I came in for a state inspection (last day of month, so very helpful for a last minute appointment). I’m a lifelong mechanic and capable inspector, and maintenance test pilot of aircraft, do my own work and am highly familiar with my car and it’s maintenance. Place charged $2.59 for fluids, seals, sprays without explanation. They told me my wiper blades were cut upon inspection (I had been running them in torrential rain the day before so it’s not like I would not have noticed if they were in bad shape). I can’t prove they ripped them intentionally, but since they got you over a barrel at 20 bucks a blade, I acquiesced. Got pitched a transmission flush “appropriate“ for my mileage, despite there being no way for them to determine the conditions of that fluid. It’s new BTW. Of course, if my transmission fluid was even a factor for any state inspection I would have entertained the idea but this is yet another attempt to get more cash. Told my alignment was off. Incredible seeing how it wasn’t even on a lift or measured. After bringing my concerns to the guy behind the counter, he assumed that I was implying his guy cut my wipers. I asked about what the fluid charges were for and the reply was “ that just pops up”. Then he asked me to leave and never to return. This is a shop full of shady thieves. State weights and measures and DMV will be called to investigate. Stay away from this place. Scam city

We have been stationed at Fort Drum twice now and have used and trusted G Wizz since 2016. They have great customer service, they work around your schedule, and they help take great care of your vehicle. Weve had oil services, tires, inspections, repairs... and its always top notch. We tried other auto shops before finding G Wizz and they always seemed to recommend unnecessary services or diagnose issues that didnt exist. G Wizz isnt like that; Sean and crew are honest and trustworthy. I recommend them to everyone regarding any vehicle services because they really do it all.

I went in for insurance pictures and was surprised. My brother had went in two days earlier with my other vehicle and he said they were great with him also. The service was fast and courteous, unlike other places who like to put nonpaying customers to the side. The inside was clean and I couldnt believe all the services that were available there. They have a nice selection of tires and other accessories for your vehicle.

I went in the morning to have my tires installed and it took them 5minutes to get the car in to have them installed. Service was fast and friendly. Easy to work with and explained all charges..

I got a new truck and not only did they sneak me in a week early. They were able to fix everything wrong with my vehicle and when they had to keep working to fix issues they found, they were able to help me with my payments and helped me with a rental to get back and forth from work. Great job guys!

FIND ANOTHER SHOP.. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!! Came in last week and needed a vehicle inspection and decided to get an oil change. After about 20 minutes or so, Amanda comes over and tells me that I need my brakes changed as well as some piece at the bottom of my car changed in order to pass inspection. That totaled to over $3000, and they still didn’t change my oil rather they let it run out; not to mention I already paid. Came back the next day and she gave me this excuse of the oil filter they put on was defaulted. They deliberately altered the tires of my car to make it drive funny so that I could pay to have done what they wanted but I did not. Took my car to get inspected in Buffalo, NY and none of what they said was true. And I passed inspection because my vehicle was in perfect condition, there was a recommendation to change my brakes but they guy said they were fine. Long story short, this place is a rip off. I saved over $3000 getting another opinion. They see you in uniform and automatically think “fool, we can get money out of them”, but I happen to be one of the smarter soldiers considering that I have my degree in Finance. Though I don’t know much about vehicles, I know a ton about scams and the do’s and dont’s of rip offs.

The gang at GWizz took great care of me.....Im new in the area from out west and needed my car set up for winter! That in addition to a regular servicing and multiple additional requests :). They gave me a great deal on the tires and services, communicated pricing and scope of services clearly and thoroughly, and got the job done quickly and professionally. Ill definitely be back! I was new to the area and chose G Wizz to help with insurance pictures and a damaged tire. I visited them 3 times in a few weeks and they treated me like a regular. With each visit, they got me in right away and kept the wait to a minimum. Amanda was the service agent I dealt with the most and she was very friendly and professional. I recommend these folks!

First auto facility in a while that I have been to and felt I was genuinely being cared for and received honest customer service. The employees, especially Amanda, were a pleasure to work with from scheduling the appointment, to explaining the problems with the inspection (visually I might add), down to the payment. This is the best auto shop in Watertown, NY! Been bringing both my cars here for a few years already and they provide the best quality service. The staff and owner is amazing and will work with you to get you quick service and back on the road safely.

They were nice and friendly while they took pictures for my new insurance, and happily advised me I was overdue for an inspection and they could do it for me, which is fine. They then tried to convince me a feature of my car was not up to code and would need to be fixed. A feature that is in my user manual and consists of my parking lights flashing. You know. So you can see Im parked in evening or morning time. Also told me I had more issues with my car than I really did.

We took our car here this morning to get an inspection and they tried to tell us that it would need $1100 worth of work to pass inspection. Luckily, my husband is a mechanic and knew they were lying so, we took it to another inspection place who said there is nothing wrong with this car and they were trying to rip you off. He gave us an inspection sticker and we were on our way. The people at this place should be ashamed of themselves because some people would have believed them and paid that money!!In response to the owner. We took your report with us to the place that issued our inspection sticker and they inspected the same parts of the vehicle and still said there was no reason not to issue a sticker. Our sons safety is OUR #1 priority and I can promise yours is money!!

Five stars. They helped me get my carco inspection done when Widrick auto sales complained it was sprinkling outside, and they didn’t try to tell me my truck needed work when it didn’t which some shops are notorious for. Staff is awesome very friendly will definitely go back for regular maintenance as needed and probably get the under coating done on my truck they offer.

The team was very fast at working on my car repairs. It was a pricy bill, but I’m still glad they took care of my needs and kept great communication with me very well, even when I was out of town!

Went in for an inspection, and they spent 40 minutes trying to do an inspection, told me it was gonna be $50 to change a light bulb that took my husband less than 2 minutes to change right hand to god! Said i had a horrible oil leak that i or my husband never noticed but when we got home all of the sudden drive way full or oil. They said for the light that’s costs $2 that it would be $50 in labor, with two front breaks and to de-grease ( not even fix!!!) for all three things would cost me $600 absolutely ridiculous!!

What a great place. My truck was in trouble, bad seal on the pumpkin had been leaking grease on my brakes for years. No other shop told me that I needed to fix it they just kept fixing my brakes 3 times in one year. Finally the team at Gwizz fixed my brakes and told me the problem. I know feel safe in my truck. And my wallet feels safer too. Thanks Guys!

Honest, friendly, accomodating, professionals. I had a 10 year old truck in for nys inspection. They listed the tired parts of the truck as tired but not failing. I had a license plate light out due to a bad socket and a Dr. Appointment. They got the part while I went to the Dr. I got back 10 minutes before they close, they got it in and out in 20 minutes. Stayed a little late for me. Great service! Thank you!

Place truly is a joke, they will literally fail you for anything and I mean literally. Ive never had such an issue with getting an inspection done especially on two newer type vehicles. I failed for having a score mark from a clip. The second car, the windshield wiper blade squeegee was pulling slightly off of the rode, you had to pull on it to even notice which I dont even think was messed up to begin with. Just trying to make money off of people since they cant make money on inspections.Ps. Brought the rotor that I took off to another place just to ask for another opinion, they laughed and said they must have been in a ball busting mood today and that it shouldnt have been failed since the brakes worked fine and it wasnt scratching anymore.

They were fantastic, they did our photo inspection for us for our new insurance, both Amanda and Nicole were amazing we will definitely be going back.

Customer service from the OWNER was awful and he showed me his child-like attitude. Lady at the desk was perfect professional. Anytime employees are better than the boss, there is a major problem. They lost my business on the first transaction.

Was told a job was going to cost around 950 to pass inspection, I was unable to pay the first sum at the time but could pay part of it off. Pay doing that the total increased by a 300, around 300 for the first payment and round 900 to pay off the rest. I was not informed of this price increase, and as a young 19 year old male who is forced to take car of himself; this caused me some obvious financial troubles. Would be appreciated if the same wasnt done to other people, we are supposed to work together as a community; not trying our best to make an extra buck.

I am not impressed with this location on Leray Street. I went in for an annual inspection and I was asked by the front clerk for some paper work from another auto facility. I wanted to personally get if from my car because it was not visibly seen. After spending a couple of minutes reasoning with this guy as to why I wanted to be the one to go through my car and not have him do it, especially since I cannot see him, he allowed me into the garage. Right away I noticed that someone had already taken the liberty to go through some files in my back seat, got the paperwork and tried to put it in the same spot-FAILURE!..especially when theres a greasy finger print left on the paper!Secondly, the clerk and the guy who deals with auto repair insisted that I give them the quote from another facility that I was given for my car so that they could go off that estimate instead of creating one of their own. To me, that is a sign of laziness, especially since this is going through an insurance company. I expect it to be more professional than that.I will not go back to this location for auto repair, inspection or car rental. I will let you, the reader, be the judge of their service. Hopefullly, they will realize that dishonesty is not how one should conduct business.

DO NOT go here for service ! They are over priced and do not have professional workers. I took my car here for a detail (salt removal) $140 down the drain. Once I paid they told me they couldn’t get the salt out and refused to give me a refund ! Worst experience ever !

Gwizz Auto has and is by far the best mechanic shop I have ever visited. Everyone from the manager, to the wonderful ladies at the desk, even the new guy is cool. They have guided me through a maze of vehicle repair. They have worked on everything of mine from a 96 saturn coupe to a 2014 subaru outback. Not only do they tell you what needs to be replaced, they inform you of what may be an issue down the road. I trust them not only with my vehicle, I trust them with my wifes car as well. They are the most honest and loyal mechanic shop I have ever been to. I even stop by just for a cup of coffee and say hi even when I dont need work done. Try them once and I know youll be back.

Went in for an inspection for two vehicles, took the first in they charged us $80.00 to tighten a barring they.claimed was loose(our vehicle had just had a tune up the previous month at a different location) and to.replace two light bulbs. Paid it got my sticker following day car #2 they want to charge us $700.00+ to replace a tie rod and to only look at the possibly broken emergency brake. We called BS took our vehicle to Sears tie rod was fine and they did a minor adjustment to the emergency brake for free. Total.cost from Sears $0.00 went back to gwizz with the problems fixed and they would not give us our sticker went to an oil change/inspection site car passed without a problem. BEWARE OF GWIZZ they should be black listed

Keep you updated down to specifics and dont get your car back all ghetto like I have before from other places who leave ashes and the lingering smell of smoke in my vehicle. Or reciepts from stores or fast food places showin that they cruised around in my car and didnt even pick up after themselves.GWizz is where its at, dependable and great work!

Gwizz......Customer recommendation: Rent somewhere else. Poor value and they seem to be a Local only rental which was not communicated properly. Person who identified himself as owner proved to be rude and was overly defensive when this miscommunication was brought to his attention. They wasted my time for a horrible value proposition, were overpriced and their terms were not industry standard(they did not want me driving out of state for some reason). I went to Hertz and got the same price for unlimited miles, and had a seamless transaction without the poor attitude demonstrated at Gwizz. Gwizz should be your last choice, if at all.

0 StarsGot a reservation made for a rental. When I get there the place is closed on Sundays. Something they should have mentioned since I already knew it was closed on Sundays but thought they had some type of arrangements for their customers. I was wrong so wrong. Will never do business there again.

Scheduled a one day rental a month in advance. Got there and they knew exactly what we were there for and proceeded to let us know they didnt have anymore cars. Then we were told they tried to contact us multiple times, which no phone calls were recieved. I actually received a rental confirmation the day before we got there. So basically they knew they were in the wrong then tried to blame us for their poor planning and management of rental vehicles. Very unprofessional buisness.

My car wouldnt start so I had it towed there. They had it for a week and couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. They left the keys in the ignition and killed the battery while they had it. They told me it was something in the security system and I needed to take it to a dealer. I had it towed to the dealer and they found it had a blown fuse. I wish I had taken it to the dealer to start with. I could have saved myself the tow bill, cost of a new battery, and the diagnostic fee for them to tell me that it was the security system.

This place is a ripoff. I went in for a NYS inspection, which failed. I was told I needed to remove my tint $25 per window (2 rear passenger windows and the 2 mini split windows)= $100, tie rod+ wheel bearing+ I was told I had a fuel leak. So, I attempted to save myself money removed all the tint. The estimate was somewhere around 350, minus the fuel leak because they had to get more into the vehicle to determine where it was coming from. I m thinking I saved a 100, nope. When I brought it in for my appointment Chris kept my initial estimate, printed another and upped my prices for his basic parts to the equivalent of Autozones top of the line parts. Of course I had to point this out then we went into the fact that if I bring in my own parts the labor is voided. I rented a car for the day as I was told my would take all day, which he claimed was a deal..... I knew it was the going local rate. However, against my better judgement I left my car there. So, I leave feeling anxious because I knew this guy was trying to take advantage of me, but I also knew everywhere else was booked and my car would fall out of the nys inspection period. Yes, my fault for waiting so till the last minute. First and last time that will ever happen. I get the call at 10am my car is done, but the leak wasnt on the bottom.... FML. He has to drop the fuel tank, which is full.....lmao $350 just to drop it. He tells me it could just be a seal once we get it off or the pump! I tell him proceed and research the price is reasonable, I drive over to get estimates of the 2-3 major parts it could possibly be, place is empty my car is on the lift and no mechanic working. Chris tells me he is busy, he doesnt have time to do that. I tell him I m trying to anticipate the for the worst case scenario, and pricing various part places. He says no. Long story short, I stayed nearby where I could watch them, 3pm rolls around they still have not touched it, they close at 5pm. The dropping of the tank was described as taking 6 hrs. I call the dealership and confirm an open slot & price to diagnose even if the tank has to be dropped $100 flat to diagnose. I go back to Chris and when I walk thru the door he claims we were just about to drop the tank. I explained to him the facts, that my car had not been touched since 10am, that how would they get the tank off and my vehicle fixed in 2 hours when it was quoted at a 6 hr job. I asked if the tank was still full, it was. How could they drop the tank with it full of gas. I told him lets just settle the bill. He went on and on about how he never did not get along with a customer. How him helping me with a deal on the rental must have not meant anything. At that point I told him he was insulting my intelligence, I told him he screwed me in my initial estimate because I removed the tint myself, then he increased the rate on the parts to make up for it. As for the rental it was the standard rate, he did me no favors. The $350 just to drop the tank was BS. I asked what were you going to do call me at 5pm and say it was just a seal! I told him drop my car off the lift and lets settle this bill as is before I become that customer you truly do not want to hear from. I was professional and calm, I am a Veteran, and an RN, but this place was trying to take advantage of me while smiling in my face and calling it a deal. Then he had the nerve to try to make me feel bad, dirty move on the wrong woman. i had to be patient and wait to get in till the following week at ford dealership but guess what? I had no leak!!! I passed the NYS inspection. Now, I was smelling fuel before, so that tells me whatever it was, it was an easy fix that gwizz fixed. If I had left it till 5pm at gwizz I probably would have gotten that call saying its done and only a seal.... $365 charge later for something they finished within the first 2 hours Never requiring them to drop the fuel tank. STAY AWAY THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY.

This place is a rip off!!! Dont send your car here for any repair (Nickel and Dime establishment) ....They charged me for a diagnostic that didnt need to be done. I had no check engine light on when I sent my car here. Also, my car had an inspection that failed due to safety reasons not omissions (which I passed) The mechanic told me I had to get brake work done to get it to pass inspection. I took my car to a different place which told me that my brakes would last me another mth or so and that it wouldnt affect me passing NYstate inspection. Thanks for keeping it real! It pays to get a second opinion!!!! I saved almost $1,000 minus the 104.00 they TOOK from me!!The only thing good about this place is the receptionist -shes friendly but they will extort your pockets!! Ill give their receptionist 5 stars ; )

I brought my truck here for a check engine light... upon running a diagnostic they determined my evap emissions solenoid needed replacing. I waited over 2 hrs for the work to be completed and payed $450 for the repair. 2 weeks later the light came on again, and indicated n evap leak. The test to find the leak cost me another $80 and the source of the leak was a hose left completely unclamped after the prior repair.

Last week I took my car to get its NYC inspection and they told me I had multiple leaks the lady that works at the desk told me it would be $1,000 to fix I told her I didn’t have the money she tried to tell me to ask to borrow it from somebody else’s but what I didn’t tell them was I was a mechanic and I took it to Billrapp in Syracuse and it passed the next day and they said it didn’t have a single leak . This place will rip you off and make you waste your money.

Brought my car there for an inspection and they added 30 extra dollars for one wiper blade and license plate bulb. Never go here so a $21 inspection ended up being $65! What a rip off
