio station.
